Another upside down tree... Previously
on Expedition Bigfoot... So strange.

From the peak of the mountain to
upside down tree to the worksite.

That's an equilateral triangle.

It has meaning.

Oh, wow.

It will actually see
everything in front of it.

What is it doing?
Why did it stop?

Look. Motion detector went off.

Something is at our camp.

Holy... This is the
footage that Russell took.

Right there!

I think we just captured
a cloaked Bigfoot.

I can see one of the trail cams.

I see it.

After the strange activity
they experienced the night

before, Mireya and Ronny are checking the
trail cams, to see if they caught a glimpse

of whatever it was that
breached their perimeter.

Something was going on here.

So let's see.

Last night, something set off those motion
detectors that we set around our tents.

We couldn't find any signs of
what triggered those motion sensors,

but we may have something even better, an image
on those trail cameras of what came into camp.

- Searching?
- Yep.

All right.

We'll just leave this one up.

I'm kind of surprised
we have nothing on this one,

because the field of view
for this trail camera,

we have pretty much the entire left side
of the swamp, and we have nothing on it.

Yeah.

Let's go check the other ones.

We got something here.
Something triggered it.

This was me coming up on it.

That was it.

Listen, I have an important
update for you guys.

Russell investigated this abandoned
mine, and we had the entire system lidared.

Well, those results came back.

You guys are not gonna believe
what I found.

The lidar picked up what can only be described
as a humanesque figure sitting on a pile of rock.

Holy crap.

But here's the thing.

On the regular mounted camera,
you don't see anything.

Oh, wow.

And on Russell's handheld,
he spotted a strange distortion.

That, to me,
could only mean one thing.

So we're dealing with
something that's almost invisible?

Exactly.

It's reminiscent to me of the shadow
on the rock wall in Washington State.

I just saw a shadow.

What the was that?

It went from right to
left and it disappeared.

I'm thinking
the same thing, Ronny.

This could very well be a
camouflage or cloaked Bigfoot.

Holy.

When Bryce told us about that
finding my stomach dropped.

I'm no lidar expert.

But usually if a figure shows up in the data,
that means that there's something there.

I mean, I've... I've heard of stories
like this, but I'm a bit skeptical.

Is there anything that would
possibly explain something like that?

There could be several
explanations for what I'm seeing.

But we've encountered enough strange
things on our expeditions to know that

we have to chase down
every lead.

Hundred percent.

Whatever it was, Russell thinks it
left the mine and is still out there.

So I want you guys to stop what you're doing
and head into the direction of the mine to see

if you can figure out whatever
it was moving around that area.

Meanwhile, Russell will
continue searching downriver.

If this thing is out there, it's
gonna leave telltale signs.

Really interesting to see
what we can find.

lookout for whatever it was on that lidar,

I'm on my way to speak with a witness named
Joel, who's an avid outdoorsman and hunter,

and has spent most
of his life in the woods.

He said he'd be willing to share
with me an encounter that he had.

Thanks for taking

So I understand you had some
strange occurrences out in the woods.

Yeah. So I was camping about two miles
up a nearby mountain, and I awoke to this

really loud sound of a branch breaking, uh, a
thick branch, and I heard something moving around,

so I immediately thought
it could be a bear.

But then I heard, like,
the most high pitched scream.

Just...
Just blood-curdling scream.

It echoed through the whole
woods, like the roar of a lion.

But... but high pitched.

And, um, you know, the kind of sound
you just feel going through your body.

And have you ever heard
anything like this before?

Definitely not.

Yeah, it was a first time
hearing a sound like that.

And how did it make you feel
hearing this... this scream?

Paralyzed.

I mean, I had
a visceral reaction to it.

All the hairs on my neck stood up and...
- Really? Wow. - Yeah.

It sounds like a primalistic
fight or flight response.

Definitely
a fight or flight response.

You know, more than once
I've heard a witness describe

this blood-curdling scream
that comes from the woods.

