Russ and Mireya are gonna go
across the mainland to follow this tracker.

I don't think my work

Bigfoot here on this island.

It picked up
something right over this way.

This is our beginning point and
the best lead we've gotten so far.

It's moving.

That looks like something
standing up.

at the same time.

- You think these creatures have the ability -to affect our mind or...

They're capable of just
about anything.

I think we found a handprint.

After the discovery of what
appears to be a massive handprint,

Ronny decided to leave Prince of
Wales Island and join Russell and Mireya

at the location of the prints.

- Take a look at this.
- Oh, wow.

- Oh, yeah.

- The hand... Oh, my God.
- You see that?

Those fingers look
long as hell, dude.

Whoa!

And then, there's
something else over here.

We think these look like
knuckle prints.

I can see
the indentation right there.

This could be
an incredible find.

There's reports of them not only on
two legs, but they'll get down on all fours

to actually move quicker
through areas.

Remember that skull recreation
that we analyzed last year?

Here it is, you guys.

During last year's expedition,
the team had a forensic scientist

recreate a possible Bigfoot skull
based on eyewitness testimony.

What I thought was really interesting
is this opening at the base of the skull.

Mireya observed that the skull
appeared to have hybrid characteristics

similar to both humans and apes.

It would be able to walk bipedally,
but it would also spend time on all fours

walking quadrupedally
on the ground.

It's so strange to find something like that here
because we've been seeing a lot of indentations

throughout the forest,
but nothing definitive.

But to me, even more interesting, that because
that... The hand, and then the knuckle,

that is such ape-like behavior.

The knuckle walking.

It's almost like he's... They're
pulling themselves up over this thing.

And you guys found footprints
as well?

Yeah.

This is something that
actually has me intrigued.

And then, right here, this
is a right handprint, right?

So, the footprint... Right handprint, this
thing, direction going straight out that way.

Guys, we have two sets
of tracks.

there seemed to be two of them.

If we're talking about

This area is so vast, so dense, and this
terrain is so difficult to get across that...

I mean, it's gonna take a lot for
us to pick back up on this track.

The good news is, we believe they're headed
east along this river and according to the maps,

the river valley forms a bowl
with steep cliffs on each side.

Perhaps we can trap these
creatures in that valley.

Now, we just need something
to scan the area quickly.

I might have the perfect
piece of tech for this.

It's used in search and rescue
for locating missing people.

Well, we wanna get to that area.

My guess is if whatever we're tracking makes
it out of that river valley, it's gone.

Where we found that
handprint and those footprints

are right before this river
breaks into this fork.

So, I'm staying to the right, Russ and
Mireya are gonna handle the other side.

The 20,000-acre river valley is surrounded
by 3,000-foot mountains on all sides.

The team has split up to cover as much
of this massive swath of land as possible.

They're hoping Bryce's tech will
give them a leg up in their search.

This is our best lead and we are
not stopping until there's no hope.

And right now, there's hope.

The drone team should be arriving
at the location right about now.

I'm heading out to coordinate
with them.

Given the rough and dense
terrain that surrounds this area

and the head start that this creature already
has, I knew we needed a technological advantage.

Time is running out, it's
time to bust out the big g*ns.

What we have here
is the Autel Dragonfish.

Primarily, we're doing overwatch, search
and rescue, any type of apprehension.

This fixed-wing drone is equipped
with three different types of cameras.

A wide angle lens, giving us a
complete overview of the search area.

A 20x optical zoom lens, which can determine the
color of someone's hair from 800 feet in the air.

And lastly, a thermal camera, which
picks up any kind of heat signature.

There's no way anything
is escaping us now.

Well, let's get this thing
in the air.

The most important part of what makes this drone
so special is its ability to stay in the air

and survey longer
than any other drone.


she's gonna make a slight left turn.

During forward flight, the fixed-wing
creates lift and conserves battery power.

This can add an extra two hours per flight,
versus conventional drones and could prove key

when searching such a vast
and dense target zone.

- So, this thing flies in continuous circles, - is that right?
- It is.

In order to maximize flight time, this
fixed-wing drone does not hover in place

like a traditional
multi-rotor drone.

Instead, it tracks its targets by
flying in a circular pattern overhead.

This device not only gives us eyes from the
sky, but it allows us to search large areas

with pinpoint accuracy.

No other drone has afforded us
these capabilities before.

This is the most sophisticated piece of technology
we've ever used on our hunt for Bigfoot.

I'm at the river
where it splits off into two.

You guys aren't gonna believe
this, but I got us a fixed-wing drone.

And it can stay in the air
for hours on end.

If something's out here,
this thing is gonna find it.

themselves at the west end of the valley

where the rivers converge.

