06x06 - The Horizon Beyond the Squall

Post by bunniefuu »

- Hello one and all,

and welcome to the thrilling conclusion

of Dimension 20's, Pirates of Leviathan.

I am your humble dungeon
master Brennan Lee Mulligan,

with me as always are
our Buccaneer Buddies.

Say hi Buccaneer Buddies.

- Hi Buccaneer Buddies.

- Oh, perfect.

Last we left off our piratical pals,

they were atop the Ramble,

the giant tavern that overlooks all

of the facets of Leviathan,

where the elders of the pirate folk gather

to share their tales
and stories of the code,

and days gone by.

On the balcony underneath the visage

of Jane Wren's figure head,

in the room of Tulwar Zuhari-Royce

and all of his vast treasures,

beneath the minaret of
the copper infernal lamp

at the top of the roof under the storm,

of the Storm King coming
to reclaim his daughter,

we left our companions in pitched combat.

We have on the balcony having just sent

his traitorous first mate to a briny death

at the bottom of the sea Jack Brakkow,

who leapt to the roof,
crushed two skeletons

and got Cheese underneath his protection.

Cheese has just vomited
a bunch of salt water

after shattering skeletons
with a magic yo-yo,

and seeing the top of the
infernal lamp in his sight,

two harpies to either side,

and Alamaria, druid of the Storm King

and keeper of the stone tablet

bearing the daughter of the
storm stands before you.

Just to their side, surrounded
by the remaining skeletons

is Myrtle, the b*tch of the deep,

here with divine wrath on her mind,

working on behalf of
her mistress Umberlee.

Directly beneath you on the
roof inside of the chamber,

dealing with the few remaining soldiers

of the Crescent Moon Trading
Company are Sunny Biscotto,

dealing death on behalf of
the Goddess of the Horizon

and Barbarella Sasparilla
Gainglynn, AKA Bob,

with a scintillating gown
and even more scintillating

crossbow made of light, both finishing up

those who would have saw it to destroy

Sunny's mentor Tulwar.

And not too far away in
an attic put together

with tons of rafters, shadows, dust,

sawdust on the floor
is Marcid the Typhoon,

slinking through the
darkness towards the shape

of monsieur Langley Sheffield-Harrington,

his former employer.

Thunder rolls, Alamaria
has not lost concentration

on this ritual.

But our heroes are still standing.

The moment is fast
approaching for our pirates

to save the city of Leviathan.

And with that, we leap
directly back into initiative.

- So we all took a long rest

and I get all my hit points back, right?

- Yeah, not that's what I
felt happened between there,

we just like take a little siesta, yeah.

- I'm just at the one, just the one?

- You only need the one
darlin', you only need the one.

- Cool, please don't get hit, thank you.

- I told yah, I don't plan too.

- Marcid.
- Aye.

- You are slinking through the shadows.

This attic is clearly not
intended as a storage space.

It really is more about just
containing the wooden structure

to hold the sort of slanted roof aloft.

So there's very few places where you can

run straight away because
there is diagonal wooden slats

connected to large wooden columns.

- Right.

- You are slinking through the dark here,

your long bugbear arms moving
you through the darkness.

You can see there is a small
15 foot by 15 foot square

directly under the pinnacle of the roof.

It's about 40 feet away
from you right now,

through this kind of difficult terrain.

- Right, well, couple
of things there mate.

Let me ask you a question.

Since this is my favorite terrain,

I'm not supposed to have
any difficult terrain,

is that true, or still
gonna slow me down a little?

- f*ck me Rangers, yeah,
yeah you're golden man.

- You mentioned earlier my man Cheese

did some structural damage, do
I see that anywhere in here?

I didn't see him do it, but
can I tell anything is broken?

- You see there is a chimney in the center

of that 15 foot by 15 foot clearing,

and in fact there are
another couple chimneys,

brick structures coming up here to meet

the top of the roof.

This chimney is bullshit and
the shadow spell broke it.

Hey put it on my gravestone,
this chimney is bullshit.

- This chimney, along with sleeves right?

- You've never seen someone being this mad

at a chimney before.

But red infernal light
gleams through the cracks

where Cheeses spell hit it.

Clearly this is a brick
casing for the infernal lamp

to hide it within the attic here.

- So here's what I would like to do,

as a 24 on me stealth to
come snaking in by the way.

I realize, everybody thinks I'm gonna come

and just do stabby m*rder, and I am.

But one other thing about bugbears

is we's big and strong.

So I want to grab either this chimney

or something that looks
structurally significant

and break it.

I want to break the roof,

so the machine falls down from the roof.

That is my goal.

- Hell yeah.

- As a bugbear, I count as large

'cause I'm powerfully built

so I can move a thousand pounds.

And so I just need to
find the right place.

and I have a thing I wanna do, if I can.

- Let me go ahead, this has already taken

15 points of damage, no sorry.

This has taken seven points
of damage 'cause it's saved,

but shatter deals twice
as much damage to objects,

so yeah 15.

So it's partially cracked,
you're looking at it,

but give me a perception check.

- Hmm, 18.

- Hell yes, with an 18 you see
the light breaking through.

See the light breaking
through the brick wall.

- Right.
- On an 18

you hear someone else in
the attic here with you.

But you cannot see them, you
think maybe they can't see you,

but you can't see them.

You would have to damage
this a little bit more.

You don't think that
this thing necessarily

is going to be easy to destroy.

In other words, it's going to have,

it's suffered some damage already,

which means that it won't
need that much more damage,

but it's gonna have a high armor class

and it's going to have
a high damage threshold.

- But I, I can't just
grab it and bulldog it.

Like, I mean, 'cause I'm-

- No it's fully sealed in a
brick chimney, it's cracked,

but you've got to like smash
through these bricks to get it.

- New plan.

Presumably I cannot hunters
mark an inanimate object,

I assume.

- Correct.

- Okay right.

Well then even though-

- What are you hunting? Chimneys.

- Chimneys.

- His father got stuck in one.

Dressed as Santa one
Christmas, you've seen Gremlins.

- I realize there's someone
else in here with me.

Well what's the, the lowest I got

was the dirty 20 to attack.

Do I need more than that?

- You do not need more than that.

- Right, okay.

Then in that case I do.

- And let me
know how much damage

you do for each attack.

- So the first one is going to be 10.

- Okay.

- The second one is going to be 12.

- Okay.

- The third one is going to be 10 again.

As I essentially explode
out of the darkness,

start bashing on that,

trying to get it to break open.

Expressly my goal is I
want the machine to fall.

Even if that means that it
comes down over my head,

I'll try and get out of the way of it.

But I figure away from the
Druid people is optimal.

So overtly I'm trying
to get it to come down.

- Hell yeah.

You rush this thing.

You've never tried to m*rder a
piece of architecture before,

but-

- Does Jack's wall count?

- That's true actually, God I'm wrong,

you have m*rder*d architecture
canonically within game.

- That was so long ago.

- This, I'm not gonna lie

is enough damage to normally demolish

how many hit points this has left.

Unfortunately, this thing
has a damaged threshold

of exactly 10, which means
that 12 points of damage

in the second attack goes through.

You slam, slam, a bunch
of the bricks fall down,

revealing this lamp structure,

revealing the lamp in front of you.

You now see it, you could
get your hands on it,

but you've used your three attacks.

- Right?

- Is there anything else
from Marcid that turn?

- That is two attacks
and a bonus, so that is,

I don't even yell, I figure if my friends

are either gonna figure
this out on their own

or they're otherwise occupied.

So just-
- Hell yeah, man.

- Task in hand.

I will take the time to
try and inform Stimey

about what I've done.

I'm like Stimey I'm taking out the device.

- Well, very good sir, congratulations.

You show that chimney
who's boss,

- Maybe you could set up camp here buddy,

it might be a nicer environment for you.

- Well, that depends on what
the lady Alycon prefers.

Oh, I'm so sorry, that's very-

- I'm definitely a bonus,

like apparently there's
some infernal charm

from this device, and it's
taking me straight to hell now.

- You see, tale as old as
time, a trident falling

in love with a wall full of mold.

Cool, Stimey communicates
everyone else and says,

Hey there everyone, just to let you know,

Master Marcid has found
himself in the attic

and he's goin' after a
chimney something fierce.

Looks like there's some
kind of lantern in it.

So you know where Marcid is, and what,

loosely what he's up too.

Next in the initiative order is Bob.

- So I just have a question.

The two big, bad guys
are on the roof, right?

Like a little bit up from me.

- Yes. You see in here Tulwar looks okay,

and Sunny is kicking the
sh*t out of the soldiers

who are left in here.

The last you saw, there
were two big villains

on the roof, yes.

- Are there still two
villains on the roof?

- Well, you would have to go investigate,

but you would know that Langley,
I mean, out of character,

Langley left the roof and
Alamaria is still up there

doing the ritual.

- Okay.

So I'd like to make my
way out to the balcony

so that, or whatever gets me
within 120 feet of Alamaria.

- Yes, you go out to the balcony

and do you need line of sight?

You need to be able to
see her for this to work?

- No.
- Okay.

You go out to the balcony.

- Oh fantastic.

So you start to see my musical notes

come out of my fingers on both hands,

and then out of all of my fingers.

And I would like to let my bolt
go towards Alamaria's temple.

- Oh, baby, go ahead and
roll your attack roll.

- That's 15.

24.

- 24, that is a definite hit.

Go ahead and roll four D6.

- Oh, I'm rolling in at third level.

- Oh, you don't say.

- I do

28.

- Oh my God, you see,

Bob, you whoosh, with
your radiant wings fly up,

and again on the other side of the Sky,

a break in the storm clouds.

And though we see the sun all the way

towards the Western sky, from that place

where the wind broke through

to show Sunny the horizon,
the far Eastern sky

as the sun is setting
starlight breaks through

from the nighttime sky approaching,

and your musical notes, shine
with the light of the stars.

