- Hello one and all, welcome back
to another exciting
episode of Dimension 20
Pirates of Leviathan.
I'm you're humble Dungeon
Master Brennan Lee Mulligan
with me as always are
our buccaneer buddies,
say hi, buccaneer buddies.
- Hi, buccaneer buddies.
- Hi, buccaneer buddies.
- Miraculous, love it, yes, fantastic.
Last we left off our incredible heroes.
They had a night to remember
at The Gold Gardens.
After having thwarted a dastardly ritual
and being engaged in by
a dreadful conspiracy
of the storm druid Alamaria
with Mister Sheffield-Harrington
of the Crescent Moon Trading Company
and the treacherous Clive McDoon
or as he is now known
Lieutenant Clive Mardres.
Who were attempting to
use the soul-devoid,
but still living bodies of
these captured tieflings
to summon a lesser devil
and thus lure and pull
in the arch devil master
of that lesser devil
into their dastardly plot to
destroy the city of Leviathan
and recoup some hefty insurance policies,
but it was never to be,
our heroes stopped them in their tracks
and made their way
injured, battered, bruised,
but with all the tieflings
having been saved,
to The Gold Gardens,
where we discovered the
heartbreaking history of Cheese
and his older brother Spaulding.
Where we watched Sunny get made
up by the completely martini
smashed Myrtle and the delightful Bob.
Also had a meeting with Bob,
her angelic mother and her heroic father
far across the waves we watched
as captain Jack Brakkow,
finally let go in more ways than one
as his muscles relaxed and his heart eased
and he spent a night in
the kind and tender company
of the proprietor of The
Gold Gardens, Cartio Brian.
And had a nice bath for the
first time in a long time.
And our friend Marcid, the typhoon
sent out some very important missives
to Ida egg Fort and Jamina joy
as well as detecting through the city.
15 infernal presences
throughout the Leviathan,
as well as one celestial somewhere hidden.
On the morrow, Myrtle
broke the curse on the
mutineers bell stuck to Sunny's hand,
freeing her from its grasp,
Sunny called to the wind,
Myrtle called to the waves.
And the lesser devil was brought forth
within the magic circle in
the center of The Gold Gardens
and revealed to be none
other than Alistair Ash.
A deceased tiefling who had been promoted
to the role of lesser devil,
but only as an intern on a cursed ship.
So, you know, you win some, you lose some.
Alistair was the explanation
behind these storm druids
and this trading company's
ability to access
all of this infernal magic
through a series of
astrally projecting gnomish,
young mages, and other magic users, deep
in the roots of the Nightmare Forest,
including Cheese's his
older brother, Spaulding.
But, that horror aside,
all of that contact had brought
them in touch with Alistair
to create the first round
of enchantment lamps.
And then the larger infernal
lamps in which these tiefling
souls are captured, so that
when the storm was brought to
Leviathan, that it could be
destroyed once and for all.
Our heroes look to each other
and strike out to make
their way to the Ramble.
Where the upper most highest
altitude infernal lamp awaits.
Having prevented these
conspirators from summoning
Bill Seacaster and
binding him to their will.
Now they gotta go start this
storm god's city infernal b*mb
off manually, which requires
them to be at the Ramble.
So our heroes are breaking
away from The Gold Gardens
to make it there as quick as they can.
Yes, Dave?
- To get up to the Ramble,
would that take us anywhere,
even remotely close
to where Bowser the Broad's workshop was?
- Not exactly, it would not take you.
You would not be able to move past it.
Bowser the Broad's foundry
is sort of directly
down from here through the decks.
In the subterranean
neighborhood of Cannoncourt.
But, you are welcome to
venture there if you wish.
Additionally, I will say
this as all of you suit up,
gear up, get your stuff, head out,
rain falling over the Leviathan,
as you're exiting The Gold Gardens,
you leave through one of the
many sort of interior taverns.
Take your last shots and drinks
as you're heading out the door.
Garthy O'Brien sitting at the
head of the bar, near the door
waves solidly and says, alright, lovies,
off to save the world, well done.
Looks and says, "my God,
Alistair, are you alive, darling?"
Alistair says, "Yes alright,
they brought me back,
I did a mutiny and it was
like an extra point to travel,
but then the young aarakocra
paladin n this merfolk cleric
they walloped me pretty good,
but then they let me out
so I'm here to help".
Garthy looks over, a messenger arrives
panting through the door.
As you guys are ready to head out,
going "All right, Garthy, bad news.
Bad news I'm afraid."
You see, he says, "we were
off in Galleyard looking,
there's smoke rising
from the Maelstrom's Maw,
looks like there's been
some sort of attack
at the front of the Leviathan
near where, near Jamina's shop."
You hear,
Garthy looks up and says, "does this mean,
Jamina might be destroyed?"
The doors open, a enormous
towering w*r-forged.
With a blue captain's coat,
broad gold epaulettes, pipes,
she's got like giant tripod
feet, stone, wood, metal,
one of the tungsten coils,
and one of her light
bulb eyes has gone out,
but the other one shines like a spotlight.
I'm afraid Jamina Joy is not destroyed.
And Jamina Joy, the
bosun of the Leviathan,
the powerful w*r-forged
artificer that keeps the city
afloat, reaches in with one of her...
She has two hands, one of them
has just three stone claws.
The kind of like pinch
her into a central point.
And the other is a rotating
four barreled cannon,
reaches in, and pulls
out a crumpled letter
in Marcid's handwriting.
You see, she says, "Marcid the Typhoon,
I'm glad this letter reached
me in the nick of time,
I understand, some now wish
to destroy the Leviathan."
- All right, that seems to be the case,
although I couldn't have unraveled
it without the assistance
of this lot here.
- You see Jamina looks at all
of you, her little iris closes
around that light bulb eye.
Well, all of you have
My thanks and the thanks of my crew.
And she bows to all of you.
Enterprising pirates these,
very few have come to the aid
of the city itself.
She swivels around looking
at the city and says,
"I fear that time is of the essence,
what risk does there now lie to Leviathan,
and how may I be of service to you?"
- I tell her everything, the what I sense
to the 15 things, this went
up high, where they were going
up high
Like - blahhhh, exposition.
- Cool.
You rattle everything off to her.
As you,
you look through her like bad
eye into the center of her
head, as you start saying the
15 locations of the lamps.
She, you can see a little like
almost like a lie detector test,
like a scroll of parchment inside her head
that's like writing.
She says, "crews will
be dispatched at once".
She says, " I, uh" and she sort of like
moves her massive frames she says,
"there are not many ways for me to get up
to the Crow's Keep, most of the elevators
are not certified for someone
in excess of several thousand pounds,
but these lamps would be discovered."
She looks and says,
" all of you, good luck on your quest".
And turns to look at you
as she begins to start
commanding orders out to her people,
to go basically find
those lamps in the city.
- I just say, "one question for you, bosun
I was wondering if we find these things,
with you're supreme
knowledge of machinery,
do you have any idea how we shut 'em down?
Do we just smash 'em, or a switch or-"
- She goes "do not smash them,
many pirates interacting
with magical technology,
sort of go very quickly for smashing
and it rarely works out".
- Well I feel that my experience
has worked out quite well
more often than not,
if we're being honest with ourselves here.
- There's, so, now this
does feel different
'cause I'm the one saying
it, but there's souls inside
so maybe don't smash them.
- You see-
- Or do, I don't know, whatever.
- You see that Jamina
looks at you and says,
" if I understand correctly,
they are trying to trigger
the lamp at the top
of the Crow's Keep, to set this off".
You see, she says,
and they're using innocent
souls as power for these lamps.
- Honestly, it's a good idea.
- You see, she says,
"if only there was some
way to remove the souls
from these lamps".
What's that?
- I hold up the bell and
just not quite full ring it.
But a tiny ring.
- She goes like, yeah,
when she holds the ring up
we're all just like tackle.
- She, Jamina sort of, comes in,
"congratulations on your nice bell
I'm going to keep thinking
about this soul problem."
She thunders back out into the rain.
- Well, I like her.
That was so cool.
First off, second off
solves that problem,
looks like we don't need
to go hunt her down and
make sure she's fine
and so, check one thing off the list,
we're doing great you guys.
- Right, I suppose so-
- Cheese checked one thing
off, two things on a list.
All right.
- You like, hey Cheese, you
by chance haven't mastered
any form of flight based
magic yet, have you lad?
- Light-based magic, like?
- Fly - and I point at Sunny.
- Flight?
- Flight-based magic.
- Oh, no, no, I mean, I
wish that would be awesome.
- Oh, I suppose you would have achieved
your whole life trajectory by now
if that was within the cards for you lad.
Sorry to bring up a sore subject.
- Thanks for bringing that
up at the end of the world.
Appreciate it.
- Well, if not now, when?
- It's running in Cheese's mind,
like the idea of like destiny
and fate versus free will
of just like, wait, does that
mean I have to walk faster?
Or does it not matter if I walk it all?
Like, apparently if this
works out, it's like,
how much do I actually have to try?
- Pick him up again?
- You are giving it such
an insight if I tried?
While he's having this existential crisis
- Yeah.
- I think there are some
elevators not far from here
that should get us at least
pretty close to, the upstairs.
I think the Ramble, right, right?
- Yeah, for sure.
- Okay.
- What if me and Sunny, get a headstart
and we just flew to the top?
- We can meet you guys there.
- Right, just if something
terrible happens,
like scream and plummet and we'll know.
- See, it all works out.
- Yeah.
- So, Sunny and Bob begin
to fly through the storm
on wings, lightning striking around.
