Since no one
in this misbegotten town
has the backbone to stop ye,
it looks like that task falls to me.
[chicken clucks]

To keep the world safe
from his wickedness--
that is the evil De Vil--
may this whole miserable village
vanish from the face of the Earth,
only to return for one day
every 100 years.
And may the townsfolk be bewitched
and mindlessly happy,
just to make De Vil
all the more miserable
in comparison.