And you feel from far, far away,

a distant kiss being blown to
you from heavenly skies above.

Accompanying that, brutal
gore as your musical notes

flash forward and,

Alamaria is going to roll.

- Oh, oh bonus action, bonus action.

- Go for it.

- Hold on. Give me 2.5 seconds.

- Okay.

I would also like to say, oh no you don't,

and I would like to cast cutting word.

- Yeah, cutting word.

You use bardic inspiration
to do cutting words to her.

Okay, hold on one second.
I'm going to roll this save.

She took 24 points of damage,
so she needs a 12 or higher.

We're gonna roll her
constitution save right now.

Okay.

She got a 17.

- That's a 12, subtract five.

- Cutting words take it away.

- Okay, take away five, take
away five from 18, that is-

- 17.

- 17, take away from 17, that is 12,

which is exactly what
she needs to pass, oh no.

You, but what does Bob
say with her cutting words

to Alamaria as Alamaria looks up at her?

Listen,

- Alamaria looks looks
up at you for a moment

and goes like, you wrote a whole
song just to be mean to me?

And then goes, my spell,
grabs the concentration,

keep your head in the game Alamaria,

we're returning the
daughter to the Storm King,

stay with it.

Incredible turn from
Bob, huge guiding bolt,

and importantly, we
see that Bob's radiance

is surrounding Alamaria giving advantage

on the next attack roll against her.

Cheese, that is your turn.

- Cheese here.

So Cheese, God, for the
second time in less,

probably less than 24 hours,
he has been knocked out.

And for the second time
he has been brought back

by Queen Myrtle, the b*tch.

And after he throws
up, he looks behind him

and realizes like what has happened.

That he has been brought back once again

by Queen Myrtle, the b*tch,

and Cheese thinks to himself,

I'm no longer Cheese the Little,

the little gnome, I'm
Cheese, Prince b*tch.

He makes a beeline to Alamaria
and he wants to cast a spell

that he's been too afraid to ever cast.

When he learned it from a Milo and Winnie,

it was just labeled master
blaster on it with a skull,

a crudely drawn skull
and crossbones on it.

He's going to cast fireball on Alamaria.

- As you begin to sprint
up the deck of the ship,

you're short legs, you're
struggling to crawl,

it's difficult terrain,
the rain's coming down.

You're struggling, you're struggling.

You see Alamaria looks, as
you sprint away from Jack,

she looks at you with familiarity.

She goes, oh, a darling
little forest gnome.

We have one looks just like you back home.

I think you'd be a nice
addition to our collection.

And you see she recognizes
your brother's face on you.

- Oh, that is not good.

Cheese, yeah,

31 points of damage.

Cheese is pissed off.

And finally has found, like
tapped into that anger.

And like it doesn't need to
be like pure rage like Jack,

or anger like Marcid, it can
be sad at the same time,

Cheese has tapped into
whatever those feelings are

that you feel at all times,

'cause it doesn't need to be pure.

And he's just like, you know what?

And like the fireball
is starting to build,

like that sound of

starts building in his hands.

And he's just like, you know what.

I let fear rule me my entire life.

Fear of being too small,
too scrawny, too soft.

It's inflicted every part of
my life and it's dominated me.

It has been my king, but
there are no kings here.

No kings for this captain.

- Raging fireball shoots
out across the deck.

We're gonna roll some saving throws g*ng.

This one, let's go harpy number one.

Three is not gonna do
it, neither is a nine.

And now we're going to go Alamaria.

Let's see here, okay.

On a natural seven she fails

and takes the full 31 points of damage.

You see both harpies
take flight right at you.

For a moment Cheese's shadow blasts across

the back of the roof,
scattered over the city.

Your coat whips out behind you
as the blast of heat and wind

consumes the top, and for a moment,

the fire is hot enough
that in the soaking rain,

the front of your coat is dry

and your face is hot with the fire, boom.

Both harpies are gone in a screech

of charred bone and feathers.

Alamaria is flung back, her
magic wrapping around her

to keep her alive.

She still stands, but we
are going to make the roll

of all rolls now which is
her concentration check,

31 points of damage, 15 she's
got a roll 13 or higher.

Fire surrounds her, your trapper
keeper flatter in the wind,

your eyes light, you're
in the Lake of Fire again.

You're not just doing
magic, you are magic.

You are in magic, you were born to magic.

Magic is the road you travel
the rest of your life.

You are a true wizard.

Ripples across the storm clouds,

Alamaria loses concentration on the spell.

The harpies begin to vanish from the sky.

You have robbed her of
this union with her God,

and broken the spell, incredible.

- I feel like I was there.

- And now it is Alamaria's turn.

She cries out, just screams raw pain.

And she looks at you and says,

What have you done, what have you done.

She looks around and says fine, fine,

I will start the ritual again,
and finish you off first.

And she is going to cast call lightning.

As she calls on that lightning,

she is going to use a
higher level spell slot

to juice it up a little bit.

I'm going to need a dexterity
saving throw from Cheese.

- 20, not natural.

- 20, not natural.

Okay, so you save for
half, hold on one second.

- This is very derivative I have to say.

- Six, 18, she deals 25 points
of damage to you Cheese.

- So 12 damage?
- Oh yeah 12 damage.

Yes, yes, yes.
- Okay.

Cheese is still up.

The cheese stands alone.

- Good looking out with that higher level

cure wounds, Myrtle.

Cheese, you get struck by
lightning and still stand.

You see little like
spinning circles of runes

around your hand made of pure light

as you throw up some kind of charm

to stop the magic from working to you,

on you at full effect.

You got this baby!

She just goes what? You should be dead!

- Oh man she tried to make
me fondue, that's a fondon't.

- Oh my God.

In this moment of triumph and success,

we cut back to the attic.

Marcid, you have broken the chimney.

You hear footsteps behind you.

- Come on, then mate.

- First thing I'm going to need-

- My AC is currently 18.

- Awesome.

That is a hit, I'm gonna
need a strength saving throw

from Marcid.

- This is about to be
a problem by the way,

for another reason, that is an 18 also.

- Oh, trip attack.

You do not go down, but you
do take nine points of damage.

- Which is cut in half, which means-

- Let me, I just wanna
see something though,

is warding bond a
concentration spell Myrtle?

- It is not.
- It is not.

- Does it depend on you being-

- Within 60 feet.

- He's directly under me.

- Yes, under you, I also wanna make sure,

if the spell ends or if you
drop to zero hit points,

or if you and the target
become separated yes.

Okay, so you are not going to be m*rder*d

with failed death saving throws as Marcid

is further stabbed.

- Yeah.
- Uh huh.

- Copy that.

- But I do feel like
I feel the bond break,

and I'm like, no.

All you see, a jagged laceration
open over Myrtle's heart

as she collapses to the
roof at zero hit points.

You hear a voice behind you
with a dagger in your back

and you hear Langley say Marcid,

I thought that we got along so well.

And two more attacks are coming your way.

- Now my AC's 17 by the
way, since that broke.

- Copy that.

That's gonna be, oh my God.

Marcid takes further 28 points of damage.

- I'm all right. No problem.

- That's my Typhoon.

- As Langley flashes out
with his rapier twice.

Marcid, you've made life
so difficult for me.

What did I ever do to
you, other then frame you?

- Framing me for mass f*cking m*rder sir.

- Okay, you were handsomely paid.

Look, a contract is a contract

and the forgery is a part of the contract,

if you really think about it.

Look, I don't have time to get into it.

I just find this all
so tedious, don't you?

- Be right back with you mate.

- Myrtle drops and the
remaining four skeletons above

are all going to go for Jack.

- f*cking bring it.

- f*cking bring it.

Jack you take nine halved to four-

- Do note, they all have advantage

because I was reckless last turn.

- Copy that, let's see
if any of them gets a 20.

Those two don't, let's
see if these two hit.

That's another hit, thank
you for your honesty.

Seven halved to three,
seven halved to three,

nine halved to four, 10
damage all told to Jack.

All right, I just, as they're hitting me,

like I'm still focused on
Myrtle falling unconscious

there on the side.

And so it's very much that quiet moment

where the rain is still beating around us.

I'm still just taking the hits
without even noticing them

as I'm focused on her unconscious body.

- Yes, just focusing on Myrtle,

these skeletons lashing out.

Their little tricorn hats,
weird translucent, thunder.

You gaze at Myrtle, our
remaining soldiers downstairs,

one of them uses half
his movement to get up.

They're gonna take some attacks on Sunny,

who is still down here.

Two of them strike and hit for,

each of them dealing six
points of damage to Sunny.

How much is Sunny at right now?

- 15 hit points.

15, Marcid, how are you looking?

- Seven.

- Woo, we got some low
hit point totals here.

This would have been the harpies turn,

but the harpies are unsummoned baby,

how bad could that have been?

Sunny, that is your turn.

- Okay, so I have two soldiers.

- There are three
left in the room with you.

And also it looks like
Tulwar is now helping,

rummaging through the
magic items on the ground.

- Okay, so two soldiers and one of,

sorry, three soldiers and one of them

is knocked prone, correct?

- The prone one just got
up on his previous turn.

- Oh.

- But I believe you can
use your bonus action

to knock him prone again before
you take your attack action.

So you can get advantage on them.

- I'm going to do exactly that.

- Hell yeah.

- And that's in athletics.

- Yes.

And you've just got to beat a 14.

- Ooh, seven plus four is not that.

- You lay into him with your
shield, he does not go prone.

These are gonna be regular attacks.

- Dang it.

Okay.

First attack.

Oh man, that is terrible.

Even with the plus one that's 10 total.

- Oof, that's a miss on the first attack.

- Ah, next attack.

That's much better, 20 total.

- 20 hits.

- Lovely, okay.

And that's eight damage,
and I'm gonna go ahead

and might as well lay
in another divine smite.

- Hell yeah.