From here, they'll monitor the drone feed as

near the banks
of the two rivers.

when their ability to navigate the drone

safely diminishes.

where they believe the creature
spotted in the thermal was heading,

where a humanoid thermal signature was just
spotted 200 yards from Ronny's position.

From here, where that stem is broken to this,
that's a six-foot stride at least right there.

trees just stack up on top of each other.

I'd say so.

When we get to this clearing,
we're hit with this overwhelming smell,

and then that's when we realize there's
actually a fresh k*ll right in front of us.

The entire area
is soaked in blood.

Whoa.

Is that a rib?

Two ribs. Two ribs.

I would have to think with the size
of this rib bone, that this is like an elk

or the black-tailed deer
that's... The Sitka Blacktail?

Yeah. Man, this stinks.

- Hey, what we got, I think...
- You got something? - I think so.

I mean, it looks like
that was just broken in half.

Yeah, you're right.
Check that out.

This has been broken through.

On that side, too?

Yeah.
That's a big bone to break.

That was either bitten
through or broken through.

The biggest takeaway from this bloody mess
could be that Ronny found a rather large bone

which could unlock
a critical clue.

Holy crap.

Mireya once told me that early humans used
to split bones and drink the bone marrow,

which may have been important in the
development of prehistoric hominid brains.

Recently, scientists have
hypothesized that human ancestors

wouldn't just eat the meat of an animal,
but consume marrow encased within the bones.

The protein and fat-rich substance may have
acted as a catalyst in the development of humans'

distinctively large
and complex brain.

Thus, spurting a major step
in human evolution.

Looking at this bloody m*ssacre, it
doesn't look like normal animal predation.

What the hell?

That could be because we're dealing
with something that's not a normal animal.

It's a human relative and it may
explain the obsidian Russell found as well.

Holy that's not glass,
that's obsidian.

Last week, while investigating a
believed underground Bigfoot shelter,

Russell discovered shards of
obsidian also known as volcanic glass.

Soon after, Bryce discovered that
obsidian was also found in a nearby cave

along with the 10,000-year-old
remains of a human ancestor.

Suggesting that he was
using it as a cutting tool.

Bigfoot may just be a type of
early primitive human species.

I mean, my gut's telling me this isn't...
this isn't done by a bear or a big cat,

- or even wolves, man.
- No.

I've come across remains of animals in
the forest before, but nothing like this.

And the fact that this
is right in the same area

where Bryce got this thermal image on
the drone, I'm confident this is Bigfoot.

but we did find something else.

And all signs are pointing to it heading directly
towards the glacier at the top of the river.

So, we're gonna keep
chasing it as long as we can.

creature's capable of.

It's been a couple of hours since we've
found the remains of something torn apart,

not too far from here.

Now, we're in an area where
they couldn't have gone too far.

- What the... The sun's already up, man.

The Alaskan nights are
getting shorter and shorter.

Whatever tore apart that
animal up there, if it's nocturnal,

we still have about 45 minutes
until daylight comes through.

And we know that that last hour of hunting
time they're gonna be the most active.

So, we wanna make sure that
we're checking out this entire area.

You can hear the birds starting
to wake up in the morning now.

I'm exhausted.

Alaska's kicking our a*s.

The snow is crazy.

Sometimes you get to walk on
top, sometimes it just drops you.

Yeah.

After hiking all night with only a short rest,
Russell and Mireya have reached the ice field

at the termination of the
river that the team is following.

Any kind of tracks would
stand out like a sore thumb.

And I haven't seen
anything fresh.

Not for this entire day.

We know something big
is heading in this direction

because Bryce spotted it
on that fixed-wing drone,

but whatever it was, has been
able to avoid our detection.

I've never seen anything be able to move
through the snow without leaving tracks.

That completely defies logic.

Wow. Look at that glacier.

Oh, man.

Is that a river
right in front of it?

I mean, there's nothing.

- No.
- You see that whole field?

There's not a single track,
not even old stuff.

I... I'm... I wouldn't
have to be a good tracker

to be able to look across
this whole field right here.

There's not a single
footprint, not a track nothing.

I mean, the thing is, if any... if anything did
come through here you just hit this big wall.

- Yeah.
- -And freezing cold water.

I'm not sure what would
wanna move through that.

We know that something is out here
because we saw it on the fixed-wing drone.

I know we haven't seen any tracks,
but maybe we just choose a direction

and keep going down that path
and see if we see anything else.

Yeah, we can get up
into that tree line.

I definitely don't think we
should give up on this place.

It was some kind of figure over there on the
ridge, just kind of dropping over the horizon.

I don't know what that was on that
ridgeline, but I swear I saw something.