Even Mireya described
it as that.

What the?

That had a more
human tone to it.

It has me thinking that these same sounds
could also be what those loggers heard.

I can't be 100% sure, but it
just feels like Bigfoot to me.

Do you think this creature is dangerous
and capable of, you know, causing harm?

I mean, we definitely have a
lot of people go missing up here.

Does this happened quite
a bit around here or...?

It happens every year.

Yeah. We have people go missing.

What do you think's going on?

They must be encountering
something in the woods.

It reminded me that the logger from the worksite
that basically launched our investigation

experienced the same thing.

People disappear out here.

These things come and take 'em.

If people really are going missing
under mysterious circumstances,

then I can't help but think
about the safety of our team.

team, if we're looking for these creatures

and evidence of their existence?

Just be careful
if you're out in the woods.

I definitely wouldn't camp now.

These are definitely
strange woods.

There's nothing fresh
in this dirt, in this mud.

It's walking a riverbank.

After experiencing mysterious
activity in the abandoned mine,

Russell has begun tracking an animal along
the river that leads directly from the mine.

Here we go.

It looks like something
literally laid down here.

Like a...
Like it made bed out of it.

See all of that's laid down
and pressed.

And that's a big flat surface.

And what were we?

Less than a mile away.

Did you hear something
on that side?

I thought I heard something.

I swear I heard something
over there.

I wanna try something here
real quick.

So it's cool enough
out here right now.

Anything putting off a heat trace, we
should be able to pick it up on the thermal.

I got that gut feeling there's
something over there looking at us.

But I can't see anything
on these thermals.

I swear there's
something watching us.

I can literally feel it.

I'm following something
and I know that I'm close.

I can hear it.

I wanna know what's moving.

There's something going

Almost like
it was toying with me.

Whatever that is,
it's watching us.

a way across to it.

I think we're getting
close to the mine.

After Bryce discovered
intriguing anomalies... Right there.

...in the footage Russell recorded,
Ronny and Mireya have made their way

to the forest surrounding
the abandoned mine.

This looks like
a really well-worn path here.

Oh, yeah.

Mireya, look at that.

That's weird.

This looks somewhat fresh,
broken off here.

So do all these, actually.

What the hell?

Holy.

As we continue further into the forest, we
come across this gigantic tree structure.

The branches are broken off, and it's
shaped in this bizarre pyramid formation.

This is high up in the air.

They would take someone like myself
to use a ladder to put this thing together.

I think this is all
natural tree-fall, though.

If you think about when we talk about nests,
there's an actual comfort level to them

that this wouldn't have.

I don't know.

You could bed down
all over the place

or at least hunker down
for a couple of hours.

It's called
the forest floor, Ronny.

I know one of the things
out here is that the Bigfoot

or supposed to be much larger, so it makes
sense they would probably use larger materials

to make those structures
or different markers.

I completely understand
Mireya's hesitation,

but this looks all too
conveniently placed to be natural.

We cannot afford to pass up on any
evidence while we're here in Alaska.

I'm trying to find the base
of this tree and this one.

These both look like they're
just kind of shoved in.

That caught my eye because everything is
almost coming into that pyramid type shape.

I mean, it looks strange, but you
can see over where you're standing,

where that seems
to have been rooted there.

Yeah.

And the heavy rains, we've been getting wind,
would cause it to fall and then topple over,

this sort of ripple effect
and take these with them.

So I think this is just
the natural tree fall.

But there's been reports of Bigfoot
pushing trees, knocking 'em over.

Just looking at these branches,
you can tell they weren't cut with tools.

They were broken by brute
force by something powerful.

So to me, it looked like
a structure.

The strange part is how they're
broken off, they're hanging.

Yeah, that's what looks weird,
is where is that coming from?

I don't see the base
of where that is.

So that one has me
kind of curious.

Plus, we have a game trail, which looks
pretty well traveled, going right across.