- Mark that, ah, ah, beautiful.

Seven and an eight for 15.

- Oh baby.

You lash out with your hook,

Catch this guy right in
the mouth, fish hook him.

Crack his head goes against
the mantle of the fireplace.

Dead.

Oh yeah, yes.

- I'm just gonna turn
to Tulwar and be like,

please just k*ll the other two, please.

- Tulwar is going to go and say,

all right, okay.

He sort of stands up, wobbles and says,

you two still in here, speak up.

And you see that one
of the guys goes, why?

And Tulwar uses the
sound of him saying why,

he's gonna to swing at disadvantage

but that's a 15 and a 14.

Whoo.

You see Tulwar sort of lunges forward,

and the guy goes why?

And Tulwar goes, there you are,

leans and claps his
hands on the guys head,

and that guy hits the deck.

Another one taken care of.

There's only one more left in here.

Tulwar looks at you and
says how many more are left?

- One, just one, he's
right in front of you.

- He says, I've got one, I've got one.

Sort of waves his hand, I can do one.

You're good, you're good.

- Are you sure?

- Yes, hey other fellow where are you?

And the other guy goes I hmm.

- I will use my movement

to then get to the roof with the others.

I'll go out and I'll
just fly up to the roof.

- You fly up to the
roof and just as you do

Jack, that's gonna be your term.

- And there are three skeletons on me?

- There were four that made attacks.

- Sorry four on me.

But she she's had her, the
rituals been interrupted.

I trust Cheese to finish this.

Myrtle's my,

you know what, you know what,

as long as the skeletons are there,

and the strength has faded a bit from me

in the frustration of this moment.

I'm going to be like, there's only so much

one force can do.

We need a priestess of a
storm for this to succeed.

And he's going to push
past the nearest skeleton

and attempts to make a medicine
check to revive Myrtle,

if that's possible.

- Absolutely.

Go ahead.

- I do have a healers kit, so
I don't know if that helps.

- Oh, awesome, so, okay.

So looking at the healers kit here,

the DC to restore one hit
point with that healers kit

is that 15 for that?

I'm trying to find the healers kit

information real quick here.

- Let me find it.

- 'Cause this would be pretty huge.

- Yeah.

- It doesn't say,

the kit has 10 uses as an action,

you can spend one use
to stabilize a creature

at zero hit points without
needing to make a medicine check.

That's the thing I see.

- Oh, I don't have the healers kit,

so it just stabilizes them.

- Yes, no worries.

- Healers kit, right?

- Yeah.

And you know what, if I can't
bring her back to conscious,

unless it's a natural,
oh what the f*ck is it?

- It's still Myrtle could still,

on a natural 20 pop back up.

But you know, I would say,

if you wanna give me a medicine check,

you have a healers kit.

Do you wanna give me a medicine check,

DC 10 can stabilize.

And I'll say, your wisdom is not ideal,

but I think DC 10 will stabilize.

I'll say DC 15 we will let Myrtle roll

to potentially come back, cool.

- Okay, so what was the DC again, it was-

- 10 to
stabilize, 15 to give Myrtle

a chance to come back.

- Okay.

Oh, this is literally my dump stat.

- Come on.

- This is all faith-based
here, worth a shot.

This is what D&Ds about.

I am, I am, this is.

I f*cking love this game.

So my dice, that is a natural f*cking 20,

I'm not even joking.

I haven't touched it, I'm gonna move my

so you can see.

I'm gonna move my, my.

I can't, I can't believe that!

- Matt, you've kicked your
nemesis off the balcony

and then hit a nat 20 to
bring your party cleric back.

Unbelievable.

Jack, you like swing
your mast onto your back,

as you drop to your knees.

You can feel these
skeletons, whaling into you,

you're trying to use the mast
to shield as much as possible,

but you're still taking the
blows raining down on you,

on your legs and arms,
you feel your old, tired

muscles tense up again, as
the rust beats into them.

You lean down, rip off a piece of gauze,

wrap it over Myrtle's chest.

You see the burns on her.

You reach in, grab something
and you see all those faces,

you look around you, your crew
appears behind the skeletons.

There were lives you couldn't save.

But that doesn't mean there
aren't still ones you can.

You press down onto Myrtle's chest,

Myrtle, your gills flair, saltwater.

You come back and Jack,
you're standing there,

and not only is this just
a common healers kit,

but this is something more.

And even though Jack may
just be a humble pirate,

maybe Jack is a little bit haunted

in a truer way after all,

as his eyes flicker with
mist and his connection

to those of the dead beckons
you back from the brink.

With one full hit point
as a reward on a nat 20.

Myrtle, you are not just stable,

you are back up in the fight.

Jack has hauled you back from the brink,

and you can see for the first time,

you see the ghosts as Jack sees them.

And they smile at you
as well and say, not,

not your time yet fair lady.

- And she kind of looks
around and is surrounded

and like makes eye contact
with Jack and then smiles.

And her eyes sort of go blue and murky,

like the darkest parts of the ocean.

And I'm gonna channel
divinity, let's destroy undead.

- Hell yeah.

- So wisdom saves with a DC of 16.

- Ooh, might be surprised,
if you didn't know,

these skeletons are not particularly wise.

- Weird, weird how they liked that.

- None of them hit what
they needed to hit,

which was a 17 to get a 16.

You come back with that smile on your face

All of these skeletons,

you watch suddenly their bones fill

with a brief translucence
of their souls come back,

and beneath all of them a
spectral whirlpool appears.

And then, and the souls
get sucked out of the bones,

straight into the bottom of the sea

and the bones clatter
disanimated around you.

- Dope.

- Incredible.

With that turn undead as well,

Jack, you're holding onto your mast

and you feel you are not a cursed man,

but it is true that you
have long been haunted.

Your crew feels the wave
of Myrtle's dismissal

and then turns to you and says, Captain,

we will leave if we are bidden to leave,

but we would serve you until the day comes

where you may join our ranks.

- Serve me the rest of this day perhaps

when this sun sets past the storm,

you pass on, as you were meant to.

- All of them, smile with
the enormity of that release

and that gratitude and
hang on to the power

of Myrtle's dismissal of the undead,

which has given them freedom
to pass on from this realm.

But not just yet.

Smile, leap in, we are back
to the top of the initiative.

- Oh, can I?

- Yes, yes, yes.

- Do I have the ability to
cast a bonus action spell?

- Yeah, go for it.

- Sweet, then I'm going to get
my spiritual weapon back up,

and I think now that
she's back up, her whole,

the water bubble rushes back up

and starts jumping out in fits and starts.

And how far away is our girl?

- It's difficult to read, but
she's only about 40 feet up

at the top of the roof.

- Wait, I'm on the roof.

- Yeah, you're only 40 feet away from her.

- Okay, so 40 feet.

60 Feet.

The first one, oh yeah.

So I can get one hit on her

- Hell yeah.
- With my BA.

I got a natural 20.

- Yeah, it's not very much
damage, but I will take it.

Yeah for a whopping six points.

- Yeah.
- Yeah.

- Again, as we've learned, the
only hit point that matters

is the last one, so it all adds up.

- Oh plus my modifier, six plus five, 11.

- Hell yes.

Alamaria is beginning to
look very hurt indeed,

she is beginning to look panicked.

You reach out, the ocean strikes her.

As she does, she whips back
her head and looks at you,

and says false witch.

Servant of the deep.

You now live under the
storm of his majesty.

Prepare to be struck down.

- It's already happened, it didn't stick

- We cut deep into the
shadows of the attic

underneath the storm
with the pounding rain

and battle overhead.

Marcid, you turn around,
badly injured facing Langley.

- Right, so you did tell me
to bring you that tablet.

So I'm gonna need your
assistance, we call this move,

beating a m*therf*cker
with another m*therf*cker.

And I grab him and I
shove him into the thing,

which I got a 24 on the attack.

To like shove him into the-

- Into the open.
- Into the engine.

- Yeah, well, I got a 24 and a 23,

'cause I'm gonna bash him twice,

and pending how that goes,

something else is going to happen.

But I do count as large for this.

So I'm like.
- Okay.

- So let's see if he can
get away from me 24 and 23.

- And these are shove attempts right.

- Yeah.

- Okay, we're gonna roll for both.

Langley is dexterous as hell,

but not the strongest dude in the world.

Let's see how he fairs.

- I try and get him twice, so we'll see.

- 23 and 24, right?
- Right.

Or 24 and 23, the high one
was the first one, but yes.

- Natural four on the first roll,

and a natural five on the second.

Langley fails both.

- So after I bash him twice,

you said I can actually physically
touch this thing, right?

- Yes you can.

I grab the trident, like
I'm going to stab him,

and I stab right past
him and stab the device,

and try and rupture it.

Whatever's gonna happen, I
need to bring this thing down.

- Okay, so you slam him into the device.

Okay.

- I beat the device with
his body as the.

- Yes, absolutely, absolutely, absolutely.

Well, so the first attacks,

'cause you have three attacks a round.

So the first two attacks,
bam, bam, go ahead,

and I'm gonna say, just roll one D6

plus your strength
modifier for both of those

that you slammed.

- Using an improvised weapon

to beat a m*therf*cker
with another m*therf*cker.

- Yes, absolutely, that's correct.

- I love the marketing team
that came up with that name.

- So that plus strength is eight and seven

on the two attacks.

- Okay, yes.

- And then when I stab
it, I stab it for 11.

- That beats the damage
threshold by one point of damage.

- Right.

- You bash him up against the side.

I'm going to present Marcid
with a choice right now.

You can either stab the device in the way

that looks the absolutely
absolute, most likely

to do something truly magically horrific,

maybe, maybe quite, quite, quite bad.

- Go on.

- Second choice would
be if you want to try to

take that damage, deal that to pin Langley

against the machine right?

So you're either stabbing through Langley

to attach it to the machine

or you are, if that makes sense.