You both have a connection
to the celestial divine.
You begin to hear groaning
from the storm clouds.
It sounds like thunder, but
the higher you fly it just,
and the rain is cold and sharp, painful
as it's hitting your face.
You begin to fly through
Riggaba, through different ropes
and sails and gibs and
booms, and going up, up,
up for the Crow's Keep.
Both of you land on a
perch near Crow's Keep,
you begin to hear the noises
of g*nsh*t and shouting
like flintlock musket.
Both of you make perception checks for me.
- 11, rolled a seven.
- Cool.
And for Bob?
- Just a moment.
- Sure thing.
- 16.
- Bob, you see off in the
direction of the Ramble.
And again, that's, you know,
Crow's Keep is a neighborhood
on top of a massive platform.
It is about three quarters
of a mile up above the rest
of the central deck of Leviathan.
So it's like a neighborhood
just towering in the sky
over everywhere else.
Buildings, taverns dominated
by the giant observatory
dome of the Compass Points Library.
And there on the edge is
the giant towering Ramble,
the big 11 multi-story tavern
and seat of the pirate elders.
From there, you can hear the
noise of conflict and battle,
and you see some wagons and carts nearby
one of the elevators that
comes up, which the elevators
by the way, are these
insane pulley lifeboats.
So they're like giant
gondolas, it's like huge boats
that just like a lever gets pulled
and they just rise up
on ropes into the sky.
You look and see that.
As you do so, you can sense powerful magic
coming from that direction.
Sunny, you don't see any of
this because your attention
is taken away, because
next to you on the mast,
you look and see
a wanted poster for a missing person.
And you see a sketch of yourself saying,
"Missing! Wonderful Daughter,
loves Sol with her whole
heart, believes in herself
and her family."
You see it says reward
underneath it and says,
"you can move into our
house and live with us
and we'll feed you, we
don't have much money,
but we'll give you everything we have."
- This is going to be a long story.
I'll get to that later.
I just take it and kinda hide
it away the wanted poster.
Okay, Bob, I think, they
should be right behind us
on the pulley in the
elevator over there but,
what should we do?
- I have actually had a thought.
- What?
- Do you ever think that
sometimes the things that you
say out loud should just stay
in your head as suggestion?
- I don't know if that's
ever occurred to me, no.
- I think that's how I feel
right now when I was like,
we should fly away from everybody else
and just go at our own, because
we could get here faster,
I think that's one of those
things that should have just
remained a suggestion.
- Ooh.
See, I just got really
excited, cause you know,
not used to traveling with
a bunch of two leggers so,
it's hard, you know,
when you can't
just fly everywhere, so,
you're right, I might have-
- First of all,
that's OUR word.
- I understand completely, I love to fly.
- Maybe we'll just wait,
we'll just wait for them.
So, you know, we'll just wait, I guess.
- Meanwhile-
- Or,
- We cut down to the Fort:
Marcid, Jack, Myrtle,
and Cheese.
You all pile into a gondola, you see,
there is a very old looking pirate.
There is some kind of
pirate, like ocean creature.
It looks like a, a snail centaur.
It's like, it looks like an old woman.
She's got a little like
pirates vest and a shirt,
little snail antenna, but like,
instead of legs goes into
like a snail's shell and body.
But you see, she's sort of
by the lever and says, "hello, welcome."
And, what stop will you be going to?
We have four local stops, in
Mast Hearth, Upper Mast Hearth,
lower Riggaba, Riggaba Central Station,
and then Crow's Keep is final stop.
- Crow's Keep.
- Crow's Keep.
- We're going to Crow's Keep.
- All the way up.
- You see, that very well.
And you see that she
points to a little sign,
that says, "it'll be a three copper each."
- Yeah, presumably Marcid was paid well,
I mean, I think I have it, right?
I mean, I'll pay it if I got it, yeah.
- I was paid very well, I'm
just not giving anyone money.
- Yeah, I think Marcid,
you probably didn't have a gold piece
handy and the hands are
a little gold piece.
She goes, "Oh, well..."
- Little something extra
for you there, so he had,
it was just nonstop travel, you see?
- No, no, no, that's all right.
I'll get you your change, sir.
- You could just, we could just go
and we can change later.
- You could count on the way
that also would work there so-
- I need to keep my eyes on the lever, so.
- Okay, okay, I mean can't you just,
can't you just keep the money?
Can't you just, can't we just-
- Right, no it's, I
insist, no the lad's right.
You've earned it, your
credit to your community.
- Well, if you insist, very well.
- I do.
- Alright, I will keep the extra.
- Get yourself a nice shell shine,
and if you know what I mean.
- What's that?
- Can you go fast?
- Oh, are you asking if,
I personally can go faster
or if the elevator can go fast?
- Either, both.
- Both?
- Non-stop.
- Well, it's a bit of a long story.
I was born,
- I hit the switch, I pull the lever.
You guys, sh**t into the sky.
- Yes, the elevator can go very fast.
- As we're flying up, I just say,
well, Bob's mom, didn't
say if this was gonna work.
But she also didn't say like,
no, my love turn back now.
So, it's gonna be fine,
right, it's gonna be fine,
it's gonna be fine, will be fine.
- Myrtle looks petrified by the way.
- Yes, Jack, yeah.
- During the kind of momentary
awkward silence that usually
happens when you're in an elevator ride,
that goes a little too long
and we're all just kinda
standing there as the storm
is rocketing around us.
Kind of lean over towards
the Marcid and go,
all right, so,
so if the whole plot here is
about collecting all these,
some insurance money or
destroying Leviathan,
whose paying all the insurance money?
- Marcid, you can consult the papers.
- Mmh, and I pull it out, I'm all like,
what's a depth assessment there sir?
- The premiums on these
insurance policies are
outrageous, because they're insuring stuff
on a pirate city, that floats.
There's like, all of these,
all these policies they've
taken out are like incredibly
onerous, and you see,
that's why they've been
in such a rush and it's
happened so overnight.
So, Jack as you go over this with Marcid,
you get the impression
that if these policies
don't like pay out soon,
the company will be like bankrupted
by the premiums they're paying
to keep these policies going.
- Right, all right.
But, bankrupted to who?
- Yeah, is it like a central
bank or some other kingdom?
Like, who's the company that pay in?
- It's a series of companies throughout.
There is a, hold on one second,
there is one central bank
they seem to have done
most of their business with.
And it's called KVX Bank, and it's like,
it's a Celesian money organization like,
like kind of like high
octane finance organization.
- Right, right.
All right, so at least, they
wouldn't be ignoring anything.
- What I wasn't clear on in Cheese,
forgive the indelicate
nature of my query here,
Crescent Moon gets cash, that I understand
probably prestige or whatever.
But, is the only thing the
druids getting out of this,
a constant stream of young
impressionable gnomes?
- I mean, that's why I
think it's happening.
I can't imagine my people
knowing anything about this,
they bought some type
of lie from somebody.
- All the druids and like on the payroll
as well with the trading company,
and they're doing this for cash as well?
Or is there some other
purpose or trade off, right?
It's what you're saying?
- Remember there was the
druids with the forest.
Apparently they were sore
about having to build
that here in the first place.
Maybe it's just good
old fashioned revenge.
- Revenge?
Hey we said it at the same time.
- Right, you are a genius,
good keeping up with me there lad, yeah.
- All right.
- I mean, I'm not saying
they don't have like
a moral right away in that
sort of situation, but,
it seems not going to an
excessive level from sl*ve
and a bunch of gnomish children
over in a period of time
just to get back.
Actually, I understand
vengeance, nevermind.
- Why, but again, yeah.
- The spirits are like kind of swirled out
and they're staring at Jack it's like,
ooh, no, right.
- Right, but Jack, it's
vengeance on the ones
that got it coming.
Like, we're not off
looking for Clive's mum
or his brothers, his sisters, his sons,
his daughters and hurting them.
We wanna hurt the one who hurt us.
Although I guess if you think
all the Leviathan hurts you
no, it does in fact come into
sharp focus doesn't it, mate?
Nevermind.
- Brennan, can I remember
if the Sternwood had one
of the 15 lanterns in it?
- You don't remember
one of the 15 lanterns
being in the Sternwood.
But it's hard to see how the Sternwood
would survive without
the rest of Leviathan
if it sank into the sea.
I will say Myrtle,
'cause you mentioned
something a moment ago.
Give me a religion check
and an insight check
if you'd be so kind.
- Religion check is a 14 and
the insight check is a 22.
- As Cheese is, you're
saying like, you're like,
what are the druids have into it?
What are the, like, what
could they be getting?
You know, Marcid and Jack in the elevator
are going over like, okay,
here's who would pay out,
here's the financial situation
and Myrtle, you're kind of watching Cheese
ask this a cult question
while Marcid and Jack
are kinda going over the finances.
You are the perfect
intersection of the work
of destructive divinity and economics.
You're in the middle of that Venn diagram
and for a second, you're
thinking all about it,
and two things happen at once.
You're religion check goes like,
what's a druid trying to do?
You looked at Alamaria
and specifically said
that "she is like a storm
druid particularly"-
- Yeah.
- She is not a fuzzy
little critters druid.
You're thinking for a
moment and you realize
it's one thing for a company to be running
this level of insurance fraud on ships.
If they pull this thing
off with Leviathan,
the amount of money they're
going to make is going to be
bigger than the gross domestic
product of entire countries.
It's going to be, a
catastrophic amount of money
they're going to make.
Also, they will never
be able to do it again.
No one will ever sell
these people insurance.
