[Dr. Wedlind] Oh, there can be
no doubt this is a specimen

of genus isolatus slinkalonkis.

The elusive and very shy
solitary tree shrewzle.

But Dr. Wedlind,
I thought tree shrewzles

were practically extinct.

[Cruella] So did everyone, darling.

There hasn't been one
spotted locally for ages.

Until now.

When Ms. De Vil told me
she took this photo on your farm,

I nearly wept for joy!

Wait... wait a minute,

you were taking photos
on our farm?

Well, it's amazing
what you can stumble across

with a super-telescopic
anamorphic night vision lens.

Scam alert. Total scam alert.

Cruella's up to something.

How interesting,

a tree shrewzle living right here.

Interesting?

It's one of mother nature's
miracles unfolding

before our very eyes!

Of course, being endangered,

the shrewzle's habitat
will have to be protected.

Protected?

By environmental law, Rotter.

Living so close
to such a delicate creature

will require you
to make a few, uh, adjustments.

Tell him, Doctor.

Under penalty of law,
you will be required

to [clears throat]
whisper when you talk,

tip-toe when you walk,

unplug all of your
electrical appliances,

and trade in your cars for llamas.

Since the tree shrewzle
is nocturnal,

you must curtail all activity
during its daylight sleep cycle

and for the three months
of its mating season,

you'll have to wear blindfolds.

Well, I suppose we'd be willing
to make a few concessions.

Of course, a creature
as shy as the tree shrewzle

could never, ever tolerate

the presence of 101
spotty, yappy mongrels.

Oh, yes, dogs would be
a definite no-no.

What did I tell ya?

Here we go.

We will never give up our dogs!

Then you'll just have
to vacate the property!

The only feasible solution
is for me to buy your farm

and turn it
into a tree shrewzle sanctuary.

Sell the... the farm?

Look, we love animals
as much as anyone,

but before we give up our home,

we'll need more proof
than a blurry photograph.

I too would thrill
to see the shrewzle.

It would be the crowning
achievement of my career in the wild.

Well then, let's all
meet back here tonight.

We'll just go out
and take a look-see

at this shrewzle for ourselves.

[birds chirp]

Aw, if there was
a real shrewzle around here,

I woulda smelled it.

Shrewzle's a very distinct odor.

It's, it's more gamey than squirrel

and it's, it's less musky
than a raccoon.

It's, it's kind of like a beaver

but a little less mildewy.

Well, Cruella sure seemed confident
that one would show up.

A little too confident.

If you ask me, this is
just a shrewzle bamboozle,

and we're gonna prove it.

[puppies bark]

Hear that?

There isn't a square inch
on this farm

a shrewzle could show his snout
and not be seen.

Great. Now what do we do?

We wait and stay alert.

[snore]

[distant howling]

[yawns]

[tutts]

[howling]

[screams] Shrewzle alert!

[pant]

The bark came from around here.

-Where ya been?
-[screams]

[scream]

That shrewzle
you're so hot to find

climbed up the silo
ten minutes ago.

[gasps] Look! There!

Halfway up!

Well I'll be, it's a...

[Cruella] A solitary tree shrewzle.

[gasp]

See? Up there in the tower.

That's a tree shrewzle?

That's isolatus
slinkalonkis all right.

Oh, isn't he magnificent?

Astonishing!

I've never seen that behavior
described in the literature!

This is sublime!

Aren't they supposed to be shy?

[Cruella] Well, that's enough.
Mustn't upset the timid little fellow.

Well, seeing is believing.

Everybody back to the house.
We have business to attend to.

You did keep my contract
to buy the farm, Rutger?

Oh, no. I'm not gonna sign
till I have a lawyer to look it over.

Maybe two.

[Cruella] Well, tomorrow then,
and no later.

We must consider
the animal's welfare at all costs!

Did you see that?

How did Cruella know
the shrewzle would be here?

Yeah, and that shrewzle
acted pretty squirrelly if you ask me.

It doesn't smell right either.

It smells like... [sniffs]

...polyester?

[grunts]

He's sneaking away!

Quick! Follow that shrewzle!

[clucks, bark]

[grunts]

[clucks, bark]

Where'd he go?