- What I'm trying to do
'cause I still don't know

how the fights going on the roof,

and having this thing on
the roof is what they want.

So I want it not on the roof.

Like I'm just trying to bring it down.

Although I was told not to rupture it,

but that my goal is even if I
hit like a post or something

with his body, my goal is
to bring that thing down

from the roof.

That's what I'm trying to have happen.

- Okay, cool, so I think in that case,

you smash him twice into the thing

and then with your second
attack, take your spear and yeah,

you do the 11 points of damage.

This thing, the chimney,
the structure only had

five hit points left, so you bam, bam.

And with that last attack,
the entire infernal lamp

collapses 20 feet down
through the floor and settled,

just like deposited deep in the body

of the Ramble underneath it, disappearing.

Which changes the battle, the topography,

changes the landscape here a little bit,

because it puts Langley with his back

to suddenly an open void.

He's just in front of
sort of like the open hole

where that happened.

And it makes, Alamaria
also standing next to

the disappeared infernal lamp up on top.

So you smashed him twice,

and then you collapsed the chimney.

He's like teetering on the edge there.

- I just, so I just look
at him and I just say, run.

Go on, I'll let you go, run.

- Incredible.

We're gonna resolve that
intimidation check in a moment,

Bob, that's your turn?

- How close am I to Alamaria?

I think if I land right here,

then she's right there yeah?

- Yeah, you're flying over the balcony,

which means you're only
40 feet away from her.

- Oh, well I'd like to come down

and land right next to her,

and I'd like to talk to her real quick.

- Horribly burned.

She's had a moment of
like divine catharsis

completely stolen from her
and you just land next to her.

What?

- Oh no, no, no, darling,
just give me your hand.

Just give me your hand.

I just wanna talk to you for a second.

You know, sometimes you just
need a little diplomacy.

- She looks at you and says,

my God, are you Barbarella
Sasparilla Gainglynn?

- Yes, absolutely.

I don't think we've met properly,

but I do sort of know I kinda,

hit you with a couple of things,

and you hit my friends
with a couple of things,

and tried to m*rder the
entirety of our whole land,

but you know, we could
just make amends maybe.

- Oh, this is crazy.

No, my God, you see, she's
still holding the stone tablet,

holding the daughter of storms.

My God meets his tablet
and the ritual, it must,

and I can't believe you're just like, wow.

You're like, I kind of
thought you'd be taller,

if that makes sense.

Is that weird, do you get that a lot?

- I'm still holding your hand yeah?

- Yes, you are still holding her hand.

- You know I do, when people sketch me,

I'd just get sketched tall,

so it just looks a certain type of way.

But I just, you know, and as
I'm continuing to talk to her,

I am actually inflicting wounds.

- Go ahead, first of
all, give me a deception

with advantage.

- All right, with advantage.

All right, so that's 18.

So that's 29.

I've got a plus 11 in deception.

- Bards are so crazy.

Incredible.

Go ahead and roll the
damage for your inflict.

- I'm gonna be rolling
that and use my final

third level spell.

So that's five D10s of damage.

34 points of damage.

- Oh my God.

- Come on.

- Barbarella, you hold this woman's hand,

she gazes at you and goes,
wow, this is incredible.

They say never meet, you
know, sort of celebrities.

And you see the veins
of her arm begin to glow

with radiant light spreading up her body.

She goes, ha, it's just
so there's so much feeling

when you meet someone
that you've heard about

your whole life, it feels
kind of hot and intense.

I feel,

She just starts to come
apart into component light.

Bob, where do you send these
motes of light on the horizon?

- Oh, I want 'em to do
little spirals in the air,

kind of like fireworks.

The stone tablet, hold on one second.

Okay.

The stone tablet she was
holding is the only part of her

that is still here.

She fireworks, as they hit,

begin to hit the storm
almost abjuring the storm

for you guys.

And as it goes off,

you are surrounded by just
celestial trumpet music

of like fireworks.

Bob stands in all of her celestial glory,

this terrible wicked woman
bent on the destruction

of all the lovely people of Leviathan.

You have saved, Bob, what an
adventurer you are after all.

You see, even at the edge, Tulwar

peering over the roof, be like, wow.

Now that's what I call legendary.

We are going to cut back
to the attic, very briefly.

- Presumably we see those flashes.

- You see, yeah.

- There's a hole right over us right?

- Yeah, there is a hole right over you.

- That doesn't look good, mate.

This is your last chance
to get out of here.

- Langley is tilting back over the thing,

he, is this too dumb or does this rule?

- Yes.

- Always go with rules.

- It always rules.

You see Langley looks at you
as he says this and says,

says run, run?

I orchestrated the most daring heist,

the most complex system of
banking that there's ever been.

You think I'm going to just.

I would like, I'll actually ask as Bob

just destroyed Alamaria.

Bob, could you do me a
favor and roll a D20?

We're just gonna roll
a flat luck check here.

You want, I'm going to
say an 11 or higher.

I just want to say that
that was my opportunity

to say celestial aya!

- Oh yeah.

- You know what else is celestial aya?

- What's that?

- That natural one that I just did.

- No worries.

Cool, so.

What you guys see is
Bob, blow up Alamaria,

the next person in the
initiative order, don't worry.

There's no bad, there was
no bad part of that roll,

that was to see if something
crazily lucky would happen.

Cheese, you are the next person

in the initiative order to go.

- So I'm on the roof.

This person disintegrated in front of me.

I turned around there's no one, or?

- You see, actually you
see the stone tablet,

the daughter of storms
was the only thing left.

That's actually what Bob was rolling for,

was to see if it was going
to fall into the hole.

Instead it hits the roof
and shoots down the side

of the roof and begins to fly out

into the city of Leviathan.

You can take your turn as it
is like rocketing past you

down this slippery roof.

- Yeah, I wanna try to catch it.

Like it's falling or flying away.

Is it falling or flying away?

- Well, it hits this steep
rain slicked, shingled roof

as this heavy slab of wet stone

and like a bar of soap on a bathroom tub,

it just like shoom begins
to sh**t off the roof.

What does Cheese do?

Cheese wants to catch it, wants to get it.

He's thinking like, okay, he's
like running, he's thinking.

Okay, so I got sticky fingers,

which is like mage hand to
try to like throw it forward

to like try to slow it down.

So yeah, I want to like cast that.

I wanna cast mage hand,
try to get in front of it

and try to like slow it down,

so it just doesn't fall off the roof.

- Give me, give me just a arcana check.

- Okay.

- You want definitely above a 10 here.

- 19.
- Yes, great.

- You weave in front of this thing,

mage hand, sticky fingers
and end up much like

Spiderman with the railroad
crunching behind him.

You begin to just like sink into roof,

chunk, chunk, chunk, chunk,

holding this stone ahead
of you with your magic

until you're right at the
very edge of the roof,

looking at Leviathan far below.

You grab the stone, Cheese
has grabbed the stone.

Bob has k*lled Alamaria,
the skeletons are destroyed.

And with that Marcid,

Langley lunges at you, and
he's gonna take his attacks.

- He doesn't try and run.

- Go ahead and give me
your intimidate check.

- That's too bad.

- Intimidate is 21.

I'm like run it's too late
for you mate, just go.

- 21 is very, very good.

He looks at you and says Marcid,

and also just saw
Alamaria explode overhead.

You see, he looks at you and says,

very well, Marcid.

I submit to arrest,
lead me where you will,

where are we going?

- Right over there, you first.

- He says, please, after you.

- The moment he moves, I'm
gonna reaction Sparta kick him.

- You 100% see him go for a dagger,

was absolutely gonna stab you in the back.

- Yeah.

21 on the attack, boom.

- You see, yeah.

As he goes lead the
way, he says and Marcid,

keep your friends sh*t,

How many levels does this tavern have?

Ah, hey the lamp, oh no.

- I call down, Cathilda,
please stab him one more time

to make sure love.

- You hear, right, he's dead.

Oh no, no, no, he's alive.

- He's alive.
- Dead, dead.

- Dead, very badly burned yeah.

And I start climbing
my way up to the roof.

- The victorious crew, Sunny
you alight on the roof.

Cheese you've got the stone,
Jack and Myrtle side by side,

Bob surrounded by motes of light,

and the completely blood
soaked mess of Marcid

crawls through.

- I just look at Cheese and I'm like,

oy, she turned you into Swiss Cheese mate.

- Cheese would have a comeback for that.

But he looks down and sees all the holes

and he's just like,
yeah, that's right, mate.

- As the six of you laugh,

the six of you hear on
the roof of the Ramble,

the one of the tallest
buildings in Leviathan.

Look out, the storm breaks

and you can see the clouds begin to part

and all of the vastness of
Leviathan spreads out before you.

What adventures there are
in this city and beyond,

who can say.

But the six of you who, by the way,

let's get some hit
point totals real quick.

What are people at right now?

One, seven, five.

Jack's at 50?

Jack's looking great, honestly.

- Barbarians yo, just saying.

- Just saying, did Jack got that massage,

and is feeling great.

But covered in blood, soaked in rainwater.

The last bits of lightening
and thunder fade away

as the sunset reveals
itself on the far horizon.

And then the other side of the sky,

the stars alight, you
all have saved Leviathan,

cheers erupt, and you
see Cathilda, Tulwar,

and all of the elders, for
indeed the victory this day

was witnessed by the premier
storytellers of Leviathan,

the old Coots, the pirate elders

who sit around telling
stories of great pirate deeds.

Tulwar goes, a round of
drinks, a round of drinks.

- I say, wait, hold on a second.

Your newest pirate lord
has something to say.

And I pick up Cheese and have
him stand up in front of me,

I'm like, we need to make
another trip, don't we mate?

Ask him for a ship.

- Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

And like Cheese begs them for like a ship

to go, if you would,
we just have one more,

one more stop to go to, it would be great

if you could, you know,
let me borrow a ship.

