Huh?

What? Scarlett Belladonna?

- She's sh**ting a movie here?

- Thank you. Ciao.

- [shop assistant] Thank you!

- Oh!

[dials phone]

Hello, Martin, darling,

I'll be there in two minutes.

No need to panic.

[Rikki] Tell us.

What did you do then?

Well, nothing.

She got into her car.

- I didn't have time to speak.

- Man, I can't believe it.

She was right in front of you.

You could have called out.

If it had been Brad, I'd have

jumped right into his car.

Calm down. You know Cleo.

She's too shy for that.

Me? Shy? I don't even know

why you'd say that.

Either way, the amazing thing is

a movie sh**t in Dolphin City.

Scarlett Belladonna

and Brad Patinson.

Girls, I've got amazing news.

You'll never believe it.

Let me guess. Stars are in town

to sh**t a movie, right?

Yes, but there's more. I'm part

of the local film crew.

- [all] Huh?

- [Cleo] For real?

- Come on, Lewis. Please!

- Stop begging me!

- It's not my decision.

- Whose is it?

Zane's. His father

is a friend of the director

and Zane was hired to find

sh**ting locations out at sea.

[Zane] Take it easy, Martin.

No worries.

It'll all be arranged

before you know it.

Zane, wait up!

We wanted to ask you.

Shh! Yeah, sure thing, Martin.

I just left class.

I'll be there in 15 minutes.

Say hi to Brad and Scarlett.

Well, well,

what can I do for you ladies?

- Well, actually, we...

- We want to work on the movie.

Please, we'll do anything! Make

coffee, run errands, anything.

Whoa, hang on a sec. It's not

as simple as all that.

This is an international

movie sh**t. I just can't...

But this is a matter of

life and death.

You've just got to hire us.

Please, please, please.

Cleo, everybody

is looking at us.

Would you let go of me?

OK, I'll talk to Martin.

[both cheer]

I can't believe

this is happening.

OK. They're good-looking,

they're successful

and everybody loves them,

but this is craziness.

They're just people

like the rest of us.

You mean like me.

Because you girls are...

Are you for real? You should

have seen how you looked

when you heard that

Brad was in Dolphin City.

I think what's bothering you

is owing something to Zane.

You can think what you want.

I don't happen to be a member

of the screaming groupie club.

Who are you calling

screaming groupies?

I don't know

what could make you...

[phone rings]

Zane? Are you kidding?

You're really not kidding?

- [both cheer]

- He isn't kidding!

[Lewis] Rikki will have to learn

to be more punctual.

In the movie business,

you can't be late.

I'd be amazed

if she showed her face.

She'd rather step on a sea

urchin than owe Zane anything.

Come on, let's go.

Are you guys ready?

Where's Rikki? Isn't she coming?

Oh, you know how she is.

Headstrong, unpredictable.

That's Rikki.

What's the movie about, anyway?

It's called

Poseidon's Daughter.

It's a love story

about a fisherman

and a mermaid who saves him

from drowning.

You know the legends of sailors

who claim to see mermaids,

actually it turned out to be

manatees they were seeing.

Manatees?

That species of sea cows?

They don't even remotely

resemble mermaids.

OK, nobody forget

it's thanks to me

you're part of the crew,

so don't mess up.

Do exactly

what you're told to do.

Don't go hassling

Brad or Scarlett.

Cleo hassling Scarlett?

She's so shy she'll hardly be

able to look at her.

Would you stop saying that?

Why do you keep

insisting that I'm shy?

Because we like kidding you.

Come on, stop pouting.

[taunting]

[male] Cut it out.

Leave me alone!

- [Murray] No, no.

- [male] Let me through.

I don't think so, Jumbo.

Now it's time

to pay your toll.

You're going to be our sl*ve

till further notice.

- B-B-But why?

- Oh, yeah. Why, exactly?

- B-B-B...

- Because this surf is our turf.

Oh, yeah? And since when?

The sea belongs to everyone.

You're just a g*ng

of thieves and bullies.

Clear off and leave him alone.

Well, well,

looks like we got

a new sheriff in town.

Who's going to make us, girly?

Looks like it's

three against one.

N-N-N-Not so t-t-t-t...

Not so tough

without your little pals, huh?

[Dany] Little p-p-pals.

Little pals? Uh...

Well, how about my big one?

[all groan]

Oh! Sorry, I didn't mean

to hurt you.

Quick, let's get out of here.

[seethes]

[Burke] Get them!

- [all shout / choke]

- [Murray] It's hot!

[Burke] Burning!

Lucky you were there.

Those bullies weren't going

to let me leave.

My name's Augustus.

What's yours?

Rikki. Where were you headed?

To see my best friend, Marcel.

He invited me.

Marcel the grouper? I know him.

You're not from around here.

I've never seen anyone

who looks like you.

- What species are you?

- I'm a manatee.

I've never seen anyone

who looked like you, either.

Well, that's no surprise,

I'm a mermaid.

Augustus, it's been

just great meeting you.

- But I've got to go. So long!

- Bye-bye!

