- Announcer: previously on "big brother":

Kyland had a final three deal with x and big d.

- One thing I'm not really trying to do

Is have either of your names in my mouth.

- I agree with that.

- Announcer: but with xavier gaining power...

- Congratulations, xavier,

You are the new head of household.

- Announcer: ... He set his sights on taking ky out.

- I have nominated you, azah, and you, kyland.

Even though I think I can beat kyland

If I sit next to him in the final two,

If you get a chance to take a big threat out,

You need to take that shot.

- Announcer: at the final veto competition,

Xavier added another huge win to his resume.

- Winning this means I have full control to try to put

Myself in the best position to win $,.

Better buckle up, america.

- Announcer: and his plan was to give

Big d the sole vote to evict.

- Getting big d to vote out kyland would be epic.

But will big d follow through wih the plan?

That's the big question.

- Announcer: although ky thought he was headed

For a batman vs superman finale with xavier...

- I have decided not to use the power of veto.

- Announcer: ... He instead was taken out by a joker.

- I cast my vote to evict kyland.

- Announcer: upset by the blindside,

Kyland confronted x.

- No heads-up or anything from this guy, but...

- It's how the game goes, ky.

- Of course. If your nephew has nobody to look up to--

- Keep talking about my nephew, ky.

- If your nephew has nobody to look up to--

- He'’s going to figure out how--

- Julie: kyland. I need you to leave right now.

- Announcer: and ky went bye-bye.

Now, with the final three set...

Azah, big d,

And xavier will look back at the historic season.

Witness the laughs...

- [Laughing] - introducing lucious.

- Announcer: ... Emotion.

- Announcer: and drama you didn't see.

- Announcer: plus the houseguests are surprised

With messages from home,

Giving them the final push to the end game.

All this right now on "big brother"!

And sending kyland out.

I've been wanting to send him out since week six, okay?

Boom!

I'm in final three!

I'm in final three!

I'm in final three!

Oh, my gosh!

I have been thinking about this moment for a long time.

Tacoma park into the big brother house to this spot.

Who would have thought.

The fact that I'm going to be sitting

At finale night is amazing.

I'm so close!

I can feel it. I can see it.

And I want it.

It was a very hard decision to evict kyland.

But it's a game move.

And I'm going to make sure the job gets done.

Cheers, kyland!

Why not?

Cheers to my showmance.

You did really good this season.

You thought you could run all over me.

But I ran you out of the house.

- It feels amazing to be top three.

This has been an incredibly long journey.

It's been mentally, emotionally physically exhausting.

But the finish line is right there,

And to be this close is kind of surreal.

Cheers.

- I couldn't get rid of my best friend over a man.

- I was surprised kyland would go so low.

- If your nephew has nobody to look up to--

- Keep talking about my nephew, ky.

-Julie's waiting on you.

- Julie: kyland. Kyland.

- I'm not going to go there with him.

That's not the man that I am.

I came here to play a game and I'm not done playing.

- X did amazing because you know if that was me

It would have been on and poppin'’.

I would have been like-- I risk it all.

There is no way I'm going to let a grown man step to me

Who is not my father and comment on my family.

- X did really well. - X did great.

- The way kyland left this house was disgusting.

It just shows me once again

Why my decision was the correct decision.

Look how he acted.

Like a damn fool.

- I told both of you,

He felt like we had a final two known as "the gentlemen."

But I was like, that don'’t mean [bleep] to me. You got to go.

- Everyone was making deals so, it does not matter.

We've noticed randomly there would be a soapy taste.

- Hey, can we please get some more dish soap.

- We literally have ants all over the couch.

- I was wondering if we could get some ant spray.

- And all over the front walls.

- Apparently there were some ants coming out

Of my asics last night. And big d threw them away.

- We're having a little bit of an ant problem.

- Can I request some combination of a bucket hat,

Sweatshirt and sweat pants?

- I didn't get a hoodie. The next three people after

All got hoodies and none of them asked for a hoodie

And I was like, these are my hoodies.

- A hoodie. I would love a hoodie.

- Acne pimple patches. My favorite.

- Are we able to get straws so we can make fake c*ck?

- Um, maybe that's it for now.

- Thank you so much! Have a great day!

- I just can't believe I'm here and we're here.

- Gosh, memories of the cookout.

Tiffany, hannah,

Kyland.

- The cookout was something bigger.

It was a connection of shared experiences

That we all had outside.

And now we're here, and even if it wasn't us,

If one of us made it, we all did.

- Amen.

- We had a goal and we accomplished it.

We not only represent the cookout,

But we represent the whole black community.

We made history this season.

And it's pretty incredible.

- Yes.

- I come from a predominantly white community,

So I went to a predominantly white school.

And people have called me uncivillized

Because of the country my mom comes from,

South africa. People have asked me

How we have running water in our home.

