hi I'm Cherie spell I'm in Washington DC

and I've volunteer here at the counter

with aquatic gardens outside of the

gardens it's a place full of noise but

once you step inside of the gardens it

becomes a total different place and it's

calm and peaceful around here you can't

even hear that you're in the city

anymore the aquatic gardens was started

by Walter B Shaw in the 1800s and he

started with just twelve water lilies as

you can see there are 45 ponds here the

only National Park dedicated to only

aquatic plants I love it here in the

gardens because I love animals and I

love nature and it's fun sharing all

this with people that would just tells

me like did you know that wrong how's he

Gardens basically means water plants and

with 45 pounds here there are a lot of

water plants let's see something cool

these loans pets are often sat on by