[whimpering]

[whimpers]

Well, that clever shrewzle
certainly gave us the slip, all right.

Huh?

Guess we better call it a night.

Why are you yelling?

Trust me, guys.

Let's go home.

[Spot] Okay.

[grunts]

[snickers] Gotcha.

[distant howling]

[grunts]

[yelps]

It's Scorch
in a shrewzle costume!

I knew it was a scam!

Am I a genius or what?

How do we tell
Roger and Anita?

We only have till tomorrow.

That's when they sell the farm.

No way! We'll just have
to come up with a counter-scam.

Hey! Hey! What's going on?

It's for the observation lab.

No shrewzle sanctuary
would be complete without one.

No, not so fast.

This isn't a sanctuary yet.

This is still my home. [grunts]

At least, it is
for the next 20 minutes

or whenever Cruella
gets here with the check.

[snores]

[mumbles]

Huh?

[vocalizes]

Ah...

[vocalizes]

[screams]

[thump]

Huh?

There. That oughta hold him.

Oh, quick! Help me get into this!

[grunts]

I want to do this
as sensitively as possible.

Get out.

[screams]

-What?
-[Roger] It's the tree shrewzle!

No! It's not possible!

The tree shrewzle?
During the day?

[grunts]

Fascinating. It looks like
he's beckoning to us.

Well, he's, he's obviously suffering
from mad shrewzle disease.

-Ignore him.
-No.

When nature calls,
we must answer.

Cherchez la shrewzle!

Oh, this is ludicrous.

Shush!

[gasps] Over there!

Ooh, ooh, watch your step. Ooh.

Oh well, we lost him.
Let's go back.

[Lucky whistles]

Hey, no!

Ugh. [mutters]

[Dr. Wedlind] I'm sure
I saw him dart this way.

[Cruella] But this is my backyard!

He wouldn't dare come here.

Shush!

-Sha-na-na-na-na!
-[Dr. Wedlind] There he is!

But it's not done yet!

Close enough!

[Dr. Wedlind] Oh joy!

He's built a nest!

He's established
a home, Ms. De Vil.

Imagine these wondrous creatures

returning to our little slice
of the eco pie.

Where he builds it,
we shall come.

We will set up
the sanctuary here.

[stammers] My, my home?

A sanctuary?

Aw, it won't be so bad, Cruella.

You'll just have to make
a few adjustments.

Whisper when you talk...

Tip-toe when you walk...

-Unplug your appliances...
-[giggles]

[Anita] Sell your cars...

[Roger] And don't forget the blindfold!

Somehow I expect this shrewzle
may be migrating soon.

-Very soon.
-It's possible.

Shrewzles remain
one of nature's enigmas.

Mysterious, unfathomable.

-[barking]
-That's odd.

This one seems to have made friends
with some of the local fauna.

Fascinating!

[distant stomping]

-Huh?
-[gasps]

[Cadpig] All hail Lucky,

[puppies] All hail Lucky!

All hail Lucky!

All hail Lucky!
All hail Lucky!

Lucky? Lucky!

Huh? What?

Come on, it's dinnertime!

Let's go before the kibble's gone!

[puppies bark]

Why are you looking
at me like that?

Like what? [giggles]

Help! Help!

Won't someone save me
from the evil king?

Fear not, Princess Pigpunzel!

Oh, my knight in shining armor!

Comin' at ya!

[gasps]

Love to chat, but it's chow time.

[creaks]

Whoa!

-Whoa!
-Oh!

Hey!

Sorry about that, Dumpling.

[gasps] You saved my life.

My hero! [sighs]

I don't know if I'd use
the word "hero" exactly.

It was just an accident.

That was the bravest thing
anyone has ever done!

You have my undying gratitude.

Forever.

You done saved my little princess.

Son, you're tops in my book.

Whoa!

Three cheers for Lucky!

Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!

[mooing]

[man on TV] Ah, the smell,

the texture and the taste.

Yes, nothing beats gravy

made with artificial monkey fat.

Can't we watch something
besides The Gravy Channel?

Uh-uh. It's my turn
to watch what I want:

Giblets: The Movie.

[gasps]

Move over, tubby.

When Lucky's watching TV,
it's always his turn.

[growls]

[man] Yeowch!

