to be excited to learn

we are having a cake baking
competition.

- And the first prize will be
two tickets

to watch the finale of the TV
show, Sponge and Sprinkles!

[students gasp]

- [squeals] The baking
show with Whippy McFluff!

Everyone likes to bake for
a special occasion. So..."

- [All] Let's bake the
world a better place.

[all laugh]

- Okay, settle down.

I suggest you work with a
partner

and bring your cakes in on
Monday morning.

- I'm with you, Isadora.

- JJ, let's make a strawberry
cake.

- A strawberry dinosaur with
crunchy claws and teeth.

[JJ growls]

- Um, does it have to
taste like a dinosaur?

- Yeah.

- Ew! Ours is going to taste
of rainbows and happiness.

We are so going to win.

- No way. We are going to win.

- No, I think you'll
find we're going to win!

winner, dino dinner. [laughs]

- Our cake is definitely going
to win.

[Isadora and Zoe laughing]

Uh, looks like a sad tortoise.

- Oh.

- What if you did a teeny bit
of magic to make it bigger?

- Isn't that cheating?

- No. It'll only be like
we used more ingredients.

- Okay. I suppose.

- Yay! [giggle]

Smells good. Might be a bit big.

- You think? Hold on.

Now let's make this cake a
winner!

- Ta-da! We bake the world a
better place.

- Yes, but will it be good
enough

to beat JJ and Oliver's dinosaur
cake?

- I don't know, but we did our
best.

Don't you think it needs
more rainbows and sparkles?

- But we don't have any.

- You have a magic wand though.

- I guess rainbows would look
nice.

[gasps] That's amazing! You're
amazing!

Just a few more sparkles?

- I'm sure that's cheating.

- No, we're just being creative.

That's what baking's all about.

[Isadora sighs]

- Okay. Just a few more
sparkles.

- Amazing. You're the best,
Isadora!

- Fine.

[Zoe gasps]

- Oh yeah. Oh yeah. We're
gonna win. We're gonna win.

[giggles] Make it bigger! More
sparkles!

- Really?

- No point in stopping now.

[Isadora sighs]

Nice. Some more just there.

Just once more? A teeny
bit more sparkle over here.

- What?

- Please!

- This is the absolute
total last time though.

- Abso-defo-lutely.

We are definitely going to win.

[Isadora sighs]
[Zoe laughs]

- Whoa! What a sensational cake.

I didn't realize we had all
that glittery rainbow stuff

in the cupboard. Well done!

- Thanks, Dad.

- Yeah, thanks.

- Right, girls. 10 more minutes
and then it's time for bed.

- [Zoe] Okay, Dad!

Isadora, we did it.

Sponge and Sprinkles, here we
come!

- Zoe, I don't think we should

enter our cake in the
competition.

- What? Why? We're going to win.

- I don't think we should win
by using magic. It's cheating.

- We only used a bit of magic.

- It was more than bit. Look at
it.

[glorious music]

- Amazing, isn't it?

[Isadora sighs]

Isadora. We have to enter the
cake.

You know how much I love Whippy
McFluff.

[Isadora sighs]

- Fine.

- Wee! [giggles]

[Zoe snores]

[Isadora sighs]

- Yoo-hoo! Isadora.

- Dad, what are you doing here?

- Just a friendly fly-by to
see how the sleepover's going.

- I can't sleep.

- Excellent. Ah, the best
thing about being a vampire.

- Dad, it's not. I can't
sleep because, well...

- Oh no. Something's troubling
you.

Why don't you come for a fly

and we can talk about it?

- Thanks, Dad.

You see, Dad, I think using
magic to win is cheating.

But Zoe really wants
to meet Whippy McFluff.

- Not the Whippy McFluff?

We shouldn't have used magic.

Sometimes I wish I was just
human

and couldn't even do fairy
magic.

- [sighs] Sometimes doing the
right thing

is harder than doing the wrong
thing.

No matter who you are.
Fairy, vampire, or human.

- I do want to do the right
thing, even if it's hard.

