next it's the puzzle place your child's mind what's going on

in there thanks fill it with good stuff okay everybody like Sesame Street m

you know the more they watch Sesame Street now the better they'll do in school even years

later yep Sesame Street Powers kids for

life Wow PBS has a new kid show called

Arthur and it's about me catch Arthur on PBS wonderful kind of

day what a wonderful kind of day to read or not to read H that's

question so what's the problem reading's lots of fun for lots of reasons yeah

name one okay when you read you get to travel to far away places and you get to meet some very unusual characters and

you get to make believe you're them I said name once guys and you can read

wherever you want in a car on a bed Park in the tub quiet please I'm

reading Channel 8 in Carbondale and W USI Channel 16 in

can just forget it of all the superheroes we've seen in comics and on

television there is only one who can control the forces of nature

gear things that hangs out up near the ceiling H the kids must have brought it down here oh yeah yeah H it looks

comfy hey Sizzle this is nice no no no no n I don't think you should do that oh

lighten up sis you know you could take a nice nappy pool up

flying flying woohoo no we are not

flying for your information we are stuck up near this ceiling and don't

what is all that ret it's a look oh no nuzzle and Sizzle are stuck up on the

gear don't worry Julie all Kiki has to do is throw the switch and bring the

gear back down oh yes I'll do it I'll be right back wait oh don't worry you guys

you'll be down in a second okay I'm throwing the sweet great she's throwing

the switch she's throwing the switch

uh-oh the switch threw me no it broke M

what are we going to do nuzzle and SZ are stuck up

[Music] there what we need is a Hero

S like over Rover the famous dog superhero ever hear of

him no huh well uh let me tell you about him

Sizzle what if they can't get us down NZ will you forget that see see the story

of overover is at first he was just a cute little stuffed toy but but then

these chemicals got on him and he became real he came to life isn't that exciting SZ isn't that the

I'm try not to worry Sizzle those kids know that we're up here nazzle

Sizzle H don't worry we're going to get you down

somehow see I told you but what if they can't get us down NZ impossible why why

that's the most unheard of thing that I've ever heard of then we'd be in real trouble

[Music] oh it was an accident you guys see we

didn't know they were up there when we sent the gear back up oh we know Julie it's nobody's fault oh I have to fix the

I think nuzzle and Sizzle are afraid to jump down what what's this k no daa these are

a very very exciting but uh what about um

you know what about all right hang on you guys

Sizzle well they tried yeah you have to give them that they always try yes oh if

only I really were W

Batman I'd throw my wom bolo onto the gear swing up and carry nuzzle and

Sizzle [Music] down wow that's really cool man yeah

yeah but but you know if I were weather man I just make a a a couple of little

tornadoes under my feet I fly them and bring them

down wow that will be fantastic Skye I know if you really could do it well well

if I were Sarah Bella I would have read their

mind [Music] really

I would have known that nuzzle and Sizzle were thinking of getting onto the wheel in the first place and I'd have

chased them off and this never would have

happened wow that's so cool Jordy but

um but what but we know now what you would do if you were comic book

superheroes but what would you do if you were Leon Skye and Jodie oh uh well uh

first we need real heroes not just cartoons and I know someone we can call

come on yeah oh you go ahead I want to help them keep an eye on nuzzle and Sizzle oh me too Jody come on okay okay

okay come on Julie weebus please call Robert Townsen he played a superhero in

a movie wow wow Mr Townson hi it's Julie woo we're

all here at the puzzle place hey everybody how's it going kind of terrible see nule and