[Thunderbolt growls, chomps]

So where's your ham honey,
hero boy? [snickers]

She's not my honey,
so why don't you beat it, Mooch?

Why don't you make me,
Lucky-butt?

[both growl, grunt]

[growls]

Leave my precious alone, you brute.

That's it!

I'm not your precious,
I'm not your hero,

and I don't need you
standing up for me all the time.

I didn't even mean to save you.

Oh, you're just being modest.

So like a true hero.

No, it was a freak accident.

Well, like it or not,
I am grateful.

Now come along.

It's muddy time.

[mooing]

Yoo-hoo!

Lucky!

Where's my barkin' hero
sandwich of love?

Time for your mud bath!

This is so degrading.

[Dumpling] Where is my big,
strong mud puppy?

[panting]

[animal chatter]

[footsteps]

There you are!

Shh! Don't let her find me!

Dumpling is using her gratitude
to control your life.

Being worshiped like a hero
is totally different

from what I imagined.

It's a nightmare.
My life isn't my own anymore.

Face it, Lucky.

As long as Dumpling thinks
she owes you one,

you're stuck with her.

Rolly, that's brilliant!

All I have to do
is even the score!

I'll just arrange
for Dumpling to save my life

and then she'll have
to leave me alone!

[mooing]

[wails]

[grunts]

Okay, when I give the signal,
Rolly opens the door

and you two push the wagon
out of the barn toward me.

Then, Dumpling
will save my life, and bingo!

I'm a free dog again!

Uh, what if Dumpling
doesn't save you?

That's what the rope's for,

to stop the wagon
if anything goes wrong.

Here she comes.

Hi, Dumpling.

Nice day, huh?

It certainly is, snookums.

Oh, look.

Dumpling, do my eyes deceive me?

An out-of-control wagon
headed our way!

What? [screams]

Come on, Dumpling. Save me.

[all scream]

Come on, I know you can do it.

[stammers]

Come on, Dumpling!

[group screams]

[scream]

You saved my life again.

Now I know how deep
your true feelings are.

I should've let the wagon hit me.

[mooing]

[Lucky] This is w*r!

Dumpling's gonna save my life,

and this time,
even she's not gonna mess it up.

Lucky, I'm sensing hostility here.

You should open up
a can of humility

and spread it on your issues.

I'm gonna take Dumpling
on a picnic.

Rolly, I want you
to put on this disguise.

When you jump out and scare us,
she'll save me.

So he's disguised
as ladies accessories?

Not accessories, an alligator.

[bark]

I'm so glad
my little pupkin's decided

to take me out for a picnic.

[gasps] There!
That's what we need:

flowers for a centerpiece!

I sure hope Dumpling
rescues Lucky from me fast.

Alligator skin just doesn't breathe.

Oh no, I'm stuck.

This is one little piggy

who won't play along
with Lucky's game.

It's nice that we're finally alone.

Hopefully not for long.

[roars]

There you are. Great costume.

Now come at me
like you're gonna eat me.

This is too easy.

[roars]

[snoring lightly]

[gulps] You're not Rolly.

You're S... S...
Steven the alligator!

[sighs] Nice try, guys,

but that is the stupidest costume
I have ever seen.

Get! Me! Out!

[chuckles] Yeah, right.

Give me a break.

[grunts]

[screams]

Run, Dumpling!

How cute, you're savin' me again.

-[Steven growls]
-Now you've gone too far!

You can dress up like a lizard,
you can even scare me,

but nobody...

...nobody messes with my lunch.

[growls] Grr!

That's okay, Rolly.

Dumpling just saved me
from a real alligator.

Your services won't be needed.

But I worked so hard
on my costume.

[gasps] That was a real alligator?

Oh, I could have been
eaten alive!

Why didn't you save me?

Because you saved me.

I did?

But, but, but I didn't mean
to save you. [chuckles]

It just... It doesn't count.

Sorry, like it or not,

we're even.

I'm not anybody's hero!

What a relief.

Oh, come on.

Best two out of three?

[gasps] Don't. Move.

Oh!

Rolly, you saved my life.

I am indebted to you forever.

[laugh nervously]
I just remembered,

I gotta get my distemper shot.

Outta here!