This is such a clear act
of fraud that you're like,
oh, and immediately you
go, this is one and done.
They're never going to be
able to pull this scam again.
And then you look and think
of the thing your goddess
wants you to be doing here.
You think of this storm
deity Kahaerin Storm King.
This connection is real.
These druids aren't just storm druids,
generally, these are
followers of the Storm King.
They want to give what their
king has been looking for.
And I think on that, we
said 22 insight check,
you realize what the trigger
of this is going to be.
They are gonna give the
King his daughter back.
- Yeah.
If you wanna know what the druids want,
they want what their god wants.
They want the daughter of the storm.
And they're gonna get it.
- Not if we stop 'em first.
- And with that, you
guys arrive, Bob, Sunny,
you see your companion
step out of the gondola
of the elevator, snail woman says,
"all right, well thank you for riding-
- I forgot she was in, like-
She heard that entire conversation.
- See she looks up and says,
" this sounds like you're dealing
with some very important business,
very happy that public
transit could feature
into your adventure,
it's important to invest
in city infrastructure,
wherever possible"-
- Okay, gotta go, gotta go.
- I actually look at 'em
like, if you don't mind, love,
could you just stay here,
unless you get another call,
we might have to beat a hasty
exit, as we hear "POW POW!".
- See, she looks and says,
"all right, all right, I'm
not gonna wait long, just-"
- Sunny sees her and goes,
" oh, Edith, Edith hi!"
- Sunny Biscotto!
- How are you?
- I'm very good, you're presumed dead.
- Oh, wow, that word has
really gotten around fast,
hasn't it?
- Yes, wow.
- Wow, yeah.
- My deary, how are you doing?
- Oh, I'm just great, I'm
a pirate adventure now.
- Oh, congratulations.
- Yeah.
- Are you with these four?
- I am, how are you, how are the kids?
- You can always talk about
this later what's going on here?
- Okay, okay.
- While they're talking, I
lean into Myrtle and I say,
all right, love, when the
screaming starts, come running
and I stealth and get
right ahead into the bar.
- I do wanna do something before.
I'm gonna go grab Marcid's
hand as he's leaving
and I'm not gonna explain what I'm doing,
but I'm casting warding bond.
- Ooh, Lovely.
- I guess when I feel the jolt, I just go,
What? Are you afraid of heights?
- Don't die yet.
- I hadn't planned on it.
- Hell yeah, so Marcid,
you're gonna like
stealth off towards that.
You're gonna stop-
- I'm expressly looking for the device.
Like I'm not gonna attempt to
fight anybody or do anything
else until I find the device.
I know it's around here-ish
but I mean it's here.
- Yes, absolutely.
- Are we heading into the Ramble?
- Yes, you guys are.
- Okay, let's do it.
- So Marcid, you take off first,
for the other five of you.
How are you guys approaching the Ramble?
There's a street lined with
sort of shops and taverns
and buildings and manors
and stuff like that.
Going off higgledy-piggledy
sort of small wooden streets
and then eventually arrive at the Ramble.
But because the Rambles
ready to the very edge,
it's kind of the street that it's on.
There's kind of only two ways to approach.
You can go around and come from the West
or you can come from the East,
'cause it's right there on
the edge of the platform.
Or you can fly there.
Those who have the gift of flight, I mean.
- I mean, if you're in-
- We all fly.
- Like whatever like you know.
- Is there a chance that I
could, or maybe me and Bob
could carry Cheese, cause
Cheese has a message spell.
So if the three of us
could get over there,
we might be able to help
guide the rest of you
who are all over on foot.
- Hell yeah, if you guys
wanted to pick up Cheese
and go scouting, absolutely go for it.
So, you guys approach, I'm
gonna say you get closer.
You guys it's storm clouds,
there's lots of cover, low visibility
so there are some people
parked around the corner,
sort of hiding under an awning,
which it seems like Myrtle
and Jack would be there.
Cheese is getting picked up by Sunny.
Bob, are you gonna go airborne with Sunny?
Or are you going to stay
with Jack and Myrtle?
- I wanna fly with Sunny
because I have a question?
- Yeah, go for it.
- So, I understand we're on
a very important mission.
It's really great, Cheese
I promise we got you.
She drops you, I'll catch you.
Then one thing I was concerned,
did someone just say that
you are presumed dead?
- Yeah, you know, that
appears to be the case.
My parents are very kind
of nervous and protective
and paranoid, so I guess when
I didn't come home last night,
they thought I died
- That seems like a logical conclusion.
That-
- Yeah.
- Or maybe that you ran
off to be at pirate.
It's what they said
about Trixie you actually
do turn off to be a pirate.
- Exactly.
But like they should have
presumed that and we all maybe
should have presumed that
Trixie might've been dead
'cause she almost was.
- And that moment of, she almost was
you hear more g*nshots and Marcid,
go ahead and give me your stealth check.
- At the best of all
possible times, natural 20.
- Oh my God.
- That's a 27, I'm
motivated to save Leviathan.
- All right, stop it.
Marcid, on a natural 20 stealth check,
you can be going over the roofs,
you can be going on the street,
what you see when you
turn the corner and again,
storm everywhere, you're
dappled for shadows
at your command.
The street on either side of the ramps
of the like sort of that stretch
before the two intersections
of the street happened,
wagon wagon, two wagons each,
one blocking one segment of intersection,
the other blocking the other.
So the block that the Ramble is on,
is blocked off two wagons
each across the street.
Each one has about, a half
dozen Crescent Moon soldiers.
In the middle of the street,
there's about another 10 of those soldiers
at the front door, that are stationed
and it looks like the bulk of their force
has already broken the front door.
And the g*nshots you're
hearing are coming from inside
of the Ramble, which again
is an enormous structure.
Also a natural 20 stealth check
all right, go and give me a perception.
- But I think I have both a map
and my sense of where
this thing was last night.
So I don't know if either
those things help me now.
My path they have is
15 and I just roll 15.
So either way, 15 is the number
- You see light coming from
some of the upper balconies
of the Ramble, 15 - give me one
investigation check as well.
- Oh, that's much better.
That is going to be,
dirty 20.
- Dirty 20 great, you
clock it and you, again,
this is like classic bag man stuff.
Like get in, get out,
what's the structure?
How do I do this?
- Right.
- You see up at the top of the
Ramble, newer construction,
you know that the place got
burned down a while ago,
and it's been rebuilt
and you go like, oh damn,
how easy would it have been
for them to sneak this thing
into the actual building structure?
Like I think on a dirty 20 you go,
this thing, is probably
ensconced within the walls.
They wouldn't have left
it out casting light.
'Cause it's a very
obvious, magical device.
But you know that it has
to be partially exposed
to the upper most roof of the Ramble.
So, you're like, that's where it is.
It's ensconced in the actual material
of the building itself,
your on the roofs right
now but these roofs
are about like three stories
which leaves about eight
stories of climbing
up to the Ramble.
So the question, sorry, go for it.
- No, no pending it, please continue
'cause it might directly
affect what I'm about to say.
- You're looking at it, you know,
you've got some flyers up here,
but you also know that probably
some sh*t is going down
in those upper balconies.
There are a couple of ways here,
straight up the sides is scary,
'cause you're in a raging storm but,-
- I'm miserable but focused.
- But, so it's either
going up the sides, flying,
or going into the
interior of the building,
which will probably
have a lot more danger,
but a lot more opportunities for stealth
and getting through.
Also, this could be a situation
where multiple people do multiple things.
- I pick a third option.
Is there like a length of rope about?
- You've got a rope as part of your-
- I had this rope trick along
the side of the building
to go up 60 feet.
And I climb me rope up
the side of the building.
- Incredible, okay.
Okay-
- Then I'll climb from
wherever else I can then, yeah.
- Awesome, that natural 20
stealth's got you covered.
Sunny and Bob, you guys
take off with Cheese
circling around, circling around.
I'm gonna need a stealth
checks first and foremost.
- Okay.
16?
- 16, great.
- 17.
- Awesome.
- 22.
- Oh, my God!
You guys-
- You all have learned
well, I'm very proud
of you all right now.
- So you guys take off
you're in the storm flying.
Lightning, moving around.
Not hard to see why you
guys aren't being spotted.
It is the cover of rain is so thick.
Now what I'll go ahead and
need actually is perception
checks from all of you.
Go ahead and make these with disadvantage.
- Okay?
Okay, yikes.
Two bad rolls, seven total for me.
- Four.
- Four.
- That's 14.
- Bob, so Sunny, you're flying,
Bob you kind of peer through
you see, first of all,
you don't see Marcid
and nobody sees Marcid.
But you look and see some
of the upper balconies,
g*nshots coming off.
Marcid, you can see Sunny
and Bob and Cheese circling.
You get about 60 feet up, which
is about six more stories.
So now you're at like the ninth story
of an 11 story building,
way closer to where you need to be.
And you're like sort
of, you know, Quasimodo,
like grabbing onto it, like,
a gargoyle like hunched under something,
just this like monstrous infiltrate.
It just, you are the typhoon baby.
I love it.
Jack and Myrtle, you guys
are back around the corner.
Just seeing... are you guys
doing any perception checks?
Are you asking any spells?
Are you planning to...
I'd wanna make sure that
you guys are communicating,
like Cheese maybe you're sending messages
back to these dudes over.
- Yeah, if I can, for sure.
Just like letting them know.
- Cool.
- The weather up here
and like what we see,
- Yeah.
- I guess we were pretty low,
so he hasn't like talked to him much,
but he's just like, every time he ends it,
he's just like over like,
"Over", like really official
it's just like,
it seems like Sunny is wanted
on a wanted poster! Over.
