Post by bunniefuu »

Let's have a party with Charlie Brown and

Snoopy. We can go dancing with Lioness

and Lucy. Put on a smile and

stay for a while. Come on, let's dance

around with Snoopy and Charlie Brown

with stucco whistle. Sally

will be singing.

Frida and Franklin, even Little

Rerun Bell's back in Snoopy.

Everybody's having fun. Let's not go home

yet. If we stick around, maybe that

red-haired girl will come and dance with

Charlie Brown.

It's the Charlie Brown and Snoopy

Show.

Hello?Hiya, Chuck.

This is Peppermint Patty. Hi.

I was wondering if you could do me a

favor, Chuck. Sure. What do you

need?Well, I was wondering,

how would you like to help out my

baseball team today?You mean you

want me to pitch?Well, not

exactly. You see,

we're trying to raise a little money for

my team. You know, the Pelicans.

And we need someone to sell popcorn.

Huh

Well, I guess that's what friends are

for. OK, I'll be glad to help.

I'll be right over. Hey, that's great,

Chuck. I knew you wouldn't let me down.

OK, Chuck, just sell these bags of

popcorn. You have people watch your

games?Of course, Chuck. What did you

think?No one ever watches

our games. Anyway, go for it,

Chuck. Sell the popcorn. You're

sure you don't want me to pitch?Sell the

popcorn, Chuck.

Popcorn. Popcorn. Get your

popcorn here. Popcorn.

Yes, ma'am. $0.50. Thank you. Enjoy the

game. Enjoy the game I'm not

playing in because I'm selling

popcorn. Popcorn.

What are you doing out here, Chuck?

Some lady in the stands is complaining

that there's not enough butter on the

popcorn. That's your problem, Chuck.

I'm playing ball. You don't need

another pitcher, do you?Sell the popcorn,

Chuck.

But... But.. Sell the popcorn,

Chuck. However...

However, sell the popcorn,

Chuck.

How's the game going? If you need me to

pitch, I'm ready anytime. Chuck,

you're going to drive me crazy.

Can't you understand?We don't need you to

pitch. We need you to sell

popcorn. But

I know I can strike him out.

Okay, Chuck, you've been pestering me for

a chance to pitch. Let's see what you can

do. It's the last

inning, there are two outs, and we're

ahead 50 to nothing. We're so

far ahead, we can't lose. You

pitched last out, Chuck, and

I'll sell the popcorn. It's hero

time, Charles. Don't be nervous.

We're all behind you.

Easy now. Just get it over the

plate. Only one more out

and we win. Popcorn.

Popcorn. Get your popcorn here before the

game ends. And I'll be the

hero! Uh-oh...

M-Marcy... What happened?

Where am I?You're home,

sir. You got hit on the head by a

baseball. It was a wild

pitch. You're okay now, though.

Chuck threw a wild pitch? But we

won, didn't we?We were ahead 50 to

nothing. That's the good news, sir.

What's the bad news?We

lost, sir. 51 to

Hello?All right, Chuck.

What happened?I left you with a

There were two outs in the last ending.

Explain yourself, Chuck. What

happened?I'm sorry, Mr.

Brown is not in. If you care to leave

your number, he'll try to get back to you

sometime next year.

That wasn't very nice, the way you spoke

to Charles, Sir. Oh, I

know, but he makes me so mad.

He was only trying to help. Well,

don't make me feel worse than I do,

Marcy. Especially with our biggest game

of the year tomorrow. I think you

should call him up and apologize.

I'll do better than that, Marcy. I'll

give him another chance. You know that

other idea I had for Chuck?Yes,

sir. But I don't think that would

be fair to Chuck either.

Just leave it to me, Marcy. I'll call

Chuck right after dinner.

Hello?I shouldn't be telling you this,

Charles, but I feel I have to.

Peppermint Patty is going to ask you to

help her baseball team. Hey,

that's great! I guess I shouldn't be

telling you this, Charles, but it's not

what you think. There's a hitch.

Pitch?She wants me to pitch?Hey,

that's great. Thanks for calling, Marcy.

I'll see you tomorrow. Hitch,

Charles. Hitch. Not pitch.

You didn't, didn't you, sir?You

called Chuck and you told him that our

team needs him. Well, we do,

Marcy. Yes, but not for what he thinks.

He thinks he's going to be the pitcher or

play right wing. or linebacker or

goalie or something. Well, I

must admit, I haven't told him yet what I

want him to do. You must feel

lots of guilt, sir. Stop it,

Marcy. You're making me itch!

