- I have astronomically exciting
news.

It's Space Week!

- I'd love to meet an awesome
alien from outer space.

That would be out of this world!

[all giggling]

- Your homework this
evening is stargazing.

- So basically, homework is
stay up way after bedtime.

[students laughing]
- Yeah!

- Also...

I'd like you to make or
find something outer spacey

to show the class later in the
week.

- I want to make a rocket
from recycling stuff.

What's your space project
going to be, Isadora?

- Um...

I don't know.

[bell ringing]

I'll ask my dad to help.

Vampires are really into
nighttime stuff.

- Behold, the moon!

So glorious and wondrous that
they named it after my family!

[laughs]

Yes. See, that pattern of
stars is called the Plow.

Those three stars make Orion's
Belt,

although no sign of
Orion's Trousers. [laughs]

Ooh! What was that?

- Is it a sh**ting star?

- I think so.

[gasps]

There's another one!

- It's going to land in the
park!

Dad, can we go and look for it?

It can be my space project.

Never say no to a night flight.

[mysterious music]

- There it is!

Huh?

Is the sh**ting star moving
around?

- Yes, it is.

[ethereal music]

- Ugh.

Maybe it's an alien.

[mysterious music]

What if it's a bad-tempered,
scary alien space beast?

- Fear not.

My finely tuned and
exquisitely shaped vampire ears

tell me it sounds worried, not
cross.

[Isadora sighs]

- Ooh!

I think whoever it is needs
help.

[spooky music]

- Ganymede!

Oh!

[Nova shouts]

Humans!

[Dad shouts]

- My hair!

- Go away!

Leave me alone!

I do not like humans.

- Well, we're not humans,

just a nice, ordinary
vampire and vampire fairy.

I'm Isadora Moon, and this is my
dad.

- I'm Nova.

I'm a Glow Sprite from planet
Aurelia.

I really want to get back home,

but I have to find Ganymede
first.

- We'll help you. Won't we, Dad?

- Oh, yes! Immediately, if not
sooner.

Um, question. Who's Ganymede?

- My moon cat.

We were playing
hide-and-seek in the stars,

and we got separated.

- Is your moon cat golden and
glowy?

- Yes!

How did you know?

- Well, good news!

We saw Ganymede fall to
earth right before you did.

But bad news.

We have absolutely no idea
where Ganymede landed.

[Nova sighs]

[thunder crashes]

- Uh-oh. There's rain on the
way.

We should go.

- Dad! What about Ganymede?

Ganymede? Ganymede?

- It's okay.

Ganymede would rather play
hide-and-seek in the rain

than come inside.

Cheeky moon cat.

- If you're sure Ganymede's
okay,

why don't you come home with us,
Nova?

- Oh, what a fabulous idea.

[thunder crashes]

As soon as the rain passes,

we'll start the great Ganymede
search.

[mysterious music]

- Enjoy your cheese toasties!

- Glow Sprites do not like Earth
cheese.

Mm!

So delicious!

- We've never met a Glow
Sprite before, Nova.

Tell us everything!

- We live on a beautiful sparkly
planet,

which would get ruined by
noisy, messy Earth tourists

if humans knew about us.

Everyone on Aurelia says humans

are completely mean and
annoying.

- That's not true!

I've got loads of great human
friends.

Maybe you should give people a
chance.

After all, I thought you might
be bad tempered and scary,

but then I got to know you
and saw I was totally wrong.

- [Mom] Time for bed, you two.

- Okay.

Oh!

While Mom and Dad look
for Ganymede tomorrow,

you can come to school with me.

- No way!

I will not like Earth school.

But all my friends were
stargazing tonight,

so one of them might know
where Ganymede landed.

- Well, okay. I'll come.

But there's one thing
we'll have to do first.

- Great to meet you, Nova!

I'm Zoe. Loving the hat.

- Isn't it a bit hot, though?

[Nova gasps]

- It's fine.

- You could take it off.

I don't want your friends
to know I'm a Glow Sprite.

We don't like humans,
and they won't like me.

I'm a vampire fairy,

and me and my human
friends, we love each other.

[all cheer]

- These space projects are
shaping up cosmically well.

- What's yours going to be,
Isadora?

- Um...

I still don't know.

Nova and I had a kind of busy
night.

- Well, you've picked a great
day to visit our class, Nova.

We're going to hear what
wonders everybody saw

in the sky last night.

- I saw three pigeons, Miss!

- I saw seven!

- Fascinating.

Did anyone see anything
that wasn't a pigeon?

- I saw two sh**ting stars.

They were beautiful.

The blue one fell in the park,

and the gold one landed
somewhere in the forest.

[Isadora and Nova gasp]

- [Both] The forest!

[automobile bubbling]

- I'm sorry, Nova.

We've searched all over
town, but we haven't found-

- [Both] He's in the forest!

- My dad says I can come and
look for the star with you.

- Great!

Whoa!

- You want her to come with us?

But she's a...

She's a human.

- Yes! And an amazing friend,
too.

She did tell us where to look.

- Well, [sighs] okay.

If you're sure she won't do
anything mean or annoying.

- You do know I can hear you,

- [BatNav] You have
reached your destination.

- [Dad] Oh, thank you, BatNav.

- Okay. Let's get searching.

Where are you?

- We are looking for a star,
right?

- Well, it's not exactly a star.

- Ganymede, where are you?

- Oh, Ganymede?
- Ganymede!

- Come on, Ganymede!

[Sashi gasps]

- I saw golden glow!

- Thanks, Sashi.

- Me too! And I'm really good at
it.

[Sashi giggles]
