[screeching]

[siren wailing]

[screaming]

[Slimer] Luigi, jump!

[screaming]

[Slimer] Ghostbusters!

Yeah!

♪ Who you gonna call? ♪

[laughter]

[people talking]

[wind howling]

[screaming]

[all screaming]

[Announcer]This was the scene
earlier today in Central Park,

when, without warning,
a freak tornado roared into the area.

Gosh, that's terrible.

I'll say.

Can you imagine what all that wind
would do to my hair?

[Announcer]Weather experts are baffled

as to why the whirlwind
has remained fixed to one spot

and shows no signs of weakening.

[drum beats]

This is crazy.

A tornado in the middle of Manhattan?

Yeah, what's next? Earthquakes?

- [rumbling]
- Oh!

Whoa!

[burping]

- [all] Slimer!
- Excuse me.

Spud, you'd better
cut the melon from your diet.

Oh...

I don't think that is a tornado
in Central Park.

I'll probably hate myself for asking,

but why, Egon?

Simple, really.

Because when you factor in
the variables of humidity

and barometric pressure,

then apply the influence
of the jet stream and the...

I do hate myself for asking.

Egon, you're amazing!

What a brain.

Even I didn't follow that one.

So, if it's not a tornado, what is it?

Gentlemen, I haven't got a clue,

but I intend to find out.

[alarm wailing]

[cars honking]

Ray! Help!

[screaming]

[both grunting]

Wow.

And they call Chicago the Windy City.

Still think this tornado's
not for real, Egon?

Perhaps, but I need a closer look.

[Winston] Careful, Egon. Not too close.

- [device beeping]
- [Egon] It's just as I thought.

There is no barometric
pressure differential.

[Egon] This is not a real tornado.

Oh, yeah? [grunts]

You could have fooled me.

I'm registering PKE leakage.

It's some sort of manifestation.

I need approximately 17.4 seconds

They're unlike anything

[grunts]

Guys, this is Winston.

[walkie-talkie crackling]

[whimpering]

They're gone!

[sniffling]

[all screaming]

[continue screaming]

[Peter] Incoming!

[all grunting]

Hey, check it out, guys.
We're back in the old neighborhood.

Somebody wanna tell me
how it got dark so fast?

Yeah, it's only 3:00.

Hey, there's something
wrong with my watch.

Hmm, fascinating.

There's something weird going on here.

Winston, this is Ray. Do you read?

- [crackling]

[door creaking]

Somebody's sleeping in my bed.

- [PKE meter beeping]

- [screaming]
- [Peter yells]

- [all gasping]

Color me speechless.

We've got three live ones.

[laughing]

They have g*ns.

[ghosts moaning]

Input-output chambers are reversed.

[burping]

- [Ray] Whoa!
- [Peter screaming]

[phone ringing]

Peoplebusters.

[all] Peoplebusters?

People? [screaming]

[all screaming]

- [Ray] Hey!
- [Egon] Fascinating.

Whoa!

Hey, this isn't half-bad
once you get the hang of it.

OK, Egon. Explain this one away.
And don't say it's "fascinating."

Well, we can definitely rule out
demonic possession.

[gasping]

[panting]

Hey, guys. Look.

"Welcome to Boo York.

The Big Pumpkin."

That confirms it.

We are in some sort
of flip-side world.

A ghost version of New York City.

You mean everybody's dead here but us?

So far.

Huh. Then that whirlwind

was a dimensional gate in.

Apparently.

So where's the nearest gate out?

This isn't my kind of town.

Yikes!

- Huh?
- Uh-oh.

[engine revving]

[siren wailing]

Better give it up now.

[Peoplebusters] 'Cause we ain't afraid
of no people.

disappeared into thin air?

Egon was picking up a big PKE reading
before they vanished.

But wherever they went,

it's beyond the range
of these walkie-talkies.

Oh, don't worry, Slimer.
We'll find 'em.

- [grunting]

[Ray] You'll never haunt

- Ray.
- Wait, Peter.

We can't do anything
against those weapons.

Throw him in the containment unit.

I'll throw him so hard, he'll bounce.

[ghosts cheering]

[clamoring]

[crowd] Peoplebusters!

Hey, we're the good guys.

We even have our own TV show.

Ooh!

[ghosts screaming]

Look out!

[shouting]

Move.

- Official Peoplebusters business.
- Out of the way.

Ready, Winston!

[Winston] This should boost
our transmitting power enough

to reach the guys wherever they are.

Hit it, Janine.

Ghostbusters Central to Ghostbusters.

Do you read? Over.

[woman] I'm sorry, but you've reached
a disconnected dimension.

Please try again.

Oh, where's Egon when you need him?

That's what we're trying to find out.

- [both panting]
- You see them?

No, but if they're anywhere around,
we can spot 'em from up here.

[engine revving]

[Peoplebusters laughing]

[both] Whoa!

[screaming]

Oh, my aching ectoplasm.

the higher they fall.

[both laughing]

[clamoring]

[Peter] Egon!

Ghostbusters,

can you hear me out there?

[whimpering]

Guys, come in!

Please!

- [screams]
- [Peter] Hello, Central, this is Peter.

Can you hear me?

[screaming]

Slimer, you've got the right
ghost frequency.

I do?

Yeah. Touch the transmitter again.

[Peter] Janine, Winston, can you hear me?

Oh, Peter.

We hear you loud and clear.

We hear you too, Peter.

Hello, Peter.

Ray, Egon. You guys all right?

[Ray] Yeah, so far.

But you've got to get us out of here.

[Egon] We seem to be in some
sort of containment unit.

It sounds horrible.

Actually, it resembles
a rather pleasant Earth environment.

I don't believe you, Egon.

Giving commercials for this place?

It's the pits.

[Peter] Everything here is the exact
opposite of the real world.

The opposite? Listen.

If everything there is reversed,

then that containment unit just might be
the doorway back to the real world.

Peter, you have to
let yourself get captured.

[both] What?

[Egon] It's definitely a plausible theory.

Egon, is that the same as a sure thing?

- [Egon] No.
- [sighs wearily]

I didn't think so.

[thunder crashing]

Yo, Peoplebusters.

[whistles] Here I am.

[grunts]

[screaming]

Ray, this is the exact form of energy
I found in that Central Park twister.

Then this could be our ticket home.

Precisely.

[screaming] Whoa!

[thud]

[Ray] You OK, Peter?

If you call being slimed
by three ghost g*ons

and thrown into a containment unit fine,
then, yes, I've had a great day.

Who are they?

[Egon] More of Boo York's
accidental visitors.

[Ray] They're leaving with us.

Sooner the better.

Where's the nearest exit?

Right there.

- [grunts]

[Ray] No go, Winston.

Our exit's locked tight.

In this simulated reality,
there is a chance they may work.

back to abnormal again.

Deathly quiet.

[alarm blaring]

Yow!

The containment's been breached.

Solid bodies are escaping.

[groans]

[growling]

[Ray] Uh-oh. We've got company.

Sorry we can't stick around,
but keep in touch.

[all screaming]

Are we back?

Sure looks like New York.

[Egon] But is it New York?

[cyclist screaming]

[jogger] Move it.

[chuckles] It's New York.

[people cheering]

[Janine] You made it!

Welcome back, good buddies.

[yelling] Ghostbusters!

Yup, we are definitely home.

[spitting]

[theme music playing]
