over take your double stick tape
you cover the back of your design with

boring trust me it's from

I'm Rachel and I'm 12 years old I'm from
Berkeley California and I love
climbing been climbing for about 6
years it's really challenging for your
mind and your body and it requires a lot
of strength and a lot of thinking for
me I climb anywhere even my house house
is a great place to
climb I try and climb up all all the
beds in the house
climb the picture frames climb
anything this is called the main wall
it's the biggest wall in the gym it's a
little harder it's a little steeper it's
a little
longer this is the harness this is where
I tie in my rope between these two
Loops it keeps me
suspended this is the chalk bag my hands
get sweaty while I'm climbing can reach
my hand and get some chalk and this is
Scott he's the climbing coach he's going
to keep me safe that way bling Cooling
in the rope and then letting it out when
I come

down you always have to be in the right
position it's like playing on a chest
board my eyes are always looking
everywhere they're looking up see what's
coming looking down see my feet are
making sure they're on the route you
want to be able to feel rock as much as
possible these shoes s of let you do
that sort of grip it sort of the closest
things to Barefoot that you can get for
climbing this is taking a little
work climbing like this inside is fun
it's good for training but it's really
all working up to outside which is it's
the real rock this is fake this is

although people might think that it's
better if you're taller so you can reach
more holds for me I can fit into smaller
places and I can I have smaller hands
which can fit into really tiny holes I
can stem my feet out into little places

trying to be one step ahead of
myself
climbing I'll keep moving around moving
my hands moving my feet trying
everything I can until I find something
I never give up on a ro and I might get
really tired my arms start hurting my
legs start hitting but I always try my
hardest to get to the
top this is a lot easier and less scary
for me than any sports like basketball
or soccer or volleyball and I like being
alone up on the Rock and being able to
think all by myself there's sort of a
sense of peacefulness up there all I'm

what do you think it's going to be how
many different ways I think I think 20
because it's not a real big number and
it's not a real small number so it's
kind of like right in the middle so do
you want us to write these predictions
down you show like the first letter of
every name yeah okay cuz we each have
what do you how come cuz it's just seems
like a little bit over the middle just
like almost saage a little bit of a lot
but it's a lot of a little bit Yeah OK

weight what grade you're in and whether
you're a boy or a girl this way we can
find out if backpacks are heavy on
certain days of the week if kids in some
grades carry heavier backpacks than
others or if the weight of the backpack
is related to whether you're a boy or

poor because the president did not know
how many coins and bills to make Brian
liked sports but in his dream there were
no Sports because people did not know
how many players they needed how much
equipment was needed and what time to be
at the games Farmers did not know how
many bags of seeds to plant or how long
it took to grow food so there was never
enough food to eat Brian was so scared
that he woke up he was all sweaty the
next day at school it was was a
different story he knew why math was
