I think Alton's acting
like a red-blooded human being,

and he's really hurt by it.

My mom has raised me
to think that all women are queens

that I see them as a princess.

I don't want
to have an emotional involvement

with anything that I do with a girl
because it would be overly emotional.

With women I seem to allow myself

The second Alton walked out

I just really need Gabe
to love me and support me

and not put me in a position
that is stressful to me

because I'm already
feeling stressed enough.

You know, like, we're 3,000 miles
away from each other,

and like, I don't really feel
that the attitude is necessary.

[siren wailing]

have a crush on each other.

but I think that she has feelings
for Alton.

I don't trust myself around Irulan.

She impairs my judgment.
She's like alcohol.

are falling for each other.

forcing herself to throw up

and then starving herself and then binging
at two o' clock in the morning.

It kind of pisses me off

just because I had an eating disorder
for two years.

And it's such a bad place to be in.

I'm not saying
that she has an eating disorder,

but she has issues with food,
and that's clear to me.

It makes me feel really uncomfortable.

I had a friend
that passed away because of it.

I'm not sure
if Trishelle has an eating disorder,

so until I see her physically

throwing up in a toilet
or starving herself,

then I cannot say anything.

[toilet flushing]

[Arissa]

From what I see,
I think she has an eating disorder.

Trishelle has told me that
she has been bulimic before.

I have heard her throw up
after she has eaten.

I'm not gonna talk about it
with any of the guys.

If Trishelle is talking about it,

we can talk about it.
But from what I see, that's how I see it,

and that's what I'm gonna say.
And so, I don't want you

and everyone to think,

I just, personally,
do not want to deal with it.

I mean, of course I care
that Trishelle is puking herself

but there's nothing
that I can do about it.

She knows what she's doing.
She knows it's wrong.

She's gonna do it either way,
and I can't do anything about it.

You sleepin'? It's Friday night.

I'm not gonna be able to pick you up
from the airport on Tuesday…

I'm so excited for Gabe to come.
Like, I miss him so much.

I really, really need my baby.

Whatever it turns out to be,

we'll figure it out.

I'm in a situation where

the people around me are extremely free
and physical and sexual,

and I'm a little worried
that Gabe is gonna be overwhelmed

by all of the circumstances.

[Alton] Are you feeling a little better

I'm out here with six roommates,
but I'm alone.

I just wish that I had somebody
that I could share my journey with.

You know, why did I leave my good life
that I was really feeling positive about

to be here and feel lonely?
You know, two days into [bleep],

-we had some major bonding.

I think that there's kind
of been this underlying attraction

between Alton and I from the beginning.

-I've gotten a very different impression…

…of the kind of guy
that you are in terms of females

than you gave to me in the beginning.

And that has changed
my perception and the fact that…

I mean, I won't lie. In the beginning,
I was very attracted to you

and I was thinking,
"Hmm, like, what did they do to me?"

-[Alton] I didn't expect her

to say that, honestly, I didn't even think
that she thought I was attractive.

Like, on the streets,

probably wouldn't have a chance
with Irulan, you know?

She's, like, such a classy,
like, beautiful girl.

I had a huge crush on you.

You know what I mean? Like, did.

[Irulan] Well, you could've been honest
with me about that.

I know I could've, but I didn't know you.
I didn't know how you'd take it.

I really feel very, very close to Alton.

There's a connection there
that is based on friendship

and based on, you know,
his mind and my mind and the way

that we relate to each other aside
from anything physical.

and Alton's relationship

is about right now.
I don't know why or how it started.

But this is how my life has always been.

I've always been really happy
with somebody, had a great guy,

and then, like, some other great guy
comes along, and I'm just like…

an open relationship

and I have license to get down,
but I don't have license

-to get emotionally attached.

[Irulan] But when you're in a relationship
that is so emotionally involved

and so much time and energy is invested,
it's just, like…

I'm afraid to throw that away on a whim.

Gabe's coming Tuesday
and staying for how long?

[Irulan] Seven days.

Gabe's coming at the perfect time for me,
because I've been feeling frustrated,

and different things have been going on.

