which didn't go through, so now I need to pivot.

As a "Big Brother" super fan, I know that you don't want to

come across as playing too hard too fast.

That can put a big target on your back

and really blow up in your face.

So I want to make sure that I'm doing more listening

than I am talking, and I think that's the best strategy

here at this initial stage of the game when people are still

seeming a little hesitant to game talk.

So, Daniel, I don't want to bombard you with game right away

Back then, they didn't have the things now that they can

-He saved a lot of lives, so, like, you have to think

about the positive 'cause, like, you know,

but at the same time, it sucks because it's like,

damn, I didn't get -- you know what I mean?

when it's going to be that last day for anyone.

-I lost my father,

and I know that I wouldn't be here without him,

'cause not only did we used to watch the game together,

but he always pushed me to go for this opportunity.

And being in the Big Brother house

means the absolute world to me.

I think the hardest thing...

is that, like, I haven't even had kids yet.

I want my kids to experience that,

but it's gonna suck, you know?

Hearing Jasmine's story absolutely resonates with me,

because I lost someone so close to my heart.

I can only imagine what it's like, like, losing your father.

Jasmine being able to share her story with me --

that's just, like, a stepping stone

to knowing, like, her trust in me

and the loyalty that's there.

I respect her so much.

You're here for a reason.

And the best thing is, they're our guardian angels.

I really want to get a sense of where his head is at.

But, also, I want him to look at me

as someone valuable and an asset to his game.

So I need to come up with a pitch

that is going to be an attractive offer to him.

I want to play the game with people

who also want to play the game.

And, like, winning the first HoH,

I think that shows, like, you are here to play.

How the game goes, since you can't compete next week,

you know, setting yourself up for the best spot next week,

you know, keeping people here

that aren't gonna come after you or put you up.

So, obviously, if you chose not to nominate me,

I'd be very, very grateful,

and I can, you know, % promise

if I were to win next week, I wouldn't put you up.

You know, that would even extend, like,

whenever I did win HoH,

'cause I would hope that I win an HoH.

-Yeah. -Like, I would be willing

to, you know, remember.

'Cause, you know, like, I'm not gonna lie to you.

Like, I'm a big fan of the game.

Like, it means a lot for me to be here.

And so, like, to be the first one to go home

would just be, like, devastating.

-Michael's pitch is the general

"Big Brother" boilerplate bullcrap,

and I just don't care.

In "Big Brother," when you're a superfan,

you know everything about this show,

including when you walk into this house,

if you're the first person to enter,

you're not winning this game.

I know how that goes, and guess who else did?

Michael. We were out there with Julie.

We walk in the house. He holds the door open for us.

I knew immediately this guy is a superfan.

I got him. I got him all figured out.

Now, it may seem like a great idea

to team up with another superfan,

but I just don't trust the guy.

Just that little extra safety is, like, nice to hear.

-Awesome. Yeah. -I feel good that you came up here.

-I'm feeling like he is being receptive to my ideas,

so I'm feeling pretty good at the moment

and feeling like I might escape the block this week.

-[ Speaks indistinctly ] -[ Chuckles ]

-My family is, like, pretty religious.

So, I grew up in Utah, so, like, Utah Mormons, LDS.

-Oh, yeah.

-Growing up in Utah, I was very sheltered.

There wasn't a lot of diversity.

And coming into the Big Brother house,

there's HouseGuests from all different backgrounds.

I'm able to learn so much about other cultures.

-What about you, Joseph? Any religion or anything?

-My family is predominantly Muslim,

other than my stepmom and then her family, which are Christian.

Like, I get, you know, the best of both,

and I respect both religions.

And, you know, I learn a lot, and I continue to do so.

And what's funny is my mom is a huge fan of the show.

[ Laughs ] So -- -Oh. Let's go.

-So she loves it, and she's part of the reason I'm here,

'cause, like, it's a way she can see and interact with me

a lot more than we ever have. -Oh, that's so awesome.

-Growing up in an Arab household,

it's definitely shaped who I am today.

A lot of the tradition and culture has influenced me.

A big thing for Arabs is hospitality

and getting to know one another.

I feel like I'm getting along well,

at least I hope, with everybody.