I wonder if it would make sense for us to set
up a trail cam pointed at this just to see

if anything does come
through here, use this spot.

I mean, to me, this is a natural fall, but
if you feel strongly about it, all right.

Ronny thinks that this could
be some kind of a tree structure.

Personally, it looks to me
like natural tree fall,

but I still think that this is a
very good spot to investigate.

We've definitely seen a lot of tracks of
different animals moving in and around here,

so I'm not against
staking out this area tonight.

Ryan, let's get on that trail.

Three miles from Ronny and Mireya, Russell has
found a narrow portion of the river to cross

and continues to pursue the
source of the mysterious sounds.

See how everything is all laid
flat here, but this leaf right here,

something's just been through here, and
they've literally been pulled up off the ground

by something
stepping through that.

This might be the trail
we've been looking for.

Stay there for a second.

I keep hearing this whistling
sound and it's moving with me,

but it's always staying out
in front of me.

It's like it's leading me
somewhere.

All of a sudden, I come up to this riverbank
with a clearing on the other side of it,

and I think whatever I'm
hearing is in that tree line.

I don't want to give
my position away.

So I'm gonna stay just inside
the shoreline and set up my tripod,

and a little later on, when it's completely
dark, I'm gonna do as much thermal work as I can.

It'll be dark soon.

That's just crazy.

In preparing for our expedition in
Alaska, we spent a lot of time and energy

just focusing on some of the
dangers that we were gonna encounter.

Between the wildlife and the landscape and the
weather, Alaska is a pretty dangerous place.

But after my conversation with Joel,
something raised an alarm, he said,

"People go missing here
in Alaska all the time."

And that's kind
of a shocking statement.

But it wasn't the first time
I heard it.

That worker at the worksite,

he basically said
the same thing.

So I wanted to just get a feel of it
for myself and look up these statistics.

And I have to tell you,
it was shocking.

Not only does Alaska have a very high missing
persons rate, it's the highest in the country.

It's three times higher than
the next closest state, Arizona.

You know, look, people go
missing for all sorts of reasons.

And being here in Alaska, just
the sheer danger of the landscape

is gonna account
for a lot of these cases.

But I'm not gonna dismiss all of
the indigenous legends and stories

that talk about a Bigfoot like creature coming
out of the woods and kidnaping, even k*lling men,

women and children.

I don't know
what to make of all this.

But the bottom line is Alaska is
an extremely dangerous place,

and we're gonna have to do
everything we can to keep ourselves safe

and not just become
another statistic.

I see a little bit of heat on a tree way
over on the other side of that clearing.

It's just like a spike.

It's not a... it's not like
the whole side of a tree.

Keep an eye
on that area right there.

That was right here beside us.

Ryan, there's something hot
in the water, just went by.

So they hit their
tail into the water.

The only real heat signature I'm
getting is there, their eyes and their face

'cause they're submerged
in the water.

They're not gonna put out
a very big thermal.

That thing
is definitely bipedal.

No, that was... Just think about
the sounds we've been hearing.

It's like one slap at a time,
right?

That was continuous.

Not getting anything
on the thermal.

I don't like that.

Absolutely nothing.

What in the heck?

That was up in the tree.

Something was up in that tree.
Right there.

On a cold night like this,
you wouldn't expect to see

a big heat trace on a tree,
especially at that elevation.

Something big had
to have been in that tree.

It's fading.

It's fading fast.

That large heat trace is fading quickly,
which means that it was just there.

That thing was right up in that
tree, when we were sitting right there.

Look at that.

Something just
came through here.

Right out here. Come on.

Ryan, I think
it went back across.

Whatever was in that tree
put out a lot of heat.

I'm not seeing anything here.

What I don't understand is how something
that puts out that much heat on a tree,

can put out no heat on the other side
of this water, unless it's using the water

to cool
it's body temperature down.

Think about that.

If it gets in the water, and
gets out on to the other side,

we're not gonna get much
of a thermal trace at all.

It's gonna be cold.

