Post by bunniefuu »

[Ally] Tonight, two of you are going home.

Dancers, you've been working
with your choreographer all week.

And you've seen all of the other routines.

But whose moves
made you sit up and take notice?

Who used their props the most effectively?

Who do you think deserves
to continue on in this competition?

In a moment,
I'm going to ask our Dance 100

to stand behind the person that they think

deserves to go through to the next stage.

But remember, it does not have to be
who they danced with tonight.

The two choreographers
with the least amount of votes

will be leaving the competition.

[audience exclaiming]

Dance 100, make your move now.

[audience cheering]

Thanks, Elle.

[audience gasping]

[Ally] Rex with six votes
and Rudy with nine.

I am so sorry.

But you both have
the least amount of votes,

which means you both
will be leaving this competition.

[audience cheering]

Rudy, how are you feeling in this moment?

[Rudy] Honestly, I think it's…

Um… [chuckles softly]

[audience groans]

[all cheering]

I'm trying. Uh…

You're doing great.

I've always doubted myself. Um…

I've always worked under someone,

so to have my own voice

[Ally] Rex and Rudy,
you have been amazing.

We appreciate all we've seen on
and, of course, off stage.

Y'all, let's give it up
once again, for Rex and Rudy.

[all cheering]

My time on the show was lit.
I learned a lot.

I feel I've grown so much
as a choreographer.

I'm ultimately just so inspired.

It's been a pleasure.

[overlapping chatter]

[Rudy] Honestly, I feel like
it's one of the best times of my life.

I think my family's gonna be, um…

They're going to be proud of me,
and they'll rewatch that till I die.

Okay.

What's the inspiration around that piece?

I wanted to bring you guys to Gotham

and we're villains.

We're out for blood. Yeah.

Whoa!

Okay. There was a lot.

Last week, you got a lot
of feedback from the Dance 100.

- How did you apply that into this routine?
- Yeah, that was really helpful.

You know, they told me
that it was very comp,

so I tried to break out
from my structural transitions,

and I tried to utilize
more skills for my dancers.

So, hopefully, you guys saw that.

Well, it's time to see what
our dancing judge and jury thought.

Remember, they are the ones
who will be voting for their favorite.

All right, Brooke.

I think it was super unexpected
with the song you are given,

{\an8}this whole piece just showed
it's hard to be a dancer.

We're athletic, we're powerful,

and the route that you went
really showcased that.

And there was a whole concept and theme,

which I think was really cool
and brought a different vibe to the room.

Thanks, Brooke.

[audience cheering]

Joseph, what was your hot take?

{\an8}I loved it. First I was like,
"Are they crime-fighters?"

{\an8}No, they are actually villains.

They are wreaking havoc all over the city,

tearing everything down.

I understood the concept.
I really got it. It was amazing.

You guys did great.

I think the one thing I'm going to say
is Janick gave you a lot of arm-ography.

So, like, some dancers were really on it.

Some dancers were just tailing it,
you know what I'm saying?

But other than that, I really enjoyed it.
The energy was high.

This was extremely difficult.

The level of variety that you had?
Amazing work.

Y'all give it up one more time
for Janick and her dancers.

[audience cheering]

It's time for our final performance
of the night.

It's Celine.

[audience cheering]

I'm ready to go and party with this g*ng.
Let's go. We turn it up.

[all cheering]

Hi, thanks for being here.

This is day one of rehearsals
with my 20 dancers.

Opportunity to be re-inspired. New energy.

Let's go for it.

This week, the theme is elevation.
We'll be dancing on bleachers.

I think choreographically
I'm gonna go with more street styles.

I think that I'm going to focus
on Litefeet with this piece

just because I'm from New York and…

So, light feet really is a culture.

It's a way of life.

The style means a lot to me

because not only is it the first style
I looked at as a little girl,

it brings people together.

And a walk.

[scatting]

The style light feet is super fun.

It's full of character.
It's full of life, it's full-out.

It's big. It's a lot of footwork.

And I hope that I can do it justice.

[scatting]

And a… [scatting]

Yeah. Easy.

- Such a unique style.
- I like it. I like the vibe.

It's very on your toes
and about character, like...

I'm excited to see what we'll do.

And four, and a five, and six,
and a seven, and eight, one.

The light feet looks good.

The style means a lot to many,

so it's important to do it justice
and get it right. Y'all are k*lling it.

It might sound a little ironic,

but I am worried because it's been
such a breeze, you know?

But maybe it's just a blessing
and it'll get me to the semifinals.

{\an8}Light feet isn't easy.
You know, the style is not easy at all.

{\an8}Felt a little confused and pressured

{\an8}- to make sure we do it right.
- Yeah. Yeah.

[producer] Whoa, stop, stop.
Cut, cut, cut.

- What's your pain out of ten?
- [exhales] Nine.

- A nine?
- Mmm.

You're not dancing today.

[Divine] Oh, my God.

[producer] Okay, let's stand by, everyone.

Unfortunately,
Divine has been taken to hospital.

- To the hospital?
- Yes.

So therefore, obviously, she's not
going to be able to be in the piece.

I'll set up the marquee
and give you some time to re-block.

- Okay, when do we do that?
- Well…

Show starts in an hour.

I was expecting and ready
for a challenge, and this is it.

But losing a dancer…

It never feels good
to lose a dancer to an injury,

especially an hour before the show.

How many is on each side?

I have a one, two, three, two,
and a one, two… Oh, sh*t.

Because I'm losing one of my dancers,

that means I need to redo some formations,

it's an immense amount of pressure.

Does it make sense,
Miranda, for you to be here,

India to be there? Miranda, you...

No, because the next thing… This is…

Y'all, audience, make some noise.

[audience cheering]

Let's keep that going.
Let's keep that going.

It'll be hard coming from there
to get all the way over here.

One more time.

We lost a dancer.
Let's do this for Divine.

I've had to move some formations around.

I'm a little stressed.

I just hope that my dancers
take a deep breath

and are able to keep it all together.