Just something tiny, nothing
that fancy, like, you know,

maybe within the last 10 years
or so, that would be great.

- You see, they look around,

Tulwar smiles at you and says,

young master Cheese, a ship
is what's called for here.

Let me speak to the
most noble soul I know,

who upholds the pirate code.

Looks at you and says,
Sunny, follower of Jane

of the old ways, do you vouch

for young master Cheese here?

- Aye, he be a good lad master Tulwar.

- See Tulwar and Cathilda look
at each other and he goes,

she's hasn't got a bad pirate
accent, it's pretty good.

- I've been listening to Jack over here

for the past 24 hours
and his is pretty choice.

- You are all beckoned and
brought down off the roof,

celebrated, all these pirate elders.

You guys are loaded up,
there's a ton of magic gear.

These old pirates, there's
pirates everywhere,

just ancient old pirates who again,

an old pirate is almost always
a kind of bizarre thing.

It's like you survived?

So they're all like super high level,

but they're just too crotchety.

It's like here take this
it be a magic flintlock.

You all like move through the Ramble,

they look at the collapse.

You see that however Langley fell,

he actually is crushed in the
chest by the infernal lamp.

Like he hit it on the way down,

got underneath it and it crushed him.

And you see, they say, Tulwar says,

you know I suppose
we'll need more repairs.

Cathilda goes like, right but,

where do we get the money for the repairs?

And Tulwar steeples his fingers and says,

well, we took that loan
from that Trading Company.

But now that I think about it,

and he looks at Marcid holding Cheese,

perhaps some enterprising
pirates might think

about raising some funds
the old fashioned way.

In fact, he says, he points
at you Cheese, and says,

if your business brings
you to the Thorn Coast

at the Eastern edge of the
Nightmare Kings Forest,

if they're are some people worth saving,

perhaps there might also be
some treasure worth liberating.

- Oh, oh.

Cheese's first pirate interaction
like, like, pirate talk.

Oh yes, I get yah.

- Yes, Dave.

- I just sort of like,
while everybody is hoozahing

and collecting the new magical booty,

which I've been waiting this whole season,

just to say those words,
I pulled Tulwar over

and I pull out the
contract for this place,

the insurance policy and
I point at it and I say,

it seems now that Mr.
Langley Sheffield-Harrington

is indisposed the second name
on that contract is mine.

So there might be a little bit of coin

that manages to make its
way back to the ramparts

the old fashioned way, before we go do it

the old fashioned way.

- He smiles at you Marcid
and goes, well, well, well,

quite a pirate I now behold.

You're the Typhoon, is that right?

- Aye.

- He looks at you and smiles.

And once again, Marcid, you've peeled off

from the other five to handle business,

while the party starts.

He smiles and says young master Cheese

has a great deal of
adventure ahead of him.

It's always good for
a young pirate to have

someone to watch over them,

to keep an eye on the bottom line.

And it's a rare pirate
who's as deadly with a blade

as he is with the quill pen.

And he nods to the
contract you're holding.

And then he looks at you and asks, he says

you've remained on the Leviathan
for a long time, Marcid.

Not spent as much of your
days on the open waves.

What do you think the
future holds for you?

- I've come to realize
there's worse things

than getting a little of
water on your face hey mate.

- He smiles and you hear
Alycon in your mind go,

Sire, you're not honestly
considering going sailing?

That's the main thing we've talked about,

you were in a shipwreck, do you remember,

you almost drowned.

- Oh yeah.
- Alycon, shut up!

- All right, all right mistress.

- Right I have sort of
spent the last 24 hours,

in existential terror, and
here we are, still alive.

So at least it's going
to be exciting, right.

- You see she says, very well sire,

and you hear a voice say, M'lady.

If anything were ever to happen to you,

know that there is no depth of the ocean

I would not dive too.

No far horizon I wouldn't sail too-

- Hold on, wait, I'm just
gonna give you all a moment.

And I just like hurl the harpoon

back up towards the rafters.

- Quivers in the ceiling.

- I'll get it back later.

But that does remind
me of one small thing.

I turn to Myrtle, and like
I was going to say sorry

for dragging you in to all of this mess.

I was just looking for
a chance for you to make

a little coin, but I guess it
worked out well enough, hey?

Oh, and you died for me first.

- All right.

And I think Myrtle will
lean in and give him a kiss.

- Oh, beautiful, romance fills the air.

Pirate love is everywhere.

Celebration continues until
you guys find yourselves

on the first floor of the Ramble,

the largest sort of foundation floor.

And you see that there's sort
of a celebration happening

outside in the street
of people realize that,

word has gotten around.

Hey did you know Leviathan
was almost destroyed!

And then people being like wow, no,

but it got taken care off, well great.

And you see rushing up through the crowd,

Alistair Ash shows up,
and was supposed to come

with you here.

He goes like, hey sorry,
I got distracted there

with some snacks, and I
thought we'd all want lunch,

so I got a little bit turned around,

but I showed up, is the fight
over, has it happened yet?

- Wow. I totally forgot about this guy.

- Oh, totally forgot.

- I thought he was doing something

with the souls and the bell or something.

- Can I put him back
in the bell now please?

- Wait no, please don't.

You see him look terrified, please,

I'll do anything not
to go back in the bell.

I'm sorry, I just thought
that there was a line thing,

it was a great sandwich place in Galleyard

that we were nearby.

Laughter merrymaking, all of you see,

sort of caravan show up

being led by Jamina Joy who arrives

with a bunch of wagons and carts

with 14 of the 15
recovered infernal lamps.

She arrives here,

I believe by your reckoning,

the 15th lamp now resides inside.

And you see Tulwar kind
of moving out with it,

and goes, yes, it really
did a number on floors

11 through four, so we'll
have to repair this,

carrying it out.

And Myrtle yeah, you see,
the 15 lamps all placed here,

and you see an incredibly
rare appearance of Garthy

outside of the gold gardens,
walking up with the Tieflings,

being escorted by some
of Garthy's bouncers

and security from the
tavern of the Gold Gardens.

Lovies, happy to hear that
everything went smashing,

yeah, looks like the job got done.

You behold the infernal
lamps in front of you Myrtle

with the bell in your hand.

- Okay.

Hey Sunny, Bob, can I get a
little celestial cover on this?

I think it's gonna take a bit.

All right, bring me a tiefling.

- Sure.

- Trixie walks up going Bob, Bob?

- Okay, we'll start with this one.

And I wanna grab her by the shoulders

and like bring Bob over to,

and then we just sort of put her next too,

yeah and we just kind
of like check resonance

on each of the lamps, like,
no, okay I think it's this one.

And yeah, I would like to
attempt to use the bell

against the lamp to try
to like, I don't know,

I'm imagining it like a plug
and like screwing it in,

and pulling the soul out.

- For a moment it seems like something

very musical and dramatic will happen.

And then you just kind
of get him into the lamp

from one of the runes
like an ice cream scoop,

like get in there.

- I think you've gotta leave it out

for a couple of minutes to soften it up.

- After a lot of grueling, sea witch,

undersea cleric work you
scoop these fiery souls out.

And the first one is
Trixie, you within the bell

and then are able to bind it back out.

And through that little fork tongue,

like residual injury in
the side of her neck,

glows with fire and Trixie goes,

Oh Bob, oh my God Bobby, oh
my God are you all right?

Oh I love you so much, sweetheart.

- I missed you.

- I missed you so much.

Oh my God, that guy
Clive who I was seeing,

he was such a f*cking d*ck.

He came into my room, he
lit this like little lamp

and I started to get all woozy.

And I was like, I really prefer not,

and it was like, what's your f*cking deal.

Everyone's always trying to capture souls

and do souls into a bell
or a jar or something,

enough enough with the
souls in gems and stuff.

- You should never date a guy named Clive.

I learned that this weekend,
it's been a crazy journey.

I didn't know that was the guy.

If I had known that was the guy,

like I know that's the
guy now after the fact,

then it would've never been a situation.

- You see that, she goes, Oh,
I know, I, I can't help it.

I fall for these guys
that are just bad news

and are always involved in
these apocalyptic conspiracies

with angry deities.

It's just a habit, it's ultimately like,

we're all trying to date our father.

You know, I heard someone
say that one time,

like you're looking for a
type that wasn't present

in your childhood, but what can I say?

You know, my dad, was an angry deity.

- Myrtle just gives a uh-huh.

- She looks over at you,
and she's like, she gets it.

Hello, thank you for scooping
my soul out of there,

also your makeup, beautiful, I love it.

- Thank you, you too, not bad
for like no soul in your body.

It's great.

- Scooping more of these tieflings souls

out of these lamps.

Jamina's looking like, this is
going to take a little while.

- Yeah, Alistair, if you
don't have more sandwiches,

I swear to God, I'm
putting you back in here.

- I put in an order, but
I had to send a raven,

and it looks like the
raven flew the wrong way.

I'm gonna go there in person,

I'll get more sandwiches I swear.

Please don't put me in the bell.

And Alistair scampers off, incredible.

Yes, Dave,

- I would just say while this is happening

and this soul extrication is happening

and presumably seeing the sun set

having heard what Jack said,

I just lean over it to him, and I'm like,

what next now captain?

Hopefully you're not going back
below decks hiding anymore.

- Don't really know, got
a few matters to tend to,

and then I'm gonna figure out what sort of

way to spend my sunset years I suppose.

Aint getting any younger,
aint that the truth.

Holds the mast there, kinda looks at it,

if you excuse me just one second,

I do have um, an order
of business to tend to.

- Aye, aye.

- As everyone's celebrating
he kind of like,

as much as he can being a,

not very discrete figure in a crowd,

kind of ducks off towards one of the edges

kind of near where the
cliff where Clive fell was,

and kind of holds the
masthead there, and goes,

we've come a ways we have.

Can't say I don't still hold

some sort of deep guilt
for dragging all of you

undeserving folk to your ends,

but you're free now.