That's a sure sign of guilt, sir.

Well, here I am, ready to pitch. Well, we

don't need a pitcher. What then?

Infielder?Outfielder?Catcher?

Here's how it is, Chuck. All the big

league teams have mascots, right?

Our team is the Pelicans, right?

Well, we have this costume we want you to

wear, so try it on, Chuck.

See what you think.

You're really going to help the team

spirit, Chuck. You ought to be

ashamed of yourself, Sir.

Wow. I can't

breathe. Don't worry about it,

Chuck. You look great.

Flap your wings and dance around.

Act like a real pelican. The fans

like lots of action. Oh,

brother. Your job, Chuck, will

be to jump around and get our fans to

cheer. You have fans?And when

one of us hits a home run, Chuck, we want

you to turn somersault. Jump updown

and go crazy, Chuck. You'll hit

home runs. Tomorrow's our first

game, Chuck. I want you to go home and

get a good rest. But don't take

your costumal. I want you to think

Pelican and be Pelican.

Think Pelican, be Pelican.

Shark, shark, shark.

Charlie Brown. What's this about you

being a mascot on Peppermint Patty's

baseball team?I hear she's got you

wearing a dumb Pelican costume, and she

wants you to wear it all the time.

What did you say?Your voice sounds

muffled. Why does your voice sound

muffled?It's hard to explain.

Marcie, what are you doing here?

I want you to take off that stupid

costume. Charles. And stop

letting yourself be humiliated. If

you won't do it for yourself, do it for

someone who likes you. Kiss her, you

blockhead!

Where's our pelican? The game is ready

to start. Where's Chuck in the pelican

costume?I told him he shouldn't

come. I told him it was

degrading. and that he would make a fool

of himself. Marcy!

That's my name.

Marcy! You've got it right

again.

Our pelican, he's here after all.

I don't believe it.

Huh, Marcy, you were wrong. Chuck didn't

listen to your dumb advice. He came

anyway. Take the head off,

Chuck. I'm going to give you a big kiss.

Ah

Hey, Chuck. They're going to have a kids'

Halloween bowling tournament tonight. You

want to sign up with me?That would be

great. How about you, Linus?Have

you two lost your minds? It's Halloween

On Halloween night, the great pumpkin

rises out of the pumpkin patch that he

picks as the most sincere. Then he

flies through the air, bringing toys to

all the good children in the world.

Come on, Chuckle boy. Let's get to the

bowling alley before it's too late. Good

grief. Doesn't anyone believe me?

Won't anyone sit in the pumpkin patch

with me?

Hey, great, Snoopy. What a friend.

Come on, let's go. It'll soon be

dark. I've never rolled in my life.

What do I have to do?I'll show you

what's what. I'm a great teacher,

Chuck. Of course, I'll beat the pants off

you.

OK, Chuck, prepare for action. What

do I do?You see those pins down there,

Chuck?Uh-huhThere are ten of them.

Now the idea is that you have

to roll the ball down the alley here and

knock down all those pins.

OK, Chuck, I knocked down eight of the

pins. Now I have to knock down the last

two. How can you do that? Those

two pins aren't even close to each other.

Not to worry, Chuck. Watch this.

That's fantastic. Piece of

cake, Chuck. Now you try it.

Ow, ow, ow! Here, Chuck, let me give you

a hand.

Hey! I knocked them all down! I

won! I won! And I did it with

one ball! You did not win,

Chuck. We each have to do it nine more

times. Okay, Chuck, stand

back. I'm gonna show you what a real

athlete can do. I'm gonna beat you

by a hundred pins, Chuck.

Just think, Snoopy, if he picks this

pumpkin patch, you and I will get to see

him in person. Why, this could be the

most exciting, most wonderful moment of

your life. What's that?

What's that noise?Could this be the Great

Pumpkin at long last?Oh,

Great Pumpkin, is that you?You

Oh, no! I

heard everyone else went to the bowling

tournament, so I came to keep my

boyfriend company. I am not

your boyfriend.

Just tell me one thing. Is the

Great Pumpkin coming or isn't he?

Of course he's coming.

I just don't want to miss trick-or-treats

again by wasting my time out here.

Hey, don't ever say that. He won't come

if we don't show that we believe in him.

Well, for your sake, I hope he shows up

this time.

This is the 10th frame, Sir.

Here goes everything, Marcy.

Come on, you stupid ball. Come

on. Another split. Rats,

this is the worst game I've ever bowled.