But for how long?

I'm already getting a really
eerie feeling about this place.

After discovering that the upside down
trees, the mountain and the logging site

made a seemingly perfect triangle...
All sides are pretty much equal.

...Bryce has returned to the abandoned
logging site where the expedition first began.

We understand there was an
incident that took place here?

Yeah, two weeks ago.

That's when the sound started.

That's when
people started leaving.

After seeing what I saw in the research
about all the missing persons on this island,

of course, it could be nothing.

But I feel like it's too much of a coincidence
that these locations lined up that way.

It got me thinking,
there's a very good chance

that Bigfoot evidence might
have possibly gone overlooked.

So right now, I wanna go back to where the
worksite is, because we've never investigated

this specific area.

I mean, it's really quiet.

This place
is completely abandoned.

It doesn't look like anything
or anyone has come back here.

I don't see anything.

I wanna go down by the river where
he said their stuff was being taken to.

Maybe I can find some DNA
evidence, footprints, tracks, something.

In this old growth forest,
the visibility is so great.

I mean, you can see
for hundreds of yards.

I just wanna scan here across
the river with this thermal.

I've been hearing sounds
that I'm not familiar with.

And the overall feeling,
you can't escape it.

But what I run into is a tree that's
been plucked up out of the ground,

roots and everything turned upside
down and jammed back down into the Earth.

The most unnatural thing
I've ever seen in the forest.

See that distance right there?

And then down here, close
to the ground is thinner.

I know that Ronny and Mireya have been doing an
investigation on something exactly like this,

but I've never seen it
for myself.

I'm wondering if it's telling me that it's
dangerous to proceed or that I shouldn't be here,

but something that is of nature and ripped
from the earth and turned upside down

doesn't feel like
a welcome thing.

I don't know
if you're hearing that.

This place just has
some weird sounds, doesn't it?

Look at that.

Balanced on an old rotten stump

is a tree that has been placed
strategically across the top of it.

Look at this.

That's just balanced up
there like a seesaw.

At first glance, you think maybe it's just
a large branch that fell from a tree above

and just happened to land
on top of this stump.

Just one little finger.

Look at that.

Look how long
this stuff's been here.

How would that have fallen
from any of those trees?

This was done clearly
with intent.

Something smart placed this here
maybe as a marker, maybe to signal others.

And then again,
maybe as a warning.

You keep hearing that sound?

It's almost like clicking or
something hitting it's teeth like a...

Oh, dude, look at this.

There's another one.

Okay, I've stumbled across
my second one now.

Another tree across an old rotten
stump, also balanced perfectly on this log.

You seeing that?

That doesn't happen by accident.

Look how fragile it is.

This is a pattern.

This place is,
as Ronny would say,

chock full of high strangeness.

You know, I've never encountered
anything like this in the forest before.

I wanna get ahold of Ronny and Mireya
and just let them know what I found.

Listen, I'm getting some really,
really strange activity in this area.

- Like what?
- What I found was a like, an upside down tree.

Oh, no way.

This thing's only
about six or seven feet tall.

It's not like the big ones
that you guys are looking at.

But this thing's been here
for a long time.

It's got moss growing
over it and everything else.

Something that's really wild is, I
found these two separate spots

where these logs are placed
on top of old tree stumps.

They've literally been positioned almost like in
a seesaw manner, and they're balanced perfectly.

Like something placed it
or just natural fall?

This is definitely with intent.

Logs on the top of stumps, man, that's
that's brand new from what I've heard

in the different stories
out here.

If this is a tree structure, man,
this is unlike one I've ever seen.

There's something else
that you guys should know.

I keep hearing
these clicking sounds.

I don't know if this is something
that's normal for Alaska,

like a native wildlife sound, that's
just... That I'm just not used to yet.

But it seems really, really strange because
it didn't start up until I got in this area.

I mean, that doesn't sound familiar
to me here, but if I talk about primates,

then there
is a very large monkey.