-This was part of the reason why I wanted to come on the show

was just to, like, you know, represent

and things of that nature.

But I think in all of "Big Brother,"

there's been me and one other Arab person

to come on the show.

-Oh, really? -Yeah.

-So I was like, you know, and it's gonna stay that way

if, like, every time they hand out an opportunity like this,

families aren't supportive, and, like, you can't.

So I kind of told them, I was like,

"I'm gonna go regardless.

I hope you guys support me."

Visibility and representation I think is super important,

and I really don't think it's something

I got enough of or viewed enough.

I can't represent the entire Arab culture, but I can be here,

I can be myself, I can be authentic.

And I'm so happy to be here,

contributing to that visibility and representation

in a way Joseph Abdin can.

There's just a lot to learn, I think, from both perspectives.

And that's why I wanted to come here.

-I love that.

I do believe some people are game,

-I just have a feeling that sometimes I just don't fit.

-I'm feeling kind of nervous because of the nominations,

only because I haven't talked game with Daniel.

I just kind of want to lay low

and continue to make friends, build relationships.

-I don't feel like y'all have anything to worry about.

I think it's gonna be girls.

I just don't want to be the first one to go home,

or the second. [ Laughs ]

-That ain't gonna happen.

-People that are married.

-We automatically got to stick together.

-Married people?

-Yeah.

-Personally, I don't think that

the married people sticking together

would be best for my game at this moment.

If I was Terrance,

then I would be, like, talking to people

so that way, they understand that hey,

I may be older, but I can hang with the cool kids, too.

-It's like it's happening so fast, though.

Like, we just got here.

Oh, man!

Yeah. I don't know.

-Life's like a roller coaster. [ Laughs ]

This is, like, a lot of pressure.

-Yeah. It's obviously exciting to just be playing the game.

But it's definitely, like, a lot of pressure.

And not knowing what's happening with this backstage stuff

is very, like, confusing. -Mm-hmm.

If I were Daniel, I'd want someone to just go up there

and just be real with me.

I can't be nominated,

but I still get to play my social game,

so I'm the best person for him to talk to,

because I don't want anything from him,

because he can't give me anything at this point.

Taylor -- so, she's a question mark.

-She's one of the people I didn't connect with immediately.

Like, with you, I did. -Yeah.

-And that's just gonna happen in this house.

-And that's just gonna happen.

Yeah, that's it. -Yeah.

-I just don't know if I can trust her.

So, that's the only person I've been, like --

I've seen, like, the slip.

Taylor is just not part of the Girls' Girls alliance,

and she's spending so much time around the guys.

I wouldn't personally go for Taylor,

because if she somehow stays in the house,

she's gonna come burn me like an evil witch.

So of course I want to persuade him to help my game.

Like, all the girls have had, you know, the powwows.

Like, "How are you guys feeling?"

And we're like, "Is Taylor a Girls' Girl?

Like, that's a question. -Yeah, yeah.

-But she, like, loves hanging with the guys,

which is super cool.

But, also, like, this isn't a game,

like, to impress the guys.

It's a game to make, like, friends

and, like, be good with the girls, be homeys.

So that was my skepticism on her.

So it's all up you to decipher, figure it out.

Like, you know, and I, like --

I couldn't even imagine being in your position, so --

-My goal as HoH is to make sure that I put two people up

who aren't necessarily aligned with other people.

That way, I don't have more people coming after me.

We're not sure where Taylor stands,

so the thought of her going on the block

is definitely an option.

So all of this can blow up in my face,

and I'll just have to adapt.

I definitely didn't like seeing myself at that moment.

There's no way DJ Showtime is going home.

-So, I think Daniel's explanation for putting me up

is bull...quite frankly.

I did try to have conversations with him.

I did approach him.

And if he thinks I'm gonna buy his excuse,

then he's an idiot.

As a superfan, I want to win that veto,

shove it in Daniel's face,

and be like, "Put up someone else."

-Even though Daniel hasn't nominated Taylor,

seeing two guys on the block is wonderful for Paloma's game,

The only thing I'm worried about is this whole backstage fiasco.

I don't know what this means for my game,

but all I know is that
