Post by bunniefuu »

- Tiny heist!

A world of big crimes, and small people.

- Who are you talking to?

- The audience at home.

- Oh my god, they're filming, hi.

- We come down to number
four Thimble Lane,

where we see a very sweet little boy.

I know there's real
people out here somewhere.

- If I need a compliment I'll
look in the mirror, okay?

- Just let me have my moment.

We don't get a lot of moments around here.

- Hey, I always say a stranger's just a friend

you haven't met yet.

- I'm just saying it
self-destructs if they get caught.

- Think about something from your past.

This is what we do in acting.

- There is unrest in the house.

- You see Felix hands
Marty a little dossier.

Listen to me, you f*cking numbskull.

Hold onto this.

Don't gamble it at Shoeby's
like you do everything else,

you piece of sh*t.

- We all have reasons for being here.

We need information on
the location of the vault.

I think we can get access to
Marty while he's at Shoeby's,

get the dossier off of him,

get the information out of it,

and get the dossier back
to him before he's noticed.

- Look at this convenient boy.

- Welcome, one and all,
back to Tiny Heist.

I'm your humble dungeon
master, Brennan Lee Mulligan.

With my today, as always,
are our tiny thieves.

Let's say hello, tiny thieves.

- Hello!
- Hello, tiny thieves.

- On the board we've got
Bean, Boomer Coleoptera,

Car-Go Jones, Rick
Diggins, Agnes, and TI-83.

We find ourselves here at Shoeby's Casino.

- Just...

- Rick and the entire production design,

Sabrina, Maxxy, incredible work.

Look at this.

This casino is in between
a fence and a garden shed,

on the property of
number four Thimble Lane,

the Littles home.

- The Littles, notably
the least observant family

in all of history.

- We should really clean up
over there, shouldn't we?

- Nah, I'd throw my shoe.

- Where did all those Tamagotchis go?

- No, no no no, not necessary at all.

As you guys can see here,

we have a giant can of Kuatro Krazy.

There are patrons in the casino.

People gambling, having a good time.

We have TI, Bean, and Car-Go

all over here in the slot area,

with the Tamagotchis.

We also have Agnes and Rick

over at the card table with Marty Flick.

Marty is wearing the exact same coat—

- Oh, my god, Marty looks so funny.

- Yeah, he's a doofus.

Marty is wearing the exact same coat

he was wearing last night,
when he was handed the dossier

by Felix, his brother.

Speaking of, Felix Flick has
just walked in with Speed,

and his right-hand man, Tony Manchego.

- The mouse?

- The mouse is Tony Manchego.

- Speed!

- Two of Garbanzo's g*ons
are over in the corner.

We also see that, high in
the shadows, is Boomer,

right near the two bugs.

- Oh, he's back underneath there.

- Underneath there.

- Where did I leave my b*mb?

- You left your b*mb, I think,
under one of these two here.

- Okay, cool.

- So I'm gonna start us off

by asking everybody to
roll a perception check.

- Man, nope, nope, I gotta three.

- Eight.

- Oh, I got a good one.

19, I got a 20.

- Boomer got a seven.

- I got an eight.

- You got an eight.

What did Rick get?

- 16.

- 16, Rick, you're closer
to the corner over here.

You clock Garbanzo and Felix coming in,

and immediately know this is very bad.

You don't think Felix
will k*ll his own brother

in the middle of the casino,

nor do you think that Garbanzo's g*ons

would just openly m*rder someone here.

But your access to Marty
Flick is on a clock,

with seconds remaining.

A very short amount of
time, anyway, remaining.

- Okay.

- Other things people will notice.

You're right at the front

so you just notice these guys walking in.

Give me a stealth roll for you as well.

- Oh, that's a one.
- That's a one.

- Everyone sees you.

Even people not in the room.

- You roll a nat one
on that stealth check.

Both of Garbanzo's guys look over to you

as they walk past you, and go,

hey, you're that, you're that,

the bad actor, right?

- Bad, I don't know about bad.

Were you using air quotes?

- Is that how Boomer sounds?

- Was that a joke?

Were you, like, making a gag?

Yeah, I'm the actor guy.

- Oh, all right.

Hang back for a minute.

- As soon as I noticed,
I wanna talk to Marty.

- Awesome.
- Is that possible?

- That is totally possible.

And we're actually gonna enter
an initiative order on that.

Also, TI, you clock them as well.

I think you two are just
enrapt in the Tamagotchi

that has been retrofitted
to become a gambling device

that spits out beads when you win.

- How much time is there?

- Well, it depends how much time

you can buy Agnes and Rick, basically.

You've got three
different groups of people

that are trying to make
their way to collect Marty.

- Now, have they seen Marty?

They know Marty's in here?

- None of them have seen Marty.

The only one of them that have seen Marty

or they were talking about him

were these two security
fairies over by the phone.

So we're actually gonna
enter initiative order now.

And the very first act's gonna be Rick.

- Okay. I want to grab Marty

and try to pull him
under the table with me

like I'm helping.

Like hey, that's your brother coming in.

He's gonna flip out.

Quick, we gotta hide.

- I'm gonna ask you to
go ahead and give me

a persuasion roll.

- That's a three,

but I can add eight, so 11.

- 11 is good but not good enough

to get a guy to go under a table

in the middle of the casino.

He goes, ha, listen man, you
go under there, I'm good.

My brother, he's an idiot, man.

He doesn't know me.

He doesn't know what I'm capable of.

He doesn't know what I can do.

Next, the initiative as
the clock is ticking down,

if you have a bonus action, remove action,

you're welcome to take it.

But it seems like you might be—

- Well, I was trying to pull him also.

Like, did that—

- If you want to have that be
sort of like your move action

and then kind of make like a grapple check

to pull him under the table,
you are welcome to do that.

- I'll give it, you know what,
I'll give it a try, see if.

- Give me an athletics roll.

- Athletics is not my strong
suit as a clicko man.

- You gotta beat an 11.

- Okay, hold on.

I might be able to not, 11.

- Okay, so he is holding on,

but you guys both go at least,

you don't get him all
the way under the table

but you get him with his head below

the edge of the table
so he can't be spotted.

So he goes, what the hell, man?

Agnes, you are next to act.

- Oh, okay, so I think I'm going to go

over to them as well and
maybe try to comfort Marty,

and in doing so try to grab
the dossier from his pocket.

So I'm gonna come over and be like,

sweetie, it's all right.

This is my place, nobody's
gonna bother you here, okay?

I take care of everything.

You wanna come here?

Put your little head right over here.

And she gives him a nice
little rub on the back

and then goes for the.

- Go ahead and give me
a sleight of hand check.

We're gonna call this a,

I'm actually going to
introduce the box of doom.

- Uh oh!
- What?

- Is this deserving of the box of doom?

- What's this?

- I'm gonna go ahead.

Getting your hands on this dossier

represents your ability to
even execute this heist.

There is not another key
into this place for you.

So we're gonna roll here.

The DC on the sleight
of hand check is DC 20.

Very hard to reach in and grab this

because he's on his guard.

- I'm very scared of this box.

- Now could he help?

He's there with Marty, Rick is.

He's pulling Marty down.

Could he help?

- Not in the box of doom, man.

- I think that I've
already used my two actions.

I wouldn't be able to help.

- Those are two actions, yep.

- So I roll the dice in this box?

- Roll it in the box.

You need to, what's your—

- My sleight of hand is
plus nine with advantage.

- Oh, sh*t!

- Ohhh!

- I'm feeling much
better about the box of doom.

- You just have to get an 11 or higher

on one of these two rolls.

- Oh, mama, okay.

Whoa, what'd I get?

- Five, here's the second roll.

- C'mon, you got it.

- 18!

There you go.

You reach your hand in—

- She gives him little kisses, too.

You're a little baby.

- He goes, oh, thanks.

I've been having a really hard time.

- Yeah, I know, sweetie, I know.

- You whip this little thing out

and you see immediately that this dossier

is not written in plain English.

It's written in a cipher.

It's written in a code.

And you see that there are three questions basically,

or prompts that are written on the front.

And you see it's written,

there's like a hasty scrawl on the front

that is addressed to numbskull.

And you see that the three prompts on it

say grandma, grandpa,

and then the last one says first L-Y-E-T.

- L-Y-T-E?

- L-Y-E-T is the last one.

- L-Y-E-T?

- L-Y-E-T, it's like an acronym.

So there's three prompts on there.

You realize that this is gotta be some way

to prevent people from doing exactly

what you're trying to do right now.

The thing's written in a code.

These are three prompts that only Marty

or someone close to Marty would know.

That is your action.

Are you gonna take a movement
or are you good where you are?

- Is it enough that I know that
or should I slip it back in

before anybody notices?

- I don't think you'll be able
to slip it back in this turn.

- Oh, okay.

- But even if you had these prompts,

you should still probably be
writing down what's in here

in order to, because as
Car-Go mentioned before,

if it doesn't leave in his pocket,

they'll just change everything.

Like if he's just lost it,
they will scrap everything

in all likelihood.

So it's actually gotta make
it back into his jacket

for this to go off without a hitch.

- Well, that complicates.

I thought we had this one in the bag.

- Very cool, that's
going to be the fairies.

One, two, three, four, five.

Fairies begin to walk down
this little aisle right here.

- Wait, do you have,
is there a grid marked?

- There are grids.
- There are little buttons.

- There's little white
buttons to count out speed.

The fairies begin to walk—

- And the fairies are good?

- I should be over by him now, right?

- I think they're
security and they're going for—

- Or does it matter?
- Okay. Okay.

- Security looks like
they're going for Marty.

Blowing them up would almost certainly

be an act of m*rder.

They do not appear to be bad,

but they are going to f*ck your sh*t up

if you allow them to.

Next one to act is going to be Boomer.

- I think Boomer makes a beeline for Felix

and his entourage,

and tells him,

yeah, listen boss,

I think you need to get out of here

because I'm pretty sure I saw a b*mb

under one of these machines.

- Oh my God!

- You see, but Felix goes,
Boomer, what the hell

are you doing here?

- Well, you know, I was keeping an eye

on your brother for ya.

You said keep an eye on things, remember?

- Go ahead and make a
persuasion check for me.

Natural one!

- Ohhhh!

- Is that two in a row?

- Cool, I just want us to move Boomer over

to Tony Manchego, the mouse

in the blue suite.
- Wait a minute, I'm gonna

bust that out next.

- So you're under here.

- Oh God, you've made him un—

- Un-graspable.

- Can I just say real
quick, I just noticed

that there's a top hat on this lizard

that's made out of the end of a pen cap.

- Oh God, I just took out three.

- Where, right here?
- I'm not gonna

touch anything.

- You were over there talking to Felix.

See he says, Boomer, you don't do sh*t

without my say so.

I let you go run around doing
your little gallivantin',

you wanna run around doing Shakespeare,

that's your business.

If you're trailing my family,

I should know about it.

Tony, knock some sense
into this f*cking bug.

And you see that Felix and Speed

look like they're about to
head further into the casino.

And Tony, the mouse in
the blue suit, says,

hey Boomer, you gotta
know it's not personal.

That is your skill
check and attempt there.

Bean, it's gonna be you.

- Okay, good, let's see.

I mean, the fairies are the
closest sort of threat to us

right now, right?

They are the closest to the—

- Well, we haven't done anything to put

ourselves under suspicion.
- That's the thing, yeah.

I almost wanna delay my turn.

Can I do that?

Can I delay my action?

- You can absolutely delay your action.

Again, this is not a combat

in the traditional sense of the word,

though you are welcome to
take swings if you'd like.

Primarily with this, the
casino is alive with activity.

There are jingling machines,
it's extremely noisy in here.

Stealth is very easy in here.

And generally speaking,
there is a lot going on here.

A lot of movement, a lot
of potential for chaos.

If you wanna delay action,

you are welcome to do that.

- I almost think moving to
a better position should.

I have a speed of 50

because of how I've made this character,

and I'm very dexterous.

Can I jump on top of whatever this is

just so I can see everything

and know how to respond
to whatever situation

I find us in.
- Give me a

DC 20 acrobatics check.