It's a mandrill.

It has a very colorful face and it actually
clicks and gnaws its teeth as a warning sign.

It's actually a threat display.

I wonder if this thing is... is either
threatened by me coming into the area

or if it's trying
to push me out.

I mean, it's hard for me to say.

I just know that it's not out of the realm of
possibility because primates, they communicate

in a... in a number of ways.

When I realized it wasn't a skull, I thought
maybe it was a wood carving, but it's not.

What's very strange about
this, this is all natural root system.

There's sticks that are thrust into
the Earth almost in a fashion where

you're looking through
this cage at this skull.

But the way it was placed and
presented and on full display

was meant to startle
whoever laid eyes on it.

This is just weird.

Hang on a second.

Look up against
the tree right there.

Do you see that?

It looks like
an upside down tree.

I officially don't frickin'
like this place.

I don't like it.

I don't like this at all.

Scared the crap out of me.

This feels like a sacrifice point or
a a spiritual thing happening here.

This was all positioned
with a reason.

And I'm not sure that I wanna
know what that reason is.

I wonder what else is out here.

While investigating the area
near the potential tree structure,

Ronny will position himself on a
large hill adjacent to the clearing,

in order to observe
Mireya's movements from above.

They've placed motion activated floodlights
throughout the area that will alert the team

if anything comes near.

Trail cameras have also been placed to capture
a visual of any targets moving through the area.

I have you centered and I have
the motion detectors set up for IR,

so those are gonna kick off if
anything comes into the circle here.

I'm gonna start heading out in
the other direction opposite you.

So the idea is to take this to the
next level and actually antagonize

a Bigfoot or several
to come and check it out.

Not really sure
what we're dealing with here,

but walking through a territorial animal's space
is one way of luring out some sort of response.

If anything were to walk through the
area where we've set up the sensors,

we should be well aware when those get
triggered, 'cause it'll blast a big light.

There's a trail back here that would take me
a little bit further out towards the river.

You wanna check it out, and I can

definitely getting that feeling right now.

Two of the motion detectors,
they just got tripped.

Which IR got tripped?

To your left and to the right.

As soon as you were on that trail,
something came into the perimeter,

and tripped them off
at the same time.

That means that whatever set them
off is about a 100 feet away from me.

I didn't see any movement,
just the lights kicked on.

I wonder if we've had something
come in on either side of this perimeter,

tripping off both of those
detectors at the same time.

Maybe we're dealing
with one or more

animals coming in here.

I'm scanning the woods
for any sort of eyeshine

and I'm keeping my ears open
for any kind of sound.

But so far, I'm not seeing
or hearing anything.

It's dead quiet
and not seeing anything.

I'm standing right next to the
spot where the IR got triggered.

Gotcha. I have eyes on you.

We're gonna have to reset
that motion detectors.

It's possible that something either
was here and moved out when I left

or something moved in
when I left.

So I'm gonna start heading
back towards that brook again.

As I'm approaching
that little brook here,

the temperature
suddenly dropped.

And I... Honestly, I started
feeling like I was being watched.

from behind my position.

I've been out here
for quite a while now.

Still not seeing anything.

Bryce is investigating the area
above a river where he just spotted

a mysterious thermal signature.

on the forest floor?

It makes no sense.

Oh, that's kind of creepy.

Just like that witness was saying,
something was taking their stuff,

bringing it down here
by the river and leaving it.

Strange.

That guy told us people go
missing around here all the time.

I mean, this isn't just some
random clothes strewn about.

This is somebody's outfit.

Finding those clothes
stuck on the ground like that

makes me think that
they're from a missing person.

Why would you leave
your jacket, your shoes?

It makes no sense.

Considering where I am in proximity to this
work camp and what I saw on the thermal,

I'm convinced that Bigfoot
could very well be involved.

I all of a sudden don't like
being here after seeing this.

What the hell happened here?

This belonged to somebody,
and they just left it here

and disappeared
to God knows where.
