the houseguests tried to decipher a secret phrase.

Surrounding you are a number of clues.

Congratulations, Dan, you're the first person

to decipher the secret phrase bury the hatchet,

so you have won a private helicopter

trip to a remote island beach for a day.

You can take one of your current housemates

or a jury member of your choice.

I've decided to take Michelle.

ANNOUNCER: And lie to his housemates.

I didn't want to create any animosity in the house,

so I didn't pick anyone.

I'm Julie Chen.

Welcome to "Big Brother."

It's day , and one week from tonight

the winner of "Big Brother " will be crowned,

but the game is far from over.

With Dan in power, the Renegades are running the house

and have their sights set on the final two,

but with the power of veto still up for grabs,

anything can happen.

Tonight, whoever wins the final veto not only

guarantees themselves safety, they could

also be the sole vote to evict.

We'll find out who wins the power of veto,

and if it will be used later on.

But first, hoping to keep their Renegade alliance a secret,

Dan made a risky move and put Memphis on the chopping block

once again.

Keesha, you're safe.

I've nominated you, Memphis, and you, Jerry.

I think at this point, it's tough to nominate anyone.

There's only so many options.

However, the one thing I do have to say

is the fact that this POV is going

to be one battle for the ages.

With that being said, this nomination ceremony

is adjourned.

Me and Memphis agreed to put him on the block

so that we can continue to cover the Renegade alliance.

By Dan nominating me, Dan gets Keesha's

and Jerry comes to me ready to go to w*r with Dan and Keesha.

If this all works out, then me and Dan control

everything in this house.

It's really nice not to be on the block,

because this makes me think that maybe Dan, you know,

would actually want me in this house over Memphis.

Dan betraying Memphis for the second time

allows me now to going to Memphis

and try to make an agreement to go to the final two

by offering him all the support I can possibly give him,

because I think Dan has a commitment to Keesha

to keep her in the game.

If they rid of me, and you stay, I'll guarantee you that you'll

The past couple of weeks, all these plans that we've

come up with and conjured up, have all kind of

fallen right into place.

It's kind of perfect.

It makes you feel confident.

Did Memphis know that you were putting him up?

I mean, I was very grateful.

I just didn't want to-- it was very awkward.

It was kind of like what one of those

where everybody kind of like looks at you.

It's so rare that you have that

in this house, where people actually

have each other's backs.

And then you've got Jerry running around here putting

something in everybody's ears.

I just learned in this game you only have so much control.

You know what I mean?

But, I hope you realize that this POV. you're

going to be able to control whether you win it or not.

I know.

I think this is going to be a matter of how bad you want it.

Whoever comes up with the win in the Veto competition

will decide who goes home this week.

The thing that's great for the Renegades this week

is the fact that Keesha or Jerry comes up with the veto win,

I can influence Keesha who to vote out,

and Memphis could influence Jerry who to vote out.

before the final vote.

After winning last week's luxury competition,

Dan chose to take Michelle on his island getaway.

The last we heard from Michelle, she said she

wanted to do Dan physical harm.

Will this trip change her mind or seal his fate?

My gosh, you get to leave this house today.

Is that like surreal or what?

Yeah, I mean, still it's like I'll believe it when I see it.

The houseguests think I'm going to a private island, which

I am.

However, what they don't know is that I'm

taking a jury member with me, and I selected Michelle.

ANNOUNCER: Dan, please go to the diary room.

This is a great opportunity for me

to sway Michelle as a jury member, who've

I've done tremendous wrong to.

All right, here we go.

This trip is either going to make me or break

me in the Big Brother game.

Being form the Midwest, I never thought I'd be able to get

to see anything like this.

I'm a little concerned about Michelle's reaction.

I'm sure Michelle appreciated the fact that I picked her

for this trip, because I'm sure she's

never been in a helicopter or a private beach,

much like myself.

Now whether or not she's going to be able to forgive

me for back dooring her.

That's where I've got to work some magic.

It's crazy.

The only thing Michelle knows coming out on this trip

is the fact one of the houseguests

won a luxury challenge, and they selected her.

She has no idea who selected her.

I think she'd expect any one of the houseguests

to select her except for me.

I know it's not Rhode Island, but

You know, when we came out to the lunch table,

I saw there was wine.

That's my truth serum.

I know I needed to pump Michelle with as much wine as possible.

The only thing they know is that I'm

going on a private beach by helicopter,

and they think I'm by myself.

And Jerry is the one, he's going there's something more to it.

I mean, it's not Hawaii, but, I mean,

it's still a hell of a trip.

It was really nice of Dan to have picked me.

He said that he picked me because he

felt bad about me getting my Hawaii trip taken away from me.

Whether I believe him or not, I don't now.

I figured maybe you're working on a vote right now.

Right now, I'm in paradise, so it's like you want

to believe anything you hear.

