that was a huge part of our life.

in the military or anything,

if you had friends
walking around, like, MAGA hats,

I wouldn't, like,
immediately cut them off.

I trust your heart
and trust who you are as a person.

I'm gonna trust
that these are good people.

Where are you from?

-[Ramses] I'm from Venezuela. Yeah.

And Venezuela has
a very complicated history with the US.

I've just been exposed
to the other side of things a lot

and to different views,

even like when we talk about
things like Palestine right now.

It's just like, I'm on the...
I always stand with people

who are under the hammer
of, like, US imperialism.

I feel for those people,

and so, like, it's hard for me

to, like, see myself in the future

with someone who is actively...

-...being involved in the military.

We're aligned on everything
except for the military.

If you have a disagreement
on what you want to teach your kids

in the future and what kind of
morals you want them to have,

how are you gonna handle that?

Even with religion, we're going to
teach our kids about religion,

but same with the military.

-I'm not gonna do what my mom did.

She was like,
"You need to go into military."

If my child wants to go into the military,
I will support them going in.

I will instill certain values
and certain things to them,

but they're free to make
those decisions for themselves.

I'm gonna teach them I was
in the military. I wanted them to know,

like, that was part of my life.

If there's a ship around,
I wanna take him to a ship.

I wanna be like, "This is what Mom did."

I wanna teach them about, like, all that
so they can make their own decision.

[Ramses] I think that's what I've
always come back to with us

is just, like, we communicate very well.

When we talked about philosophical things,
talked about life, talked about exes,

talked about future, past,
it was always, like, very aligned.

But I realized in the experience,

I realized when I was looking
at all my past relationships

that I was, like,
allowing people in my life

who I just, like,
didn't line up morally with

or our values weren't aligned.

And it was like,
"Maybe if I just go into this experience,

and I'm just, like, 100% honest
about, like, where I stand on everything,

what I want my children to believe in
and, like, how I wanna raise my kids

and my future,
what I want it to look like,

I'll find the person who will align
with that." It happened to be him.

she was very stressed out about,

is the reason why I fell in love with her.

Not the only reason,
but it's kind of rooted in that.

So meeting them
is like meeting an extension of her.

kind of on the same trajectory in life?

Absolutely. So, like, one thing
we actually bonded over was family.

When I'm thinking of a partner,
somebody I wanna build a life with,

that's central,

'cause ultimately what you come from

is gonna dictate a lot of what you create.

And everything that she came from
seems so solid and pure.

Family is really important
to all of us as well.

No, it's interesting to see,
'cause she is y'all's big sister.

I had two big sisters,
so I'm, like, a little brother.

As the little brother,
you're like a menace to society.

Alex cares about us very deeply.

-It's almost like a maternal instinct.

That's something we have to work through,

Our first disagreement was in Mexico.
You know I talk a lot.

When she is saying something,

I have to learn to just receive it,

instead of being raw and telling her,

'cause we're learning each other.

convinced you that Alex is the one?

There was a lot of moments.

I found myself in, like, a very soft place
where I felt very vulnerable.

I've never cried so many times in my life.

Like, the moment that
for me was a big standout moment

was when I was sharing a story
about one of my sisters.

-And we ended up crying together.

I have two sisters.
Both of them passed away.

And I had never just,

I always look at it through the lens of,

"Who do I want next to me
on the worst day of my life?"

And in every way,
up, down, left, and right,

she is the person that
accepts that and understands

that holistic part of me.