- Okay, do I have advantage on that?

Dex post one double acrobatics
efficiency, no, okay.

Oh my God.

Oh, that's a four, okay.

Ah, 13.

- 13, you cannot clear to there

but you can hop over to
this aisle if you want to.

- I mean, you got this covered, right?

You got this aisle locked down?

- Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

- You have a b*mb somewhere, okay.

I'll be our mid lane.

- Yeah, I got it.

- Cool, you rush over right
behind that little pink cart

to kind of run interference.

As you're there you still
have your action left.

You can use it to prepare a reaction

or kinda do whatever you want.

- Yeah, I'll prepare a reaction.

Do I have to tell you what it is?

- You have to tell me what it is

and what's gonna trigger it.

- I want to run distraction

on either Felix or the
fairies or Bugless,

if they come near me.

I don't wanna stand in
the middle of the aisle

and be like—

- Looking around you—

- Oh, thank you, God!

- Looking around you,

you have this huge bar here.

Tons of prizes.

It's like a bar,

tons of prizes and things over here.

The cash room right over here,

the sort of like security vault.

There's a bunch of bees having sugar here.

There's a cart right here,

more bartender stools.

So what kind of action
would you like to prepare

should someone approach you?

- I have a, I mean just fighting them

doesn't seem like the right call.

It hasn't really—

- Popped off yet.

- Popped off yet.

I would like to maybe just do
something to upset these bees.

Can the bees, they can like speak,

they're not just like actual bees, okay.

My inclination whenever I'm
playing dungeons and dragons

is to throw a jar of bees down somewhere

and it never works out.

You know what?

I'm not gonna do that.

I'm gonna dash as my action, right?

It's like a second move,

and just get close to the card table

because I feel like that is the sort of—

- The epicenter?

- Yeah, where everything's gonna happen.

And right now, I don't know.

I feel like that's the place to be.

- Awesome, you take a dash.

You wanna move over here

behind the cart next to this turtle?

- Yeah, I wanna look like I'm
playing craps or whatever.

- Cool, you get over
here just behind Marty

looking at the craps table.

That is your turn.

- I immediately lose $50 or
whatever the equivalent is.

I'm immediately taken for a ride.

- Just destitute, yeah!

This turtle wearing a crown is like,

oh my, it seems lady luck
has not smooched you,

young moocher.

- I don't know what that means.

- Ohhh, gambling.

- How's this one work?

- The ancient game of craps.

You see that—

- That's a funny name, man.

- Certainly, you see
that these two gangsters,

I'm gonna start here around this way.

One, two, three, four, five, six.

- Why that way?

- These two look like they
intend the most violence

and are trying to sneak
up on Marty, basically.

That's gonna be TI.

- Okay, and did we see
Agnes grab the dossier?

- I don't think anyone saw
Agnes grab the dossier.

- So we don't know
- Hell ya!

- what's happened.

- I think we know that
that's what she's gonna do.

I don't know that we
know that she's done it.

- Okay, if I do a spell,
will that be obvious

that I've done it?

Will they be alerted?

- You can try to disguise it.

What kind of spell are
you thinking of doing?

- Do we have people coming up this way?

Where am I?

I'm here.
- It seems like these

two fairies are coming right towards you.

These two, Garbanzo's
gangsters have gone around

the other way in this sort
of less populated back corner

of the casino.

You can't really tell, it
looks like Felix and Speed

might try to go down the middle.

- And the fairies could be good?

- They're just doing their job.

- They're literally just seen as security.

- Okay, because I could cast grease

but I don't actually
need to make the fairies.

- Everybody's trying
to get to Marty, right?

- Everyone's trying to get to Marty.

The fairies are not bad people

but they are going to ruin your plans.

- They're going to take Marty.

- They're going to take Marty.

- Because we need to
keep Marty to understand

the dossier?
- We just need long enough

to get the thing copied down

and maybe even figure out
what it is, and put it

back into his pocket.
- Back into his pocket.

- So we just need to cause
enough distraction and chaos.

- Okay, I have a signal jammer.

Will that work to like,

is it possible for me to jam machines?

Are they all linked?

Could I possibly jam all
the casino's machines?

- It would be very hard to jam them all

but you could certainly jam

some of them.
- Enough to cause

a commotion from gamblers?

- There are a bunch of these

jackpot slot machines everywhere.

If you wanted to try to override one,

you definitely could.

- Let's do it.

- Yes, yes, yes.

- Yeah, I wanna do that.

Wherever it would cause
the most commotion.

Pick your spot somewhere
right around here, wherever.

Like, this is probably more
of a choke point right there.

Even the machine you're at right now,

you could maybe do something to.

- But there's nobody playing these.

Okay, so let's do it here
where people are playing.

Let's have one try and either,
no let's have one

suddenly hit jackpot.

Is that possible?

And it just starts raining gold.

- Hell ya, go ahead.

This is, once again,
this is gonna be a DC 20,

we'll call this a tech check.

- Okay, I'm an eight and
I roll advantage on tech.

- Hooo, you just gotta hit
a 12 on one of those rolls.

- 15.

- You guys see, as these
fairies start walking

there's like jazz playing in the casino,

golden lights everywhere.

People are having a great time.

Jing-a-ling-a-ling-a-ling!

You watch these fairies approaching

and your chance of
getting this information

that you desperately need
to save your community.

The window is closing rapidly.

You reach into your bag,

pull out a little tiny
fragment of a SIM card,

slam it into the base of the Tamagotchi,

and hit the enter button on it,

the little far left button
a bunch of times in a row.

And you see that this little
sort of pixelated cat goes,

meow meow meow, meow
meow meow meow meow meow!

Gold beads truly rocket out
of the Tamagotchi's base.

All of these ants in the
vicinity go like, holy sh*t!

And just rush.

And they say, for the
queen, for the queen!

All of them immediately choke
off this point right here.

This mouse whips around
and butts in behind you.

And you see that both of the fairies,

as the ants start fighting the mouse

for the different beads,

you see that the fairies
are like, uh sirs, sirs!

Gentlemen, please, no
fighting in the casino!

Your jackpot strategy has choked off

that entrance point for the fairies.

That is going to be Car-Go.

- Okay, so I'm going to just try to make

any kind of like eye
contact with Agnes first

just to get confirmation, like hmm?

Okay, and then so he's gonna dash over.

Use my cunning action
bonus action to dash over

to where they are.

Try to stay low, but I
think right now Marty

is down under the table,

or at least low enough
on the table and drunk.

So I'd rather he not see me.

They're over there, and
they're far enough in the back

that he's trying to stay low

and not be seen getting over there.

- Okay, awesome, so bonus action dash—

- Do I need to use dash to get over there?

- You might just be able to
use your movement, honestly.

- Because then I could use
my bonus action to hide.

- Maybe that's the move.

You can definitely get
there with your movement.

Where do you wanna try to hide?

Do you wanna try to hide
in the shoe over here?

Under these beetles?

Or back over in this corner?

- I mean, I'm trying to get to Agnes

to help with the thing.

- Yeah, you can go duck here
underneath the table for sure.

- sh*t, I hadn't seen your man yet.

- I hadn't seen

it either!
- That is

so sh*t hot.

- You should see me when I transform.

It looks exactly like a car.

- Incredible, so yeah.

You move over there and
now you have your action

and bonus action if you want it.

- Great, so I have,

and because I'm an
inquisitive roguish archetype,

I have a thing called eye for detail

which means that I can make it.

Let's see, as a bonus action,
intelligence to check for

uncover or investigation.

Wanna try to decipher the cipher.

- Hell ya, go for it.

Roll me an investigation check.

- That's yours.

- I gotta stop leaving it there.

- Okay, seven plus eight, 15.

- 15, cool, you clock
the cipher real quick.

This cipher is breakable,
it is not breakable

in an amount of time before
they change it again.

So you already are like,
yeah, we could break it,

but by the time we did it, it
would be a day or two from now

and this would all be different.

But you know that Marty's an idiot,

so clearly this has to be
something intuitive enough

that he can get through it.

You realize that the
three prompts on the front

are three simple pieces of information.

They're the only things
written in plain English.

The first two you could
possibly independently research,

but you could also possibly pry

that information from Marty,
if it was possible to.

The last thing, which
is that first, L-Y-E-T,

L-Y-E-T, is an acronym
that you don't understand.

It would just be a stab in the dark.

So you immediately know the
nature of the information

on the front, that it would be
prohibitively time-consuming

for you to try to break it.

But with brute force,
basically, like code breaking.

Your best shot at getting those

is pulling the info from Marty here

while you somehow are
transcribing this g*dd*mn dossier

and getting it back into his jacket.

- Okay, well we've already, well, okay.

We've already established
the robot mind thing.

Can Car-Go just like—

- Analyze him and try to like pull?

- Or analyze the dossier
enough to hold the information?

Or because it's coded,
it's not gonna stick?

- I'm gonna say that it
would take a full action

of you looking at the
dossier and memorizing it.

But I would allow you to
paperlessly transcribe it

in your own mind.

- Okay, yeah, I'm gonna
use my action on this turn

to do that.

- Hell ya, I'm gonna need you
to do a DC 20 investigation

to memorize it.

- You got this.

- That's an 18 plus eight.

- Ooo, 26!

Your eyes glow with fairy dust power

and the power of your
devotion to your child.

Terminator robot brain this dossier.

Agnes, you just like,

behind the back flip it open, you scan.

So it's gibberish to you,

but you got it locked in.

Awesome, that's gonna be Car-Go's turn.

That's our boy Felix.

Two, three, four, five, six.

Speed's right next to him.

Tony goes over to you, Boomer.

He grabs your arm

to take you outside,

and rolls a 19 athletics check

to try to muscle you out the door.

- Okay, so I have to
match that to beat it?

- Have to match that or beat it.

- Nat one again!

- Are you f*cking kidding me?

- You know, if this were Parcheesi...

- We thought you weren't
going to use that dice again!

- You weren't gonna use

that dice again!
- Cursed dice!

- You weren't gonna use that dice again!

- Oh, sorry! Oh god.

- The dome is shaking!

- What if the dome breaks, cracks!

- I didn't break the set, did I? Okay.

- No just our hearts.

- Wonderful. Cool, Tony does some
kind of move underneath

your two left arms and he muscles you.

- Would it be safe to say,

and I know this is just back story,

but he doesn't wanna screw this up?

He doesn't wanna screw
up his insider thing?

So he's letting him drag him out?

- Yeah, I think Boomer is—

- That would explain my shitty roll.

- Yeah, Boomer's just letting this happen,

that explains the nat one.

- Yeah, and he's tough, he can take it.

He's not gonna get hurt.

- Yeah, absolutely. You get dragged outside by Tony.

He drags you around to
the front and he's like,

Boomer, you gotta have a
little more common sense, bud.

Bam, right into the stomach.

- Right in the kiten.

Right in the ugh, the carapace.

That's Felix's turn.

We are back at the top of the
initiative order with Rick.

- So, goals at this point.

We need to somehow get Marty
to talk in this circumstance.

I mean, do we feel like
we don't wanna bring this

to another location, right?

- Yeah, I think because if we
throw out too much attention

and they know—
- They'll change it.

- Then they'll change it.

- We also need to get out of
here without being spotted.

- Especially me.

- So I would say the three
things we really need to do now

is crack the cipher, get the
dossier back in his pocket,

and get out of here.

- We are not—

- Or they could leave

while we're still here.
- I feel like there's

an impossibility here where I don't see

how we can get information
about the cipher

without letting him know
that we've seen the code.

- He's drunk, he's drunk out of his mind.

- Okay, all right, wait, yes, yes.

Yes, I've got it.

From underneath the table,

because I've been underneath the table,

you hear, that's it punk, you're done.

And out pops officer Rick Diggins,

an undercover police officer
that's been tailing Marty.

- I think you just said d*ck Riggins.

- Rick Diggins, Rick Diggins, undercover
police officer Rick Diggins

who has taken the place of Rick Diggins.

- You see, Marty goes.

- All right punk, you're going
away for a long, long time.

