They need to rely on

The idea fighting
rotator is really exciting.
Rotator's one of our
biggest inspirations,
And I think it'll be a really
fun undercutter battle.
So, we're running our forks, and hopefully,
if we go up against their lifter,
We'll get jammed in there
rather of being lifted up.
So to stop that,
They'll have to get us with their
horizontal spinner on the front,
And we're hoping to
take some big shots then.
This is the most prepared
we've ever been for a fight.
If we win this fight, we'll
even be ready for the next.

forks stuck at the k*ll saw alley.

Glitch with a hard
shock to follow it up.
[kenny] uppercut finding itself
off balance here against glitch.
Now looking for the
right angle to strike back.
They have to go
weapon to weapon.
[chris] uppercut not moving
well after those big collisions.

Ohhh! h*, h*, h*!
Huge hit and the pulverizer drops
down on the backside of uppercut.
[kenny] uppercut having a really
tough time getting underneath.
Both of these bots gotta be
careful of that corner though, chris.
[chris] every time uppercut
attacks, glitch finds a way to whip
That drum spinner around
an dish out some serious pain.
[referee] you guys good?
[chris] and now uppercut
looks hurt, kenny.
[kenny] I think they took damage off of
that shot whe they fell on their weapon
On the battlebox floor.
They're totally off balance here.
[chris] yeah, well, definitely
One of those ears got cut
of on that initial shock by...

uppercut but both of these bots

on their last legs.

unable to move with any sort of control.
[kenny] neither bot

looking at one another.

[chris] the ten-count
has started on each robot.

[chris] so that means
this will go to the judges.

Simultaneous knockout.
[buzzer sounds]
[chris] unbelievable.
A tremendous amount of
frustration in both pits you can see it.
Both captains wondering
exactly what happened.
I'll tell you what happened it's
now going to the judges' scorecard.
Kenny, a ton of big hits early,
How are the judges gonna
break down this abbreviated fight?
[kenny] well, they'll score
just like any other match.
Obviously, both bots came out aggressive
but it was glitch that struck early an
Often, ripping that right ballast bar
off of uppercut and damaging it's drive.
[chris] uppercut did
its bes to counter, but
So tough to get a clean
bit on that low-slung glitch.
[kenny] yeah. Despite it's control
issues which popped up yet again here,
Glitch's design makes
it so difficult to attack,
It forces you to go
weapon-to-weapon.
[chris] both bots were feeli the effects
of those big hit here at the finish.
The refs deciding
to call a double ko.
But not before glitch took one
more souvenir for it's collection.
Was it enough to send kyle miller's
team into the golden bolt qualifier?

Uh, I think,
The slopes on our
armor really helped,
Uh, counteract it. It was like the perfect
angle for them to glance off rather than
Getting some good purchase.
I think, if they got under us, we
definitely would have been hosed,
Uh, since they have
a massive weapon.
Uh, but the shapes of our
bot just played out in our favor.

A frustrating end but suffice to say,
we'll be dodging plenty of uppercuts

mean, these fights have been really close.
If I'm a member of that team, I'm going
to the blackjack tables, I'm playing poker,

match. We're like, "you get uppercut."
They are like, "oh, gosh!"
And now they're like,
rotator, "we'll see."
- They're interesting.
- I get they've been having issues with their bot
But they're finding a
way to win, it's amazing.

to take on tonight' gatekeeper, rotator.
Winner will earn a berth in
the golden bolt tournamen
And a chance to hoist a
brand new shiny trophy.

It's no secret that every
fight is won or lost in the pits.

glitch, that's had issues in the past,
Today's w*r of attrition
has been particularly arduou

slugfest, it's really hard.

three fights in one day
Which is almost unheard of.
Uh, you have to spend a
lot of time and a lot of effort
Uh, quickly
working on the robot.

the line and not a ton of time,

them the best chanc for success.
We really want the redemption
ark from not being able to get to that,