Sizzle are trapped on a big gear up near the ceiling and we can't get it to come

down yeah so we need a superhero like you maybe but Mr Townson where's your

costume uh Julie I don't have a costume I'm not really a superhero I just played

a character in a movie it was all pretend well then do you know any real

superheroes we could call Julie there are no superheroes all that stuff with

the capes the flying the Fantastic costumes that's really fun and exciting

but it's make believe in the real world there's nobody like that wait a minute

you mean there aren't any Heroes anywhere in the world oh there are plenty of real heroes Leon but you have

to know where to look for them I mean they can't fly but they can do wonderful things they take action they go beyond

what everyone expects every day all over the world regular people are doing

incredible things firefighters have to be brave and face real dangers the same

goes for police officers rescue workers have to be fast and careful to save

people in trouble when people are in danger at Sea the Coast Guard has to help them make it

back safely when there's a disaster these everyday Heroes have to understand how

others are feeling because people who have been through a earthquake or a flood need a special kind of help and

sometimes these Heroes don't face any danger but they come through for the people that really need them when

someone helps you like that you never forget them real

heroes well okay I mean they're great but I don't know anybody like that I bet

you do Leon you think of somebody you know who's done something Brave or who's

been really kind to other people or who's tried to help make people's lives better that's what real heroes do they

solve problems they're sensitive to people and they don't give up got it

yeah I think we got it but now will you come and rescue nuzzle and Cil please

yeah yeah Kiki you can do that for yourselves you already already know real

heroes and you can be like them I got to go good luck bye wait Mr Townson come

back how can we be like real heroes when we don't know any hey how about you do you know any

Heroes my hero is eie white the writer my mom because she brought me

into this world and she's fun to be with my father because he managed my baseball

team my music teacher is my role model and hero because he taught me everything I know my hero is a policeman Arthur

Mitchell because he's a ballet dancer and he's the one to start Dance Theater problem I like took up to a lot of

female athletes my hero is Martin Luther King because uh cuz I like the way he

stand up for his rights those kids make a lot of sense you know those people are

heroes nuzzle and Sizzle are really scared now but Robert Townsen told us that we

could be heroes too we just have to think of Heroes we know mhm we know what do we need right now

a hero right but how many gals and how many guys with capes on their backs can

fly through the sky to save nuzzle and Sizzle right now

zero but maybe we know someone who does what needs to be done a policeman who

helped when our car broke down the volunteer fireman in our town the lifeu

guard at our swimming pool The Crossing Garden our way to school my math teacher

Mr Shapiro huh he stays after school and

helps kids who are having trouble with math he's a hero yeah who solves

problems and doesn't surrender a hero who rolls up her sleeves or snaps his

suspenders a hero who is the Regular Joe or Jane by day or by night in snow or in

rain rain who helps other people and doesn't complain a hero who starts right

in and doesn't stop a hero who put the bop in the Bop Shoop Shoop a hero who

puts the be in bravery who puts the U in community what do we think we can be our

hero okay so how do we start well what did Mr Townsen say he said Heroes solve

problems and that's what we are going to do Benny Julie let's go fix that gear

you got it yeah he also said heroes are as sensitive to people or animals Le jod

we have to help nuzzle and Sizzle feel less afraid yeah oh yeah and heroes

don't give up so we won't give up right right hold on nuzzle and Sizzle help is

on in the way

yes okay this is broken enough can we put it back

on I don't think so- well then we have to find another

way to do what this broken lever used to do M yeah we need something to turn that

thing uh I cut

it wow we won't do any good just to tell them not to worry well we've got to try to calm them

down right right I know rockby baby on the treetop come on

when the wind blows the cradle will rock when B breaks

the what are they singing We are not babies yeah yeah but it's such a

beautiful song Sizzle doesn't it doesn't it just make you all relaxed and kind of

kind

my Hero's strong my Hero's fast my Hero's first he never comes in last

everybody needs one they're really great to have a

hero mine he home runs mine saves lots of lives mine puts out fires mine hugs

me when I cry everybody's got one times they're hard to find a

hero you don't have to wear a cape or dress up like a bat no need to be part

dinosaur no he takes more than that Heroes have great courage they try with

all their might to always do their best and stand up for what is right my heroes

Brave mine's a leader he's a friend she's there when I need her anyone can

be one even you and me my