We got everything.

We got everything.

- I f*cked up man, I f*cked up.

I f*cked up.
- I know you f*cked up.

But you're a good kid, aren't ya?

- I'm a good boy.

- You're gonna help us, aren't ya Marty?

- Please help me.

- Listen, we're not interested in you.

We're not interested in your brother.

I just need a couple of answers.

- Okay.

- Who's grandma and grandpa?

- Oh my god!

- Go ahead, you can roll either
persuasion or intimidate,

whichever one you wanna roll.

- It's gonna be persuasion, yes.

All right, we're gonna call
the same thing as always,

DC 20 persuasion.

- That's a 12 plus 8.

- Ohhh, 20 on the dot!

- He goes, you're asking
questions about my gram grams?

They do crimes?

- Not your gram grams.

- My gram grams?

- No, grandma and grandpa.

Listen, my roll already worked.

Gimme what I need!

- He goes, grandma's name was Rain Drop.

- Rain Drop.

- Marty's back is to you, Bean.

Roll just a flat
intelligence check for me.

- Oh, this will be a failure.

Nine.

- Flat nine?

- Zero, no, eight.

- Eight, great.

- Two zeros kinda squished together.

- The name Rain Drop is
strangely familiar to you

but you can't place it.

You're like, Rain Drop?

It's weird, like you've
heard that name before.

- I was almost helpful there for a second.

- Almost helpful, awesome.

- And what about your pop pop?

- That's Rick's turn.

Agnes, that's gonna be you.

- Oh, no pop pop from that one.

- No pop pop from that one
because this is all happening

lightning fast because you're
being approached by gangsters.

- Okay, so then I'll also do a persuasion.

And it's like, oh sweetie,
grandparents are so important.

What was your grandfather's name?

- Go ahead and give me
that persuasion roll.

- 17 plus five.

- Yes, thank you.

The rolls are coming when we need them.

None of the other times.

- We're siphoning the
numbers away from Clint.

- But so far nothing's
- I give my numbers to thee.

- Been of that importance.

- My grandma and grandpa were
named Snow Pea and Rain Drop.

- Snow Pea and Rain Drop, that's so sweet.

I bet they are so proud of you.

I bet they

love you so much.
- No they're f*cking not,

no they're f*cking not.

I f*cking suck.

I f*cking suck.

- Family's tough.

- Give me another intelligence check?

- C'mon, c'mon, be smart.

- Seven.

- Seven.

- That name rings a bell
but I can't quite place it.

- Can't place it.

Can't quite place it.

Awesome, these fairies see
this madness over here,

one of them goes to try to
break this up, the other,

one, two, three, four, five, six,

begins to head around the side over here.

That is going to be
Boomer, that's you outside.

- Kick his a*s, Boomer.

- Or be nice.

- Or be nice.

- Okay, I'll tell ya what.

I think he's gonna try to intimidate him.

I think he is going to say,

actually can I use, now
menacing would actually

be an attack, wouldn't it?

- Yeah, but you can still try

to demoralize him if you'd like.

- I do, I think he's
gonna say something like,

yeah okay, so you had your shot.

I hope you feel better,

you feel like you've done your duty.

So I think it is of much more importance

that we get Felix out of this building

because I'm telling ya,
there's something weird

going on in this place.

I'm pretty sure I saw something in there.

Now you can take another shot at me,

but this one better k*ll me.

- Ohhh!

- Go ahead and make an
intimidate check for me.

- One, 17!

- 17 plus 7,

so that's a 24.

- You stand up to your full
height and flex all four

of your arms as you stand up.

Tony looks at you, and you've given him

such a carrot and a stick here

of there's something that we
need to do to help the boss,

and also you'll be a dead
man if you hit me again.

And see he goes like, hey,
we all need a little sense

knocked into us from time to time, Boomer.

No hard feelings.

Let's get in and help the
boss man, what do ya say?

Awesome, you end your turn
right there at the front.

Now that's going to be Bean.

- So we have the beetles
coming up sort of this lane

and Speed and Felix
- Felix in the middle.

- Speed and Felix in the middle.

Are they approaching us?

- Yes, they are.

- Okay, I think that Bean
thinks his best position,

his best play here is to run distraction.

And so I turn to,

who was my friend I was
speaking to at the table?

The turtle, there?

- The turtle, yes.

- I say, hey friend, hey partner.

What's in that big can over there?

- Well, my young man, that's a big old can

of Kuatro Krazy,

a discontinued caffeinated
alcoholic beverage.

- Cool, cool, and I've
seen numbers up there

that says 98% alc vol?

That means it's quite alcoholic?

- That is straight poison, my guy.

- Cool, cool, cool.

- My guy!

- You've been helpful.

You're a pretty slow turtle, right?

- Oh I'm slow on my feet but
I'm quick where it counts

if you catch my drift.

- Wait, what?

Hold on, That's not a great brag, dude!

- Ew, he's quick where it counts?

- I'm quick where it counts!

- I finish in seconds.

- Not very exhausting

if you've got more important things to do.

- Maybe that's what turtles like.

- I don't have the stamina.

Everyone in my species wants it over,

and over yesterday, thank you very much.

- See, this is why you
come behind the paywall.

You can't get this outside.

- Yeah, yeah, for the sexy stuff.

- For the real hot,
- For the turtle sex.

- The hot turtle sh*t.

- The shell on shell action.

- Yeah, the squeaking.

- I say, yowza!

You might just wanna start crawling

that way now.

And I discreetly, I think I'm
trying to play it so cool,

like I'm just walking
around the craps table

like oh come on, big four.

Do we want fours?

I don't know.

I'm gonna make my way over

to the sort of spigot connection here.

- Yes, okay, awesome.

- And I am going to take
out my weapon of choice,

which is a Q-tip,

which I've realized since
I saw my mini figure

is probably not the most
lethal weapon around,

what with its cotton soft tip.

And I'm going to just
really discreetly like,

almost like a cough,

make an attack action against
the spigot and the hose

trying to severe it.

- Hell ya.

- Cause a whole big mess.

- A whole big mess, dope.

You scoot over here with that 50 speed.

- I take that ant and I gently lift him

and place him to the side.

- Hey bud, buy a lady
a drink first.

- Oh, I'm about to!

- Wonderful, the turtle
scoots a little bit a ways

from there as well,
following your instructions.

Go ahead and I'm gonna say
that this thing has an armor,

and because this is a regular object,

armor class of 16.

It's got 10 hit points.

- Okay, that is not gonna do it.

That's four plus seven, so that's an 11.

So I think my Q-tip just
barely bounces off of it

and I get kinda frustrated.

And then I try to remember
what Master Buttons told me

and I put my Q-tip away
and I spend just some of

my inner calm, some of my ki,
to activate flurry of blows.

- Hell ya.

- So now I'm just like right underneath it

and I just go, punch, punch.

- Can you imagine though
as an outside observer

this scene of this little
person hits the faucet

with a Q-tip and nothing happens,

and he just starts punching it.

- He hates that faucet.

- What is his problem?

- What did that faucet do to that guy?

- So I make two unarmed attacks.

- Yes you do.

- Ah, well one of 'em's gonna be good.

That's an 18, so that hits.

- Hell ya.

- And then unarmed is
1D4 plus five, eight.

- Eight, the thing is badly injured,

it still has two hit points left.

It does not spray everywhere
all over the place yet.

So you, crack crack!

Go into the spigot, it
is still not broken.

This is now going to be Garbanzo's bugs.

- What're you
doing to that spigot?

- Hey, not cool!

That's private property, somebody owns it.

Somebody made that spigot!

- Wait, is Garbanzo here too?

- Some of his g*ons are.

- Okay, good.

- They come up, TI, that's gonna be you.

- Okay, in this part
I've stopped one fairy

but there's another fairy on that side.

- Yeah, you saw her tuck
around to the other side.

- Who's closest to the table right now?

Of the bad guys?

- Of the bad guys?

Probably that fairy over there,
but these guys have Bean.

The bugs have Bean in their way.

Bean is kind of solo running
interference on the bugs

and Speed and Felix right now.

Because right now sort of Boomer's at the front,

half your party's at the table with Marty.

So you're kind of trying
to cover the, you know—

- Do I have enough speed to
get in front of them here?

- Potentially yes, you do.

- Could I do grease in a
way where I'm just like,

I spilled grease!

I'm a kid, I don't know what happened!

- You know what?

My son is always spilling grease.

- You absolutely can.

So you can go ahead and
cast grease, no problem.

Tell me where you're casting grease.

- Okay wait, but should I move first?

- Yes, go ahead and
move where you wanna move.

- I wanna move middle here.

I wanna get around.
- So we're gonna go

one, two, three, four, five, six.

You move right here.
- Great.

- Hell ya, so you go ahead and cast grease.

Which in your case, so
you're trying your best

to make it look like an accident.

Go ahead if you'd be so kind

and make a deception roll for me.

- Uh oh.
- 20?

Ohhh, 16!
- Ooo, alright.

- 16, so you really convince.

You know, you've been
doing crocodile tears

for your parents
- I'm a kid!

- And you do this sort of teen act.

So you go up and you pull something

off your pack.
- So like oil that I have

for fixing things.

- You have a little thing
of pressurized motor oil.

You blast gallons and gallons,

well not human sized gallons,

but a colossal amount of oil out of this

like a pressurized hose.
- Oh I got a leaky bag, oh sorry!

I gotta fix this bag.

- You see that one of the
bees right over here go,

it's all right sweetie, we
all spill grease every day.

Every day we spill hot grease.

Where is your 10 foot
square of grease gonna go?

Where do you want it to go?

- How big is 10?

It's just one of these squares?

- It's like a two by two square of dots.

- Oh, two by two?

Can I do, they can't walk
around past this thing, right?

- Yeah, that would slow them down.

They'd have to move that, yeah.

- So can I put it here and here?

- Yep, right in the
middle, you can do that.

The bees in the middle are covered in oil.

And you see one of them
goes like f*ck, man, oh!

We don't get a lot of
days off of the hive, man!

- Sorry, I'm sorry.

- You see, awesome, you cast grease.

- Do I get a chance for another action?

- If you have a bonus
action you can take it.

Otherwise, that's your action.
- No, no.

- You spray a bunch of grease in the middle.

You see that Felix and
Speed both go, oh, God.

What the hell?

But, seemed to be conned by your act.

Car-Go, that's gonna be you.

- Okay, so at this point
time is ticking down.

Things have gotten pretty crazy.

So Car-Go's going to do a crazy idea

because Travis had a funny idea.

Car-Go picks Marty up by the lapels

and says, I am the ghost of Car-Go Jones.

I have unfinished business, Marty.

I've one last case to solve

before I can go to the eternal beyond.

What is L-Y-E-T?

- Give him double disadvantage.

- You roll half a dice.

- He's really drunk and he's
already scared, it's okay!

- You go and push through it,
you grab Marty by the lapel.

You see that this little
moocher here says,

sir, I'm gonna need you
to relax, to calm down.

This little mouse over here is
just watching the card game,

and is like, whoa, this
guy's a f*cking ghost?

I'm gonna need you to roll
an intimidate check for me.

- Ohhh, maybe.

Seven plus four, 11?

- 11 is enough to convince
people that you are a ghost

to fundamentally
- He's drunk!

- Destroy this game!

- You see that Marty, looks at you and says

You're a g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-ghost!

You're a ghost?

And just starts wailing
on you in the face.

Going they're coming back!

And just starts pummeling you.

He takes a swing on you
for three points of damage

and another swing for
four points of damage.

- Is he a monk, too?

- He might be.

- How many flurries of
blows does he have?

- How many flurries of
blows does this guy have?

He starts freaking the f*ck out.

That's going to go to Felix now.

That's gonna go, he goes one, two,

and then hits difficult
terrain, the grease spill.

Him and Speed each need to
make dexterity saving throws

or go prone.

Each of them has a plus,
Speed has a plus four,

and Felix has a plus three.

Roll this right now.

Speed is fine, Felix walks
into the grease and is like,

Jesus, this place is f*cking bam!

And face plants into the ground.