I was really devastated.

I was like, why did he just do that?

In this house, someone's gambled with someone else's

safety, and unfortunately, you better know

who's making a bet for you.

In this case, Ollie you lost the bet, Michelle go on the block.

Was it just your idea to back door me

or did everybody know about that?

Renny, Keesha, and Memphis all knew.

Those three knew.

I'm not trying to put the blame on them,

but that move benefited them tremendously.

You know what I mean?

I think the fact that Dan told me Memphis, Renny, and Keesha

knew that they were going to put me on the block,

puts a lot of things in perspective for me.

So they all knew about it?

Yeah.

That's the one thing I regret, because we were--

I felt we were close in the house.

And then, you know, we always got along, and like it

was just one of those things.

It's like, God, you know?

I know I have a long way to go to even

be-- for you to even be my friend,

but I'm glad that we were able to enjoy this.

Do you think I have any chance of winning?

I don't know.

I really don't, honestly

If it comes done-- well, if it was me and Memphis,

could you sway anyone, or is everyone pretty much set?

I think so, yeah.

Out of everybody in the house, who

do you think could sway people?

Me and Dan did have a really good relationship in the house.

We got along pretty well, and it was really nice of Dan

to have picked me.

It was probably the best decision that he made.

I feel good about this trip with Michelle.

I think I've won her over a little bit.

The more fun I have with Michelle with kayaking,

swimming, the more time she's thinking about how great

of a guy I am, and how much she wants to vote for me

for the half million dollars.

As head of household, only Dan is completely safe.

With four houseguests left, the veto

winner will hold all the power.

They could cast the single vote that sends someone

to the jury house tonight.

Who will win the power of veto?

who you want to send home.

That's a lot of power to deal with.

That's a huge upper hand.

It all comes down to this.

Welcome to Stairway to Veto.

Each of us has a staircase with steps.

There are two clues on each step.

You must correctly identify the evicted houseguests that

matches up with the two clues, place

the name plate of that houseguest on the step,

and hit your buzzer.

If you're correct, the name will light up,

and you may move up to the next step and the next set of clues.

Once all names are correctly placed on each step,

race up your steps and be the first to hit

your button at the top.

Each of us are now only steps away

from winning the final and most important Veto competition yet.

This veto competition is the most important competition ever

played in "Big Brother ."

I'm absolutely going to fight to win.

I'm a competitor, and I'll give it my all.

This veto, it's huge.

There's no one else to nominee.

I know I'm going up if I don't win this.

It's a lot of pressure.

At this point, I have no vested interest in winning

this veto competition.

The only evicted houseguest to eat both crickets and pig ears

was Michelle, so I knew that right away.

This week, I've got to get some heat off me.

If Memphis wins the veto, he will

be the sole determining factor of kicking

someone out this week.

He, for once in this game, will get blood on his hands,

and people might forget about me.

I had no idea who was on the Chardo-Nay-Nay team,

so that didn't help me out.

Then I finally realized, eight to zero, Angie.

I think that I have a good chance at this game

because I'm pretty good at clues and knowing

a lot about the houseguests.

Damn.

When I read the th Flower to Leave the Garden of Veto,

I had no idea what they were talking about,

and I just took a stab.

[buzzer]

You know, I'm flying through this competition,

but I can't see the other houseguests.

I don't know if I'm doing better than I should be at this point.

Oh my God.

[buzzer]

Damn.

I got to the top of the pyramid.

Memphis was the only person that I was able to see,

and I could see he was at least two steps away

from where I was in the puzzle.

So I knew I had to slow down and start taking my time.

I put Angie up there twice.

I put Steven up there twice, and I put Ollie up there twice.

So that's six trips on one step, with three of the same names.

I mean, I couldn't throw it any better without looking shady.

I'm keeping a close eye on Memphis.

I want him to win.

Come on, Memphis.

JULIE: Memphis was at one point your ally and your friend,

and he just evicted you.

I was shocked.

I figured it out last night on my own.

JULIE: How did you figure it out?

Jerry was acting too calm in the house.

You know, when Jerry is flustered, he usually shows it.

He's not good at hiding his emotions,

and Jerry was very calm, so I knew that Jerry

was told that he was safe.

JULIE: And then you confronted them.

I confronted them.

Memphis turned beet red, and walked out of the room.

Didn't have anything to say to me.

He kept telling me the whole time that I was safe.

I'm very hurt because I feel like I've saved him many times.

I mean, one time I completely turned votes around

to keep him in the house.

This is how he repays me.

JULIE: So why do you think he did this to you?

I think that Memphis was afraid that Dan was

going to take me to the end.

JULIE: So he had to get rid of you.

He didn't want to chance it.

JULIE: Well, in the event that you were evicted tonight,

your housemates did tape some goodbye messages.