Free to pass on.

- You see the powerful dismissal
that was invoked by Myrtle,

the passing of the dead
into realms beyond.

And even from Myrtle's
condemnation of those skeletons

to the bottom of the
briny deep, this is more,

maybe gentle's not the right
word, it's still crashing,

like the sound of distant waves,

but maybe there's some
thrill to it, some adventure,

places yet to go, a new home to find,

a new adventure to seek.

And you see that your crew
appears around you translucently.

You see a Kiarra looks over
and says they're here right?

Before the door closes.

And you see that the
door that Myrtle opened,

your pirate crew has jammed
open with a bunch of ghostly,

like spars of wood,
they've done something,

they've done some piratey thing
to the fabric of the cosmos.

And you see two ratfolk, elder
ratfolk come through the door

that clearly had been kidnapped.

They had like bags over their heads,

but the bags get taken
off, they look around.

You see Dana, your mother
and Malcolm, your father

who have both since passed, look on,

and you see that Arrom
your lizardfolk boson goes,

Captain, the door opened
for us to pass on,

but we thought we'd bring them here.

- You're, don't know if your methods

were absolutely necessarily
given that they're my parents,

but I appreciate you staying in theme.

Mom, pop.

Happy to see your faces.

- You see they smile,

your crew turns and nods
to your parents and goes,

we'll leave you to it.

You'll close the door behind you,

and your mother and
father both nod to them,

looking around and seeing the door,

your crew solutes you one last time.

Captain, we'll be waiting
on the other side.

- I shouldn't be too long now.

They vanish and you are
left with two loving ghosts

staring at you from the
mist as the sun sets

and the pinks and oranges
of the distant sky

paint behind them a beautiful portrait

of things waiting beyond.

- Well,

told you I'd one day make you proud.

- Dana smiles and says,
my sweet darling, Jacky,

we always were proud.

It didn't happen today, it was every day.

And your father puts arm
around her shoulder and says

Jack legends come and go,

ships sail from harbor to
harbor, the tide rises and falls.

No man controls his fortune.

And your mother extends a ghostly hand

and you feel a cool and
yet somehow also warm touch

on your chest, and she says,

but a man does have
sway over his own heart.

Each day of your life,
you've been a good boy

and a good man.

And then, that has made
your father and I more proud

than anything else Jack.

- Well er, thank you
both for your support.

Thank you for telling me there was more

beyond the bilge all these years.

Not many folk of our kind
are given enough of a

direction in life, so
I owe all this to you.

- They smile and you see
that they begin to fade,

and the door is almost
closing behind them.

And you see your father
goes to remove the blockings

from the door, holding your mother's hand.

Your mother turns back.

She says, Jacky boy, sorrow in your eyes,

the world writes the
ending to our stories,

don't write an ending for yourself.

- As he for a moment,
just keeps focused on that

kind of pink and orange
horizon, trying to hold

as much of the memory of both
of their faces as he can,

he takes a deep breath,
turns back over his shoulder,

his eyes find Garthy somewhere
in the crew, group back there

and goes, I think there's still a bit left

in this old story to write.

- Garthy smiles, winks
at you, beckons you over.

Garthy's talking with Cheese and Tulwar.

You see Garthy sort of
smiles says, darling, Jacky,

can you come over here, sweetheart?

You see Garthy says,

I was just talking with
the good admiral, Tulwar,

as well as young master Cheese here

about the fact that young Cheese

has come into possession of a boat.

But Cheese I believe you were mentioning

that you're not actually
a sailor by trade.

You grew up here on
Leviathan, that's right?

- Oh, absolutely, yeah,
I've never sailed anything.

- You see Garthy smiles and
they kind of flip a little,

like a coin amongst their
fingers for a second.

Well, you know, as the owner of a ship,

and I'm a business owner myself,

so I sort of put some thought
into these sort of things.

You're gonna need to
think about hiring a crew,

quartermaster, boson.

Probably the most important
decision you're going to make is

about who you're going
to hire as captain, yeah.

- Oh yeah, absolutely.

It's one of the, it's like
the most important person.

It's just like-

- If I might weigh in here,

there are certain traits
that one should look for

in a captain, yeah.

Experience, a level head, yeah.

The ability to make
decisions quickly under fire,

strong principals, strong morals,

a strong back, broad shoulders,
sort of handsome face,

that kind of gray fox like older guy,

like, you know, that sort of like, oh,

like I bet he knows what he's doing.

He's not going to waste my
time in the sack, you know.

- Cheese keeps looking back and forth,

he's not even looking at Cheese,

he's looking directly
at Jack the entire time.

And like, Cheese is just looking
at them make eye contact,

and he's just like

- So like, you know, consider yeah,

that's all I'm trying to say.

- Oh yeah, consider, Jack's
at the top of my list,

are you kidding?

- Oh my goodness, Jack.

Wow, what a connection.

Yeah, that honestly, oh my God.

You're 100% right, that's like, yeah.

Wow, Jack checks almost all
those boxes off that list.

Wow, that's incredible.

Well, you know, I think
you should consider him,

definitely put him at
the top of your list.

You know, do interviews
or whatever, but yeah.

- No interviews like
Jack, do you want a boat,

I can get you a boat, do you want one?

- That once seen soft
grin curls a second time

across Jack's face as he sits there,

his arms crossed and considers,

his eyes kind of closing in a
somewhat blushing acceptance

and goes, well, you know,
I think in hindsight

my biggest mistake when
I made my first voyage

was not really having
a reason to come back,

or something to look forward
to when the return journey,

if I could have a promise to that,

maybe I'll be liable to
enjoy some time at sea.

He goes ahead and gives
a look back at them.

- Garthy smiles and says,

I'm not in the habit of making
those kinds of promises.

But I would say the odds
are extremely in your favor.

- Strangely, for the first
time I'm seeing myself

as a gambling, man.

- See Tulwar looks down
at you and says, I er,

I don't see very well, but it
feels like the sexual energy

is incredibly powerful.

- All right I hope this isn't
awakening something in me.

- It's very strong, I've
been avoiding using the word

seamen the entire time.

- Elsewhere in the crowd, Sunny,

you're surrounded by these pirate elders,

that are talking to you,

who are sharing Tulwar's story

of you racing in, saving Tulwars life,

going prostrate over his
body, smiting these people

left and right.

And you see they're just celebrating you

and Lonnie and being
like, oh, that's right,

you've heard of young Sunny Biscotto.

She's a demon with that hook and stick,

never seen a weapon like it.

And I'll tell you what's more.

She flies with the wind under her wings,

old Jane Wrens got her favor.

- She's just like a little
kid in a sea of adults,

just almost like talking over her.

And she's really overwhelmed
and she's kind of getting

knocked around and nodding.

And she's gonna like take a few steps back

and start making her way towards Tulwar.

- You start making your
way towards Tulwar,

Oh yeah, you see Tulwar
talking with Cheese,

Jack and Garthy,

and yeah you approach the group of them.

- This pirate stuff can be overwhelming.

All right, well guess I
should go tell my parents

that I'm not dead.

- Sunny, as you say that you,

you hear a squawking and you
see all like group moving

through the crowd approaching.

- Oh no.

- Pushing through the
crowd, the crowd parts,

and the entire Biscotto family

pushes out, looks at you,

you see they have huge stacks
of these wanted posters

in their hands.

They look over, well
jeepers kiddo, we were-

- Hi mom. Hi dad.

- He says, Sunny, we
were putting up flyers

on one of the elevators
and Edith was counting out

copper pieces and mentioned that you had,

that she saw you with a rum barrel lid,

and we don't drink alcohol.

So where did you get
a rum barrel lid from?

And that's the least of our worries.

You're covered head to toe in blood.

- Okay, okay.

Article number nine in the pirate's code

is to always be honest with your crew,

and especially your parents.

Mom, dad, little Biscottos.

I am not a follower of
the good, the good Sol.

I am actually a pirate paladin

of our good goddess pirate Jane Wren.

And I'm kind of a pirate now, and also,

maybe helped save Leviathan
with all of these people.

So not dead, just a pirate.

And a hero.

- Your mother and father are
stone faced looking at you.

You worship a different
God, you're a pirate.

You see Tulwar steps over
in the stunned silence,

and goes, your daughter,
hello, I'm Tulwar,

I'm a member of the Ramble,

one of the pirate lords of Leviathan.

- This is my mentor, he's a minotaur.

- I am her menotaur,

- I love that one.

- Just to say, your
daughter is an extremely

exceptional pirate.

She's blessed by the Goddess
of the Horizon and Adventure.

She's a demon in a fight, it's incredible.

She hooked someone behind the esophagus

and tore their throat out.

- She defeated
me in single combat.

- You see, look over at you,

you see that silence descends again,

your mom full vomits on the ground.

Your dad goes, oh my
God, I knew it, I knew,

I said, we're gonna move to the city

and there's gonna be rock and roll music,

and there's gonna be all this
other kinds of stuff going on.

- Dad, dad, okay.

Calm down first off.

Just because that I am
not being influenced

by the things that you anticipated,

doesn't mean that they're
not positive influences.

These people are my friends and you know,

I bet Sol and Jane Wren
are like super good friends.

- Your mother and father
look, go ahead actually,

and give me a persuasion check,

let's go ahead and give
me a persuasion check.

- I just want in the background for Myrtle

to have ripped out another soul,

and it's on fire and she
just waves it at Sunny.

- My friends!

19.
- 19.

You see your mother and father
both look at you and say,

but are, this is not our,

we all, you know, begin
begin, begin each day

with joyful hearts.

What are, what are we, if
we're not all the same?

- Mom, dad, we are still the
same, nothing has changed.

I've been up to this sh*t for like, oh.

- Dante, your little brother goes, whoo!

You see, your siblings
have been totally quiet,

but they'll look, and you see that

your next oldest sibling Vee steps out

and goes,

I think it's okay that Sunny
believes in a different God.

