And now the mickey mouse club presents...

Today's episode...

Well, at least this is a little better

than riding on the back of that hot rod.

Where are we now?

This is bermondsey.

Not awfully nice, is it?

Heh. You can have it for your birthday.

I wish we had our tortoise for prince charles' birthday.

Right now, I'd just settle for smith's mysterious package.

This sure is a downbeat end of town, and no fooling.

My father's had quite a number of fine m*rder cases here.

I can believe it.

Come on, let's go.

Tommy: for the information of all you dudes,

bond street here is one of the most famous places in the world

for men's clothes,

but don't ask for blue jeans

or a davy crockett cap.

They'll throw you out.

Good afternoon, sir.

Uh, good afternoon.

Uh, I want a suit for my boy.

Excellent. Do you know the size, sir?

No. He's about so high

and about so wide.

And the young gentleman's weight, sir?

Well about, uh, 105 pounds.

That would be, um...

Uh, 7 stone and a bit.

Something for sports, perhaps?

Oh, no. He's dressed for sports from morning till night.

Naw, this is for a very snooty occasion.

If I knew the occasion,

I might be able to prescribe the costume.

Well, my, uh, son has been invited to tea with general sir john stuart.

Oh, well, then, we must be very selective, must we not?

But I do wish your son were here.

So do i. You know, these glad rags have gotta fit.

Evening paper.

Hey, wait a minute.

Hey, you know, he's somewhere about the size of my boy.

Why, he may be a bit taller,

but I think we can use him for a dummy.

Hey, lemme go. I ain't no dummy.

Now, wait a minute, son.

Look, here. Here's 4 bits.

How about trying on a suit for us, huh?

Cor. Righto, gov'nor.

Pity we haven't time to give him a bath.

I'm not taking no bath for half a pound.

Come on.

Put these on.

Of course he'll want a trilby, too.

Well, whatever a trilby is, he won't want it,

but if it's a proper thing, he'll wear it.

Or else.

Would you want something for yourself, sir,

for the general's tea?

Oh, no, no. I'm not invited.

If I was, I'd go in dress uniform.

I'm captain rogers, united states air force.

Oh. I see.

Here.

How about me papers?

Me customers is waiting.

Here's another 4 bits, son.

I suppose we'll have to try the hat on, too.

Ok, I'll give you a check.

How much is all this fiddle-faddle?

Now, let me see.

That will be £14, 2 shillings and sixpence, sir.

Oh, by the way,

can you tell me where I can buy a turtle?

A turtle, sir?

Yeah.

I just thought you might know, that's all.

Ah. I don't offhand,

unless it could be a pet shop.

But I'm afraid they're closed on saturday afternoons.

Oh, you might try the shepherd's bush market.

Ok.

Hey! Hey!

Oh!

He's right.

He's no dummy.

Oh, i--i'm dreadfully distressed, sir,

but I scarcely see how the boy

was really your employee, and--

nobody's blaming anybody.

It was a good idea that backfired, that's all.

Go ahead. Fill 'er up.

That would be £28, 5 shillings, sir.

There it is,

"rennies wharf,

limehouse reach."

You think that was toby jug?

Could be. He's big and fat.

There's only one way to find out. Come on.

That isn't toby jug.

[Roar]

clint: "bengal tiger.

London zoo."

What do we do now?

We've gotta find a way out of here

without being seen. Come on.

Ain't he a real beauty, sir?

He's the very best tortoise I've got.

Why is the turtle on its back?

He's taking his nap, sir.

How much?

Well, seeing as you're an american,

30 shillings.

Well, I haven't got time to argue.

Go ahead. I'll take it.

Ha ha.

Ah.

Well, how am I gonna get him home?

Put him under your arm.

There. You'll be a walking attraction.

Yeah, yeah, I'll bet I will.

Tommy: if captain rogers could only know

what's going on a few yards away in shepherd's bush market,

he would sure be very interested.

Remember the bookworm, smith's partner?

Well, he's the latest on the list of suspects

to be rounded up and brought in to scotland yard

for questioning.

Tommy: although it's late saturday afternoon,

inspector atkins is still working.

A thorough grilling of the bookworm, though,

doesn't get him any nearer to solving the mystery of the missing manuscript.

Then suddenly, the old guy makes a boo-boo.

Aiming to creep into favor,

he let slip that his new errand boy is inspector macintosh's son.

When thomas says that he saw clint and mac

leaving the bookworm's shop a few hours earlier,

atkins thinks it's time to bring in mac's father.

When inspector macintosh hears the latest,

he's more than a little worried

and immediately decides to do some checking.

Macintosh here.

Get me my home.

Thomas, lock him up.

Right, sir.

I was hoping, inspector macintosh,

my being your son's employer,

you might help me out of this...

Ridiculous situation.

Hello, hello?

Is alistaire there, dear?

My son and his friend have not returned.

Radio: ...undershirt, blue jeans, tennis shoes.

These boys were last seen in the shepherd's bush market

and are believed to have delivered a wrapped package

looking like a large book or portfolio to captain--

! Anybody home?

Ha ha! You weren't home, so i--

radio: if you see these boys,

notify inspector macintosh on x-b-7-0-8.

Clint is missing.

The police are searching for him.

Alistaire, too.

Missing? W--

well, where are they?

We don't know.

The police just sent out a bulletin.

W-what do I do?

Hurry down to inspector macintosh's office.

Here, hang on to this, will you?

Maybe that's a way out.

I wonder where it goes.

Who cares? Just so long as it's out.