You see Speed looks over at
Felix who's just taken a dive

and Speed goes, nobody laugh at the boss!

He's a scary man!

He's very scary!

Bees all covered in oil are
like, yeah, okay, that's fine.

That is going to be, that was his turn.

Tony Manchego's now
acting on Boomer's turn.

That's going to go back
to the top of the order

and be Rick.

- So we've got, who's this over here?

What's that red dude's name?

- That's Speed,
and he's in an area

of grease right now.

- A slippery area of grease, okay.

Yeah, okay.

Yes, I pull apart Marty

and Car-Go,
- Car-go.

- thank you, and say, Car-Go Jones.

You are under arrest for the
as*ault of Speed, unprompted.

Good job, Marty.

You really helped me
crack this case wide open.

I knew we could count on you.

- I did something good?

- You did a great job.

What was this goon talking about, L-Y-E-T?

- You see that he looks at you,

his eyes go into like a 1.000 yard stare.

I'm gonna need you to
make a persuasion roll.

The difficulty for this is 25.

- How good are you?

- How can we help him?

- Well, hold on a second.

- I do have bonus action inspiration,

but is it too late?

- If you want to delay your turn

to get a bonus bardic inspiration

from Agnes, I will allow you to delay.

You can wait for Agnes to
give you that extra help

if you don't want to waste your action.

- A real butterfly just
fell off that pedestal.

- It scared me a little bit.

- Wait a minute, your
special effects team,

that's a clue, isn't it?

- Now is there anyway for me to help?

Or since my turn is done?

- Your turn is done.

- Yeah, I'll wait for
the bardic inspiration.

- Cool, so you're gonna hold off

till Agnes can give you a hand.

You watch, it feels like
a time to wait, too,

because you watch, it's very,

just knowing how to manipulate people.

He just goes glassy-eyed
in a way that people do

when they're flashbacking to trauma

or something is happening.
- So.

- So he goes glassy-eyed for a second.

You delay your action until Agnes can go.

And Agnes goes literally right after you.

Agnes, what're you gonna do on your turn?

- I'm debating between two things.

- Well, the bardic is a bonus action

so you can totally do that.

- Do that, I'm debating
between detecting his thoughts

and hearing the answer
before he even says it

or slipping it back

so that if he goes to look
for it he doesn't think

that we've taken it.

I think since I'm giving the dice away

that I ought to just slip it back by now.

So I'm gonna do that.

- Cool, DC 20 pickpocket to
slip it back in unnoticed.

- Okay, so that's my
- I'm gonna

- Sleight of hand.
- Box of doom

this one too, this is an important one.

- I don't know why that made it scary,

the number didn't go up.

- I know, but I mean, to put it in here.

Okay, and this is sleight
of hand with advantage.

And this is the 20.

I can't see.

- 14, that's a success.

- So there's your die.

- No, don't let me touch it!

Don't let me touch it!

- Oh no, it's dead!

- I'll steal all the good juice.

- It's all ones now!

- Agnes, you're a pro.

You've been doing this your whole life.

After you scan the dossier,
it's right back in his jacket

where it was the whole time.

Now it all boils down to your ability

to get that last prompt.

Rick, that is going to be you.

You have that die of bardic inspiration.

- That's an extra D 6.

- This is a DC 25 persuasion check.

- I add the D 6 to my roll?

Is that the idea?

- Yeah.

- You had the D 6 to your roll.

It's a 25 persuasion check.

What is your bonus to persuasion?

- It's plus eight.

- So if you get a 17 flat,

a 17 flat succeeds no matter what.

If you get an 11 or higher,

it would still be possible
adding that D 6 in.

- But just go ahead and get the 17.

- Yeah, or a nat 20.

- You have to roll it in.

- I guess just nat 20.

- Nat 20!

You are kidding me!

- When we need it!

- You are kidding me.

- Exillerating.
- Agnes, oh my God!

Agnes, he is so glassy eyed.

You put that comforting hand on him

and the other hand slips the dossier

right back into his coat.

He is a million miles away.

What does Rick say to him

as he's completely vacant?

- What is L-Y-E-T?

- Now say what is first I.

- What is first L-Y-E-T?

Well, I figure if we
can figure out L-Y-E-T

I hope we could work our way backwards.

Because he only said L-Y-E-T, right?

So I was just referencing what he said.

- You see he looks
down, looks up and goes,

L-Y-E-T, life you ever took.

- First life you ever took.

- Oh, that's much better than my solution.

I thought it was Tetris fly.

- He looks at you and says, it's Dexter.

It's our buddy Dexter.

We were on a scouting party

heading to the house for supplies.

Felix said, we should stay.

There was a way in for us.

And Dexter, Dexter wanted
to go back to the heap.

Felix said we never go back there again.

Bean, give me a perception
roll with advantage.

- Oh my God.

- Okay, cut that, cut, edit.

- It's a two and a three.

- A two and a three.

You hear absolutely none of that.

You are punching

a spigot.
- No, no, no, it's an eight.

We're fine.

- Okay, yeah, it's an eight.

- It's an eight.

You hear Marty mention
something about a heap briefly,

but you don't catch any of the rest of it.

He looks up and says,

Dexter, why is this part of the case?

Why'd you wanna know all this stuff?

- Well, that was just making conversation.

- That weird ghost car—

- I didn't expect the whole story.

- I was just making
conversation, young man.

- He goes, oh this is really nice.

This fairy comes through.

One, two, three, four, five, six.

- I wanna take
a bonus action to hide.

- Oh, awesome, gimme a hide check.

- 18.

- Plus anything?

- What would that?

- Stealth.

- Stealth plus one, 19.

- 19, so you're just talking
to Marty and then just fully

as a cop dive under the table.

- Just making conversation.

- That's exactly the flow!

Just making conversation, fwoop!

- Incredible, that fairy is
rounding the corner there.

Boomer, that's you back at the top.

- I think he's in for
penny, in for a pound.

I think he would come in and try to get

Felix and the rest of them to leave.

- Awesome, you can walk, Felix
is on the ground over here.

Yeah, you head over this way.

- Who's the guy that
punched me in the gut?

- Tony, next to you.

- Manchego.

- Tony Manchego.

- Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna write

that name down, Tony Manchego.

Yeah, I think he's gonna try
to convince Felix to leave.

And I think the fact
that he took his lumps,

and Tony will back it up
that he took his lumps.

He's sorry for making the
mistake of following doofus

but he really thinks
this is a bad situation

and Felix oughta get the
hell out of this building.

- Awesome, that's gonna be,

well go ahead and actually
make a persuasion check

with advantage because Tony's helping him.

Three, roll again.

- Better though, higher than that.

- Better than a three.

- 19!

- 19 with three 22.

- You see that he looks
up at you and he goes,

with like a bloody nose, and he goes,

fine, I hate this place anyway.

Filth and dirt and grass.

It's not even air conditioned out here.

You see he gets up with you and Tony,

Tony kind of nods to him.

You see he looks at Speed and says,

Speed, go get my idiot brother.

Cool, Felix gets up to go with you.

Bean, that's gonna be your turn.

- I mean, I'm all about
finishing the projects

that you start.

I think I definitely see Rick Diggles

dive under the table.
- Diggins.

- Rick Diggins out of
the corner of my eye.

- Officer Rick Diggins,

Officer Rick Diggins
- Officer Rick d*ck Wriggins?

- Respect the badge, dive under the table.

I look at Car-Go like.

- I think if you're looking to me,

I know that we just got the
three pieces of information.

I know we've got the dossier.

It's time to get out.

And so I think I'm
pointing at TI and saying,

you two need to go.

- I'm looking at him like.

I look up at the pipe
and I say, this time!

And I make an attack
with my Q-tip against it.

- Hell - oop - hell ya.

- Yes, that's very good.

That's a 25.

- You can't even do less damage
than this thing has left.

You bam, hit the spigot.

Give me an acrobatics check
to try to direct the spray

where you want it to go.

- Okay, that's a 24.

- Ooo baby!

Where do you want the spray headed?

Give me a line.

From the broken spigot,
where do you wanna head?

- I mean, I think I just
wanna, sorry Boomer,

but I think I wanna blast this zone

because everybody else
can slip out that way

and I can go that way

and avoid these—
- Well, there's these guys.

Oh, I see.
- The bugs, yeah.

I mean, they haven't spotted me yet.

Could I point it up?

- You could totally point it up.

You could point it right at Speed.

You could point it at Felix.

It's whatever you want to do.

You can give me an insight check

if you want help determining
who your target should be.

- Yeah.
- Go ahead and give me that insight check.

- That's a 12 plus five, a 17.

- The only person who can spot right now

that you know is still gunning for Marty

are these two bugs.

And Speed is about to
tear off to go get Marty.

- Okay, I'm not worried
about these two bugs.

I feel like if the bugs
find out that I'm involved

then that's one person,
but if Speed finds out

that we're all doing
this thing then that—

- We find the term bugs to be a very

derogatory term.
- Sorry, sorry!

- What do you prefer?

- No, I'm gonna blast the beetles.

- Non-mammalian.

- Because otherwise I'm gonna
alert them to my presence

and there's no way I'm gonna be able

to get out of this situation.

- Okay, you're gonna blast
the two bugs, awesome.

You hit that acrobatics check,

you break the spigot off
and sweep it with your staff

over in that direction.

Each of these guys has got to make a DC 15

strength-saving throw.

You watch both of these
bugs turn and they go,

hey, this place is real
class, huh?

As a blast of Kautro Krazy
knocks them on their asses.

One guy goes f*cking shell over a table.

The little ant over there
gets blasted with it as well.

He's like, hey, one ticket to paradise.

He's very sad.

The two bugs go flying backwards

completely covered in this sugary,

caffeinated, taurine-infused—

- Oh yeah, they're jacked now.

They're about to have a wild night.

- Super villain origin story.

- I look back at the turtle
like, pretty funny, huh?

- It looks like Kautro Krazy just got

more like cinco crazy
because you joined in.

- Okay, back to the game.

- I like your style, man!

- I dig you, what's your deal?

You staying at the hotel?

- No, I'm doing some stealing, shhh!

- Ooo, a bad boy!

Well, well, well, I've been known to exist

on the wrong side of
Johnny Law myself from

time to time.
- Right on, man, hell ya.

- Hell yeah.
- Wow, you've really
embraced the lifestyle, Bean.

- He says, well, if you
feel like cutting me in,

I know a thing or two about
the ill*gal art scene.

- I'll talk to the folks.

You got like a business card or something?

- No, in my line of work
that would be a huge hazard.

- That makes sense
actually now I thought it.

- But feel free to ask
for the Incredible Dantes.

- Hell ya, I will!

- You made a new friend.

- Just gonna write that down real quick

because he's definitely coming back.

- Now he might.

- Bonsoir, mon ami!

- He's French!

- I need to move now.

Here's the problem though, is I feel like

there's no way I can move in a way

that's not gonna kind of
give away my position.

I guess I can just run all over,

Hulkamania can just run wild

over these toppled beetles, right?

- You can try to run Hulkamania
over the top of the beetles.

They might have spotted
you, you're not sure.

- Why are you worried about being spotted?

- These people don't know you.

- Because this is heist.

- They might know you, you
were just hired by Garbanzo.

- Yeah, that's my fear.
- But they didn't

see the show.

- They didn't even see the show.

- They didn't even see the show.

- Oh, you know what?

I'm gonna spend, I have
two more ki points,

oh no, three more.

So I'm gonna spend one more right now

to use step of the wind.

So I think I just take a deep breath,

just empty my mind for a second,

which doesn't take very long,

and I am able to take the dash action

as a bonus action.

And more importantly, my jump distance

is doubled for the turn.

I'd really like to get
on top of this wagon

in a stealthy way that nobody can see.

- Hell ya, give me an acrobatics check.

- Can I take advantage for my

double jump?
- Yes, you may.

For your double jump.

- I got a 24.

- So again, the sort of top of the bar,

you just one leg, like crane kick jump

and silently land on top of the bar.

- I give Dantes another thumbs up.

- Ooo, tell me my boy

what those legs do?