We're, we're not all the same.

I don't know that, I
don't know that my life,

I don't know that I want to
necessarily revere any God.

Maybe I don't.

Your littler sister, Laurie
who's like 14 steps out

and just goes, I'm g*y.

I'm g*y, I'm a g*y person.

You see Dante, your littlest brother goes,

I believe in the devil.

- You don't, Dante, you don't.

Don't just say things to be just cuts,

you have a problem with that.

- I believe in the
devil, I believe in him.

- Dante!

- You see Laurie says, look,
Sunny is a part of this family,

and if she wants to go on an
adventure, she's a grownup,

she's 18, she can go on an adventure.

She looks great. What happened?

You have like your
feathers and everything.

You look awesome.

- Yeah.

Yeah!

- You see your parents, look,

they look at each other
and they go, you know,

wherever you go and whatever you do,

we love you.

And if it means that you worship,
what'd you say Jane Wren?

- Yeah. She's this awesome pirate God.

- Okay, okay.

You see that Tulwar says,
yes she actually used to be

a person.

And you see that your parents
go, oh, oh so you know,

maybe it's like that
she's like a saint, right.

You know, like maybe it's not a full,

maybe there's some, some wiggle room.

- We can start with that and work on it.

It'll be a, it'll be work
in progress, that's okay.

- You see your siblings all smiling.

You look down and see
your younger siblings

like Vee and Laurie look at you,

your bravery in saying
this to your parents,

you can tell has made life way easier

for your younger siblings.

That they were able to say this stuff

because you were the
first one out on the limb.

Laurie and Vee both give you a big hug.

- Oh, I just scoop them all up.

We'll kind of try to bring mom and dad in,

and then just say, we'll always be family.

Nothing can change that.

No matter what we are, or who we are.

- You see, they smile.

There's some tears shed to
get a big hug, and they go,

okay, all right, you're
gonna go on adventures.

I'm gonna go and make sure
that you got lunches packed

and make sure that you
got everything you need.

You got snacks for the trip.

- Really, will you pack
the sweet pickles too?

- Yeah.
- They're my favorites.

And you have to cut the
crust off of the sandwich.

- I know how you, sweetie, I
didn't raise you from an egg

to not know that you take the crusts

cut off your sandwiches
okay, I know, I know.

Sunny is surrounded by her loving family

processing the news of
their piratical daughter.

The celebration continues, Myrtle,

you finished pulling
the last tiefling soul.

The lamps are disarmed, Jamina smiles.

Thank you for this service
to the city you have done.

- If you ever find any
extra treasure laying around

just Temple of Umberlee, down in Jetsam.

- Perhaps a contribution is in order.

At saying the name of your goddess to,

you hear distant crashing of waves

at the edge of the Leviathan,

and the sort of sultry voice calling out

to you as well Myrtle.

- Oh, hold that.

Is it a thought I don't,

and then she's just gonna slither away.

- The way to the edge,
you look at the dark ocean

as night truly falls here in the Ramble,

and shadow and mist and salt air, whum,

face of Umberlee appears again before you.

You sent many souls down
to my hungry mouth, Myrtle,

and that stone tablet, I
wouldn't mind holding on to that.

But I've been thinking
perhaps it would be better

if no where, and no one,
none of the inhabitants

of Leviathan knew where it was established

or where you dropped it into the deep sea.

She looks at you and says, Myrtle,

I've been thinking, I
don't take on many clerics,

mortals are somewhat loathsome to me,

as well you are aware,

and very few how the strength
of will to tread my path.

However you have acquitted
yourself most ferociously here.

- Thanks.

- This druid who dared
to call upon the weather,

is she the only one of
her order, this Alamaria?

- Oh, no, there are others.

- How much longer do you imagine
there will still be others?

- Good question.

I'll get right on that.

- Ah, my vicious daughter.

Quite worth the spells,

and Umberlee vanishes.

Amazing.

- I think she slithers back
like pretty immediately

and goes up to Jack,

having kind of passively heard

while she was pulling
spells and just turns to him

and like the whole group, and just,

if you don't bring me onto your crew,

I'm gonna sink your f*cking ship.

- Amazing.

- I run up behind Myrtle,
and I say I'm coming too,

if you'll have me master Cheese.

- Oh, oh yeah, perfect,
we need a first mate.

Two first mates, yeah.

Oh, this is great.

I'm like the manager of all this, yeah.

- You're the best.

- What's the name of the person

that like sneaks ahead of you lot

and kills the important
people before you get there?

I want that job.

- Scout?

- Scouts as good of a title.

Doesn't quite encapsulate
what I'm envisioning,

but that's fine, sure.

- Consider it's got big,
heavy quotations around it.

- Oh right, I'll be a scout.

- Aye.
- Right.

- It's all coming together now.

- Well, I'll be prepared to
ship out whenever you are.

However, I turn my palm
over where I just nicked

some of the coins when Tulwar kicked over

the chest upstairs, it's like,

I need to make a quick delivery first.

I'm going to leave and find those kenku.

- Marcid takes off, I think
Jack and Myrtle and Cheese,

let me know if anyone else has any

of those things up there.

What's Bob up to during
all this celebration?

Trixie's obviously
delighted that you're here,

but you do see like stars
glittering in the sky.

- Oh, perfect.

I wanna tell my mom what happened.

- You walk to the edge
of the edge of Crows Feet

looking up at the stars and
you see some sh**ting stars,

and only to you, the
stars swirl, and you see

your mothers beautiful face.

- Oh, well, you know what?

Hi, I miss you, and we'd finished our,

well, we didn't really
finish I've adventure

because there's still another
thing that we've got to do,

which involves us getting on
a boat and going to make sure

that Cheese gets his brother back,

because it's the only thing
that we've kind of missed

in the whole equation.

But I really wanted to
run something by you

because I'm workshopping something

that I started writing today.

- My darling, I would be
delighted to hear your song.

- It's really rough, but
it's about the adventure

in that way I k*lled
two birds with one stone

because I can tell you
all about what happened

and be like a true bard, like dad.

And I can also tell you what happened

even though you kind of already know,

'cause you know, everything
before and after it happened.

- She smiles and says, oh my
darling daughter, I love it.

Yes, of course.

- The stars sparkle,

comets, and sh**ting stars, magnificent.

Your mother turns and looks over.

You look up in the sky, Bob and hear,

Bravo, bravo, bravo, magnificent,

magnificent, hurray, hurray!

And see a tiny little
constellation of a rowboat

and a little man made
of stars moving along.

You're the best darling, I can't believe

I didn't miss a thing, I
got here, I got into the sky

just the moment you started singing.

Oh, you're brilliant, you're lovely.

- Don't drink and row your boat.

- No, no I'm dead sober,
little bit of weed,

but dead sober,

and you see this and scoots along.

Your mother says, Octavio,
you, you've arrived.

He says, darling love, I've
been looking for you forever.

I can't believe I made it back.

Did you hear our girls beautiful song?

She'll put all the legends
to shame, I know you will.

Good luck on your pirate
adventure darling.

- Thanks dad.

- The stars twinkle and fade.

The rest of you have a ball
partying in the Ramble.

Marcid, you make your way all
the way down to Mast Hearth

and find the little tent that the kenku

are dwelling in down there.

And you can see you see inside

them finishing that little crust of bread.

And you hear the mother saying, well,

I don't know someone must've
left it, some kind soul,

but you know, when there's
strokes of bad luck,

sometimes they're faire
folks and nixies off the sea

come by and leave a crust of bread

for those in poor fortune.

But don't worry, we'll find
a way out of this young ones.

- Excuse me.

- Mama kenku bursts out of the tent

with a frying pan in both hands.

And says, well you've come back to take

the crust of bread out of
our beaks then have you?

- I haven't, I've come
to deliver a message.

- The dad comes out and the
little kenku kids come out

and they all look up at you

waiting to see what your
message is going to be.

- There was a clerical error.

Your mom was right all along

and you all were owed something,

and I just put down the stacks of coins.

And I'm like, listen to
her, she's smart and brave,

and so's your pop.

- They look stunned.

The three little kenkus
go, smart and brave,

and so's our pop, smart and
brave, and so's our pop,

that's right.

- Righto, do you lads
wanna see a magic trick?

- They look, you see the dad goes,

he goes right, thank you-

- m*rder the family.

- The mom and dad looks, and she's,

Bridget says, I can't believe
it, the insurance paid out.

And you see that the dad goes right,

it seems to these coins have
some bits of blood on them.

- Yeah, they were blessed,
they're luckier that way.

- The kids say, we want
to see a magic trick.

- Right?

Nothing up my sleeves, right?

And rope trick up into the sky.

- Marcid is gone.

- And then pull the rope up after.

- Marcid is gone, and on
the grim bugbears face

the celebration of the family,

perhaps where none
could see it to threaten

Marcid's fearsome reputation.

- I do, I do have an image
to maintain, you know.

- Incredible, the Kenkus
smile and celebrate.

Marcid has tied up that loose end,

the last or the spread of
the second to last thing

I will ask.

Cheese, you find yourself
the owner of a boat

with a captain, a crew, a
first mate, a ships cleric.

Tulwar is talking with you about-

- A scout.

- A scout, Marcid,
actually before you leave,

I think Tulwar goes like, talks about you.

He says, listen, you're
fearsome in battle to be sure,

but a good boat does need
a good quartermaster,

And I trust you with the ledger book

as much as I do that trident.

- Well, you know, it's good
to be versatile I suppose.

And I like twirl the two
different weapons in my hands.

Sure.

- Cheese you, as the
night begins to wind down,

you see Sunny with her family,

Bob talking to hers,

all of these things have gone on,

the only person here who, you know,

you sort of see the
difference in your crew where,

Jack and Sunny and Bob all have
these sort of relationships

to their family, then Myrtle and Marcid

are more hardened pirates
who seem to be able to fend

very well for themselves.