Can't see anything
through the storm, over.
I mean, I can't see anything.
It's not that it's over, over.
- What should we do?
Should we, try and land on
one of these upper balconies
you guys think?
- Yeah, let's do that, let's
try to get though the top
they won't be expecting that.
There's nothing above the Ramble
that they could possibly be expecting.
- All right, we'll start
heading to the top hopefully,
hopefully the others find
a way up, I don't know,
I don't know.
- I'll let them know where we are.
- Okay.
- Okay.
- This information is
Myrtle and Jack are sitting
there still under the awning and they're
looking up, it's just like,
we get the notification,
both kinda glare on the side of, watch
the towering structure ahead
and turn back and be like,
so I'm, feeling a bit out of my depth here
in the moment, are you?
- Oh, yeah, we are so far
from the water I hate this.
- What do you, what you feeling?
I think I'm gonna have to go with your
instincts on this one, you are in a storm,
it's kind of your thing so-
- Okay, but you're a
captain, that's your thing.
- I was a captain.
- Ugh, Okay.
Why don't we, oh, hey
is Stimey inside you?
Do you talk to Stimey?
- Oh, I do.
- Okay, hold on, Stimey.
- All right, hello there, Myrtle
We reached out to the
heads I do late
- Cool.
What's your awareness
level inside of all of us?
Like, do you only know what we know?
- Well I think I know a fair amount.
It's interesting, I'm still
me in all of your bodies,
but also because I'm experiencing
different things in each
when I project my consciousness
into different bodies,
I begin to feel different
almost as though I'm
becoming different people.
Sometimes I wonder if I
could become something
vast and terrible.
Maybe I could, but we'll
never know, I suppose.
What can I help you with?
- I was just wondering if you
could pass a message to Cheese
and tell him to give us a signal
when we can catch up with the group.
- You see Stymie speaks up in your head,
"hope am not interrupting you
to bad time, mustard Cheese,
but-
- Aah, what?
- Myrtle and captain
Jack were both wondering
if there was a time for them to move in
or somehow for them to
join with the rest of you."
- Yeah, I mean, I'll keep you up to date.
I'll send you some messages
when I know a little bit more.
Thank you for checking in.
Don't use my eyes next time.
Just to use like your voice.
Not inside my eyes, thank you.
- Not inside your eyes?
I can grab whichever of
your senses you'd like.
I could make you taste a message
or a feeling on your skin.
- Oh, Stimey, you're so creepy, man.
- Why?
Oh, I didn't mean to be,
what have I done wrong?
Remember, I'm only from one room
and I have no idea about
society or the world.
- Oh man, and boundary issues too.
Okay, thanks buddy.
Just tuck yourself down
deep inside me, I guess.
Okay.
- I already have my
friend, I already have.
- And from there, I wanna
look back at Jack and just,
should we try to go around
or do you wanna wait?
- You know, I don't think
waiting's gonna come
to our advantage at this rate.
I will say one thing about this red folk.
There's one thing we're good at.
It's claiming where
we're not supposed to be.
Can you grab on?
- Yeah, piggyback.
- All right.
I'm gonna go ahead and
like have best I can
take a piece of rope that
I have kind of wrapped
around my mast and sling it
to my back alongside Myrtle,
and begin to just kind of like
scurry up and climb the side
of the structure best I
can in the rain and wind.
Which is not easy.
- Awesome.
Go ahead Jack and give me,
a stealth check number one.
- Can I pass guidance as we start.
Just like thanks for this, by the way.
- Yes, go ahead and-
- Hip hip.
- Hip hip.
- Take that deep forward, hell yeah.
- 17 plus three, a dirty 20.
- Hell yes, Myrtle, you get on this.
You're very like, almost
like a figure head
on the prowl of a ship of like perched
on this mast on Jack's back.
- This feels right.
- Again, Jack is a broad shoulder dude.
He like gets up and I
think like on all fours,
like over the rooftops just,
go ahead, Jack, you get
to the edge of the Ramble.
Marcid, you don't go into
the rope trick, dude,
you just get 60 feet up.
- Yeah, I get a 60 feet up
and then make it over to the building.
And I either, I'll stay
on the outside if I can
or I'll go in, if that's the only option.
- Jack, you get to the Ramble
or sort of figure out like
the best way to do this.
You see a rope waiting for you
right at the edge of the Ramble.
As you look up, Marcid, you look down
and clock Jack and Myrtle
down at the base of your rope.
- I keep moving though.
I leave it there, like
I don't pull up the rope
and I'm like, amateurs.
Do I need to go up the
outside of the building?
Or can I cut inside?
- You can cut inside at
the ninth floor for sure.
- I'll cut in sideways.
After all, I'll cut inside.
- Awesome, very, very cool.
- Like I'm still trying
to get to the device.
'Cause as far as I know,
they're gonna turn it on
imminently, that's why I'm
just like, straight there.
- Cool, you dip in.
Go ahead with the rope present here.
Go ahead and give me an
athletics with advantage Jack.
- Athletics with advantage,
the natural 20th to 27.
- That seem from Ratatouille,
- Yeah just like
- Just like one hand, but then
like the man's in one hand.
And you're like,
- I'm really scared, I've
been rolling really well.
The last few times I've had the roll.
- Don't fix it.
- I know.
- I know.
- The bill comes due, trust me.
- Myrtle, you see Jack, this
dude was a f*cking pirate.
You see it's like arm, arm.
And you see that Jack
is just like at second,
like absentmindedly coiling
the rope behind him as he goes
like a pirate would in the rigging, just,
Jack, you are like
getting up to balconies,
kicking off with your feet,
swinging up swashbuckling
style to the next.
In record time, where a full chunk of mask
and a mermaid on his back, he makes it to,
you make it up to the ninth floor.
I'm also gonna say Sunny, Bob and Cheese,
you are landing on one of
the upper balconies, right?
- Yeah, we're kind of like trying
to keep eyes on Jack and
Alamaria as they come up
and then also just on the
lookout about to go in.
- Cool, you land, there are
some low stealth rolls here.
You land as Jack.
So, Bob, Sunny and Cheese
land on the balcony,
as Jack and Myrtle get to the outside
of the ninth story of the building.
Marcid, you duck inside,
give me one more stealth check
as you enter the building.
- That is, not terrible.
That is going to be 24.
- Hell yeah.
Marcid, you dip into the building.
You can hear g*nshots from below you,
but you can also hear some from above,
which makes you think that these levels
are not cleared, in other words,
but that some troops of the Crescent Moon,
already broke through into these levels
and are running loose in this area.
Fighting the pirates of the
Ramble that are already here.
You dip into a darkened
study, in here it's like very
Arthur Conan Doyle in here.
There's like a globe in a
corner, brandy decanter,
a desk, pirate books...
- For luck, you keep the
nerves calm you say, yeah.
- You move through.
You smell a little bit of fresh air
coming out of the bookcase,
you know what that means?
Push on it, secret door,
spiral staircase going up.
- Right.
- As you move up, you get to the back
of another secret staircase.
You can hear voices inside this chamber.
It sounds like some
Crescent Moon soldiers,
that are holed up in a room with pirates,
banging on the door, on the other side.
From what you could hear from
the side of your secret door,
I am going to need
everyone to roll initiative
if you would be so kind.
- Oh, sh*t.
- We're doing it baby.
- There it is.
- Ugh, my initiative
rolls have been pooped
the last two times.
- What did we get for Myrtle?
- Five.
- Five, great, and Sunny?
- Eight.
- Uh, Marcid?
- 23.
- Uh baby, Cheese?
- 19.
- Bob?
- Dirty 20.
- Yeah, and Jack?
- I'll be a six.
- Hell yeah.
- It's probably good if
you stole my back Myrtle,
that might work for a while.
- Focused on the roads, focused
on the roads, yeah right.
- Yeah.
Sorry about it.
- Mmh, mmh, yeah.
- Incredible.
So here's what we see.
Marcid, you know where you are.
Jack and Myrtle, you
are near the open window
that you know, Marcid went through.
Although he vanished like
a shadow in the night,
so you have an open way
to get into the Ramble
if you want to.
But you also, Jack have
more like balconies
going up, to the upper level
where Stimey has just told you
Cheese and Sunny and Bob are.
Sunny, Bob, Cheese, you
land on the balcony.
Sunny, you look up, lightning clashes
and glitters in the eyes
of Jane Wrens figurehead,
this is the same balcony you landed on
with toll bar yesterday morning.
Inside this, is a sort of like Portico
big windows, doors, you look inside
at the lightning crashes, you look inside.
See that the, open rug, fireplace,
leather smoking chairs,
there's a box of cigars
scattered on the ground
and pipe tobacco sorts
of platter off the walls.
There's are huge treasure chests in here.
And you see Prone on his back.
Bleeding from many different
injuries is Tulwar.
Surrounded by soldiers,
along with Lieutenant Clive Mardres.
This is where we roll initiative,
this is what you all see.
- Well, we've all kind of gathered.
We're all here, more or less.
- Or just the three of you right?
- The three of you up there, Clive-
- I reach over my hand
and I just grip Bob's hand
so tightly to try and
just keep from screaming
and blowing our cover.
- As you do so, the
lightning flashes Clive turns
and goes, " there they
are, men k*ll them."
- And Jack, you hear the voice of Clive
coming from that upper balcony.
Marcid, you are first to
act in the initiative order,
go for it.
- Mmh, looks like
reinforcements have arrived.