- I'm trying to be stealthy,
but it was nice meeting you.

- Oh, sneak into my bed
any time, you little minx!

- Wow, Dantes, you moved pretty fast, bud.

- It seems like you're leaving,

I gotta make my point known.

- From my position I wave
at everybody including you,

like, we did it.

- See the bees are like, that
guy's gonna f*ck a turtle.

- That's some good stealth right
there, waving at everybody.

- Incredible, go ahead and give
me a stealth check, please.

- Okay, oh yeah!

That's a 26.

- Ooo, you're a f*cking ghost.

- Wait, I thought I was a ghost.

- Oh, no!

You scoot up here, 50 movement gets you

to the middle of this.

But you doubled your movement for the turn

your step in the win.

So you can make it all the
way to like the far end here,

if you'd like, on top of this thing.

- Okay, that's really
just my bonus action, too.

I have moves still left, I could.

- Oh wow, that's right.

- I have 150 moves, this character does—

- That is insane!

Yeah, where do you wanna jump to?

Pick your spot in the casino, basically.

- I can go anywhere?

Gosh, there's no more
spigots for me to wreck.

I think I wanna run sort
of close to the door

but over here, because
the fairies are still

a problem, right?

- Yes, they are.

- Okay, then yeah.

Just checking things out, maybe right—

- Do we have exits back here?

- That was
a question I should've

asked you.
- There are no exits

back here, there's only one exit.

- Go it.

- So effectively, you guys
have accomplished objective A

and now objective B, which is survive,

is the objective, get out.

- Okay, then I don't want to leave, leave.

- Just jump right over here?

- I will take it right there.

- You jump in the middle
of all these grasshoppers.

And you see that one of them
turns to you and is like,

bro, you f*ck' jump?
- Yeah man.

- Do you even jump, bro?

- Do you jump, bro?
- Yeah, man, yeah I go

to the gym all the time.

What do you jump?

- Oh dude, I jump like 220, 240.

- Oh my God.

- Oh dude, but I got like
an extra set of legs, dawg!

- I know, man, and yours
bend the other way!

I love that.
- Millimeters?

- That's wild, man.

See the other guy turns
around and is like, oh dude,

this guy's a f*ck' for
real jumper did you see that?

- Yeah, did you see me
go off, I went up on it

and then I went off of it.

- Hey man, for a little two
leg dude, that's for real, man.

- Oh thanks man, that means a lot.

- Hey man, that's for real.

What's your deal?

- Oh, I'm doing, I'm
just here to play crap.

- Oh my God!

- Dude, if you wanna get in

on the next round of Snake, dude,

we're playing on an old—

- There's a snake in here?

- You see that just chaos,

and some of the butterflies
start screaming.

No, dude, dude, we're
playing Snake on the phone.

It's an old flip-phone,
it's one of the only games

that comes on it.

- All right, yeah, I like games.

I imagine this is like DDR for a phone.

- You can already see that
one is one the platform

like a DDR, playing Snake.

- I put my quarter on the machine.

All right, I give it a shot.

- Your giant.

- I'm immediately distracted
from everything else

going on in the room.

- You love this game.

- This is Bean's big day!

You've made a bunch of friends.

The Incredible Dantes.

- Bean's very personable.
- Dantes wants to f*ck you.

- Incredible, that goes from
Bean's turn to Garbanzo.

These two guys spend half their movement

getting up from prone.

And I'm going to roll a box of doom roll

to see if they spotted
you breaking the spigot.

Remind me of your stealth roll again?
- Oh no.

- The one I just took?

- Yeah, the one you just took.

- I had a—
- 26, right?

- 15, or no, 19 plus seven, yeah, 26.

- 26, these guys don't
even have a plus six

It's gotta be a nat 20.

But on nat 20 they spotted you doing it.

- Good luck f*ck-os.

- That's a 16.

- Not today, friend.

- That's a six.

- Yeah, f*ck off.

- You see 'em go, how'd
the f*ck that happen?

Both of these bugs continue
around the corner, swooping in.

They for the first time clock Marty

and begin to make a beeline towards him.

That is now going to be—

- Is that okay at this point?

- Yeah, well—

- It is, right, isn't it?

- Whatever happens
to Marty at this point.

- There's still the worry
that if that's compromised

and the worry of Felix
and the bugs, right?

That's a risk.

- Well we're not gonna be
able to abduct that guy.

- They don't know
that we got the dossier

and figured it out.
- Car-Go has observed a risk,

which is if the bugs take Marty,

they will also possibly change

their plans.
- Then Felix could say

it's compromised and we need to change it.

- I don't think you would
know it's compromised. He's so drunk.

- And why would the bugs come for Marty?

- Marty's a f*ck up,
he's probably into them

just like you are.

- Okay, okay.

- I thought the bugs were from Garbanzo.

- Yeah, he owes Garbanzo money.

- Garbanzo had spoken
to Agnes about the fact

that Marty Flick, who's
impossible to touch

while he's in the house, owes
him a ton of money, basically.

Those are the bugs.

TI, it's gonna be you.

- Okay, what are bonus
actions because I don't think

I have them.

- I don't think you have any, either.

Most of your actions
are you make big moves.

So you're not doing lots of little moves.

- Is there anyone over there that's slow

who needs to get out?

- Agnes doesn't walk too
fast but she can fly.

- Okay, because my thing
is should I try and get out

of there now or do I need to be in that?

No, because everyone signaled
to me to get out of there.

- Yeah, I definitely waved my.

- And then went to go play a game.

- Yeah, I'm bored.

I had a 150, I'm like, time
moves way faster for me

than it does for you.

- So I can do jump
or expeditious retreat.

- Whichever one you wanna do.

- So this car is still here.

- Yes, Speed's about to go after Marty.

- If I did jump would I be
able to jump to here and here?

Would that be possible?

- You can definitely
jump over those fences

with a jump spell, for sure.

- Great, let me do jump.

Jump is you touch a creature,
the creature's jump distance

is tripled until the spell ends.

- Hell ya, go ahead and give me

an acrobatics roll with advantage.

DC is not very high.

- Great. That's a 16.

- Hell ya.

- That's lower than 16.

- You do your little grease trick

and you reach into your pack,

and you pull another little level

and two little slinky style
things spring out of your boots.

and you sproing over this
and get just far enough

to clear to the other side
right next to this area

that's breaking people up over here.

- Do my grasshopper friends see that

and are they also very impressed?

- Yeah, can I get to the
grasshoppers and be like

hey, what's up?

- The one grasshopper that's
talking to you is like

in the middle of speaking
and whips over and goes,

you f*ck' jumpin'?

- Yeah, hey dude!

- Okay, so what's the deal?

I guess we just, like
99% of the people suck

and then we meet two f*ck'
rad jumpers in the same day?

f*ck yeah, man!

- I didn't know you jumped.

- Awesome, I didn't know you jumped.

What's your name?

- Huh?

- What's your name?

- Dude, Charlie.

- Charlie, hey!

- You guys smoke up?

- Smoke, I've never, I—

- You guys smoke?

Or you do—

- I'll smoke.

- Okay, word.

- Hey brother, you a cop?

- I'd have to tell if
you I was, right bro?

- That's not a no.

That's an observation
about how the law works.

- Yeah man, for sure.

What do you know about the people

that sort of come here a lot?

- Okay, actually cancel the heist.

I only care about the secret
narc bro grasshoppers.

- I call it grasscopper, and
it's coming to CBS this fall. Grasscopper.

- Grasscopper.
- The Wire 2.

- I go, yeah, nevermind, I don't smoke either.

- I'm gonna need you to
not make a stealth roll

because you're not really
being very stealthy,

you're like sproinging away.

I'm gonna need you to
make a deception check

and both Speed and the
fairy are going to make

insight checks to look.

Because you had this
sort of grease accident.

You lied about it and looked
like it was an accident.

- I can't make it—

- But now you're kind of
like making a quick get away?

- I can't make it sleight
of hand or stealth?

- I'm afraid you can't
make it sleight of hand

or stealth because they're
trying to read your face.

- Can anyone give me advantage?

- I don't think anyone—

- You're close, right?

- Is within range to give

you advantage.
- I'm playing Snakes.

- Oh my God.

- Good luck!

What do you have to roll?
- Go ahead

and give me—

- What do I have to roll?

- Deception.

- Yeah, this is gonna be a box of doom

situation, it feels like.
- Oh, no.

- Actually, go ahead and
give me your deception roll

in the box of doom, if you'd be so kind.

- What does she have to roll?

- I have a plus one.

- We're gonna find out,
it's gonna be contested.

- That's a 12, that's a 13.

- Okay, that's not bad.

- There are a lot
of lower number than that.

- A lot of lower numbers than that.

- 12 of them, at least.

- We're gonna roll the fairy, first.

The fairy has a plus three to this,

so she's gonna roll on a goodness, 10 or higher.

She's going to see that something's up.

She rolled a 17.

- Oh, f*ck, damn.

- That's just a fairy, though.

- Now we're gonna roll to
see what Speed noticed.

- This is the bad one.

- Speed got a plus two on an 11 or higher.

Speed notices that something's up.

That's a five.

- Oh my God, I closed my eyes.

I didn't see it.

- I mean the fairy is still
gonna ruin your day, but.

- You see that the fairy
looks over at you and goes,

I'm so sorry, there's no
jumping around like that

in the casino.

Can you do me a favor and just take a nap?

And I'm gonna need you to
make a wisdom saving throw.

- Oh, sh*t.

- What would be plus to that?

- Plus one.

- Plus one?
- Yeah.

- Five?

- You land and she says, just take a little,

because she's recognizes
you also as the person

that was at the Tamagotchi that went crazy

and spat little beads everywhere.

- I'm lucky!

- She just goes, we
just wanna talk

and blows dust in your
face and you, fwoom!

You are unconscious.

TI is down.

You are still at full health

but you are unconscious and cannot move.

Bean, you clocked this.

- Oh, hell ya.

- Car-Go, that's gonna be you.

- You gotta try the ghost thing again.

- You are the worst possible
person to get spotted.

- I'm going a different direction, okay.

So, let me think if
this makes sense to do.

The first time I've
ever said that sentence

while playing D and D.

So they're all here, right?

Do they have clear lines
of sight over here?

- Who, oh those guys?

Nope, that's totally obfuscated.

- Okay, and there is a fairy
who's still up inside of here.

- Yep, you might not be
able to see any of that.

You probably know that Speed
and the guys are down here,

and you saw TI go into
the slot machine area.

- She's just sleeping.

I wouldn't mind taking a nap, right?

We've got a big day of adventure.
- We have.

- Okay, so, the way I see it we need

to get Marty out of there.

And if Marty either
gets back to his brother

or gets thrown out by the fairies, we've—

- We can, why can't
- Aren't we done with Marty?

- We leave him?

- If Marty gets taken by
the bugs, we're in trouble.

- If Marty gets taken by
the bugs, we're in trouble.

- But he can get taken by the
car, that's his brother's.

- Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

So he either needs to get over there

or needs to get to the
fairies and get kicked out,

because then his brother will take him.

He just have to keep
him away from the bugs.

So the two options I'm
looking at is either

Agnes gets him to Felix, or
Car-Go gets him to the fairies.

- So we're just talking about saving Marty

just to be good people?

- No, if Marty gets taken
by the bugs the plan shot.

- Why?
- Because if he gets taken

by the bugs, Felix is not
going to trust the information.

- Will change the code, okay.

- On your turn, I think
yeah, this makes sense.

I can speak, right?

- Free action to speak, yeah.

- Free action to speak.

Thieves cant
- Ooo, there it is.

- To you,
- Perfect, yeah.

- Like, I've got the bugs.

- Okay, okay, then Car-Go transforms

and says, get Marty in and throws open

the passenger side door.

- Says to Marty to get in, awesome.

- No, I'm saying to them get Marty.

Wait, yes, Marty, get in.

- No, Marty doesn't get in.

You leave him for the other
people to get him, right?

Because if we take him—

- Well, they've got the bugs.

Okay then, yeah, so then
Car-Go transforms to get out.

