[male announcer] 'Welcome again to another action and antics packed'
'All Star Laff-A-Lympics.'
'Our first half will take place here in exotic Egypt.'
'A land of silent mysteries.'

[male announcer] 'Then girdling the globe via the tube'
'we'll take you to jolly old England's Sherwood Forest'
'where the day's thrilling and--'
Yikes.
[male announcer] 'Eh, noisy games will be concluded.'
'Now, back to Egypt where our three champion teams'
'are trying to do sports battle.'
'The Scooby Doobies, the Yogi Yahooeys'
'and those rotten Really Rottens.'
'Yes, folks, these dynamite teams'
'will soon explode into action'
'to win the ultimate in sports honors'
'the Laff-A-Lympics Gold.'
'Now, down to our on-the-scene reporters.'
'Snagglepuss and Mildew.'
Make that a scene. A scene from an old horror movie even.
All I can say are two things.
First, are any of you kids out there missing your mummy?
And second, a-a-ah!
Ha ha ha. That'll keep them from nosing around.
So we can cheat in peace. Eh, Mumbly?
[snickering]
[male announcer] 'Our first event will be a race to the tip of the pyramid.'
'The winner will receive 25 points, 15 for second'
'and ten for third. Let's meet our contestants.'
'It's Speed Buggy and Tinker for the Scooby Doobies.'
'Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo will race for the Yogis.'
'And representing those Really Rottens'
'two of the Rottens, Creepley and Orful.'
'Besides our usual no cheating rules'
'the only other one is, first to touch the pyramid top wins.'
So, get ready and go even.
[instrumental music]
Wait for me, Boo-Boo.
[male announcer] 'What teamwork, folks.'
'The Yogis are half way up the pyramid.'
[snickering]
'Don't ask me where that hoist came from.'
'But it's pulling the Rottens up to pass the Yogis.'
'But where are the Scoobies?'
I'd say they chickened out.
[sputtering]
Not that I blame 'em, bein' a chicken myself.
[male announcer] 'No, Mildew, they merely backed up for a running start.'
Oh, Peachy. Now, ya tell me.
'Too bad, Speedy. All you need is a fraction more traction.'
Ha ha ha. All he needs are these.
To put him out of action.
[sputtering]
Golly, Speedy, how'd you know you'd get more
traction with half filled tires?
[sputtering] Beats me.
So, let's make tracks.
Zowie! They're making tracks.

All over me.
Gee, pyramid racing's easy.
Ah. There's nothing to it, Boo-Boo
'when you know the ropes.'

[snickering]
That presents a problem.
- Ah, what problem? - No more rope.
Yes, Boo-Boo. That does present a problem.

Now we'll win this race sitting down.
Alright, Rottens. Next stop, the top.
We're stuck, Yogi.
Fear not, Boo-Boo. I'll get us un-stuck.
- Oops! - Woah!
Great, Yogi. Now, let's head for the top.
And how do we do that, Boo-Boo? Take an elevator? Ha ha.
[Boo-Boo] 'Sure, how do you know, Yogi?'
No time for braggin', Boo-Boo. We got a race to win.
What a scorcher of a race it is, folks.
The Scoobies are near, the Rottens are movin' up
close behind. But there's still no sign of the Yogis.
Golly, Speedy. Don't lose your grip.
[panting] I'll try not to.
Drat! The Scoobies will touch the tip first.
Unless there's no tip to touch.
I still wonder what happened to the Yogis.
So stop wonderin' and watch.
Our X-ray lens camera just discovered
the Yogis are still in the race.
'It looks like they've discovered a secret elevator.'
They're not only still in the race
they might touch the tip first.
Tune in the Rottens, and see if they're still cheatin'.
They are. It looks like an inside job.
Drat. We've been found out.
But if we can't win, nobody will.
Enough of this. Back to my telescope.
[Snagglepuss] 'This is it folks. Who'll be the first to touch the tip?'
Nobody. I've got the tip.
Golly! We've got to stop him.
Grab that tip with your whip.
[sputtering]
- 'Okay, okay.' - Drat!
Wow. The Scoobies not only touched the tip first
'they're bringin' it down with them.'
[cheering]
'The Yogis are second and the Rottens are last.'
[whirring]
[rattling]
[all cheering]
[male announcer] 'Let's check the scoreboard.'
'We see the Scoobies are first with 25 points.'
'The Yogis second at 15 and the Rottens'
'last with ten points.'
'Now, back to Snag and our next race.'
Not allowing any sand to go under our feet folks.
We now pick up the camel race event.
Just getting under way as a matter of fact.
'The first team to cross the finish line wins.'
'For the Yogis, it's Quick Draw McGraw.'
Giddy up, camel.
Alright, you gall-darn stubborn mule. Don't giddy up.
[Snagglepuss] 'And representing the Really Rottens, it's--'
I, the Great Fondoo, and I say go.
[inhaling]
[blows raspberry]
[Snagglepuss] 'And racing for the Scooby Doobies is Scooby-Dum.'
For heaven's sake, one of you two
has his head on backwards.
♪ De-dum-dum he won't go ♪♪
Naturally, he won't go.
You have to speak his language. So observe already.
[no audio]

That's Egyptian hieroglyphics
lower-glyphics even.
Naming you better split.
'Because there's a camel hair coat tailor'
'who's looking for talented material.'

I guess that gets everybody up and runnin'.
'Quick Draw's flying start keeps him in the lead.'
'Scooby-Dum is slowing gaining.'
'But Great Fondoo is miles from the start.'
And obvious-less-lawsly goin' in the wrong direction.
'If there is a wrong direction.'
Abracadabra do not fail. Over the sand, I shall sail.