I'd like to quietly open the bookshelf
'cause I'm going to erupt
and m*rder these people.
But it's important that
they not know I'm there
'cause it's kind of my thing
- Hell yeah, go ahead and give me,
one last stealth check for this.
- That is 25.
- Yeah, that'll do it.
- Once I can see in there,
what do I see now that
I have eyes on them?
So it's going to affect
who's about to get it.
- What you see in here is there are five
Crescent Moon soldiers in
here who have stuck a share
and moved a desk in front of the door.
You can hear pirates of the
Ramble banging on the door.
And it looks like they got separated
from the rest of their troop,
trying to take the Ramble over,
and have barricaded themselves in here.
It is pitch dark, we haven't
lit anything in this room.
So-
- Because I'm a gloom stalker,
any creature that relies on dog vision
cannot see me right now.
- All of these elves are
currently relying on dark vision.
- Well, first question.
My lowest roll was 16,
is 16 enough to hit?
- 16 is enough to hit.
- Right, so I'm gonna come out.
Hunter's Mark stab.
So that's-
- They just see like a book,
like slide across the room.
The guy picks it up, what
to expect when expecting.
- Wait a second, stare up.
- That's like 20 points on the first one.
But I try to do it
quietly, believe it or not.
I try to come out and I'm like.
- One of the most cowardly dudes
is a way from the other four
near the back of the room,
letting them like reinforce the door.
Without a noise, the bookcase opens,
you grab this dude around the mouth and-
- Does 20 points, roll them up?
- That they have exactly 20 hit points.
- Excellent.
I have yet to see a window
in this place, right?
- This is an interior
room, so no windows here,
a lot of the rooms in the
Ramble do have windows.
- No problem.
That is 10.
And for my next two attacks,
I do exactly 20 on the next guy.
So I just like drop him down
and come forward and like,
- All these elves with dark
vision in here are screaming
because something is happening
that they literally can't see.
As they stumbled backwards over each other
and get us to feel the presence
of some motorists entity
in the room with them.
- Exit for my movement after
I stabbed the second guy,
I just don't let him go,
I just moved back towards the bookshelf
right there, holding this guy
and then that's it for me.
- Marcid, that is your turn.
Bob, you are next to act.
The room in here looks like it
had about 15 soldiers in it.
That number is down to six.
The rest have all been
horrifically mangled
by this ancient Minotaur.
And there's about six living ones left,
various states of injury and
Clive McDoon is here as well
Lieutenant Mardres A.K.A,
they are all about 30 feet away from you.
You guys are standing on the balcony,
15 feet from you to like the door
and then they are 15 feet
into the carpeted room
through those open like bay window doors.
And,
once again, cast channel divinity,
tune in to all of those people,
those hostile little dudes need to succeed
on a charisma saving throw.
- God, charisma savings throw is so rough.
- Yep.
- Yeah.
- It's so,
Clive rolls a natural 18.
- Mother f*ck.
- Mother f*ck.
- Clive is so, that guy.
- He's charming, but he's really a d*ck.
- Yeah, that's why he's fight's
so much harder we named him.
- Clive's a f*ck boy, and I love it.
- Only two of the pirates
managed to avoid it
before that are over
Tulwar body with bayonets
ready to finish the job.
All of these like daggers
and cutlasses and rapiers
that are up on the wall,
as you sing all of them
vibrate like tuning forks
to the sound of your voice.
And sh**t go and literally pin the clothes
of these guys to the ground,
as they are like animated objects,
four of them completely
prone and at your mercy.
- But I've got a bonus
action, if you don't want.
- Woo, let's see it.
- Well, as a bonus action,
I would like to cast sanctuary on Cheese,
plus he's just a little guy
and I need to make sure he stay safe.
So I'd like to cast sanctuary.
- Incredible, Cheese,
you feel the warm glow
of Bob's radiance surround
you and it's very fitting
because it is now your turn.
- Yeah, awesome.
Okay.
And like Cheese is like
hyping himself up this time.
Like, I'm not gonna go
dark, I'm not gonna run.
I'm not gonna, I'm gonna
do it, imma Cheese it up.
Do we see, are we in the
presence of this device?
Or do we see it or?
- You do not see it right
here in front of you.
- Okay.
I wanna cast the Waldo
and try to locate it.
- Hell yes.
You cast locate object.
This is on like sort of 11th
solid floor of the building.
The infernal lamp is in the
attic, ensconced in wood.
But the very top of it has become,
remember how the tops of them
were almost like minarettes, right?
The top of it is at the crest of the roof.
The roof of this place though
is a steep 45 degree angle
like full of shingles
covered in rain water.
So, it will be hard to get to,
but you can either get to the attic.
You're like sort of
traveling there in your mind.
There is an attic covered with rafters,
with what you know, very sort of like
freshly made and built.
You could get there and you
get access to the full object,
but you'd have to tear the wood away
to actually get to the object proper.
Or you could climb up onto
the extremely dangerous roof
under an open storm
and get to it that way.
Cheese sees that on his turn and can also,
I believe as a free action communicate
that to Stimey if you want to.
- Yeah, that's what I'm doing.
Just like Stimey, Stimey, listen up.
- All right, yes.
- Okay, I need you to get this
like perfect telephone, okay.
Are you ready?
- Okay.
- Okay, there is the device, okay.
Say it with me, say it, the device.
- The device.
- Okay, is on the roof.
- Is on the roof.
- You can get to it through the top.
- You can get to it through the top.
- Or through the attic.
- Or through the attic.
- I'm going up there now.
- I'm going up there now.
- Avenge my death, If I
fall and die, okay gotta go.
- Wait, what?
So Myrtle and Jack, you both receive
that message verbatim from Stimey,
and Marcid, as you're in this room,
gleefully murdering these soldiers,
you hear a little voice in your head.
Go, so sorry to pop in,
while I was holding onto you
I think some of my water may have leaked
into your bloodstream.
- Am I having a stroke? Not now.
- You hear Alycon in your head be like,
"Sire, there's someone else in here.
I don't know what's happening.'
- That's, a bit late, yes that's Stimey.
I think you were, right?
- That's Stimey's, right?
Oh, your ladyship, I am so sorry.
- Oh, my God.
- I have died, I'm in a furnace,
this is what Hell is like yeah.
- Yeah, you see Alycon says,
"I'm sorry, I'm somewhat flustered
it's a pleasure to meet you,
let's talk to my other pleasure."
- I'm here with this dead elf
and my knife at his throat.
I'm like, could you not right now, please.
- Yeah, you are having a
immobile sentiment object
meet-cute in your brain.
- Yeah.
- You are in this m*rder-fest
incredible Cheese, that is your turn.
- Sorry, it's the implication there,
the Stimey passes the message to me too.
- Yes, sort of.
Stimey passes the message to you as well.
You guys hear a voice from the roof.
Call out going, "sisters of the storm,
comes to my aid, heed my call."
You guys begin to see shapes
emerging from the clouds.
Sunny, Bob, Cheese and Myrtle
and Jack rolls are outside.
You begin to see.
Screeching, corrupted druids,
you see, in the shape of women
that are partially these feral birds,
harpies begin to descend from the storm.
Flapping down as the first component
as a ritual begins on the roof.
Soldiers are going to go.
There are six inside of the balcony,
Dave, your three spend their round
coming out of the surprised condition.
So that's what they're doing.
- Yay.
- Yay, the six inside are going to, well,
only two of them are free,
so four are gonna spend
their turns trying to escape.
Only one of them escapes on that round.
The others are still pinned by daggers
and stuff to the floor.
Two of them are gonna take
shots on Sunny, however.
Those are both going to hit.
- Boo.
- Boo.
Sunny, you take 12 points
of damage from two hits
as they fire on you with their muskets.
So you take these shots,
you're in it now, right?
Sunny, your turn, you take
those shots and it's you.
- Okay.
So I see Tulwar laying on the ground.
- Yes.
- Standing by this dude's yeah,
Captain Clive f*ck is there.
- Correct.
- Is he clearly the
commanding officer here?
- He's clearly the
commanding officer here.
That is correct.
- Okay, and I don't see Cheese.
Or do I see Marcid?
Probably not-
- You do not see Marcid.
Right now it's just you, Bob and Cheese
on the balcony, Tulwar inside.
- Okay, I... seeing Tulwar,
seeing my mentor on the ground
who introduced me to this entire lifestyle
just start imminenting rage.
You can see this kind of divine heat waves
almost start coming off of Sunny
but it almost looks a little
bit like musket smoke,
like from the essence of Jane
and Sunny walks or flies over and says,
"You are all a disgrace to Leviathan!
"Terrible pirates! YOU!"
and I point at Clive
and I'm going to use the command spell.
And I say, all of you, walk the plank.
And it's kind of my slight tweak
on getting them to flee,
but I'm gonna do it towards Clive
to see if I can get them all to f*ck off.
- Hell yes.
we are going to roll right
now for Clive's resistance
to this spell, you are casting command.
- Correct.
- Your DC is 14?
- Correct.
- Our boy Clive gets a
nice 13 on his saving.
- Oh, sh*t.
- And not only was he
about to unload on you
because he has literally
next to the initiative,
you watch as you command this,
you guys see out in the storm cloud.
Way at the edges, the whole
sky filled with storms.
The clouds break on the distant horizon,
as the goddess of the horizon clears
and a bolt of sunlight streams in.
Illuminating the far edge of the ocean
and the storm at the edge becomes
the face of a beautiful woman.
Long hair whose scowl matches
the scowl of her champion.