Do you think sports build character, sir?

Sure, Marcy. You learn how to smile on

the face of defeat. Guess who's

going to win the tournament, sir?Who,

Marcy?Charles is.

All he needs to win is to knock down

five pins. You mean Chuck

might win?I can't believe it.

The world must be coming to an end.

It's the last frame!All I

need is five pins. I can

do it. I know I can do it.

Just don't get nervous now. Don't panic.

Take it easy. Chuck, you're facing the

wrong way. Don't throw it, Chuck. Stop.

StopDo it, ball. Please

do it. Did I do it?Did I get a

strike?Did I win?You threw the

ball at the front door, Chuck!

I hear something! It must be the Great

Pumpkin! He's coming, he's coming!

The Great Pumpkin is coming! Look out!

Can you believe it?He finally came! The

Great Pumpkin finally came!

Hey, I didn't see a thing! I've been

cheated! I've been robbed!Now

let's see anyone try to make fun of me

about the great pumpkin. I knew he'd

come. Did anyone see a bowling ball come

this way?You mean I gave up

trick-or-treat to be a bowling bear?It

was not a bowling ball. It was a

great pumpkin and I know it. Did

anyone get hurt? Here we were sitting in

the pumpkin patch and all of a sudden we

heard this loud noise. It was a great

pumpkin. It was a bowling ball.

I had never seen the Great Pumpkin

before. Suddenly, here he

was, flying right by

me. It was a bowling ball.

I should have won the tournament. I

didn't get any breaks. I've

never been so insulted in my whole life.

I could have won the whole tournament.

I should have won, Chuck. Now let me give

you some advice. That's all right,

Great Pumpkin. We don't care about

disbelievers. I believe

in you! I know it was you!

Come back, Great Pumpkin!

Here, you got a letter from someone named

Spike. He says, I'm

going to be passing through your town on

my way from Needles.

Spike's coming. Spike?Who

in the world is Spike?He's

Snoopy's older brother. He's coming to

visit for a few days.

Hey, Banana Nose. I never knew you had an

older brother.

By the way, what does your brother Spike

look like?

Cut it out, cat next door. You better

watch out. Snoopy's brother Spike is

coming, and he may just give you a punch

on the nose.

On the other hand, he may leave you

alone. Where do

you want the root beer?Downstairs in the

refrigerator?

Following downstairs with 24 cans of root

beer is quite an experience.

Spike's here!Hey, Spike's here.

Spike's arrived. He got in last

night. We haven't even seen him.

Hey, Spike, wake up. We want to see

what you look like. I noticed a

similarity already. The

family knows Spike

has arisen. Somebody quack.

Eggs Benedict for Snoopy's brother Spike.

Spike, good grief. You're as

thin as a promise. This is the most

miserable looking dog I have ever

seen. I'm going to take him home and

fatten him up.

If it's all right with you, Charlie

Brown, I'll take him home and do just

that.

Spike sure looks thin, doesn't he?

I hope this makes you appreciate the good

life you've had.

Hey, there's a dog in my bed.

Be quiet. I'm nursing him back to health.

In my bed. In my

bedroom. Hey,

and that's my blanket he's wearing.

Hospital robe.

What in the world is that? This is a

milkshake for Snoopy's brother. I'm

fattening him up. I'm your own

brother. How come you never bring me a

milkshake?When he's through, you

can lick the straw.

I found out why your brother is so

thin. He's been living in the desert

with the coyotes. His

job was to sweep out the coyotes' den.

Another milkshake for Spike?You're

going to spoil that dog.

Hey, our TV set is gone.

You thought I couldn't do it, didn't you?

Well, Spike isn't skinny anymore.

I got him back in shape. Great.

Where is he?Come on out, Spike,

and show everybody how great you

look.

Wow! We have us a heavyweight

wrestler. Okay, Catneck

store, you're finally going to get it.

Spike is going to take care of you once

and for all. Okay, Spike, go

get him. Show him he can't be mean to us

anymore.

Oh no!

Why can't I have a normal dog like

anyone else?And why can't he have a

normal brother like anyone else?

Let's have a party with Charlie Brown and

Snoopy. We can go dancing with Lioness

and Lucy. Put on a smile

and stay for a while. Come on, let's

dance around with Snoopy and the Charlie

Brown. Rita and Franklin.

Even Little Rerun Bell, Spock and

Snoopy. Everybody's having fun. Let's

not go home yet. If we stick around,

maybe that red haired girl will come and

dance with Charlie Brown.
