03x08 - Bugs Bunny in Virtual Mortality/Daffy Traffic Cop Stop: Lions/Miner Threat

[theme music playing]

[upbeat music playing]

Yeah-- Say, Doc.

Don't... you...
never... give... up?

I'll never give up.

Not until I know
what it feels like

to finally catch you.

To experience
the feeling of victory.

If only just once, to know

the feeling
of catching a rabbit.

[glass breaking]

Listen, Mac.
We could do this all day long.

Or... you could know

what it feels like
to catch a rabbit

right now.

I'm listening.

Dig this. We're living
in the future, kid.

What does the future have to do
with catching rabbits?

Let me explain.

Nowadays, you don't
even have to do anything

to know what it's like
to do it.

What's that supposed to mean?

Here, let me show you.

[clattering]

Ta-da!

[triumphant music playing]

What the heck is that?

It's a virtual reality helmet.

Virtual reality?

Yeah! Since you'll
never catch me

in physical reality,
you can use this

to catch me in virtual reality.

In VR, you can
do anything you want!

But I can't see anything.

Oh. I'll turn it on.

Ooh! It feels so high-tech.

Oh, it is. Let me activate
the simulation function.

[surreal
instrumental music playing]

[Elmer] Holy moly!
It looks so real!

Golly! I just can't believe
the detail.

Everything is so vivid.

This flower...

[sniffing] It smells
so flowery.

And this stick...

feels so sticky.

And if you think that's great

wait till you get
a load of this virtual b*mb.

Wow, it looks so dangerous.

But it's not.
Because it's "virtual."

You know, if this was reality

I would be
freaking out right now.

But because this is
a virtual b*mb

I have nothing to be afrai--

Oh, the simulated pain
is absolutely remarkable.

[giggling] Gosh!
That was such a good setup.

Too bad it's over so quick.

Boy, this VR is the best.

I finally caught a rabbit.

Now I can
virtually cook and eat you.

Oh, boy.

I bet you're gonna taste
virtually delicious.

Wait a second, Doc.

Why settle
for a tiny, little rabbit

like me when you can eat
an even bigger rabbit?

-Bigger rabbit?
-Yeah.

Like that massive,
virtual rabbit over there.

Huh?

[dramatic music playing]

Holy smokes!

It's the biggest rabbit
I've ever seen.

And it's mine.

All mine.

All right, rabbit.
You're coming with me.

[bear slurping]

-Hello!
-[bear] Huh?

[Elmer] I'm talking to you.

Oh, you think
you're tough, huh?

Well, guess what, buddy?

This is virtual reality

where I'm in control.

[Elmer cackling]

[growling]

Oh, aren't you
a big, dumb, bunny?

Enough fooling around.
Let's go!

[roars loudly]

Wow.

Rabbits in virtual reality
are scary, ferocious beasts.

But I have nothing
to worry about, because--

-[Elmer screaming]
-[bear roaring]

I think I'm ready to go back
to normal reality now.

Are you kiddin'?

You've been trying
to catch me for years.

Persistent guys like you
don't just give up.

And besides, you're just
getting your virtual feet wet.

Now tell me, and be honest.

Is there anything in real life

you've been unable to confront?

Something you've been
afraid of?

Well, my biggest fears
are heights and my mother.

Great! We'll confront them
in virtual reality

right now!

[cell phone ringing]

[Elmer's mother] Hello?
Who's there?

Oh... Uh-uh...

Remember, Doc. It's not real.

[Elmer's mother] Elmer!
Is that you?

Yeah, Mom. It is me.

-[Elmer's mother shouting]
-What?

No, you listen!
Rabbit hunting is a real job.

And another thing.

From now on, I'm picking out

my own clothes
when you take me shopping.

-[Elmer's mother shouting]
-Oh, yeah?

Fine! Cut me out of your will.

But guess what? I'm done
eating my vegetables.

It's ice cream sandwiches
from now on.

Got it?

Wow! Fantastic job, bud.

I'm proud of you.

You conquered both your fears!

But I didn't overcome
my fear of heights.

Could have fooled me, Doc.

You're really taking
to sky-diving.

So, what do you say, Doc?

Do you prefer hunting
in virtual reality

or physical reality?

Uh, neither.

I prefer metaphysical reality.

[mystical music playing]

Huh.
I'm more existential myself...

But different strokes
for different folks.

[theme music playing]

[humming]

[siren blaring]

[on loudspeaker]
Pull over!

[brakes screeching]

What seems to be
the problem, officer?

Do you have a permit
for transporting giraffes?

No, but I do have a permit
for transporting lions.

Uh... Lions?

[growling]

-[lions roaring]
-[Porky screaming]

Guess I won't
have to feed them now.

They're already pigging out!

[laughing maniacally]

[theme music playing]

[Oh My Darling, Clementine
instrumental music playing]

[groaning]

Oh, I can't do it!

I just can't do it!

There's just only so much coal

a cat can eat
before he goes mad!

Now there's gotta be something
better to eat around here.

Let's survey the scenery.

[gears clicking]

[Sylvester] Coal. Coal.

Delicious canary.

Coal.

Delicious canary?

[whistling]

I just love being
a canary in a coal mine.

I keep everyone safe.

I'm not exactly sure how...

but that's what they tell me.

Why settle for coal

when I've got a gold nugget
right over there?

[slurping]

[Tweety whistling]

Gotcha!

[Tweety whistles]

What do you think
you're doing with my canary?

Yeah, puddy! What do you think
you're doing with his canary?

Oh, I-I was just...
Uh, you know...

Stay out of my mine!

[minecart dings]

Oh, I'll stay out of sight

but not out of mine.

[cackles]

[Tweety whistling]

[whistling playing on record]

[record skipping and repeating]

Huh?

Where is Tweety?

Boys! Tweety's gone!

The mine's not safe.

Everybody out!

You've whistled your last tune

my fine-feathered feast.

[rumbling]

[miners clamoring]

It's okay, fellas.
I'm right here.

[groaning]

[rumbling]

[miners clamoring]

[miner 1] Glad to see you
back on the job.

Aw. It's so nice
to feel appreciated at work.

[miner 2] Lunchtime!

-[rumbling]
-[all cheering]

Bah! Stupid miners.

[ominous music playing]

[minecart dings]

[minecart squeaking]

[wheels squeaking]

[Sylvester giggles nervously]

[minecart dings]

[groaning]

[screaming]

[crashes]

Now where did that bird
buzz off to?

[Tweety whistling]

Sounds like that tasty treat

is right on the other side
of this wall.

Eureka! I've struck gold!

[rumbling]

The main support
has been compromised!

Go on, skip! Take Tweety
and get on out of here!

[miner straining]

Get out before it's too late!

[grunting and straining]

[moaning]

The bird!

I still got him!

I'm alive?

Thank you, son.

You just saved
the best canary in our mine.

[all cheering]

[man] He's a hero!

Wow. Thank you
for saving me, puddy.

What a plot twist.

And this whole time

I thought you were trying
to eat me.

[chuckling] I was.

[dings]

I guess puddy should have
mined his own business.