Oh no. Scooby-Dum's camel is snacking
on a kookaberry bush.
'Now anything can happen. As predicted, there he goes.'

[male announcer] 'And now as our racers near the finish line'
'it looks like the Rottens will sail across for an easy win.'
Ha, I told you, camel.
[blows raspberry]
Smart Alec sand cow.
[galloping]
I, Fondoo say, rickety-rick, rickety-rack.
Oh, my lost camel, come back.
[male announcer] 'The Rottens are stalled.'
[grumbling]
'And here comes the first two leaders.'
That is if they don't slip upon these banana peels.

Woah! Yohan! Quit that ya clumsy dum-dum.
[male announcer] 'The Scoobies have just sprung into the lead.'
'Cross the finish line first.'

'Yeah, just like that.'
[male announcer] 'Fondoo comes sneaking in.'
Woah, giddy up. Ya lazy beastie.
'Can Quick Draw catch Fondoo?'
'Yes, it's Yogi's Quick Draw McGraw in second place.'
'And here comes the Great Fondoo being ridden in for third.'
Now a word from our third placed contestant.
[blows raspberry]
Spoken like a true loser. A rotten one even.
[blows raspberry]
[male announcer] 'Ending the first half, the Scoobies are first'
'with 50 points, the Yogis second at 30'
'while the Really Rottens are last with 20.'
Thank heavens it's over.
A fellow can stand just so much excitement.
That's only half of it, Mildew.
There's twice as much comin' up later.
- What's that? - Ice.
I gotta keep a cool head on my shoulders.
[male announcer] 'In the second half, we'll spin over to Sherwood Forest'
'to conclude today's events.'
That's where rottenness will win out for us Rottens, darling.
Hmph. A team of wild horses couldn't drag me there.
Then how about a lift on an ocean going Grape Ape?
Grape Ape.
Well, since I didn't bring my water wings, I guess so.
And you join us too, kids. Water wings or not.
It's gonna be a grudge battle for the Rottens.
And you know what that means.
[male announcer] 'Yes, folks. It will mean thrills, action'
'and laughs aplenty in the second half'
'of the Laff-A-Lympics.'
'Welcome back, sports fans.'
'We're here in Sherwood Forest for the final half'
'of the All Star Laff-A-Lympics.'
'The featured event will be the foot race in full armor.'
'And the romantic courage testing'
'Rescue The Princess Contest.'
'Now, as our armored athletes get set for the race'
'let's join Snagglepuss at the starting line.'
Let's meet our armored athletes.
Our tin can contestants, even.
'For the Scoobies, it's Sir Shaggy.'
'Attended by squire, Scooby-Doo.'
[Scoobies cheering]
[Snagglepuss] 'Sir Grape Ape and his trusty squire, Huckleberry Hound'
'for the Yogis.'
[Yogi's cheering]
And for the Rottens, it's Sir Dinky Dalton
'and Squire Dirty.'

- Hey! - He really likes the big jobs.
Now hear this. They'll be racing over this course.
First to cross the finish line is the winner.
To encourage good sportsmanship, a 50-point bonus
will be awarded to the knight
who best exemplifies those qualities.
[male announcer] 'Because of the 50-point bonus'
'now even the Really Rottens'
'will have a chance for the Laff-A-Lympics gold medal.'
Well, the racers are here on the starting line ready to go.
Anytime now.

The bridge is out, Dirty.
[Dirty] 'Looks in to me.'

What a sensational sneaky trick, I'll merely switch the sides
around to bog down the competition. Ha ha ha.

Yep. The ol' sneaky switcheroo.

Alright, Rottens. What rottenness are you up to now?
You mean good sportin', Mildew.
You see, we intend to exemplify good sportsmanship
by warning our fellow sportsmen of the soggy bog.
Yeah. And win us 50 points bonus to boot. He he he.

That's something a first in Laff-A-Lympics
sports history, folks, if the Rottens really are
being good sports.
Oh, no. Dinky switched my already switched signs. Oh.
Now, he is going to be a good sport in spite of himself.
The ol' sneaky switcheroo worked again.
Yep. Pretty soon them goody goods'll get bogged down.

And that'll take teach 'em to respect us Rottens' word.
Ah, Dink, do you have that soggy feeling
something went screwy with our switcheroo?
Yep, it appears that way.
We've been done in by our own dirty doings.

The Really Rottens really were telling the real truth.

And here comes our 50 bonus point winners, Sir Dinky
and Dirty Dalton in third place.

[male announcer] 'Now checking the scores, we see that the Rottens'
'lead with 70, thanks to their 50-point bonus.'

'while the Yogis have dropped to last place at 55.'
'I see the Rescue The Princess Contest is all set to begin.'
'So let's go meet the rescuers.'
'They are The Blue Falcon for the Scoobies.'
'Dread Baron for Rottens.'
'And the Yogis have Doggie Daddy.'
Earlier, a secret ballot vote was taken
to choose the princess.
A fair damsel in distress even.
So who gets chosen?
[Daisy] 'Me!'
I was voted princess 'cause of my beauty and charm.
Hurry, Orful. This vote box oughta hold another 10,000
secret votes for our Daisy.
[male announcer] 'Remember athletes, the rules of chivalry'
'apply to this contest.'
'And the first to climb up and rescue the princess'
'is winner take all.'
That's 25 points.
[male announcer] 'So at the sound of the trumpet, get going.'
Now, Mildew.

[male announcer] 'Uh-oh. There goes Doggy Daddy crossing the moat.'

'Now, it's only a hundred foot climb to the princess.'