So he's going down the
slot machines in car form.

- That's awesome.

- Insane, so you take
your action to transform.

- I can't wait to see this.

Oh, it's just a car?

- It's just a full f*ck' car.
Hell yeah.

- And I've written down here,

in vehicle form, speed is 60.

But no hands!

But I can still talk
in vehicle form, right?

We've established that.
- That is correct, yes.

- But only through the
radio in the dashboard.

- So in vehicle form my speed is 60.

- That's correct.

- And then can I use my
bonus action dash to be 120?

- You absolutely can.

- Right, yeah, I'm getting
the f*ck out of here.

So I'm going down the slot machine path.

One, whatever, I can't count from here.

- Your speed can definitely make it.

You're going to, this is still choked up

with the ants and mouse from
the jackpot winnings there.

If you would like to
make either an athletics

or an acrobatics check to jump that

you are welcome to do that.
- Let me see.

Yeah, I'll make an acrobatics check.

Let's call this a DC 15 acrobatics check.

- Please move your dice.

Yeah, that's a 19 plus five, a 24.

- You as a beat up old station wagon

slam some tunes on the radio

and just Tokyo—
- It's all right!

- You slam, Tokyo drift,
whip up and sideways,

like go up on the Tamagotchis.

Full horizontal over the ants.

The fairy has already used
her action to sleep TI,

and watches you just
peel out through here.

- Does he see me asleep?

- I also meant to say Agnes before I left,

I wasn't here.

And then I'm out.

Do I see them asleep, or
yes, do I see TI asleep?

- You do see TI asleep.

Do you continue out past them?

- No, if I see that she's in trouble

and I see that he is
still inside the building

and as long as those fools can't see me,

well can I pause my movement

and then continue the
rest of the movement on her turn? No.

- Can you delay a move action?

- You can use just your movement to move

and then use your action
to ready an action to move,

and that's totally fine.

- Yeah, I would like to ready an action

that if they get in the
car, we're getting out.

- Yeah, we got this.

- If who gets in the car?

If TI or Bean get in the car?

- If Bean can get TI in the
car while she's unconscious,

we're getting out.

- Dope as hell.

That is gonna be Car-Go's turn.

- It's very "Italian Job."

- You have your action ready
so whenever they get in,

that's when your action triggers.

Felix is gonna delay his action

to move on Boomer's turn.

But Speed takes off.

He rushes over here.

- Man I'm glad
I got out of there.

- That was literally
the last possible chance

you had to be able to do that.

So you two watch Speed walk up,

who doesn't really recognize
or have any interaction

with you guys.

Puts a hand and he goes,

Marty, your brother wants to see you.

You're not supposed to be
in after curfew, pal, fwa!

And lays this hard plastic hand.

See that Marty goes, L-Y-E-T, L-Y-E-T.

And Speed just grabs him
and sort of grapples him

but turns him around to start
walking away from you guys.

Do you guys do anything to contest that

or do you allow that to happen?

- I think that's fine.
- Cool.

- It's Marty, it's just Marty.

- We're done with Marty now.

- Rick, that's gonna be you.

- Now from what I know of the interactions

between these two groups,

with Marty in custody
basically from Speed,

does it seem like the
bugs would at this point

risk an all out fight
for Marty at this point?

Because the idea was, I
know that he wanted Agnes

to tell him when he
was there at the casino

basically out of protection, right?

Because they weren't there.

Am I right in assuming in that the bugs

wouldn't try to start sh*t?

- Give me an insight check.

- We know Felix is more
powerful than Garbanzo.

- That's what I'm thinking, yeah.

That Garbanzo wouldn't
want to risk it, 18.

- Plus anything on that insight?

- Plus two.

- 20, dirty 20.

You know that about Garbanzo.

You know people.

You've spent a whole
lifetime conning them.

Garbanzo's a smart guy.

These two are not Garbanzo.

And they either don't
know or don't recognize

that Speed works for Felix.

They just see some f*cking
toy roughing up their mark.

You clock them as being the
kind of guys who maybe know

how good it would look for
them to deliver Marty Flick

to their boss, and that that is probably

clouding their judgment.

- Okay, okay. Okay.

I burst out from underneath the table

and to the bugs I say, oh no!

It's the Garbanzo boys!

I'm dirty cop Officer Rick Diggins

and I'm into him deep!

And then I put on the helmet
as I'm running out this way

and also dashing, put on the helmet.

And I am too!

And I put on the Superman hair.

And I am too, citizen.

And then I put on my top hat
on top of my Superman hair

and say, and I am, too!

- So a little stack of hairs
and hats and heads goes on top.

- My assumption is this.

If I can make it so that
they could get four people

that are in deep rather than one.

- I will allow you to
make a persuasion check

to attempt to honey them off the mark

they've come here looking for.

We're gonna call this—

Let's call this, well that's the thing.

One of them might g*n it for you yet.

- There's two of them.

- I'll say this.

For one of them it's DC 15,
for both of them it's DC 20

- Okay, and this is, I feel like probably

an impersonation check.

- Well yeah, you're using
your different identities

to be able to do this.

We can call this impersonation.

- Good, I have advantage on that.

10 plus eight, 18.

- 10 plus eight is 18,
you can get one of them.

- That's not enough.

11 plus eight!

- Oh no, heartbreaker!

Rick Diggins, where do you run?

Where do you head off to?

- I'm booking it out.

Basically the same trail
that he just blazed there.

- Okay. One, two, three, four,
five, six, seven, eight.

Go ahead and give me an athletics check

to get through that.

- My athletics is weirdly low.

So that's a seven.

- Well you don't have knees.

- You don't have knees, so you go huh!

And are rebuffed by this mouse
who's still picking up coins.

And your movement is stopped
right there as a bug says,

I'm gonna k*ll that toy here
in the middle of the casino!

As he begins to charge after you.
- Okay.

- That is Rick's turn.

Agnes, that's you.

Have the bugs passed Agnes yet?

- No, the bugs are still right over here.

- Okay, so Agnes is gonna
get in the middle and say,

whoa, whoa, whoa!

You boys must be here to pick
up the tooth for your boss.

- Oh, that's good.

- Oh, I forgot about the tooth?

- Yeah, you boys came to
pick up the tooth, no?

And then she's gonna roll.

So that is persuasion.

- I'm gonna say because they
have actively been the victim

of a persuasion roll,
- They're not.

- You can make this with disadvantage
- Disadvantage, okay.

- So this is persuasion with disadvantage.

- Couldn't she just get
the one that I didn't get,

that I didn't trick?

He's too good for me.
- She focuses on him?

- You can focus on him.

It's still gonna be a persuasion check.

To get the one that's not going after,

and I mean these guys want Marty bad.

Its a DC 20, you've got disadvantage

because they just got
hoodwinked a second ago.

- So what does it mean

if I have disadvantage, what happens?

- You roll twice

and the lowest one.
- Take the low one.

- And I take the shitty one, okay.

- Oh God, that one bounced
on so many good numbers.

- Okay, so six.

- It happened again!

It was on 18 and then it just.

- I have a two.

- Brutal, you see that
normally your fairy magic

would wind its way into these guys.

These guys are soaked with Kautro Krazy.

- That one's on me.

- They're like we gotta
f*cking k*ll everybody

in the f*cking casino!

Ahhh, burn it down!

I'm gonna turn into a butterfly!
- Oh my god he's a beetle, he -

Beautiful f*cking butterfly!

Fly to the moon!

Fly to space! You see,

Cool, is there any other
actions you're taking?

You make your movement?

- Is anyone close enough to
me to give them a little—

- Bardic inspo?

- Bardic inspo?
- You could give it to Speed.

- You could give it to Speed.

I think the only person can see

is Boomer actually, right now.

- I'll help Boomer out.

I'll help anybody out that I can.

- He could use a little inspiration,
it feels like

- Cool, so a little fairy
magic winds over Boomer's way.

The fairies are gonna continue going.

This fairy walks up to
basically see that Speed

is taking care of this.

This fairy goes to pick up TI.

She's gonna make a little strength check

to just to pick TI up.

- Make her weak, make her weak.

- She's not very strong
but it's only a DC 10

to pick you up.

She's got a plus one,
she just needs to roll

a nine or higher to pick you up.

She rolled a four.

- I'm too heavy for her, b*tch!

- So she gets down and
she's like.

- It's all the tech.

- You tried to pick up my fat a*s.

- You're just strapped with so many gizmos

and heavy packs and
batteries and SIM cards.

What the f*ck, so heavy.

That fairy is unable to pick you up.

That is gonna go and be Boomer.

Boomer, give me a perception check

if you would be so kind.

- Jeez Louise.

- Four, oof.

- You see everything.

- Four and two is six.

- You don't notice anything in particular.

What's Boomer gonna do?

- Hmm?

- You don't notice anything in particular.

- Did Boomer get the
extra dice from me, too?

- He did but that roll is so low

that it might be a waste
to use on that roll, yeah.

- Because it was so bad.

- Because of how bad it was.

- No, I understand.

- Because of how low the number was, Dad.

How bad the roll was that you did?

- All right, so Boomer does not know

about TI.
- A four is like bottom fifth

of the numbers.

- Boomer does not know about TI, no.

- Right now with a roll of
three or whatever you got,

Boomer doesn't know about anything.

Boomer forgot what

the play was.
- He's forgetting knowledge now.

- I think Boomer's primary
motivation is to get out.

I think his secondary motivation
is to ingratiate himself

back with Felix 'cause he
pissed him off earlier.

And I think his tertiary motivation

is to get Felix out without
seeing all of these people

that will soon be trying to rob him.

So I think he's gonna grab Felix

and fly out.

- Awesome, he grabs Felix—

- Are you gonna ask permission first?

- Yeah, c'mon man.

- You grab him.

You can make a persuasion check to do it

in a kind of deferential way if you want,

or if you just wanna grab him you can make

an athletics check.

- I just wanna grab him and—

- Well they've already decided,

because you him to leave with you, right?

- Yeah, so he's already convinced.

So you could honestly,

we'll call it a DC 5 persuasion check.

Just to like - because you are grabbing him,

but he's already

agreed to leave.
- Even that's gonna be tough

for you, Dad.

Do you think you can roll five or better?

- Dad, you got a big roll on you.

- Go on Brennan, you were speaking?

- You just gotta beat a five.

- Eight.

- Hey, that beats a five.

- I beat a five!

I coulda beat a seven!

- Who's a big man?

- So you reach out your hand, Felix goes—

- Oh, I think I'd grab in my pinchers.

- Oh great, so you clack on him.

You see that he just goes,
this is like procedure

so he just goes like rag doll limp

with a very angry look on his face.

And goes, glad you're
back in the fold, Boomer.

Take me home.

He's just limp, and you—

- Can he take a couple of
thudding steps and then launch?

- Yes, absolutely, well you'll move faster

with the thudding steps
even with your fly speed.

Actually, go ahead and tell everyone here

what your fly speed is.

- It's 10.

- Your fly speed is 10.

- It was, but wait a minute!

To be fair to me, it was higher.

- And you asked for a—

- And I asked for a slower flying speed

because he's as big as a Volkswagen.

- So you grab Felix in your pinchers.

You head off with him
and you boom, boom, boom!

Head to the door.

And you guys see that as wings come out

from Boomer's carapace, fwoh!

It goes like two squares
in each direction.

And this noise of, insane.

Fairies are like, cards
are flying off tables.

The grasshoppers are
scattered off their game.

Tables flip, it's f*cking
chaos as Boomer starts flying.

The fairies are like, ahhh!

Butterflies are like, Tona, look out!

And you take off.

As Felix is flying away,

I'm going to make one
last perception check

for Car-Go, right here.

In the lead right there.

You're under that little parasol

and there's a lot of noise going on. So.

Box of doom.

Felix is not a dummy.

Felix gets a plus five to his perception.

The DC for this, because he's flying away

and it's very loud,
but you are peeling out

of the slot machines right now, is 15.

On a 10 or higher, Felix spots you.

Boomer takes off,
- Oh, c'mon!
- Ooo, what did you roll?