Oh, heck,

where have they gone?

OK, we're here.

Hey, Sandy, hang on a second.

This is Emma, Cleo and Lewis.

I'm sure you'll be able to find

them a few simple jobs to do.

Sure thing. As it happens,

I could use a few extra hands.

I can't see Martin

and our stars. Where are they?

[Sandy] Over there.

OK, Brad,

the scene is pretty simple.

Scott the fisherman has

just been saved by Isabelle.

He comes up to the surface,

but doesn't see her

and dives back down to search.

That's when he discovers

she's a mermaid.

No problem, maestro. [laughs]

OK, if everyone's ready,

camera.

- [man] Rolling.

- [Martin] Action!

[yells] Isabelle!

- Huh? Oh!

- [gasps]

Oh, no!

I saw a mermaid! A real mermaid

with long red hair!

That isn't in the script. Cut!

And a tail...

[Brad] I know what I saw.

Brad, darling,

nobody doubts you.

But you've got to think

of the movie.

No, no, no. I see that

you don't believe me.

You'll see!

Bring me back to the beach.

I'm coming back here with

Scuba-diving equipment.

Hmm...

You know the legends

about sailors

who thought they saw mermaids?

They turned out to be manatees.

Hey, look, they're coming back!

What? They're back already?

They shouldn't be back yet.

[Lewis] Hear that?

They're coming back.

- Really?

- [yells]

You realize you're going to put

us a half day behind schedule.

[Brad] Yeah, yeah, whatever.

Go on, Cleo,

it's now or never.

I'm telling you, actors!

[chuckles]

What's wrong with me?

- Any idea what's going on?

- Cleo is just upset

because she's too shy

to talk to Scarlett.

No! I mean, why did they come

back earlier than planned

and why is

everybody complaining?

[Brad] I'm telling you,

I saw a mermaid.

You understand you're

jeopardizing the movie.

How will I make up

for lost time?

Don't worry, Martin,

we'll get back to work.

But I've got to get back.

When I've got proof,

you won't be laughing.

Sandy, get me

some Scuba gear.

Got proof? Oh, no.

Hello, you old lazy bones,

finally paying me a visit

after all those invitations.

But next time,

you're coming to see me

I don't want to run into

that g*ng of th*gs again.

What? The vandals.

Are they causing trouble again?

Oh, look, she's the one

who saved me!

Augustus, quick, I need your

help and it's extremely urgent.

You want to take him away?

He's only just got here.

Sorry, but it's important.

They're sh**ting a movie

and I got too close

and somebody saw me.

I really, really, really need

Augustus to help me.

Alright,

but don't keep him too long.

- Quick!

- sh**ting a movie? Wow!

It's here. Stop!

They're here. Augustus,

you remember the plan?

- Mm-hmm.

- OK, it's showtime.

[muffled speech]

[laughs]

[chuckles]

[laughs]

Are you deaf?

I'm not feeling well.

I would like a glass of water.

I said a glass of water, please.

Any time today.

- [Lewis] Here, Miss Belladonna.

- Thank you. [sighs]

[screeches]

Amazing, Lewis, she spoke to me!

Oh, wow, that's just great.

Now maybe you can move onto

the next phase, answering her.

Do you think Brad

actually saw anything?

[people mutter]

You find

your amazing sea monster?

Listen up. I don't want to hear

another word about this.

Let me remind you,

we've a movie to sh**t

so back to work!

Well, it wasn't

actually a mermaid,

it was a kind of baby whale

with some seaweed on its head.

[laughter]

You heard Brad.

Everybody get back to work.

Let's get ready for the next

scene, and make it quick.

[Sandy] Scarlett, make-up time.

- Scarlett!

- [murmurs]

OK, darling, what seems

to be the problem?

I'm not sure. It must have been

all those hours out on the boat.

But no big deal, it'll pass.

See, I'm OK.

So, what scene is next?

It's an underwater shot of

the mermaid elegantly swimming.

Might have to wait a bit

for the elegant part.

I don't believe it!

This is a total disaster.

If we fall behind another day

it's all over.

Goodbye movie, goodbye

producers, goodbye career.

Maybe I can help you.

I might be able to double

for Miss Belladonna.

You are both brunettes

and the camera

will be far away from you.

But Scarlett has been training

for weeks

to swim underwater

with a mermaid tail.

I've been diving with a mono

flipper ever since I was a kid,

just like your mermaid tail.

But you'll have to ask

Miss Belladonna,

- because I wouldn't want to...

- Go for it!

OK, we're on!

You're off to see the props man.

We're gonna fit you up

with a mermaid tail.

Practice swimming with it

and then join us on the set.

OK, let's get busy, people.

Chop, chop!

Cleo, are you nuts?

You can't transform

right in front of the camera.

[Zane]

Well, thank you very much.

I ask you to keep a low profile

and what does Cleo do?

She worms her way into

a part in the movie.

I was just trying to help out!

I better go.

- They're waiting for me.

- [Rikki] Hey, you guys!

- [Lewis] Look who's here.

- Hi!

