this is the village of mcgilly cuddy

it's a small place and of course

everybody knows everybody else's

but sometimes what they hear is not what

it really turns out to be

the other day i was talking on the

telephone to eddie

she's rather pretty

well that's a fine bill

i'll pick her up from the lighthouse

and yes she can stay for a week

of course i have to get some special

food for her i couldn't offer her

ordinary food hmm and i'm sure that she

loved talking to all the villagers