- Thundering away, Boomer
takes off thundering away.

The wings go insanely loud.

He heads up into the
night sky over the grass.

Felix is completely limp.

Surveys the casino dispassionately.

And at the last moment
- Ah!

- his eyes alight on you.

He screams and the words
are completely muffled

by the sound of Boomer's wings

as he goes.

Screaming to Tony, who cannot hear him.

Boomer flies away with him.

You have been spotted but Felix is gone.

- It's not great.

- So I know I've been spotted.

- You know, you got clocked.

Tony Manchego takes off
back to the vehicles.

Felix, Boomer, and Tony are all gone.

Boomer, go ahead and make
another perception check for me.

- 15 plus what,

two, 17.

- You can tell that
Felix wants you to stop

and go back and turn around.

But you also can't hear what he's saying.

- Would it make a difference if I use

that inspiration from before?

- What I'm letting you know is

you know what he wants you to do actually,

but it's very plausible that
because Felix can't make

enough noise to overcome
the noise of your wings,

if you wanted to play dumb, you could.

- Or you could fly him up
really high and drop him

and f*cking execute this guy.

- Yeah, why not do that.

- So you're saying that
he does hear what he says

and understands, but
can act like he didn't.

- Exactly.

- He could be saying fly up
real high and then drop me.

- And then we don't have to
do the rest of the episodes.

- Fly up really high

and really slowly.
- Does that mean you'll tell

me what he said?

- He screams Car-Go, that's
Car-Go Jones, you idiot.

He's alive, we need to go back.

We need to k*ll him.

- Nah, I don't hear a thing.

And we already knew he's a bad actor

so when he acts dumb he's
not very effective at it.

But no, yeah, I think he's gonna pretend

like he can't hear what he says.

You wanna go to Fargo, okay.

- Car-Go!

- Just fly to Fargo.

- Cool, go ahead and give
me a deception check.

- Now can you use Jess's advantage?

He hasn't used it yet.
- Shouldn't that go

in the box of doom, though, really?

- Can he add Jess's thing
because he hadn't used it yet?

- He actually can use Jess's thing.

- What'd you roll, dad?

- Five plus three.

- Plus three, that's
eight, we're getting there.

- If you want to use
the bardic inspiration

you absolutely can.

- Yeah, I'll do it.

- Go ahead and roll that D 6.

- Maybe a D 6 is nice.

- That, right there.
- Come on.

- It's a two.

- So a 10.
- 10.

A little laugh from Brennan.

- Just a titter.

- A little titter.

Where are you flying him to?

- Just on the other side
of the door, I mean.

- Fly him to hell, mac!

Fly him to hell!

- Fly him to hell and back!

- But I only have 10, right?

- But you can go as far as you want,

you just go so slowly.

- Well I think I would keep on going

because the noise isn't gonna abate.

- You also don't wanna
drop him at the door

because we have to go through there.

- I know, I know.

- He said bring me
home, so bring him home.

- You can bring him back
to the house, if you want.

- Yeah he did see bring me home, yeah.

- So with
incremental speed this beetle

that in our real, human
world, like our scale,

would be moving sort
of like this,

just as slowly as could be, and Felix—

- He is the largest
flying insect on earth.

- There ya go.

You go guys take off.

That is the end of Boomer's turn, Bean.

- Did he deceive him or we don't know?

- You don't know.

- That stinks.
- Damn, damn.

- Are they far enough away
that if the rest of us rush

to Car-Go, our entire assembly will be,

our cover will be blown?

- So are they far enough away?

- They're out of there, they're gone.

- Jump in Car-Go isn't gonna be like okay,

well that little kid's with them too.

- You know that Speed is still here.

But everyone else is gone.

- Okay, I got this.

I see all this bad stuff
happen in the screen reflected

while I'm just Snaking out.

I turn to the grasshoppers
and I'm like oh sh*t,

I gotta do some stuff.

Y'all been cool, let's hop
again sometime, all right?

- Hey man for real, any
time you wanna chill,

any time you wanna hang, any
time you wanna talk about

people that you know that
might be interested in partying

and where they might be.

You just f*cking holler at us, dude.

- Cool man, cool man.
- Ah, narc!

- I turn around and run,

and I think I wanna Starsky and Hutch it

over the hood of Car-Go.

- Ow, ow my face!

- And I just in case
keep one hand on Car-Go

and put one hand on TI, and I
look up at the fairy like hey!

And I stomp my foot and I
spend my last two points

of ki channeling darkness.

Magical darkness spreads from a point

you choose within range.

Myself I guess if that's
where it has to be.

In a 15 foot radius
sphere for the duration.

The darkness spreads around corners.

A creature with dark vision
can't see through this darkness

and non-magical light can't illuminate it.

- You focus your ki—

- Oh sh*t, hold up!

If the point you choose is
on an object you are holding

or one that isn't being worn or carried,

the darkness emanates from
the object and moves with it.

Can I put it on Car-Go Jones?

- You can absolutely
put it on Car-Go Jones.

- Okay, than as I'm Starsky
and Hutching over the hood

- Ow.
- I slap my hand on it and a 15 foot—

- All the Tamagotchis go out.

Different fireflies,
their butts extinguish.

- Oh, my butt!

- It goes pitch black in that area.

As you focus your ki power—

- I make sure to also keep
an eye on TI the entire time

I'm doing it so that I can find my way

to try and grab her
- Hell ya.

- And get her in the car.

- Give me an acrobatics check.

- That is 17.

- You Starsky and Hutch,
within the darkness

you center yourself.

Not only do you remember
exactly where she was,

but even in the darkness a true monk

of the watermelon temple can
feel the hearts of their allies

and the people they have sworn to protect.

You reach out, you grab one
of the neck covered harnesses

on the edge of TI's unconscious form.

You sling both of you into
the back of Car-Go Jones, TI—

- Put the seatbelt on,
put the seatbelt on.

Don't transform, you got
people in you now, okay?

- You don't have to yell.

I am right here.

And you hear ba-da-ba-da da da!

And he drives out.

- Oh you delayed your
reaction, didn't you?

- Beep beep beep bee beep,
beep beep beep bee beep.

- No, what I said.

I have an action called charge,

it's ba-na-na-na nun-na is the horn.

- Four, five six.
- So are we out?

Because I delayed my action.

- It's gonna happen on your turn.

Oh, you delayed your action.
- He delayed his move.

- Oh, the three of your
peel out, sorry, yeah.

Car-Go, you voom!

So you went through the grass,

you got two moochers in the back.

What a day for you guys, huh?

You guys were sheltered
little kids a moment ago

and you're seeing a lot
of the big wide yard, now.

- I'm still unconscious?

When do I—
- No, about a minute later

as you peel out, you come
to in the back of the car.

- Oh, where am I?

- I say, you might wanna
find somewhere to park

for 10 minutes.

Actually this is concentration
so as soon as we clear

the gate I can just kinda,

the darkness is gone.
- Dismiss the darkness.

You can now see where you're going again.
- Oh great, thank you. That's super great.

- You start heading through the grass.

You guys have escaped.

Two of our player characters remain.

- I coulda got more out!

- I coulda got more out!

You see Agnes.

This bug walks right past you,
puts a hand on Marty's chest

and says, my friend, you've
gotten on the wrong side

of my boss Garbanzo.

Speed looks at him and
bristles a little bit

as the machinery on
him sort of changes up.

This bug was one square away
from closing with Rick Diggins.

But you see there's a crowd
of ants on the other side,

there's this mouse here.

Rick Diggins, you are literally cornered.

Well, well, well, friend-o.

Been a while since we had
you in trash city, huh?

- Who am I now?

- You're everybody.

- I'll just be the dirty cop.

Yeah, I was following a lead.

I don't get around here very often.

I'm more of a homebody.

- Lot of binging.

- Next in the order is
actually going to be Speed,

thankfully goes after these guys.

Speed's gonna do what makes
sense for Speed to do.

He pushes past Marty.

Actually, you know what?

I'm gonna hold off for a second

because they go right before Rick.

Rick, this guy has got you dead to rights.

You are cornered.

You look through the archway and see Marty

kind of in between these two
hulking figures over him.

One of Garbanzo's boys and Speed.

Situation is laid before you.

Is this guy who's got you
dead to rights behind him.

This situation looks like it could go

a lot of different ways.

Speed, the bug, and Marty behind him.

What does Rick do in this moment?

- And that's where we'll break.

Thanks so much for watching.

- You can make an insight check

if you want more information.

- Yeah, why not, couldn't hurt.

That's a two.

- You look out, it's the
only thing you can see.

Two plus two is four.

The only thing you can really see here

is that there's a lot of tension

and you can't be sure.

The thing between Speed and the bug

could erupt into violence or it couldn't,

but it's on a hair right now.

It could go either way.

- Yeah, okay. No - yes? No.
So he's looking right at me.

- He's looking right at you.

- Very little can be done
there for about that situation.

- Well, there's a very
distracting situation

happening over here.

- I'm gonna yell out,

I'm going to use

master of intrigue.

It's part of the mastermind abilities.

And I can unerringly
match the speech patterns

and accents of a creature you hear speak

for at least one minute.

And I am going to shout
out in Garbanzo's voice,

let him go!

This is what it would sound like.

He would say let him
go, get that dirty cop.

- Let him go, get that dirty cop.

- That's what he hears,
that's what he hears

in that instant.

- And you who are you saying this—

- I'm yelling it out just
to try to give a second,

just to give a window for Speed.

- Gotcha, awesome.

- Try to like—

- Sacrificing your body.

- Sacrificing your own body.

- Oh, I'm leaving too.

I'm running away, I'm leaving.

- Give me a deception check.

- And he's got spares.

- 16 plus, deception, eight.

- You yell that—

- Oh yeah, it's 24.

- So a 24, incredible.

You watch Speed.

Speed has a look in his cold robotic eyes

like he maybe just might k*ll this bug

in the middle of the casino.

And you yell out to the other bug.

- I think I'm yelling this,
just for whatever it's worth,

yelling this as I'm running out this way.

So it's not like idiotically just yelling

at my pursuer.

- Well the bug who's watching you do that

is incredibly confused, he's like what?

It's not for him, so he's
just totally shocked.

But the other guy whips his attention away

over to his friend.

He goes, the boss is here?

And seems successfully tricked.

Now you're going to move, correct?

- Out, gone, peace.

- Cool, I'm gonna need a DC 15 athletics

or acrobatics to get over that pile.

- This has got it.

I've got it this time, though.

That's a 20.

- Oh my God!

- Nat 20?
- Natural 20.

- What, that's crazy!

- Well, okay, minus one

because my dexterity is so bad.

- But nat 20's auto success, my God.

You needed to roll literally
a what, a 16 or higher

to even have a chance of doing this.

Rick, you do this perfect imitation

of Garbanzo's voice.

Turn around, no knees,
no elbows, no fingers.

You do a jump that is effectively like,

you just make a K with
your body and sproing roll.

Flip wildly over all of
these ants, hit over here.

You've got a move and a bonus.

- Yeah, move and the dash, right?

- That is correct.

- So yeah, just straight towards the door.

- Hell ya, so that's gonna
be ba-da boom, ba-da bam.

That is one, two, three, four,

five, six, seven, eight, nine,

10, 11, 12, you are here at the door.

- Man, I hope Agnes is okay.

- See, I feel like Agnes is

there all the time.
- There all the time.

- She's supposed
to be there, right?

She's our respect, right?

People trust that she's
supposed to be there.

It's her job to stay after and make sure

everybody's like, what was that?

- Yeah Agnes, it's your turn insofar.

But nobody suspects you of anything.

You know, you're a fairy
in Shoeby's casino.

- Yeah, I think I might
want to try to deescalate

this situation and put this bug to sleep.

- Hell ya, awesome.

- So that they don't fight right now.

- That's also gonna make you look good

in front of Speed.

- That's what I was thinking, too.

Yeah, gain a little.

- Very smart.

- Go ahead and roll five D 8,

which is think is what
you roll for sleep, right?

You could also use a
higher level spell slot

to do more D 8 if you want.