Rikki? How did she know

where we were sh**ting?

Rikki! We were supposed

to meet on the dock, remember?

Yeah, but I prefer to get here

under my own steam.

[seethes]

[taunts]

Look out. Excuse us.

Now that you're here, let me

introduce you to everybody.

No need. All those formalities

have never really been my thing.

Uh, but it's a private set

and you're gonna get kicked out

if people don't recognize you.

Hello there.

We've met before, haven't we?

Well, I know you, obviously.

But I don't think you know me.

Hm. Yes, of course,

that makes sense.

I must be tired. I've got to

say, it's been a strange day.

- Really? And how's that?

- [seethes] Emma!

Hello. So you're the one

replacing Scarlett.

I'll show you

how to put that on.

I'm sure I can manage.

No worries!

Yeah, but...

[Martin] Wait up,

we'll meet up over there!

- You ready?

- Mm-hmm.

OK, we're ready to roll.

Huh?

What is this,

the nature channel?

What's an eel doing

in my shot?

Berny, Zita,

what are you doing here?

You know Zita,

always listening to gossip.

I tried to tell her this was

human stuff, but... [yells]

Really, Berny,

you're blocking the camera.

It's obvious

they've come to film me.

Come on, there's room

for everybody.

[all chatter]

What, the camera!

Why is it leaving?

- Wait, come back.

- What the heck is going on?

What are you trying to do,

ruin the movie?

It isn't a documentary

about underwater life.

It's a story about

a mermaid and a fisherman.

You've got to clear the set now.

OK, OK, no problem.

Listen up, everybody.

The shot is over.

You were all just amazing.

The rest is shot on the beach.

Let's go, follow me!

[all chatter excitedly]

All clear.

The school of fish is gone.

[sighs]

Oh, yeah, it's perfect.

Absolutely perfect.

It'll make a beautiful scene.

Darling!

You swim incredibly well.

I couldn't have done better.

- Bravo!

- You're too kind, really.

I don't know what to say.

At least you're talking,

that's progress.

It's true that for the shy type

you were spectacular.

I got to say, the artificial

tail worked. Good job.

You'd swear

that thing was real.

- Well, actually it...

- [Brad] Actually what?

It was a real mermaid, right?

[laughs]

I got you there, right?

Relax. I'm feeling better now.

And thanks to Rikki, actually.

She explained that sailors who

thought they'd seen mermaids

had really only seen manatees.

I guess I got a little too

into my character.

[both chuckle]

OK, enough joking around.

We've got a movie to finish.

Let's get set up for the finale.

The moment everyone's

been waiting for.

That first kiss

between Scott and Isabelle

at the edge of the cliffs.

Everybody follow Zane.

He's managed to find us

some amazing cliffs.

Zane? Zane!

Ugh. What's up with Zane?

Well, he did ask us

to stay low-key.

Oh, I get it.

The poor baby can't stand

not being the center

of the universe.

One small question.

All you need to finish your

movie are cliffs, right?

- That's right.

- I know the perfect place.

Oh, thank you!

Just over there!

Oh, it's perfect.

Really, amazing.

Are you sure

it isn't dangerous around here?

No way.

OK, listen up, kids.

I'll explain the scene.

Love has changed Isabelle

into a human.

The two lovers can now live

together happily ever after.

They find themselves

at the foot of the cliffs

where Scott

had almost drowned.

They kiss and it's a wrap.

- OK.

- Then let's get rolling!

And action!

- Cut! It's in the can.

- [all cheer]

[man] It's a wrap!

All in all, what a great day.

Hey, guys, look.

The tide!

- What's going on?

- The tide's coming in.

And it's really strong

around here.

Brad and Scarlett have got to

come back. It's dangerous.

Honestly, Scarlett, it was a

real pleasure working with you,

- even if the sh**t wasn't...

[man yelling]

Martin is trying

to tell us something.

Oh! It's really rough.

It's the tide coming in.

It's nothing. Hang on tight.

I'll get you safely to shore.

[Scarlett] Help! Help!

We've got to go and get them.

Sandy, take the zodiac!

Oh, no. What did I ever do

to deserve this?

This sh**t must be cursed.

Come on, hurry,

we've got to save them!

[both scream]

Oh, man,

this isn't looking good.

We're gonna capsize!

- Good work, Cleo.

- I can't hold on much longer.

Emma, you're gonna have

to take over.

Protect the boat's hull!

[Scarlett] Brad!

Now it's my turn to save

handsome Scott. Huh?

No, wait, let Poseidon's

daughter handle this.

[both gasp]

Forget about keeping our secret,

we've got to help them.

- They going to drown!

- [Emma] Wait, look!

Come on, climb in.

[applause]

Zane, you're a hero.

I knew you'd come back.

In the end,

I guess Zane's not so bad.

I wouldn't go quite that far.

Well, I had to come back.

After all, who else

is gonna save the day?

What's important is that

everyone came out

safe and sound.

And that your movie

is in the can. Admit it.

- Yeah, that, too.

- [all laugh]

[movie plays]

[all laugh]
