It's been a crazy
race this season.

Almost every boat has won
before or come in second.

And we have never been
up against so many
competitive crews.

I just want to get out there
and try and catch up.

I'm one fish behind
the little shell.

Some of the guys, greg,
he's not having a good
year this year, you know.

He's out to a little
bit of a slow start.

We started out slow.

We managed to claw
ourselves back into this
competition and we're just

gonna keep on grinding.

I'm not gonna take
my foot off the pedal.

I'm just gonna keep going.

We went up the road
looking for that water we
fished in the other day and

its cooled way, way down.

There was one boat that
left early this morning and

he found some water
down here about, oh,

about 15 miles from
where we are right now.

I guess it's where we
need to be, it's hard to say.

We're at a critical point
in the season right now.

Since our first fish,

we have not been
able to get back
into that top spot.

And to add to that,

my old mate nick's
having an awesome
season this year.

This is flat-out embarrassing.

So we've got to bring
our a-game and follow
every lead we hear about.

So the quicker we

We're gonna go do what we do.

of leaderboard before
the weather hit,

but being off the water
a few days knocked us down

a little bit.

We're used to this though.

That just means we have to give

not on top of the leaderboard

right now, you know,
the pressure's on.

mentality on this boat,

we're not trying to
let whoever's ahead of us

really dictate our move
because everybody on this boat,

we're best friends.

to let the gears roll
on this tuna machine.

have a strategy.

A few days ago my
house got flooded.

as bad I've seen.

My little girl's bike that
she rides is under saltwater.

Now, I not only have
to cover the cost of
the bluefin season,

but everything I lost
in the flood as well.

Our crew is working

but that doesn't

our foot off the gas.

hopefully find something.

fish might be a little bigger.

This is what we need
to boost our morale and
get us back in the game.

And you never really want
to see damage in a fish,