I don't think it's a situation
where you can't stay in there

for seven straight days.
Obviously, we'll need some time, but…

-[Trishelle] A cutie getting some booty.
-I mean, I will get booty,

but I'm not gonna be getting booty
all night long.

[Arissa] Certain behaviors
make me suspicious.

Trishelle eating a little
when we go out to lunch.

Trishelle comparing
what I ate with what she ate today.

Trishelle gets up and goes
to the bathroom after she eats.

That's putting an alarm bell
in my head.

[Irulan] I have a weird
relationship with Trishelle.

I feel like I want to be there
for her and help her out.

But at the same time, I'm going
through my own [bleep], so like,

I can't really put myself out there.

A couple minutes after she's done eating,
she gets up, and she's like,

she's going to-- She's like,
"I'm going to the bathroom."

nobody else notices,
but I watch her walk into the bathroom.

Like, I already told you
that I had an eating disorder.

-Yeah.
-And like,

you know,
somebody's like, "What's up?"

And I'm like,
"I just wish Trishelle wasn't going

to the bathroom right now,
right after she finished eating."

So Arissa gets up,
she follows her in there,

and I'm under the impression
that she caught her

throwing up or, you know, whatever.

-She comes back--
-[Alton] She did that?

Yeah, she comes back.
She-- I mean, she's been doing it.

She either doesn't eat…
she either doesn't eat

or she eats something,
and then I can hear her

-yakking in the toilet, and then--
-[Frank] What?

Who?

-[Alton] Trishelle.
-[Irulan] Trishelle.

-And--
-Oh, my God.

[Irulan] I mean,
she has an eating disorder.

I don't think Trishelle
has an eating disorder.

I have never noticed her throwing up,

and I have never noticed her speaking
about her weight

more than anyone else in the house.

[Irulan] It makes me feel really weird
to be around it.

And I know, it's not like
I'm the type of person

who doesn't want to support her
or doesn't want to be there for her.

But I know the deal.
When you have an eating disorder,

there's nothing that I can say,
there's nothing that you can say,

there's nothing that any of us can do
or say that's gonna change things for her.

If that's what she wants to do,
that's what she's gonna do.

She doesn't wanna talk about it.

Like, it's a very shameful,
private thing to go through.

[Arissa] I love Trishelle,
and I worry about her.

I think she's stronger
than any one of us think.

But I still feel like
I have to protect her.

I don't do that all the time, I swear.

-I mean, I've been eating

a lot since I've been here.

Do you have issues with food?

I don't know if you know
that this will destroy

and eat away at your esophagus.

I never did that until,
like, um, like last year at college.

Do you think that you eat too much?

[Trishelle] All my life,
I've been able to eat whatever I want.

And of course, you know,
it's catching up with me

now that I'm 22 years old.

But, no, I don't think
I have a problem at all.

Like, I don't think
I have an eating disorder

or anything like that.
Like, I'm just scared to get fat.

You're not gonna get fat, okay?

What will happen, though,
if you don't take care of yourself

is that your hair will fall out.
And if you can-- If you throw up,

-it'll ruin your teeth.

[Arissa] And your teeth will get brown
'cause they're gonna be stained from--

I don't do that. I don't do that.

I don't--
I wouldn't consider myself bulimic,

like, just now, I swear to God,
I did not throw up, I swear.

I know don't have an eating disorder.

I just have really bad stomach problems.

I've been having them
since I'm about 16 years old.

No, like, don't worry.

I don't have a problem.
But I appreciate you being concerned.

Just makes me so much more confused.

for three-and-a-half years.

and before her, I had a girlfriend
for four years, you know what I mean?

I really didn't go through that phase--

I think more than anything,
I want, like, true love.

But the thing is, I can't trust anybody.

[Frank] True love is something like,
I honestly think I'll just find.

Like, in the back of my head,
I'm not worried about that whatsoever.

I mean, it's something I know I won't find
or I feel I won't find.

I believe that my heart will lead me.

But at the same time,
if my heart's scared to be broken,

then the only place it's gonna
lead me is somewhere by myself,

and I don't like being alone.
I don't want to be alone.

So it's kind of like a damned if I do,
damned if I don't thing.