That's standing on top of the
mountain with both arms folded
Is victor soto and rotator although
he probably looks nothing like this.
Because victor sometimes, even though
he has the flashy gear and the cool shoes
And everything, is somewhat understated,
and in my opinion, underappreciated.
I think he is as well.
And maybe what's holding hi back
from being one of the big names
Is that he's never made a deep run
in the world championship tournamen
Sure, victor and rotator
won the bronco bounty
But they've never managed to
break out of the quarter finals.
But he is the gatekeeper
for a reason here.
Victor is an elite
driver and tactician.
His bot is always durable
and hits incredibly hard.
So adding a golden
bolt to his resume
Would certainly do wonders for victor's
panache, he's going to bring in here
And how about the team that's
burst onto the scene, glitch?
You know the story by now.
Their disqualification in
last year's round of 32 aside,
This crew now sits at 6-0 lifetime
here at battlebot. They've never lost.
Kyle miller's bot
is hitting hard.
And clearly, this team has had no
problem getting it done in the pits
They get a second chance at life and here
they have a chance to win something big.
These guys are an amazing team.
And I can't emphasize enoug how impressive
what they've been able to accomplish is.
After the way last season ended,
It would have been easy for critics to
say, "glitch' undefeated run was a fluke.
But now that they've
notched another three wins,
It's pretty clear that this is a bot
everyone should be very afraid of.
But, of course, they're abou to
face one of their toughest tests yet,
Against victor soto and rotator.
Lot on the line tonight.
Somebody will win and advance
to the tournament of champions
For a chance to play
for the golden bolt.

did see glitch have some problems

is that it's very low to the ground.
It's weakness is that it's
very low to the ground.
It gets stuck into the, uh,
battlebox floor, at times.
But, it does help
deflect away the energy
From a lot of these
horizontal-spinning weapons
Let's see if it can do the
same here against rotator.
In the blue square,
This south beach slammer
will do anything to you.
His spinners cut both ways
and there's nada you can do.
His rhythm's
gonna get you k*lled.
And everyone can tell, he's
the miami power machine

bad boss blocking the bridge
It is rotator led
by victor soto.
You know, he's got that look
The bot has that
deadly undercutting bar.
What's the team
strategy her kenny?
[kenny] well, you better
believe they have a strategy
Victor is known as one of
the best tacticians in the sport.
He knows glitch has had
trouble moving on the box floor.
So watch for him to get
in close with rotator's forks
Before whirling around
And dealing some serious damage
to glitch with that undercutter.
The road to get here was
completely unexpected.
I don't... well,
kinda lost for words.
Winning the golden bolt
would mean so much to us.
Not being able to make
it into the round of 32,
Uh, left us, kind of, a
little broken. And then,
Getting to go up against
victor soto and rotator,
Uh, to try to get in to that
golden bolt tournament.
This is a chance at redemption.
For some reason, rotator's
an... I think it's a overlooked bot.
But they're legend for a reason
and I'm not going to overlook them.
Yeah. So glitch is an
interesting robot. Uh,
Very impressive. They've made it
Through a gauntlet of fights,
Made it past uppercut and
now they're up to rotator.
Their drive, I believe, is
their weakness right now.
It's a first year robot, looks
like they're struggling a little bit
With certain parts of the arena.
I'm gonna have to put a little bit more
emphasis on the driving this time. Instead of
Just trying to, like,
take shot after shot.
Oh, the golden bolt
would be fantastic.
Uh, I think it'll really
do well with our theme.
And I think it'll look good with
our "most destructive bolt" award
That we got in 2018.
And someday we'll just have
a nut to, uh, go along with it.

struck first, you see that piece of armor

Victor did his best to stee
clear of the weapon but kyl
Just kept it pointed at rotator,
And boom!
Look at this shock!
In the air, the guts
were coming out, I mean,
The amount of power to do that.
Rotator is known for being tough,
they're known for being durable.
We have never seen this.
The kinda height, the
kinda devastation...
[chris] this is a rookie
rob doing this to a legend
In victor soto.
Un...
Be...
Lievable.
[chris] kyle miller.
- Chris.
- Yeah.
Dude!
[kyle exclaims]

A legend in rotator.
We have never seen somebody
do that to victor soto's bot.

That weapon hits hard.
Uh, yeah. So,
We started of the match
Pretty scared.
Uh.
In the drive test, we weren't
able to spin up our weapon, like,
Very consistently, because
of the previous match.
Uh, so it took a while.
We only had one screw in
that side-armor that they tore off.
So that's why it tore off.
And we were, kinda, scared that they
would get into there and get our wheel.
Uh, but then that
hit happened, and
Wow!
[chris chuckles]
[chris] yeah!
Kyle,
You guys went 3-0
in the regular season.
You won four fights tonight.
You're moving on to the tournament of
champions where you're gonna face the likes of
Endgame,

And other legendary bots.

not have the bot working.
We thought that we'd only have
one fight and it'd be mediocre.
But somehow we're here.

it's because of all of them.
They've been working
