uh-uh oh U macaroni salad try pickled

herring oh sure I've tried pickled

hering that's what's in the bag you

brought pickled herring to a picnic my

dad always brings pickled herring oh and

I love it so um do you know where we're

going well no remember yesterday we

decided that today we would

decide so many places to

go hey how about you tell us where do

you go when you go on a picnic

H I like the picnic and campgrounds

where you can put up tents probably my

backyard it would have lakes rocks

around it lots of

flowers a place where you can spread out

your blanket and have a barbecue a

little island surrounded by water

animals and birds and palm trees a park

that has monkey bars a slide and

something when you walk on it it Wiggles

a basketball court a tennis court and a

um

pool wow those are great places but you

know I don't care where we go oh me

neither say Leon we really should put

this food in the refrigerator until it's

time to leave yeah and then we can get

the picnic stuff together good

idea uh Jody yeah pickled herring huh

sure regular or sour cream sour

cream yes all right a birding we will go

a birding we will go

oh almost ready I'm getting together all

the equipment for my favorite hobby

napping bird watching I always do that

on a picnic oh you don't say yeah I've

never done that on a picnic before sis I

mean I've done baloney sandwich watching

and piece of apple pie falling on the

ground watching a little bit of

mayonnaise on so I hear you NZ gotcha NZ

would you like me to teach you how to go

bird watching um oo uh will I get to use

those binoculars these oh yeah

definitely okay but you know Sizzle I

think I already know how to go bird

watching sure yeah see you go into the

woods right uh and you look for a bird

yeah and then when you see one you yell

out hey bird watch it

right

don't Julie hey ready for the picnic

more than ready I brought my favorite

picnic food yeah my grandma W calls them

Chu chub B which means pork bun

oh hey they look really good Julie but

um where's the pork Oh Skye it's already

inside there

yeah when you make pork buns you start

by making dough you'll need a couple of

cups of

flour then add in yeast and

water this makes the dough

rise

then you mix it up with your

hands that's called kneading the dough

it's so ooy and

gooey Now cover it up and wait for it to

rise just look at the dough now it's all

big and

puffy meanwhile the roasted pork is put

into a

bowl you pour in a little sesame oil

some oy

sauce and soy sauce to make it

salty add a dash of sugar to make it a

tiny bit

sweet now stir it all together using

Chopstick M this is going to be so

good here's how the pork gets inside the

bun just wrap it

up now the pork buns are ready to cook

put them in a

steamer and in just a few minutes

they're all

done wow I can't wait to eat them boy

Julie they do look good and they'll go

great with this corn corn Sky it's still

all wrapped up inside the h

oh I know Julie it's for fire roasting

oh when grandfather roasts corn he

starts with a wood

fire the fire is hot so he's very

careful Shala places the corn right into

the

flames

each ear of corn Cooks right inside its

own

husk soon the corn on the cob is roasted

and ready to

eat M it's always juicy and

sweet I love roasted

corn yes roasted corn is perfect for our

picnic in the mountains did you say

mountains uhhuh I love the mountains you

do yeah we've had some of our best

family picnics in the mountains all

right Julie we both love the mountains

Mountain oh I can't wait for you to see

my mountains Julie I can just imagine it

now so quiet you can hear the whistling

of the breeze as it dances over the

grass and and off in the distance The

Cry of a lone Hawk as it circles its

territory wait a minute oh and it's so

clear it's almost like you can you can

see around the whole world oh and and

the and the sky it's so blue the clouds

they seem just close enough to reach out

and touch them oh the air smells like

pine trees and and oh yeah the pine

cones crunch underfoot where's the

ranger station sometimes it huh oh what

Ranger Station well the ranger station

that has all the trail maps that shows

where the picnic tables are picnic

tables well Julie there are no picnic

tables on a

mountain there are on my Mountain I can

just see it now my mountain is covered

with a giant redwood forest yeah the

park rangers take you out on nature

walks they tell you where the cute

little forest animals live hi Bunny and

what they eat and where they you mean

you don't know there are hiking trails

and picnic tables what is so great about

a picnic table well what are we supposed

to eat on the ground well what's wrong

with eating on the ground it's dirty

dirty yeah it's made a dirt isn't it

besides bugs live in it but bugs are a

part of nature Julie she whiz if you

don't want bugs don't go on a

picnic sky where are you going to the

greenhouse to visit the

hi KiKi oh hi Benny are you ready for

the picnic hi sure am but uh I don't

know if this

is Minnie it's all all green with white

little things floating in it yeah are

you sure this is food and we can eat it

of course I'm sure it's food it's

delicious this is lime green gelatin

with tiny mini marshmallows floating in

it yum it is

delicious yum but um it's still very

watery mhm yeah it has to get real cold

before it gets all jiggly and Wiggly and

bouncy so I have to put it in a

refrigerator mm so uh what' you bring oh

Benny this are the

bestas

bitas wow I don't think I've ever eaten

fajitas before no how do you make them

oh it's really easy Benny and there

delicious

yum m

start by cooking lots of peppers and

onions on the grill they smell so good

next barbecue the steak listen to it

cooking make sure it's brown on both

sides it looks so

good

now take a nice big tortilla then pile

on the steak and onions and

pepper o don't forget the

tomatoes and sour cream

please here's the best part roll it up

and eat

it I love faitas love faitas m

terrific but um you know maybe we should

put your

delicious faitas in the refrigerator

along with my delicious lime green

it you know until we leave well that's a

see a bird you write down in your

notebook the day the time the place the

kind of bird it is and any sort of

comments you might have about itel I see

birding not about

know where I live the park is way out on

the edge of town you can imagine it it's

near the woods and look over there

there's a huge Meadow and a fishing pond

and we have races that we run oh it's

wonderful we have such a good time but

Benny there's no music and it's way

outside town yeah but that's better than

being in a park

downtown I'm going to check on my lime

green gelatin with tiny mini

marshmallows in it well I'm going to

check my fita excuse me excuse me excuse