- Napierville, illinois, a suburb of chicago.

- Being here, I'm very mindful of who I represent,

And with being black, there's definitely

A sense of solidarity and camaraderie there.

And that's one of the things I cherish most about

My culture and my identity.

- I used to pull my son out of class because he has gone

To predominantly white schools.

He feels left out. Like, he stands out when he just

Wants to blend in sometimes.

- I've been in that situation, where, you know,

I've been the only black one in history class

When we're going over sl*very.

- When I switched schools, I went to the nicer,

Whiter school. The first few months I got

Jumped by the n*zi kids.

But I remember it was just the black kids helping me

With the problems I was having with

Some white kids at that school.

- Can I ask a question? Did you have to deal

With two words?

- Did they call you a hispanic slur?

- The world only identifies me as black.

In america. So I don't experience

Specifically any sort of latino-related racism.

- Except for the otherizing within the black community.

Growing up it was like, "kyland acts white." It's like,

Because I read? And I'm learning.

I'm learning the history.

- People saying, "you're the whitest black guy I knew."

But you're saying that because what?

Because I'm articulate? Because I'm well spoken?

Because I'm educated? No. You are saying

To be black is to be uneducated.

- It is so insulting when someone is like,

"You're so articulate."

- I have had someone tell me, "you're well spoken,

Articulate, and pretty for a black girl."

- Yes.

- Or people will tell me I'm too white to be black

Too black to be indian. Too indian to be-- yeah.

- It's a mess, it's a mess.

- I was telling people about going to pepperdine,

And I had people asking, "what sport do you play?"

- Oh, yeah, before we even got to the game.

- I'm a golfer.

- I'm like, I actually play cricket.

- Look how cool the diversity is at this table.

- Yeah, absolutely.

- Not even in terms of being mixed.

But just in terms of not looking at black as a monolith.

- I've always said that a lot of times I feel like society

Has cast black as one thing, and society doesn't really

Realize that there are many different shades of black.

- I think we're better now, though, than we were,

Probably when we were all growing up.

I think that things are so much more open

To understanding things. We still have a long way to go,

But I think we're going in the right path.

- This is true. - And, you know,

Things that used to just be this.

We're getting more diversified, I think, by the year.

If we, you know, stick together,

Like we have been doing throughout years,

Things can only get better from here.

Because you can't-- you can't break a black community.

You can't.

- Couldn't break this one.

- There'’s an envelope. - Oh, yay!

- It says "final three." Let's see what's inside.

What'’s this?

"Congratulations on making it to final three."

- Yay!

- "“Before you battle it out to the end,

Big brother wanted to provide you with some extra motivation.

Take a look at the monitor."

- Oh, my god, I can't. Oh, my god, I can't.

- No way.

- Hi, derek, it's me, your mom.

I love you. I miss you.

I am so proud of you.

I just want you to know that father god

In heaven got your back.

[Crying]

And I want you to do one thing for me--

Stop all that cussing.

Everyone love you, miss you. Take care.

- I love you, big d!

- Oh!

- Xavier, congratulations on making it this far.

You're doing so awesome.

- Hey, big, bro. I love and miss you.

Just so you know I did move out of the house near campus,

And I'm sure I'll have a bunch of stories to

Tell you when you get back.

- We love you. We're proud of you.

And keep doing what you're doing.

All right. We miss you.

- Hi, azah. How are you, my baby?

I miss you so much.

And I love you so much.

And you know, you're the bestest of my friends.

And you know that you have what it takes to win this.

- I want you to know one thing, baby.

You have done what it takes in there

To come out and have heaven proud of you.

And have mankind proud of you.

Because you have maintained the integrity

Of the name of the lord.

God bless you.

- I love you, daddy, mommy.

- Oh!

Just to go this long and not hear from her means the world.

Oh! Thank you.

Oh, god.

- It was so incredible being able to see our families.

But in all honesty,

We also did have an incredible summer as well.

- Let's toast to this summer.

Guys, in just a few days,

One of us will be crowned the winner

Of big brother, season .

And be walking away with $,.

- And somebody will be walking away

In second place with $,.

- And someone walking away in third with...

Nothing.

- So, let the best houseguests win.

- Cheers. - Good luck, you guys.

- Good luck.

- Seeing my mom, it meant everything.

It made me realize why I'm here

And who I'm fighting for. I want to make my mom proud.

I definitely did not come this far to win third place.

I definitely deserve to be in those final two chairs

Going for that grand prize of k.

- Just seeing that message from my mom and dad

Does light a fire in me. I want it so bad.

I am so close, I can taste it.

- Seeing my pops, it was everything that I need

To finish this thing out.

To come this far and lose, I feel like would be

Worse than going home. At this point,

There's no other option.

I've come too far to be stopped now.

- Announcer: who will win part one

Of the final three-part head of household competition?