I'm going to tell Zoe
tomorrow. Thanks, Dad.

- No problem, my darling.

[high voice] Now go and bake the
world a better place.

- Oh, Dad.

[Zoe giggles]

- We can't lose. This cake is a
winner.

- Zoe, I don't want us

to enter this cake in the
competition.

[Zoe laughs]

- You're funny, Isadora.

- No, I mean it.

We can't enter a magic
cake. It's cheating.

- But I thought we agreed.

- It won't be fair to everyone
else if we win using magic.

- But then we won't get a
chance to see Whippy McFluff.

- Hmm. We might.

Let's bake another cake,
but this time without magic.

- Okay.

- It's perfect.

- How about just a few
teensy-weensy magic sprinkles?

[Isadora laughs]

- No, but the good news is

you and your dad can eat the
magic cake.

- [gasps] Did someone say cake?

[Isadora laughs]

[students laughing]

- [Isadora] Wow!

Ooh, that's good.

- Doesn't even taste like
dinosaur though.

- Actually, no one's
ever tasted a dinosaur

because they weren't alive
at the same time as people.

So it might be a T-Rex flavor.

- Actually it's triceratops
flavor.

- Well, it looks delicious.

Now, Isadora, where's your and
Zoe's cake?

- [Zoe] It's here!

[students gasp]

Ta-da!

- [JJ] Wow!
- [Oliver] Amazing!

- Oh no...

- Oh, it sparkles!
- Wow!

- Oh my word.

- This one was so much
better. Please don't be cross.

- Right. Now all the cakes are
in,

it's time for the results.

[Isadora sighs]

I would like to make special
mention

of JJ and Oliver's lovely
dinosaur cake.

I particularly love its big
tummy.

- That's 'cause he's just eaten
a caveman.

Nom-nom-nom.

- Actually it can't eat a
caveman

because dinosaurs weren't
alive...

- [All] At the same time as
people.

- [Both] We know.

[all laugh]

- But I was even more impressed
with all the hard work

that went into the winning cake,

which is, drum roll please...

[drumroll]

Isadora and Zoe's sparkly
rainbow cake!

- Yeah!
- [Oliver] That's amazing.

[students laugh]

- [Miss Cherry] And here are
your tickets

to the final of Sponge and
Sprinkles.

- [Both] Thank you.
[Zoe laughs]

- Well done to you both.

I so appreciate all your hard
work.

How on Earth did you do it?

- Um, we just worked really
hard, didn't we, Isadora?

[Isadora sighs]

- I'm looking forward to tasting

your lovely creations later.

But first, who's up for
a delicious history test?

[students groan]

- Me!

- Isadora?

Miss Cherry?

- Yes, Zoe?

- I'm sorry, Miss Cherry,

but we can't take the Sponge
and Sprinkles tickets.

- Why on Earth not?

- [Both] Huh?

- Because we didn't win fairly.

I persuaded Isadora to
do magic on our cake.

That's why it looks so amazing.

- [gasps] Really?

- What?
- [gasps] Oh no.

- Isadora didn't want to because
she knew it was cheating.

But I begged her because
I love Whippy McFluff

and it's all my fault. I'm
really sorry.

- Oh dear.

Is this true, Isadora?

Well, I'm disappointed that you
cheated,

but I'm very pleased that
you decided to own up.

Thank you. Doing the
right thing can be hard.

Well, now. What to do with the
tickets?

This is a cakey conundrum.

- No, it isn't. JJ and Oliver's
dinosaur cake was the best.

They should get the tickets.

- [gasps] Really?

- Yes, they should.

And that means I still win first
prize.

- You do?

- Yes. Having my friend back.

- [Isadora] Aww!

[Zoe laughs]

Dad was right.

Doing the right thing is hard

for fairy vampires and humans,

but it feels good.

- Well, as a reward for
doing the right thing,

perhaps a little cakey treat is
in order.

- I get to eat cake when it
isn't even my birthday? Yes!

A big slice of dinosaur for me,
please!

[all laugh]
