[door creaks]

I dreamed I was thirsty,
and when I woke up...

This house is much bigger in the dark.

-[clattering

Hello? Anybody there?

Help! Oh, help! It's after me!

-[Bugs] Tweety?
-[Lola] What is it?

-Daffy] What happened?
-[Taz] What, Tweety, want?

A terrible creature was trying to get me.

Oh, oh, oh, it was dreadful.

It's just old jack-in-his-box.

You mean you were afraid of that thing?

Certainly not.

Well, maybe a little.

Okay, maybe a lot.

For a small fellow,
I am a big yellow-bellied scaredy-chicken.

Now, Tweety, dear,
anyone would have been frightened.

Even me.

-You would have?
-[Granny] Of course.

Now, let's all get back to sleep
and we'll feel better in the morning.

You'll see.

[sighs]

Oh, I doubt that.

-[Daffy] Tweety?
-[Lola] Tweety. Where are you?

[Bugs] Tweety?

Yoo-hoo, oh, Tweety Bird.

[Tweety] Not in here.

-What are you doing under there?
-[Tweety] Hiding.

So you won't have to look
at little cowardly me.

Come on out of there. Please?

How long you gonna stay in that thing,
Tweety, old pal?

[Tweety] Forever.

Possibly much longer.

That poor guy must be feeling awful sad.

I sure wish there was some way
we could make him feel better.

I've seen this before.

Guy gets a case of the creeps
and it turns into the willies.

Next thing you know,
he's got the heebie-jeebies.

Aw, come on, Daffy.

The little fellow's
not half as scared as he thinks he is.

Sylvester, that's it.

Tweety thinks he's a scaredy-cat.

And we gotta make him see
what a brave little bird he really is.

[tools sawing and whirring]

[Tweety] What's going on out there?

[Taz grunts]

Hmm.

[Bugs] A little more that way.

Now this way.

Up, down, that's it.

And that is that.

But what is that?

Our stage, of course.

We're gonna put on a play.

-Taz ready.
-So am I.

[all chattering]

Hold on.

This show can't go on.

We don't have anybody to play the hero.

[all gasp]

[stammers] But I can't be a hero.

I'm too big a chicken.

-Here, gonna need this.
-[Taz] Here. Here.

[Daffy] Gotta have one of these.

Gracious. Who's that dashing fellow?

It's you.

That hero suit fits you just right.

The Playroom Theater is proud to present:

The Brave Little Tweety.

Starring Tweety.

Once, ahem, upon a time,

in the little town of Looneyville

all the villagers woke up
to find a strange box.

[all yawning]

Nobody knew what it was

or where it came from,

or even what was in it.

[Taz grumbling indistinctly]

-It was a monster.
-[Lola] Help.

-Save us.
-What he said.

Tweety, that's your cue.

"Have no fear.
Brave little Tweety is here."

Have no fear.

Brave little Tweety is here.

[grumbling indistinctly]

[all screaming]

The villagers of Looneyville were scared
right out of their pants.

But the brave little Tweety
saved them from the monster.

[screams]

Go on, Tweety, save them.

[all] Yeah, Tweety.

And that's how
the brave little Tweety saved the day.

And that's all, folks.

Bravo. You were all wonderful.

And you, Tweety,
what a fine hero you were.

So convincing.

-Didn't know you had it in you.
-A natural.

We won't have to worry with you around.

[all] Tweety, Tweety, brave little Tweety!

Aw, it was nothing. Really.

Let's see how high
we can stack it this time.

Careful, Bugs. It's about to fall on you.

[Tweety] Have no fear.

You could have choked on that.

I worked an hour on that sandwich.

-Something's got to be done.
-You said it, sis.

-He's way out of control.
-Saved me from my own sandwich.

Question is what do we do?

I sure wish we had the old Tweety back.

Sylvester, that's it.

All we gotta do is...

[whispering]

And then you're gonna go over there...

[Tweety sighs]

Something the matter, Tweety, dear?

For a little fellow,
I have a great big problem.

Granny, everybody thinks I'm a hero,

and I will always save them.

But heroing is very hard work,
and I'm getting very tired.

Well, why don't you tell them so, dear?

No, no, no. I couldn't do that.

They need me, Granny.

I'm their hero.

And as long as I have my hero suit,
that's just the way it has to be.

[snoring]

[crash]

What was that?

This sounds like a job
for the brave little Tweety.

Oh, no. My hero suit!

It's gone!

Without it, I am helpless.

But my friends need me.

Hey, watch it.
Oh, you broke the flashlight.

Can't see my hand in front of my face.

-[Sylvester] That's my hand.
-[Lola] And my face.

[Daffy] Awful dark this time of night.

[Taz] Taz scared.

-[boing]
-[Bugs] What was that?

[all screaming]

-My heavens. What's going on?
-[Bugs] It was after us.

-[Lola] It was scary.
-[Sylvester] Extra scary.

Oh, it was horrific.

-[Bugs] But we were saved.
-[Lola] By the brave little Tweety.

Oh, no. It's just me.

The plain little Tweety.

Three cheers for Tweety.

[all] Hip, hip, hooray! Hip, hip, hooray!