You see Clive, who was born
in Leviathan was a pirate
and turned his back on his captain.
A mutineer breaking the Pirate's Code.
You watch him go
and he spends his round
sprinting to leap off the edge
of the Ramble, he just
goes to the nearest thing
that is like a plank
and it's his turn next.
He makes his way, I will say this,
he follows the exact
wording of the command.
So he walks, which means
he only takes a movement.
- Okay.
- Gets to the edge and
does not attack anybody.
Anyone that wants to can take
an attack of opportunity on
him, as he is passing
through your threatened area
but maybe that might
feel a little unsporting
as he's magically commanded right now-
- Also a shove as an attack action.
- Cool, that is command.
You have moved Clive outside,
Clive loses his entire turn
just following your order.
Oh, my God-
- I then just take whatever movement,
whatever action I have left
and I just throw myself over top of Tulwar
and begin to try and shake
and see if I can wake
him up, that's my turn.
- You move over Tulwar, Tulwar
a little sappy here says,
" Oh, my champion, you are a true pirate".
- I'm gonna get you better,
captain, just hang in.
- I am not lying, this
is the initiative order.
It could not be more poetic,
staggered by the rebuke
of his wicked life,
Clive moves to the edge of the balcony.
Jack, it's your turn.
- So, here's my question.
So, the balcony is higher
than where we currently are,
like a little bit higher, correct?
- Correct.
- And the roof is higher than that.
Like how like 15, 20 feet,
how high up is the roof?
- It's about 20 feet up to the balcony
of the balcony above where Clive is.
And then probably another 10
feet past that to the roof.
- Okay.
Here's what I'm gonna do.
So the reason my initiative is so low
is because looking up
there, I could climb,
but it's slick and it's dangerous.
So I'm gonna use part of my
action to take my grappling hook
attached to the rope that I have.
I kinda sort of throw it over my shoulders
as I was climbing up the
side of the building,
swing it and toss it on
to the top of the roof,
with 50 foot, hemp and rope.
- Awesome.
- Get it caught, looking back
on my shoulder at Myrtle,
and be like, hold on, I'm
going to get you up there.
And with a swing back, I
began to run up the side
as I climb and kind of jump
off, pulling myself up.
And that was when I noticed
Clive is now at the balcony.
So, my walking speed is 40 feet.
So that gives me 20 feet
of climbing movement.
So with that, so with
the first attack of me,
essentially like throwing
the grappling hook up there
and then jumping off at the swing
and climbing, that gets
me up to where Clive is.
As soon as I see that the
spirits kind of begin to emerge
from the mast behind me and swirl
and as I looked down into
his eyes is all the momentum
of us swinging in his direction, I go,
well, walk the plant you
shall, you f*cking b*stard.
I'm gonna attempt to just kick 'em
off the rest of the balcony.
- You guys see Jack Brakkow
- full swashbuckler -
come up the side of the
wall, running along a split.
You guys just all like
Sunny, you collapsed there,
Bob and Cheese, you see a little,
through the storm, a grappling hook
that goes taut, movemovemove-HOO!
And Jack appears boom, on the balcony.
You, I believe yeah, you
had your second attack.
- I'm in a bonus action rage.
because I am furious right now,
but I have the rope still
there for a Myrtle to utilize
if she wants to try and get
all the way to the roof.
And with that, kind of dropping
Myrtle off onto the balcony
and using that momentum, as she
swings off to grab the mast.
And with a full on back swing full arc,
bring it to make a shove
attack against Clive
and basically, baseball bat swing him
off of the balcony into the open storm.
- Yes.
- Reckless.
- Okay.
- Well I guess stuff like this.
I'd reckless, wouldn't
matter for this one.
It's more of an athletics check, but...
- Copy that.
Okay, this is so cinematic.
Here's the issue.
As I have said numerous times,
and we've established numerous times.
The Ramble is on the very edge
of the neighborhood of Crow's Keep.
Now, we need to make a roll
here for a couple of things
as a result of that.
- Mmh.
- There is a very hefty chance.
No, wait a minute.
I've already established that this balcony
is the one with Jane Wren.
This is the one looking
out over Leviathan.
It doesn't look out over Crow's Keep.
It looks out over the full city.
So this is not like you're
kicking him to fall 11 stories.
This is not an 11 story drop
to the street in Crow's Keep
this is a three quarter of a mile drop
to the neighborhood of Mast Hearth below.
- Dive.
- I will burn my entire turn,
just to help with guidance for this place.
- And I will give my entire
turn if it can be poop city.
- If I roll far enough
and the winds are with us.
- Okay, Okay.
Myrtle, you are next in
the initiative order.
I will let you jump your
turn to go at the same time.
I will let you Jack go simultaneously
if you want to throw
guidance on top of this.
- Yeah, a guidance or
help action, either one.
I just-
- Jack's already got advantage
from being in a rage.
- In a rage.
- Okay then yeah, guidance.
- Guidance, all right.
- I just would like lean into his ear
as we both sort of see Clive same time.
And you hear like rumbling low water.
And like her voice turns
into Alamaria's voice
and she's says, "destroy him."
- Okay, I'm gonna give you
the number to beat Matt.
- Yes.
- I'm gonna roll right now.
Hold on.
That is a 14 Clive has a
plus nine to athletics.
He's a powerful warrior,
so that is a 23 athletics.
Let's go ahead and roll guidance first
so we know the number you're
trying to beat on D 20.
- Nope, the correct side,
all right, that's a three.
Showing here,
keeping it real, keeping it real.
- Okay.
- Alright.
- So with your athletics,
what you need to roll
plus it, you need to roll a 13 or higher
on one of these two dice.
- First one-
- Can I get bodics inspiration.
- The second one.
- Second roll was a two,
but the first one was a 14.
- Yes.
- Oh, my God.
- As Myrtle whispers that dark
amberly command into my ear
and that one brief moment as time slows
kind of glancing off to the
side, Jack says, "as you wish."
And then with immediate ramp up speed
and just slam him with all the strength
of the vengeance of every spirit
that swirls around the mast
to break at that point of impact.
It's not just me hitting him.
It's me and every member of
that crew that lost their life,
hitting him in the back.
- Hey.
He's walking the f*cking plank.
He falls into endless storm.
- Oh, my God.
- As Clive banished to the darkness,
Jack, you hit him so hard.
He takes a chunk of railing out with him.
You see, Tulwar even looks and goes,
"we're just up at railing."
You watch the rain form
into your triumphant crew.
Following behind him,
pushing him further and further.
Jack, Jack!
He hits the neighborhood of mast hearth,
three quarters of mile below.
And that little extra guidance takes him
through the first deck,
the deck beneath that,
the deck beneath that, all the way down.
And the second visage of a goddess
we've seen smiling from a thought.
Myrtle, you hear, "oh,
child you've done so well."
And Clive goes, straight to
the bottom of the briony deep.
- Oh, my God.
- Just works out baby.
- Love it, I love it when it does.
That's my turn m*rder me, still got-
- Thank you all for tuning in
like some other stuff happens,
it's fine, but for Clive though, right?
That's what we can all
agree on, f*ck life.
- Staggering movement
you've only done your, so.
- Yeah, Myrtle if you can-
- Spaulding.
- Yeah, let's do our best
to get up to the top.
I wanna try to get as close to this,
like where the big receiver is.
- Awesome.
- As I can.
- It's only 10 feet.
I think at this point Myrtle,
like you're little like
water bubble chariot
has like kind of, it's
not serving you anymore.
And it's all slick with rainwater here.
So you're even kind of still
feeling alive and vibrant.
It's 10 feet of rope, so,
but so like even with half
moon for difficult terrain,
you can get to the lip of the roof,
to see what's going on at the top.
- Yeah, let's get a PQ peak.
- So you see Myrtle
like almost serpentine,
like slithers up to the roof.
You're up there looking,
you see the storm druid
Alamaria, is at the top.
She is surrounded by misty
crackling with electricity
skeletons, these sort
of undead storm warriors
that surround her on all sides.
You see that she,
there are a couple other soldiers up here.
You also see in the rain is
Langley up here on the roof,
looking a little bit, it's like,
you know, even I know that
I'm gonna make a lot of money,
but this does feel like out
of my element a little bit.
I mean, when I heard the occult stuff
could make me a pretty
piece froid I was into it.
But this, this is wild.
- But you're heavy in a yellow rain jacket
with galoshes on
just like on the roof.
- Like what, a cutie.
- You see these skeletons,
Alamaria is holding the daughter
of the storm in her hands.
She is holding the
stone tablet in her hand
and over the very top of the
roof, you see the minaret,
you see that the exposed top
of this first thing here.
Awesome.
Bum, bum that's your movement,
but you are certainly
spotted in this moment.
Incredible Jack, Myrtle, what
a turn, Marcid that is you.
- So in this room,
if I were to use my two attack
actions to basically grapple
the furniture, could I move it,
so the pirates could get in?
- Yeah, that's just gonna
be two athletics checks.
I think, we're just gonna call.
Yeah, this is a-
- Actually, being who I am,
I would like to do this
slightly differently.
I come out of the darkness,
is it three or two left?
- There are-
- I think there's three.
- There are three left in the room, yes.
- Right, I come out.
I've already rolled slavishly
m*rder*d a third bloke,
for 22 points of damage.
And then I come up behind the third one
and put the sword to his neck too
but in his ear I whisper, "move
the furniture, let them in."
- Go ahead and give me
intimidate with advantage.
- 17.
- 17?
- Mmh.
You hear the Elven voice say,
"very well, is there a
specific place in the room,
you would like the
furniture against the wall,
flush to the bookshelf by the fire place?"