And my gut tells me that's the exact same thing
that Bryce spotted on that fixed-wing drone.

Oh, my God, it's moving.

What would be up there?

I have no idea.

What did it look like to you?

I say we try to find a way
to get up there.

It may seem counterintuitive for something
to try and hide on a giant sheet of ice,

but glaciers can be filled with deep crevices,
and it's a place where humans rarely go.

It might actually be
the perfect place to hide.

That glacier is our next target.

I've been walking
for the last few hours.

Ronny and I are trying to... kind of just
track whatever made that k*ll last night.

Haven't had much luck.

Whatever that was was enormous.

And it had the ability
to rip something apart.

It's like the thing
just picked up and vanished.

Hey, Bryce.

Hey, Ron. You got something?

Yeah. Come check this out.

- I wanna get your take.
- What's going on, man?

All right.
So, this caught my eye.

I noticed that there's
a little game trail

kind of coming up in this opening
that goes right to the water.

Yeah.

But look right up here.

Do you see that?

- Is that a claw mark?
- -That's what it looks like.

Oh, wow.

Is that bear or...
I don't think so.

Because I don't see any other
claw marks around the tree

you would normally have
there climbing up.

- Yeah. Yeah.
- Look how high up that is, about 8-feet off the ground to reach that.

Look how big that looks, dude.

I can't be positive that
this is the mark of a Bigfoot,

but I'm pretty sure
that this isn't a bear.

They'll leave parallel lines.

And this is much different.

Whatever did this, it looks to be really
strong, big, and the main point here is tall.

There's no way
a bear would make this.

You know, this idea
that Bigfoot has claws.

I spoke with a witness who told me
he heard something outside his camper.

It sounded like claw marks, but not
like a bear that would, like, scratch.

It was more... all
along the whole trailer.

This is it, man.

It doesn't look like bear.

This is something large, strong.

Looks like some
kind of a marker, man.

Like... Like marked here.

We wouldn't necessarily see it, but
maybe some other creatures of the same kind

would recognize
this is where water is.

This is what made that k*ll,
and it's moving through this path.

I feel like it's pointing us in this
direction down here by the river.

And that means
better visible tracks.

I feel like we're so close.

Here. Let's go down here.

Watch yourself.

No tracks. It's too rocky.

Well, I can only hope that Russ and
Mireya are having better luck than us.

Oh, wow. Look at this.

This is right below
where I saw it.

In pursuit of whatever they
spotted on top of the ridgeline,

Russell and Mireya have completed the
dangerous climb to the top of the glacier.

If this thing escapes into
the interior, we'll never find it.

This is our one and only shot.

I can't imagine
we've ever been this close.

We need to close that gap.

Oh.

I can't believe
how much colder it is up here.

It would need a lot of hair.

I mean, this is a... this is a really brutal
environment for any animal to live in, really.

A glacier doesn't make sense as
an area for a large primate to live.

But if it's being used as a conduit
to another area or as a place to hide,

then I can see it
being a possibility.

You know, growing up, did a lot of hunting
and we went through a lot of these snow areas.

But getting on this glacier,
this is no joke.

Something with a padded foot
like a bear even

would be very difficult
to track through this stuff.

So, this makes it tough.

- There's water.
- Yeah.

We know most animals
will follow those waterways.

And I'm betting that
Bigfoot would do the same.

When there's nothing else to
track, nature and the wildlife remain.

Wow!

It's an ice cave.

I mean, that could be a shelter.

You got that right.

If Bigfoot is here, this is
where it could be hiding.



Oh, wow. Oh, my God.

It gets really tight here.

Get out of your way here.

Something must have
come through here.

A glacier is in constant motion.

And an ice cave like this can
form quickly and go on for miles.

We have no idea when this was
formed or even how stable it is,

but at this point, it's the only logical
place that an animal would run to

from the position
that it was spotted.

There's the water.

This is a huge find.

Because if an animal is gonna
survive in this type of environment,

this is exactly the type
of shelter it's gonna need.

So, let's try
and look for some tracks.

Not only is this cave a good spot for a
shelter, but it's also a good escape route.

The amount of running water in this cave will
match the sound of anything coming through here,

as well as erase any
footprints of anything left behind.

You seeing anything, Russ?

Mireya, I'm not seeing
anything on the standby at all.

Let's keep moving.

Look at how this opens up.

Wow.

Look at that.

Whatever we're tracking is on its way to the
interior and it's gonna keep moving south

where they're gonna get
more darkness.

We're talking about a mountainous
landscape three times the size of Texas.

We wouldn't be able to
find it in that vast landscape.

We have no choice
but to get to it first.

And our chances of catching
something on foot are nonexistent.

