for the information.

- I appreciate it.
- Lieutenant, I need an, a.P.B.

On a darrel ekins,
a.K.A. Big dog.

I've been looking
for this guy all day...

Negative on the
bulletin, detective.

Big dog is dead.

What?

I just came from
his girlfriend's house

six hours ago.
Where'd they find him?

He was dumped on the
docks, next to a mustang.

M.e. Said he was
shot twice in the chest.

We have a witness who
says she saw big dog

outside of Sandy's
right before the m*rder.

Maybe Danny-up
thought he was gonna roll?

Yeah. That's what
my thoughts were, too.

That's why I really
pushed the m.E.

Torres, the b*ll*ts came from
a Smith and Wesson, 5926.

Did you talk to j.C.?

No.

Because officer
Taylor let him slip away.

There is no way, lieutenant.

J.c. Didn't even know
big dog was a suspect.

Torres, it doesn't take
a genius to figure out

that he could be involved here.

What're you saying?
That j.C. Is a k*ller?

Look, I certainly
hope he isn't involved.

But right now, we
have to treat him

like any other person connected
to a homicide who had means,

motive and opportunity.

Is ballistics sure about this?

They're sure of the make.

Any more than that, they'd
have to check Williams' weapon.

Look. I'm not any happier
about this than you are.

But you know your partner.

I think you have the best chance

of bringing him in.

So you want me to put
out a bulletin for j.C.?

And Daniel cort. A.S.A.P.

And torres?

You better hope to
hell they don't find

each other first.

J.c.: Detective
Williams from the 4th.

Here for a printout.

Got it.

J.c.: Thank you.

Damn thing never stops.

Recciarelli: Torres,
we got a sighting.

Williams just walked
out of central records.

Central records
for the department?

Clerk gave him a list.

Addresses for
Daniel and Ridley cort.

Damn.

Oh!

If it isn't superfly.

Don't you even try it.

What? You came
here to arrest me?

I don't hear anybody's
rights being read.

You k*lled my
woman, you b*stard!

Go on and sh**t me then!

sh**t me like you
shot my brother.

- He shot first.
- Like this?

[Groans]

[g*nshots]

Freeze right there!

[Distant siren wailing]

Hear that, j.C.?

They're coming for you!

What the hell you talkin' about?

A Smith and Wesson just
like you got k*lled big dog.

Now you're over here.

All I gotta do is tell the
judge "it was self-defense."

Well, go on and sh**t.

'Cause your punk a*s
ain't walking out of here.

Wanna bet?

[g*nshots]

All right.

Squads are rolling.

Ricciarelli: Every address?

Captain's sending back-up
from two other precincts.

Yeah, Cooper.

Oh, my god, thank you.

Shots fired, Danny
cort's address.

No.

[Upbeat music playing]

- [Grunts]
- Woman: Oh!

Come here.

[g*nshots]

Woman: [Screaming]

[Distant siren wailing]

[Indistinct chatter]

Officer: House is empty.
Business down the streets

phoned in the shots.

Any sign of detective Williams?

There's a sedan parked
around the corner.

Registered to the department.

Officer: Detective! Dispatch
says, they got a disturbance

one block east. Two black
males exchanging fire.

All right. I want
back-up behind me.

Now!

[Panting]

[Siren wailing]

Danny-up: [Groans]

[g*nshots]

Hold it right there.

You ain't got nowhere to run,

so put your hands up real slow.

Hands up, g*n down.

Come on! Put the g*n down.

Now!

[g*nsh*t]

Have you seen two
guys run by here?

[Groaning]

Danny-up: You
k*lled my business.

You k*lled my brother.

Super cop.

You just could not leave
well enough alone, could you?

Now look at you,
you look pitiful.

You're a smart brother, man.

Whatever turned you
into such a monster?

Well, I could
blame it on society.

But that's such a cop-out.

Plus, it doesn't explain
why I'm about to m*rder

your punk a*s right
here in cold blood.

[Grunts]

- Get down!
- Don't sh**t.

- Don't sh**t.
- Get down!

Danny-up: Don't sh**t!

You m*rder*d my woman,
you m*rder*d my child.

You tried to m*rder me.

There's nothing to stop
me from murdering you.

Well, do it. You know I'd do it!

No. See, I will
never be like you.

Get on the ground.
Get on the ground!

[Distant dog barking]

J.c.: Put your hands
out! Down! Down!

Now!

Put your hands out! Now!

- No.
- [g*nsh*t]

[Groans]

Easy. Easy. Easy,

ed, oh.

It's gonna be fine.

[Panting]

Officer down!

Don't you go out on me, man.

Officer down!

It's all right, man. Don't
you go out on me, man.

Everything's gonna be fine.

You hear me? Hold on, j.C.

Somebody call an ambulance!