- I can roll five D 8.

Oh thank you, everyone.

Okay, so we have five, one, that's six,

plus four is 10, plus two is 12.

- 12, you hit this dude
with a sleep spell.

It does not beat his hit point total.

- That's a lot of dice.

- He requires more dice.

- Let him come at me right now.

- Oh no.

- He has to roll every dice.

- Roll 'em all.

- And then you add 'em all up

and get—
- those are just

snacks for Brennan.

- Those are loud nuts.

- I've still got some almonds over here

if you want 'em.

- I'm gonna pour all these out.

- What are you doing?

- He has so many dice.

- An asteroid lands on Shoeby's casino.

- Oh, this actually feels nice.

- Nine, five is 14.

16 plus 12.

- 28!

- Agnes takes 28 points of damage.

- From what, why?

- Agnes is out like a
light right now, baby.

That's all she has.

- You see that you cast this spell,

this bugs feels you cast a spell,

turns around and grabs your wings

and lowers your neck onto his knee, bam.

Crushes your throat.

You are unconscious, out.

Your other friends have
successfully escaped,

Agnes is down.

It's your hit points
making death saving throws.

- Car-Go Jones drives back in, wait!

- Agnes is down.

You look back around.

It's Garbanzo, TI, and
Car-Go are already gone.

- The car won't fight the bug?

- As you are hitting
the deck, I need Agnes

to make one last persuasion check for me.

- Okay, what is that, D 20?

- Roll so good.

- Persuasion, f*ck.

A six plus a five, an 11.

- You hit the deck.

Speed looks at you, looks at the bug

that he a moment before
was about to maybe f*ck up.

You see Speed transforms into a red car.

The radio bleeps, Marty, get in.

Marty gets in.

And he peels the f*ck out.

- Speed's so cool.

- All right, okay, listen.

- Rick, make a perception check for me.

- Six plus two, thank you.
- Two.

- Let me hit you with the
advantage, if you'd be so kind.

- 16 plus two, 18.

- You are about to leave
and you hear Agnes go down

behind you and look down
the long line of Shoeby's

to see her collapse.

Additionally, I need to
make an acrobatics check

for our friend who is pursuing you.

Who does not clear over the hurdle.

- Listen Brennan, I don't
know how to tell you

how to do your job but we got
a lot more episodes to go.

And you need to leave
Agnes in here, okay, buddy?

I just need Agnes to stick around,

I like her a lot.

- I know, we worked a long
time on these characters.

But we could roll another
one over a lunch break

or something, right?

- That is true, if I need to.

It is what it is.

- No, don't leave her body.

- I love Agnes so much.

- She's our fairy.

- I have one chance.

I have one chance that
I can make this work.

- In a lot of ways.

- We haven't talked much
about how this would work,

but it is the only thing
I could think to try

in this moment.

So I'm going to

swap into my Rick Diggins,
the Superior Man costume.

And inhale an entire pouch of fairy dust.

- Could we also just all
try clapping our hands

and see if that brings
the fairy back to life?

- And wishing on a star?

- The Superior Man.

- Rick Diggins, the Superior Man.

- A superior man, not a superman.

- No, I don't know who that is.

- The Supreme Man.

Go ahead and give me a
constitution saving throw,

if you'd be so kind?

- Two?

- Two, Rick, you suck the
fairy dust down into your body.

Boom, your body goes to power.

This is your last dust that you've got.

You feel something inside you

hollow out as you take
the last of this dust

and you hear a voice

coming out of that inky blackness

that follows you at
the edge of your vision

everywhere you go.

You're back in the dark.

You hear a little voice,
it's Pierre the french fry.

One day, Rick Diggins,
you will leave this place.

You will be treasured and loved.

And I will be sucked into a car vacuum,

never to be eaten.

French fries are only good
for about 10, 15 minutes

after they are made.

And I have been down here for years.

Rick Diggins, you are not
as empty as you think.

Boom, you flash back.

Wind ripping underneath you.

You can fly, baby.

- I'm just barreling.

Here's what I would do, going
straight f*cking beeline.

Fly, scoop up, out the wall.

I'm flying straight the f*ck out.

- You have a plus 12 to your attack,

go ahead and make tie roll with advantage.

- It's a 12 plus—

- 12 is 24.

- 24, and then that's a 19.

- Whooo, baby!

- Superior Man!

- I'm gonna go ahead and hand you,

ad hoc-ing what a super hero's punch does.

- Are you punching the beetle or the wall?

- I'm punching through whatever—

- I'm gonna need a death saving throw

from Agnes, by the way.

Hold on one second, wait
one second to do that.

You roll this and add 20 to that.

- Six nine, 11, 15, 17, 22, 27, 34, 54.

- 54, Jesus, you vwoo!

The casino is rocked, the bug whips around

as you tunnel vision, pow!

Your high C f*cking hand
cleaves through his bug skull.

He is dead, instantly.
- Damn.

- Our first k*ll!

- Your first k*ll!
- m*rder!

You scoop up Agnes and
you see the bug over here

turns around and goes,

a supreme man, the fifth toy
just like that to make it

onto Garbanzo's sh*t list!

And raises his fist.

You can book it right the hell outta here.

- Yeah I'm out, I'm out the wall.

I'm going out.

- You are out the wall.

And with that, we exit combat.

Jess, I'm gonna need a
death saving throw from you.

- Okay, that's a D 20?
- Come on, Jess.

- D 20.

- Oh, the lights!

- Oh no, the lights!

- Oh my God, I'm so nervous.

Oh no, it's a five!

Plus a one.

- Plus nothing, that's a failure.

You land with—
- I get two more failures.

- You land with Agnes outside.

Rick, you are welcome
to make a medicine check

to try and stabilize
Agnes, if you would like.

- They did see me with ibuprofen earlier.

It's in my fanny pack.

- Okay, is there a hospital?
- Nearby?

- I'm a superhero right now.

I feel like I should take her
to the f*cking hospital.

I could try to use my C hands to fix her

or I could take her to
a medical professional.

- You might not have the time

is the only issue.

- I'm Super - I'm the Superior Man!

- Yeah, that was close.

- Then in that case if you're
gonna try to make it there,

I'm gonna say this is
a flat dexterity check

to make it there in time.

But you're a superhero,
so you can go ahead.

I'll give you a plus 10 to this roll,

we'll set the DC at a 20.

So you gotta roll a 10 or higher.

- 18.

- You streak across the yard,

right past Dylan's tent

over to right behind the teen center

where by the dumpster there is an old,

discarded first aid kit with
a little door in the side.

You get there.

You literally land in the
ER, Agnes I'm going to need

another death saving throw.

You may roll this one with
advantage as you land at the ER.

- Okay, I'm gonna try—

- You get a 20, you're back alive.

- A one!

- You roll advantage.
- You can roll advantage,

roll another one.

- Holy sh*t, that's two
strikes right one a one?

- 18.

- That's a success.

- That would've literally k*lled you.

If you'd gotten that one,
that would've been it.

- If you'd gotten that one
that would've k*lled you.

You stand there
- Oh my God!

- As a superhero, what is
Rick feeling in this moment?

You're literally standing
there a superhero

and you see that these two little mice

dressed in little white
napkin doctor scrubs

are like, oh my God, all right.

Take two little bits of
steel wool, rub them, clear!

That is, I'll need another death
saving throw with advantage.

Sorry, they're gonna try to make a medic

try to stabilize you.

They get a plus five to this roll.

They need a 15 to stabilize you.

So a 10 or higher your stabilized,

no more death saving throws.

That's an eight, you are not stabilized.

Roll death saving throws with advantage.

- Okay, a 16,

and a 15.

- That's another success,

you're two successes and one failure.

They're gonna make another
check to stabilize.

- C'mon, mice.

- That's a three, they do not stabilize.

- C'mon, where do these mice go to school?

- Okay, with advantage?
- Better medical training!

- A nine, okay.

And a 19!

- Ooo, that's another success!

- Whoo! Agnes, baby!
- You are unconscious but you watch,

you see that one of the mice comes out

and says, Mr. Diggins?

Agnes is stabilized.

We were able to introduce a
tube into her respiratory system

made out of a old piece of
Tropicana Orange Juice straw.

- They cut off the sharp end.

- That got a laugh from the crew.

You know that's solid.

- How many tries did it take you?

Be honest, citizen.

- Yeah, no thanks to you, mouse doctor.

- Look, I didn't go to
four days of medical school

to come here and be talked down

to by a clicko man, all right?

We were able to save her life
and you did the right thing

getting us to her.

Getting her here to us.

- Thank you, citizen.

I try to always do the right thing.

- I do as well.

It's hard because there's a lot of bits

inside the body that you
can't see with your eyes

from looking on the outside.

- Maybe you can't, citizen, but I can.

- All the mice
are clapping their hands.

- This hospital sucks.

- Terrible hospital!

- This is why there needs
to be Medicare for all.

- Agnes, you are in peaceful sleep,

resting from that terrible injury.

Someone attacked you in the casino

for the first time in a long time.

That's f*cked up.

But also, it's been a long time

since there was a little heat.

- She loves it.

- Where do Car-Go, Bean, and TI end up?

Where do you guys go?

- I think we probably
set some kind of liker, we're going to meet

back at the diner when
all this is done and—

- There's a diner across from Garbanzo's.

- Well, but I thought he
was cool until this moment.

But we don't have cell phones,

we're sitting there waiting.

- This might escape TI, who's very young,

but for Car-Go, Agnes,
there's no indication

that the guy who attacked
Agnes is not gonna get

f*cking k*lled by
Garbanzo, who likes Agnes.

You know what I mean?

Agnes cast a spell on this dude,

and this dude let out.

He's a violent—
- Well, also I think

if I remember correctly,

he just flew through him.

So we probably don't—

- I think he's dead.
- No, I flew through

the other guy, right?

- No, that's true.

The guy who attacked Agnes is dead.

But you guys meet up, you
guys go back to the diner

like 15 minutes, 20 minutes,
there's nobody else there.

- Can we do it, I know
you're the plan guy.

Can we do it with three?

- I mean, at a certain point
there's the importance of the—

Sorry, wrong voice.

At a certain point, there's
the importance of the plan

and the importance of the team.

And 50% of our team isn't here.

- They're all tough as hell, though.

I think they're probably—
- Oh my God.

- They're probably okay, right?

- Yeah, I'm hungry.

- She's hungry, though.
- I'm hungry!

- Okay, let's—

- Can I get some more Cheeto?

- We'll get you some more Cheeto.

- Can we get McDonald's on the way home?
- No!

- Are we there yet?

- We cut over from the diner
where Car-Go's taking care

of the two young moochers.

Back over for our first time

on the windowsill of number four.

We go back into the house
through a little opening

in the screen of the dining room window.

Boomer lands and lets Felix down

as a bunch of little
plastic clicko soldiers

and stewards you see.

There's a bunch of Felix's private guard.

They step out.

Speed whips up with Marty.

Felix get down from your
horn and says, you idiot!

Can you not hear me?

Car-Go Jones is alive!

He survived back there.

- You're welcome.

- Why would I say you're welcome?

- I saved ya, I got ya outta there.

There was gonna be trouble, right?

- Felix's eyes narrow.

He looks at you as one of his eyes twitch

like he's looking for
something in your face.

There is

truly nothing going on behind
those giant f*cking horns

on your face.

- Thank you?

- Go to the break room,
we'll deal with you later.

Get Marty inside.

Car-Go Jones is alive,

not for long.

And that is where we're gonna end

this episode
- Got chills.

- Of Tiny Heist.

Tune in next week!

See ya then.

Agnes the fairy wakes up.

- I'm feeling like sh*t, man.

- You're no looking so good.

- I'm feeling worse.

- You have the deciphered dossier.

And immediately you realize why this vault

is un-findable and un-trackable.

Yes!

Oh, I was so f*cked!

- Never seen a real
mushroom I want to eat.

- Hey, all right, that look is bad.

- I have a story in me
that's gotta come out.

A musical tribute to Felix.

- Why don't you sing about

what Car-Go was doing alive last night?