You know where your brother is,

and you also probably know
where your parents are,

and you know that you have a
boat that will be ready to sail

on the morrow, where does
Cheese go that night?

Cheese goes to the boat,

everyone's still at the party.

And he goes to the boat,
has a little bag of stuff.

And he looks at it.

He looks at it like
where to go below deck,

where the captain's quarters would be.

He looks at the front of the
ship, and then he looks up

to the crow's nest where
he's always wanted to be.

And he will be the first
person to see his brother.

And he climbs to the
top, and he just waits.

- You get to the top of the crow's nest,

and you are in the crow's
nest of your ship, correct?

- Yes.

- You're in the crows nest of your ship,

you hear a flapping of wings
behind you, and you see light.

A young woman stands on like
the sort of the side mast

of ship where the sails
are sort of wrapped up.

She is a young, beautiful, tall,

about six and a half feet, tall, strong,

beautiful young black woman

with wings made of pure fire,

and glowing orange tattoos along her arms.

A gout of flames, sort of in a Mohawk,

is the only sort of
fire on top of her head.

And she has from the knees down

sort of birds talons, digitigrade ankles,

she looks at you holding
Marcid's other letter,

and regards you.

She goes, you're Cheese
of Cannon Court, correct?

- Yeah, yeah, er wow, er
yeah, I'm Cheese, I'm Cheese.

She folds the letter, places it.

My apologies for my lateness,

in addition to being the mistress

of the Compass Points Library,

I also am in a committed
relationship with a rock star

who lives in Solace.

So I have to split time
between those two locations.

- Yeah, I'll yeah, I know,

I keep up with all the papers
and all those, that's amazing,

yeah.

I am Ayda Aguefort, Mistress
of the Compass Points.

It's been brought to my
attention you are a young wizard,

is this correct?

- Yes.

- May I observe your trapper keeper?

- Uh, yeah.

Yeah, he pulls out a trapper keeper,

and hands it to her.

Starts kind of making excuses for it.

Oh, a lot of these, a lot,
a lot of the pages are torn.

It's a lot, a lot of the
stuff that I'm scribbling

in the notes I had to like, I
don't know the real languages

or exactly how, how this
stuff works, exactly.

A lot of that I put, I put together.

It's not, it's not-

- Your voice keeps stuttering
over and over again,

are you nervous right now?

- I'm always, I'm always nervous, yes.

- Why?

- Um,

I don't know.

- I'm going to be frank with you.

I command the wind and stars,
I am a powerful wizard.

Last year I stormed the nine
Hells to save my paramore.

You see, she says, and I
also get nervous a lot.

It's okay to be nervous,

but I hope you are not nervous around me.

I heard of your story and that
you are off on an adventure

to save your brother,
this is a noble calling.

I hope you do well.

Am I conveying to you affection correctly?

You're getting that I'm
being affectionate yes?

- I don't have a lot of
experience, but I guess so,

yes, I mean on paper, it sounds 100%.

- You don't have a lot of
experience with affection?

I understand that, Leviathan
can be an unkind place

to grow up.

Do you have any family
left here in the city?

- And like Cheese is
like, no, not in the city.

- She narrows her eyes and
looks at you and says very well.

She casts a spell, some act of divination.

And she says, I've asked
the winds and the midst

of all the 17 seas to come together

and agree with you that you have no family

here in the city.

Any who live in this city that operate

under the mistaken assumption
that they are your family

will find locating you, troubling you,

harassing you, or ever
being unkind to you again,

to be an impossibility
for you and your brother.

- Thank you.

- Here is a very large book
of spells, it's a present,

I hope you enjoy it, don't
tell me if you don't,

it will hurt my feelings.

- Oh, thank you!

This is,

oh, it even has that
new smell, spell, smell.

Oh yes. Thank you so much!

- She smiles,

your adventure awaits.

The Crows Keep will be open
to you whenever you are ready.

I'm out of things to say,

do you have any things to
say or are we done talking?

- We're done. We're done talking, yes.

- Okay. I consider you a friend.

I hope you do the same to me.

You can think about it, you
don't have to answer now.

Goodbye, Cheese.

Flies off into the sky.

You, the next morning arrives.

Cheese, you're in the little sort of like

there's a little cabin
for sort of crew members

of the ships.

You got your books up there,
there's lights and lanterns,

taking notes, trapper keeper,

you've got this whole huge
book of new spells to go over.

It's a bright new morning,
the new crew of the ship,

unnamed ship, by the way, g*ng,

maybe something that master Cheese

or somebody should get on.

But people are coming up
and down the gangplank,

getting ready for the ship to set sail.

People are at the Harbor
getting ready to say goodbye.

You guys are off in the Hulcliff area,

getting ready to get
lowered down to the water.

Bob, you see Trixie's there just weeping.

I don't know, listen, there's not gonna,

the shows not gonna be
as good without you.

And I'll miss you, and
just please stay safe,

and come back home.

- I'll come back for
twilight performances.

- Oh you're a doll, babe, knock 'em dead.

You're gonna be great, I know it.

Garthy waves over at you too Bob and says,

Bobby, take care of that voice love,

and take care of that body and

take care of your heart as well.

I know you're looking for adventure love

and I know you're gonna find it.

You're gonna do great darling, believe me.

You're the most encouraging
person I've ever met

in my entire life.

- Hey, encouragement's
a form of pleasure yeah,

it's all about feeling good.

You see Cheese, you got
your whole boat going.

You also you're all decked out,

for anybody else here, does
anyone have any last things

they do as the ship is
getting ready to set sail?

Any new gear.

- Well, everyone is there.

I just say so, I'm not
the poet of the group

really that's Bob you know,

but I've been thinking
about this name thing,

and I know Sunny is going a
different path from a Sol

and the old ship was the Late Bloomer,

what if we called this
one, the Harvest Moon.

- Woo, woo, not a poet, huh?

Yeah right!

I love it!

The HM, yes!

- To the HM.

- With a flash of cantrip,

The Harvest Moon is
painted across the prow.

You see Garthy calls out
and says champagne, lovey.

No, no, not the expensive stuff,

it's a ship love, no one's drinking this.

And takes a bottle of champagne,

smashes it against the prow of the ship.

- Garthy was handed
champagne by my boy, Olive

who Myrtle has been chatting
with back and forth,

like going over directions
on how to make drinks

and loading on just an
aggressive amount of alcohol.

- You see crates and crates
of like flutes and tumblers

and shot glasses are going on board.

Way more than a ship
should be stocked for.

Olive's like, Right, I just
want, I'll do mint in this one

sometimes just a sprig,
but you don't need much

of the little garnish.

- Think, the twist, I think
I got it, got it, thank you.

- Garthy waves up also
to you Jack and says,

you look rather dashing on
the prow of a ship love,

I have to say.

- As he's finishing the last bit of rope

that's taking the mast
piece and is affixing it

as the bow sprit, the pole
at the very front of the ship

stands up kind of arching
with renewed posture

and looks back over
towards Garthy and says,

well, thank you very much.

Tell you what, when I come back,

and I claim absolutely no exclusivities

to such a wondrous beast as yourself,

I'd say, it's your turn
to play little spoon hey.

- I'll play whatever you
like lovey, just come back.

And you see Tulwar comes on deck,

You have, Jack you're fitted out.

You have like a captain's
coat on with buttons on it.

And Garthy, there's a
little case left from Garthy

after they have already turned to leave.

You open it up 'cause
you're affixing your mast

to the prow of the ship, right?

- Uh huh.

- You open it, a gleaming
golden-hilted double-handed

falchion waits for you
in this gleaming case.

- They really are something
special aren't they

As I pull the blade forth,

kind of wield the blade a bit and say,

I'm gonna call this the Garden's Point.

- Hell yes.

The ship hits the water.

Leviathan moves away through the waves.

Cheese, you have your star maps open.

You know the bearings,
Jack is at the helm.

You have a cleric of the
Goddess of the Underseas

to protect you from what
ill fates might befall you.

- She's cradling the Daughter
of Storms by the way.

- Oh, yeah, our one
last piece of business.

You set your course for the
coast of the Nightmare Forest,

where you know your brother yet lives.

As you guys tear away and
the Leviathan begins to fade

into the distance Myrtle you
were at the edge of the ship.

- Now I know I'm supposed to drop it in,

and she like looks over at Bob.

I'm supposed to drop it
in and then it goes away

to my mistress forever.

Or my storms.

- You say my storms, and you hear

on the horizon.

- Any thoughts?

- As you say, any thoughts

you hear and you look
out and see whirlpool's

beginning to form around.

- Right after I see her drop it,

I do just sort of appear from
the shadows right behind her.

And I'm like, there is only
one rule love, only one.

- I know.

- You set sail watching
that incredible artifact

just sink, it's worth so much
money, sink away in the sea.

But there are plenty of places that belong

to the Crescent Moon Trading
Company along that coastline,

plenty of wicked pretenders
to the storm to punish,

friends to save.

You have a cleric of
the Underseas with you.

One whose literal mother shaped the stars,

and who can read your
charts to arrive there.

Cheese you stand aboard
your ship looking up

at its proud old captain at the helm,

the fearsome Marcid the Typhoon,

waiting by the door to the decks below

having taken care of all the
paperwork to get this ship off,

sailing on the right foot.

And flying overhead as the sun sets,

your first mate with the wind of adventure

underneath her wing.

- And I just do a loop over the waves

and fly through the sails.

And you see one of my colored wings

just fly past the camera and the screen.

- Yay, that's been Pirates of Leviathan!

Thank you all so much for watching.

What a joy playing with the six of you.

Thank you so much, what an adventure,

what a time.

We'll catch you again
here on Dimension 20.

- Wait, wait.

Oh sorry.

Thank you, Brennan.
- Thank you Brennan.

- Absolute joy.

Later, whoo.

- Bye Barnacle Buddies.