That option we discussed
earlier, is it still a possibility?

Let's go.

Their hope is to spot the
creature they're tracking

before it reaches the
great expanse of the interior.

Once we're out the snowfield and under
the dense forest, we've lost our chance.

The bright snow
is the perfect contrast.

Anything walking on it will
stick out like a sore thumb.

Are you seeing
anything at all down there?

I don't see any movement.

Oh, man.

Not a single sign of life.

Nothing.

Oh, no.

There's the interior.

Can we flip around
and take another look?

Crap.

I'm still not seeing anything.

Unbelievable.

Dammit.

The whole way that science
works is that you test and you retest

and you make mistakes and
you fail and you don't give up.

You keep pushing because
from every one of those mistakes

and every one of those failures comes a lesson
and comes the ability to really build on that,

so that the next time that we're out
here, we're gonna be that much stronger.

And at the end of the day, we're not
coming out of this expedition empty-handed.

We're gonna take all these lessons with us,
and that is gonna get us one step closer.

So, the team has gone home.

And as usual, I'm taking a second look at
everything that we captured out in the field.

Do you remember those microphones
that Ronny and Mireya placed?

They were supersensitive, omnidirectional
microphones that are programed

to start recording whenever
they pick up a sound.

And we left them out there
the entire time we were there.

Needless to say, they picked up all kinds of
sounds, most of them birds and small animals.

But after a while, I was able to find
something that really captured my attention.

Take a listen to this.

I think
that's a Bigfoot speaking.

I mean, that doesn't sound like
any bird or animal of the forest I know.

That sounds like
a human voice to me.

And here's the thing, right?

This was taken
in the middle of the night.

And the entire time we were there,
we didn't run across another soul.

So, I doubt that
this is some hiker or hunter.

To me, this is
a Bigfoot vocalization.

So, I wanted to reach out to
somebody who could make sense of this.

And I got a hold of a man
named Dr. Ronald Cosper.

After gaining his master's in
linguistics from Cornell University,

Dr. Ronald Cosper built a career out
of studying rare and complex languages.

In 2018, he published a study based on the notorious
case of Albert Ostman, a Canadian prospector

who was allegedly kidnapped
and held c*ptive by Bigfoot for days.

Based on the testimony of Ostman,
Cosper believes he has translated

several words
spoken by the beasts.

Obviously, he's the perfect
person to talk to about this.

He said he's ready to go
over his analysis.

possible Bigfoot audio recordings.

What do you make of these?

Well, I was able
to transcribe it.

It sounded quite hominid to me.

In other words,
either humans or near human.

Wow.

And I was able to hear the sounds and know
where they were articulated in the mouth.

Got you.

Was there anything that you
discerned as possible words?

Well, I heard something like
"Waves, Flat, Kumba ".

Interesting.

But again, what the conditions
were is another matter.

How far away,
how much noise there was.

Yeah, it's interesting.

I mean, we can only guess at it,
but we were tracking something,

and then we get these
audio files.

What did you think
you were following?

Was it two individuals or... Did you
pick up more than one creature, Ron?

- Yes.
- Really?

I thought the final utterance was said by a
different individual than the first part of it.

You're kidding.

The voice that's something
like, "Waves, Flat"

seemed to be a different voice
from the one that answered "Kumba."

Ron, you just blew my mind.

Contextually, that makes sense, because,
you know, when they were out in the field,

they felt that they were tracking more than one,
uh, by the prints that they were able to see

and just the activity that
was taking place around them.

And now, you're telling us that through your
expertise, you possibly hear more than one,

especially at the end.

Ron, let me just ask you, do you think these
creatures we call Bigfoot are capable of language?

Sure. It wouldn't surprise me.

In the reports that I have
seen with the Yowie in Australia.

You mean the Australian
version of Bigfoot, of course?

Right.

They seem to engage in
something like language.

And when they are in a group,
when there's more than one.

Oh, wow.

And that seems to be what
we're coming up with here.

That language is used
when there is a group.

I think that's incredible.

I felt that I already knew

that there was, in fact,
more than one creature.

But what's even more important is
that they were possibly communicating.

It's incredible to think that we
are walking away from Alaska

with possible audio evidence
of Bigfoot speech.

And more than that, possible video evidence,


more audio evidence,
screams, and howls.

In other words,
our work is just beginning.

I think this was one of the most challenging
expeditions any of us have ever been on.

The weather,
the terrain, the wildlife.

But this expedition
was also our most effective.

The bounty of evidence we collected
is gonna give us a huge leap forward

to confirming
the existence of Bigfoot.

If that means that we need to go to an even more
dangerous location or come back here to Alaska?

Then that's exactly
what we're gonna do.