- Out of the way of the door.
- Very good.
Heath, chop, chop, the
gentleman who we can't see
would like the furniture
away from the door.
And then you see these two elves rush,
scatter the furniture away.
The door opens and-
- I want to use my movement
to move back towards
the bookshelf in case
it's just b*ll*ts
- Yeah, a couple of b*ll*ts firing.
You see a tiny little halfling woman
dressed in like, a black
Victorian widow's gown,
like high white collar, all black dress,
black tricorn, has two
bloodsoaked scimitars
but it's like a tiny little
round-faced halfling woman.
You see, she walks in and says,
"all right enough mucking about in here!
"Oh, Marcid the Typhoon, hello."
You recognize this as a Cathilda the Black
who's been temporarily
in Leviathan helping
restore the Ramble.
She was part of Bill Seacaster's crew
and has recently been
inducted into the new Ramble,
as a new elder of what the pirate council.
She goes," oh, Marcid,
did you get them to move
the furniture in here my love?
- I did, I had to negotiate aggressively
motioning towards the dead people
on the floor.
I'm like, I need your help mum,
I need to get into the attic.
- She looks and says, "down your left,
two doors past the smoking room,
it's a pull down staircase,
a pull down staircase."
- I realized they're fighting on the roof,
but I'm heading into the attic.
- Copy that.
You see, yeah, she
laughs and goes
looking at the three she says,
"you always did drive
a hard bargain Marcid."
The two elves go like,
"all right, good, we surrender."
And she says, "You
surrender? We're pirates!"
And just stabs him into the stomach.
- The hardest bargain, mum.
- You dip out with the
rest of your movement
for that turn and sh**t
down the hall way, awesome.
Coming up next.
That goes back to Bob's turn.
- Not bump, bump, bump.
So, is everyone down on the
inside, all of those guys?
- Yes, the people in
your party that are down.
So, Clive is gone, the
soldiers look horrified.
There are-
- Whose that guy?
- There are still six soldiers.
Three of them are still
restrained by those
animated swords and daggers.
Another three are up and firing.
Sunny is injured, Tulwar is very injured,
but yes, so that's sort of
the lay of the land right now.
And the soldiers are
uninjured at the moment.
- Well, I can't figure out how to work it,
but I'd like to take out my crossbow.
And so are the three
gentlemen connected together?
- The three gentlemen are
sort of all contiguous.
They're all next to each other, yeah.
- So I'd like to make sure
that the arrow connects
the three of them.
- It's called the shish
kebab, have you heard of it?
- Hell yes.
- That's what Cheese is gonna call it.
- Shish kebab?
- Newest single from
Bob, "The Shish Kebab."
- Okay.
- Cool, let me know - is this an attack?
Are you attacking with a crossbow
or are you using any spells
or magical abilities here?
- I just wanna use the crossbow.
- Go for it, give me an attack roll.
- Love me.
- What'd you get?
- That's plus five, that is a 27.
- Wait, plus five is a 27?
- No, 25.
- Wait, did you roll in that 20?
- Yes I did.
- Incredible.
- That was the spark.
- I truly cannot believe that,
I was gonna say, I was like, man,
if you rolled a 22 on a 20 sided dice
- It's Schroedinger's dice, it's not a 22,
just don't look at it.
- No, my lucky day.
- Bob could.
- I'm gonna go ahead
and actually say that,
we'll just do the damage from
your guiding bolt on this,
which on a Nat 20 becomes eight D6.
- Yes.
- Yes.
- Get it.
That is 21.
- 21 damage.
You see the three soldiers
that are up firing.
Look at you, you pull a crossbow
made of pure scintillating
light into your hand.
You see, they go,
"where was she keeping a crossbow?
She's wearing a gown."
And then that guy
through the eye, just
like sparkles and stars,
making twee little musical notes,
explode with chunks of gore and blood
out of the back of his skull, boom.
One of the three is dead as a doornail.
You still have a bonus actually.
- Then I'm gonna go after the next one
with my little stabbin' rapier.
With my dagger.
- Hell yeah, cool.
You rush in, go to church with the dagger.
Go ahead and roll and attack roll.
- 15 plus five, 20, dirty.
- Dirty 20 cool, this is
just gonna be a flat one D4.
- Two.
- Two, you slashed
across his face for two.
Bob is now in the room.
Next in the order is Cheese.
- Cheese here, I'm gonna
try, like at first he thought
he was gonna go up through the attic,
but after they cast sanctuary on him,
he's feeling pretty good.
And he's gonna try to scale that roof
and try to get up there
to grab the device.
- Hell yeah.
Cheese, you rush up
there, use half movement.
Myrtle, as you like get
to the edge of the roof,
you see Cheese, comes
up the rope behind you,
Cheese, you've used your movement
and you can see the gathered people
up at the top of the roof.
- Do they see me or are their backs to me
or are they facing me?
- They're facing you so that they see
that people are joining
them up here on the roof.
They're they're looking at
you and Myrtle directly.
- Okay, how close are they to the device?
Are they like right under it or?
- They're around it, doing this ritual.
- Okay.
I want to cast shatter on them.
Cheese calls it "The Bad Ear."
- Hell yes.
- So let's see.
- And it is a 15 with a,
does it have a con, yeah.
A con of 15.
- A con of, consave of 15.
- Consave of 15, yeah, and
then the damage will be 15.
- Wow, okay.
Alamaria fails her constitution save,
succeeds on the concentration,
she is holding on this ritual,
Langley succeeds, he takes half damage
which is gonna be seven.
And then these sort of
skeletons all around them
they've got about like 12
of these skeletons up here.
One, two, three.
What does this spell look
like, as Cheese casts it?
- Yeah, so Cheese has used his like yo-yo
to kind of climb up,
like watching Jack go up
with like his grappling hook.
He's just like, where does
he get those wonderful toys?
And then he throws his yo-yo up
and he like starts pulling himself up.
He gets up there, he like walks the dog,
like cat's cradle it and
then like zips it out.
And then all you hear is
the sound of the spinning, just go like,
it just gets louder and
louder until it like
pops in their head.
- You see the six - half the skeletons
fully shatter, their
bones are rent asunder
by the sonic vibrations of your yoyo,
both Alamaria and Langley step back,
clutching their ears.
The other six skeletons
look totally like mangled,
a bunch of ribs and stuff fall out.
One's like hopping on one leg,
sort of lightning skeleton.
And I also am going to make a roll,
actually Cheese go ahead,
and I want you to make
a saving throw for something.
And I'll tell you what it is,
if it fails, so go ahead.
This thing is trying to get
for 15, it's trying to
get an 11 or higher.
Let me know if you roll an 11 or higher.
- On what type of save?
- Just on a D 20, roll flat D 20
let me know if you get an 11 or higher.
- Okay, gotcha.
Roll.
13.
- Okay, this object saved.
You see,
but you can tell that the
spell has a potential to weaken
the architectural structure
of the building underneath it.
And you see some of the
reinforcements protecting the lamp
come undone under the shatter.
That is Cheeses turned any
bonus actions from you?
- No.
- Cool, oh boy, here's the big one.
I am going to need Myrtle
and Cheese to give me
dexterity saving throws.
- Cool, okay.
- Seven.
- Oops.
- Ten and seven.
- I don't like the way you say that,
I know.
- Not enjoying it sir.
- That's so many dice.
- Nope.
- Roll to disbelieve.
- It's all of them, he rolled all of them.
- 13, 14.
- Too bad, the warding bond
don't go both ways, love.
- Even if it doesn't, you're about to feel
this f*ck drop off in a sec.
- Has anybody noticed
he's counting ominously.
- You see Alamaria, turns to you and says,
"your presence at the reunion of our King
with his daughter is unwelcomed."
She breathes a cone of lightning.
And each of you takes, 37
points of lightning damage.
- Oh my God, yeah.
Cheese has knocked the hell out.
- No, buddy... Myrtle still up though.
- Awesome
Myrtle, you take a full
load of lightning damage
and Cheese, I'm gonna go ahead and say,
Cheese, roll another
flat luck check for me.
Just D20, you want an 11 or higher here.
- Okay.
And... ooh, twoooo...
- Myrtle?
you see Cheese is blown off the roof,
sailing over the balcony
from the force of this lightning.
Let me ask Myrtle something,
seeing Cheese take off over the edge,
he's been struck by this lightning,
he's sailing off into the storm,
what, is in Myrtle's
heart, as she sees this?
- She wants to get to that stupid-
She has everything she
needs and she's not scared
of Alamaria at all, but Cheese is...
Reminds her so much of Rory and the secret
part of her heart, that she
will never ever show anyone.
So what can I do?
I immediately turn to make
sure he doesn't get hurt.
- Go ahead and just
give me an attack roll.
This is just strength plus proficiency.
So just, you're just adding plus five.
You're trying to hit
Cheesse's armor class.
- Okay, at 24
and natural 19.
- Alamaria means to destroy you.
Cheese, you're hit.
And Cheese as you fly
into unconsciousness,
all you can think to yourself is,
"I couldn't get it done and
Spaulding is still out there."
And a clawed hand grabs
the front of your coat.
Myrtle is extending herself
a full, like 12 feet
into the air with just the tip of her fin
wrapped around the
figurehead of Jane Wren,
reaching the storm and grabs
Cheese - hup - and still alive
you're holding Cheese against you.
Sweet.
- ... standing.
That is the right call there.
- Just pictured Cheese floating like
that scene in Spider-Verse.
