04x13 - The Mossland Monster

Post by bunniefuu »

WILYKIT: Have a safe trip
to New Thundera, Tygra.

Yeah. Hope you don't miss
Third Earth too much.

No chance, Wilykat.

I'll be too busy catching up
with Lion-O and the others.

Well, don't forget about us.

We need the Feliner to return
to New Thundera ourselves.

[LAUGHS] Don't worry, Cheetara.
I'll be back before you know it.

[IN UNISON]
Thundercats, h*!

Hey, Lion-0.
Take a look at this meteor shower.

By Jaga! That's some storm.

PANTHRO:
About the worst one I've ever seen.

And it's right in Tygra's flight path.
I just hope he's picked it up on his radar.

Let's not take any chances, Panthro.
You'd better warn him.

You got it.

Cats' Lair calling Tygra.

PANTHRO:
Come in, Tygra. Are you receiving me?

Come in, Tygra.

Copy, Panthro. What's the problem?

There's a heavy-duty meteor storm
right in your flight path.

You'd better give it the bady-swerve
if you want to stay healthy.

Check, Panthro.
I'll set a course around it.

Better safe than sorry, Tygra.
Catch you later.

TYGRA:
Blasted storm.

It's going to take me hours longer
to go around it.

Let's take a closer look.

Looks like a pretty
regular shower to me.

I reckon I can handle it.

[THUNDER CLAPPING]

TYGRA: So we'll forget
about dodging around the storm.

We'll just dodge our way through it.

Anti-impact subframe in place,
accelerator to factor 19.

And it's action stations.

PANTHRO:
Hey, something's wrong.

Tygra's heading through the storm.

He'll never make it.

[THUNDER RUMBLING]

TYGRA: A meteorite whirlwind.
Now, I have got problems.

[SCREAMS]

He's out of control.

He's got to straighten out.

Or he'll burn up
when he hits the atmosphere.

[ALARM BEEPING]

He's headed towards the Mosslands.

Bad news. That's unexplored territory.

[TYGRA GRUNTING]

[GROANS]

That was a close call.
Better check in with Cats' Lair.

Wha--? Nothing.

Looks like I'm going to have
to get out of this mess on my own.

TYGRA:
Better check out the damage.

We can see him,
but we can't talk to him.

Only one thing to do, Panthro.

We've got to get out there
and find him.

One of the boosters is gone.

Have to wire the other one
for double thrust.

So that's it, Cats.

The Feliner's damaged,
the communications system's down...

...and Tygra's marooned
in the Mosslands.

Reow. That creepy place.
We've got to get him out of there.

You said it, Snarf.

So just keep an eye on the monitor
while Panthro prepares the ThunderTank.

We're mounting a rescue party.

Ah, that should do the trick.

[ENGINE BLASTS]

[RUMBLING]

[GROWLS]

Tygra. Reow.

What is that thing?

Lion-0. Lion-O. Help!

[TYGRA GRUNTS]

Reow. It must have been
a hundred feet high, Lion-O.

All covered in moss.
It's attacking Tygra, look.

Well, what's to see, Snarf?

What's to see?

Snarf.

It was there.

I promise. You don't believe me.

I believe you saw something, Snarf.
But a hundred-foot moss plant?

It's true. It's true. I swear it.

All right, all right, Snarf.

The ThunderTank's almost ready.
We'll get out there and investigate.

[GROWLING]

Okay, you overgrown zucchini.

If that's how you wanna play it.

TYGRA:
I need time to figure this out.

Now you see me, now you don't.

[TYGRA GRUNTS]

No! Ah! What's happening to me?

I can't move my legs.

[GRUNTING]

I'm-- I'm stuck.

[GROWLS]

Reow. I'm telling you, Snarfer,
it must have been a hundred feet high.

All covered in moss.

Yeah, right.

Okay, Uncle Snarf.
I believe you, I believe you.

Snarf, well, I'm glad someone does.

No sign of Tygra or the Feliner.

Or any monsters.

Reow. I saw it.

LION-O:
Come on, we've no time to waste.

We'd better split up.
We'll cover more ground that way.

Thundercats, h*!

Snarf, we'll check out the lay
of the land from the top of this hill.

Though even if we see something,
I don't suppose anyone will believe us.

SNARF:
Reow. Nothing to see anyway.

Just a bunch of moss.

Guess we'll just have
to follow our noses.

Come on, Snarfer.

Yeah, right.
I'm with you, Uncle Snarf.

Just as soon as I get rid
of this...mossy stuff. Oh!

Can't you ever keep out
of trouble, Snarfer?

Wait up. I'll get you out.

[MONSTER GROWLS]

Okay, okay, give me a break, will you?
I'm doing my best.

I didn't say anything, uncle.

You-- You didn't?

Well, what the--?

SNARFER:
Reow!

Uncle Snarf.
It's turning everything to moss.

Reow. Don't panic, Snarfer.
Just do what I do.

-What are you gonna do, uncle?
-Run.

SNARFER: Wait for me.
-Okay.

-Come on. Come on.
-Reow, reow.

Snarf. Just wait till I see Lion-O.

No monsters, indeed.

Who does he think this is?
The Jolly Green Giant?

I hate to interrupt you, Uncle Snarf,
but it looks to me like this is it.

Reow. Never give up, Snarfer.

You've still got me to protect you.

[SNARFER SCREAMING]

Quick, get in the ThunderTank.
We'll try and hold this thing off.

You got it.

I don't know what this thing is...

...but it looks like it's going
to be a tough nut to crack.

Hang in there, Bengali.
Let's give it the old double whammy.

Now you're talking.

-Huh?
-It's no good.

BENGALI:
It's indestructible.

LION-O: Back to the ThunderTank.
It's time to beat a tactical retreat.

[BENGALI SCREAMS]

[GROWLS]

SNARFER:
Hurry, Bengali. It's gaining on us.

Head for the hills, Bengali.

We'll try and lose it in there.

BENGALI:
Sure thing, Lion-0.

[MONSTER ROARING]

He's still gaining on us.

If we can't stop him,
maybe we can slow him down a little.

-Take the wheel, Snarf.
-Okay, Lion-0.

Okay, bright eyes,
let's see you get out of this.

h*!

[RUMBLING]

Who or what is that thing?

Ah, let's see how he likes
the mighty hammer of Bengali.

[MUMBLING]

BOTH:
Reow. Reow.

SNARF:
Oh, reow, a dead-end.

Okay, Snarf.
If you can't go forwards, go upwards.

BOTH:
Reow.

[FOOTSTEPS POUND]

Reow. If we don't
get out of here soon...

...we'll end up looking
like a vegetable patch.

Wait. Stop the tank.

What are you thinking, Lion-O?

If we can start a rock slide...

...we might just be able
to stop that thing.

[GRUNTING]

Come on, unc.
Let's give them a hand.

I've got a better idea than that.

Good thinking, Snarf.

[HOWLING]

I guess it was just some kind
of weird plant mutation.

Right, Snarfer.

Probably caused
by the tremendous pressures...

...which built up
when Thundera was reforming.

Well, whatever it was,
it's gone for good.

But we've still got to find Tygra.

[MONSTER GROWLS
AND SNARFER WHIMPERS]

Not again, snarf.

[FOOTSTEPS THUD]

[MONSTER ROARING]

Looks like this is it, Lion-O.

It's not over till it's over, Bengali.

I can sense that help is at hand.

Jaga.

Set a giant to beat a giant, Lion-O.

Call on the ancient spirits
of the Thundercats.

The Stone Giants.

The Stone Giants.

Sword of Omens,
summon the Stone Giants to our aid.

Thunder, thunder, thunder.
Thundercats, h*!

[GRUNTING]

Okay, Cactus Brain.
Enough is enough.

You can't do that to us Thundercats.

[GRUNTING]

[ROARS]

[FOOTSTEPS THUDDING]

[HISSES]

[GROWLS]

[GROWLS]

LION-O:
The Stone Giant needs the Sword.

Got to try and mave.

[GRUNTING]

[GROWLS]

[HOWLS]

[SCREAMING]

[ROARS]

h*!

Thanks, Stone Giant.

[IN UNISON]
Thundercats, h*!

Whoa, Snarf. Steady as you go. Now.

Okay, you got it.

Okay, everybody, let's go.

The Snarf Wrecking Company
is on the case.

Be with you in a minute, Snarf.

But before we set off,
I just want to apologize to you guys.

There's nothing
to apologize about, Tygra.

The important thing
is that you're all in one piece.

More by luck than judgment, Lion-O.

And if I'd have listened to you
and Panthro in the first place...

...none of this would have happened.

Hey, Tygra, we understand.

Yep, sure. Of course, we do.

You were in a hurry
to see your friends.

Yes, I was in a hurry to see you...

...but I still shouldn't have let
my heart rule my head.

By going through that meteor storm
instead of around it...

...I ended up putting all of you at risk.

Enough said, Tygra.
The main thing is, you're here.

Hey, Lion-O, never mind all that stuff.

Tygra's come all the way
from Third Earth.

We've got a lot of important questions
to ask him.

Oh, uh, sure, Snarf. Go ahead.

Okay, Tygra, what I wanna know is,
did you bring any candy-fruit with you?

[LAUGHING]

LION-O:
Thundercats, h*!

[SIGNAL ROARS]