Like "What's Up, Danger?"
playing in the background.
- Yeah.
- As you grab him and settle there,
you watch Langley...
looks at Alamaria, she looks at him,
he hears something, looks down and says,
"I'm going to check on the
lamp, if that's all right."
And you see Langley dips
down like through a little,
like goes on this side,
dips down into the attic.
And the skeletons charge you, Myrtle.
There are six left.
- Cool, tight tight tight.
- Tight.
- Tight.
- Hi, that's pretty fine-
- Me just vibing with my six hit points.
- Let's go.
- There's six of them,
Myrtle's armor class is 17,
right?
- Yeah.
Also without warding bond,
like please don't trip and
fall Marcid, I will die.
- I just actually-
- Am kind of about to fight a dude, so.
- I actually, I just need to show,
I don't wanna mess up my camera.
Hold on, I'm going to take
a picture with my phone.
I just rolled these attacks.
- Is it all ones?
Be all ones.
- All twenties.
- It's a three, a six, a four,
a five, and only one hits.
I'm gonna roll damage now.
They were all emojis, like.
- I don't know how that happened.
- That the wind keeps whipping
up & blowing their swords
- Only one of these sort of
lightning skeletons gets to you,
slashes you for five points of damage.
Ohhhh!
- The only hit point that matters
is the last one, let's go.
- I appreciate, I am super gonna get hit
and be like, it's just a
scratch, and you like, ah.
- Incredible, the soldiers that are left
in the deck, soldiers
that are left inside.
Three of them are gonna
make attempts to escape.
They all do.
Now there's five standing
but only two of them have attacks to make.
One's going to attack Bob, hits,
the other is going to attack Sunny
with advantage because Sunny is prone.
And actually misses, Sunny
you get your shield up in time
to protect Tulwar.
Bob, you take nine points of damage
from one of them slashing at you.
You see the first two harpies descend
and clutch the top of the minaret.
There are still others higher above
and more certainly around closer.
Some of them begin to just sort of like
attack Crow's Keep itself.
More of them are descending
faster and faster.
Sunny, that's gonna be you.
- Okay, so you said three of
the soldiers ran out the door.
They just peaced out, so-
- No, they got out of the
like swords and daggers
holding them to the floor.
So now there's one dead soldier in here.
Five more active and alive.
- Oh, man.
I wish I had something
to wipe these guys out.
Quicker, faster.
- You do, it's called a sword.
- Okay.
How is Tulwar looking by the way?
Is he looking like he's gonna
start rolling death saves
or is he still a little conscious?
- He looks like he is
prone, but conscious.
- Okay.
Okay, I'm gonna go ahead and get up
and just extremely pissed off
start going to town on these soldiers.
- You see as right before you get up,
Tulwar is actually gonna insert himself
into the initiative order
here, he takes a seat,
you see, he goes,
"looks like you've made
some good friends."
Again, very old and infirm,
grabs a treasure chest
and picks it up in one hand,
smashes it to splinters against the wall
and just a bunch of treasure
is scattered over the floor.
Magical objects, bunch of
potions and crazy sh*t.
He goes, we keep these stuff around,
just in case of rainy days.
- You're the best.
- He grabs your weapon, rips the hook off,
slaps a ruby encrusted
silver hook on the top of it
and says, "I feel, uh,
is that Harrow's hook
or Harron's hook?'
There's two magic hooks in here somewhere.
It's a magic hook.
You have Harrow's hook
on the end of your stick.
It is plus one to attack and damage.
And as Harrow was a servant of Jane Wren
allows you to re-roll ones
and twos on your smite dice.
Hell yeah, go for it.
- Okay.
Let's go.
I go for the guy that, Bob has
already sliced his face open.
That is a natural 18
plus my, now plus one,
so natural 19... 26.
- 26 gets the job done, absolutely.
- Okay.
Rolling damage for this guy.
Well, that was two, wait,
well I hit - divine smite, let's do this.
Hell yes.
There was a five, sorry
six damage initially.
And then let me do two D8
here where my D8s are hiding.
Okay, I could re-roll twos.
This is the best,
11, 11 damage.
- 11, okay, you and also plus one
because of the hook
gets you to exactly 18.
You, just get behind this guy's throat
and pull it out - dead.
That's your first attack,
you have one more.
- I go for the other guy.
- Yeah, Tulwar is like
on the ground going,
Yes! Get crazy, this is exactly right.
Let the bloodlust flow!
- Stupid pirates.
Oh man, let's see that's
not great, that's not great.
Five plus seven is 13.
- That does hit.
- Okay, thank God, these
guys are weaklings.
Okay, that is another eight
on the damage die plus four,
which is 12 plus one for
the damage, so 13 damage.
And I'm going to divine smite him again.
- Hell yeah.
- That was a six and
a seven, so 13 damage.
- Sunny leaps off of Tulwar.
You grab another guy, a hook on a stick.
Gives you suprisement of leverage.
You like slide it into
a guy's rib and twist
and flip them upside down,
dead into the ground.
That is your turn, any
bonus action from Sunny?
- No, no, I'm gonna hold,
actually no, I can bonus action.
A shield that'll attack the other guy
and try and shove the other guy down.
- Yeah, go for it, make
an opposed athletics.
All you have to beat is a 10.
- Okay then, my athletics is pretty good.
Yep, 22 total - rolled a 15.
- Incredible, five guys
goes to three guys.
And one of those three guys get smashed
with a rum barrel lid
and goes sprawling prone
on the ground.
Sunny is a whirlwind, you
can see the treasure in here,
glittering and coming to life.
You are in front of a roaring fireplace,
surrounded by treasure, on
an island made of ships,
fighting soldiers of a merchant company.
You are a f*cking pirate!
- I'm a pirate!
- We will end our round here
with the last two people to go.
Normally Clive would go,
but Clive his way dead baby.
- He can't go, because he's gone.
- Jack, that's gonna be you.
- Okay, after watching him
vanish in impact in the distance,
there's that kind of, that wash of,
reverie and kind of closure that hits him.
And in that moment,
everything else kind of
disappears for a second.
And that all can hear is the storm
and the cracking of thunder.
And then suddenly he hears,
looks up and sees the blast of lightning
coming from the roof.
Watches Cheese, go flying and Myrtle
barely catching him and bringing him back.
And that moment goes like
there's still more to do.
Takes the mast in one hand,
grabs the rope and uses
half of his movement
to go the extra 10 feet climbing
up to get onto the rooftop.
And what does he see up there?
- Myrtle surrounded by six skeletons.
- That's all it's up there, okay?
- Yep.
- Oh, and sorry, Alamaria
with two harpies up
at the top of the roof.
- Yeah, also that
- Also that.
- How far is she away from me?
- I would say that she's about
30 feet of extremely difficult
terrain up above you.
- Yeah, I'm not getting there.
Then I'm gonna say,
all right, looks like you need
a little bit of help here.
And he's gonna go ahead
and just do a giant
and then you consider the two attacks
be one big swing to catch two
of the skeletons in one go.
- Hell yeah.
- Still raging, and he's gonna
go reckless with this, so.
- Hell yeah.
- The first one is gonna be.
- I hope it sounds like a xylophone.
- That is gonna be 24 on the first attack.
- That'll do it.
- Thank god I have reckless.
There'll be 15 on the second attack.
- Both attacks hit.
- Okay, so the first one is, not too bad.
That was two plus rage.
That's 14 points of bludgeoning
damage on the first hit.
And does he survive?
- Nope, all of these people
survived saves for half against Cheese.
So you see, they're
like hopping on one leg,
missing some ribs, you go through this guy
like butter, baby.
- Yeah, and the second one is
16 points of bludgeoning damage.
- Myrtle, Jack joins you on the steep,
slick rain soaked roof.
And, swings the mast by,
it sounds like a strike in bowling.
Just a bunch of bones go
flying everywhere
And Jack, that is your turn.
- That is my turn.
- Myrtle, there's still four skeletons
and you have unconscious Cheese
making death saves in your arms.
- Yeah, I think there's
this moment of like,
after she grabbed him,
everything kind of goes
into b*llet time for her
and she sees Jack, jump up and join her.
And then she looks down at Cheese
and looks up at the skeletons,
and she can feel through the warding bond
that like, not to like.
She can feel the heartbeat
of Marcid increase
like he's about to get into another fight,
and she has one action and can't deal
with all three of these things.
So, she looks down and
realizes that the wisest thing
to do right now is get this
little genius to the object.
So I'm gonna use my action
to cast, cure wounds.
At third level - second
level, just in case.
- Don't worry, I don't
plan on getting hit, love.
It's gonna be fine.
- None of us ever do,
but thank you so much.
Yeah, go ahead and take back 17 points.
- Cheese, you vomit salt, water and blood.
- And I think she wants like,
the moment, he like kind of comes to,
she like puts them on
his feet and pushes him
in the direction of like
where the area was clear.
And then looks at Jack and says,
"get him to it, keep him safe."
- Right, right.
- Awesome.
Jack, you stand over
Cheese, thunder strikes.
Cheese you're, where are you standing
you see the object, the harpies, Alamaria.
You look, Myrtle, at the
skeleton surrounding you.
You're badly injured,
back below in the room
with Tulwar, Bob and Sunny
stand with these one prone
and another two soldiers left in here.
And Marcid, you crawl up
the ladder into the darkness
as you hear someone else
joining you in the attic.
The fate of Leviathan
hangs in the balance,
and that's where we have
to leave off for this.
The penultimate episode,
The Pirates of Leviathan,
tune in next week
for the thrilling conclusion.
