I want all my friends to be safe and sound.

But today, I was worried

that Maxx and Nick were in travel.

But they were just practicing a fire drill.

Do you know what that is?

I wasn't sure.

So I asked my friends to help me learn more

about safety on your planet.

But if you ever have a real emergency,

it's important to get help fast.

- Dialing 911 is the quickest way

to call the police or the fire department.

- Or an ambulance.

- Hey, it sounds like you've all

It was a drill.

- A drill?

- I was practicing in case we had an emergency.

- Zoom, that's not a drill.

That's just scaring someone.

- It is? Huh.

Then what's a drill?

- A drill is when you practice taking safe steps

during an emergency.

You can't just run around screaming

about fires and earthquakes. - Earthquake? Where?

Huh? No, no. Earthquake. Fire.

- But Zoom. Zoom.

(grunting) Mm mm mm.

- Looks like you guys are gearing up

for something big.

- Oh, it's been such an exciting day, Mrs. Z.

Nick and Maxx had a fire drill this morning.

And now we're learning all about being safe.

- Oh, safety's an important part of my job.

And today's letter fits in perfectly.

It's the letter C for careful.

I remember to be careful when walking near traffic.

- By looking both ways

before you cross the street.

- And C is for crosswalk, too.

You should only cross at crosswalks,

right, Mrs. Z?

- You got it.

Looks like you've learned a lot already.

- And we're learning how to take care

of ourselves every day.

- You are?

Well, tell me more about it.

Now that we have your attention,

we'd like to teach you a few things

about being safe in your home.

- Fire is a very serious thing.

The best way to stay safe is not

to have a fire at all.

- That's right.

Stay away from matches

and don't play with wall sockets.

Both are very dangerous

and can start a fire in your home.

- Oh. And make sure your parents have a smoke alarm.

And that it works.

It can help you get out of the house

if there is a fire.

- Yes. But there are other things

in your house that are dangerous too.

- Oh, like what, Dr. Maxx? (laughing)

- Never play with medicine bottles

or take medicine unless a parent gives it to you.

Too much medicine might hurt you.

- It's important to get help when you need it,

but you should always be careful with strangers.

- Oh, Michael.

Uh, I mean, uh, of the third Michael.

- Never answer the door unless you know who it is.

And never give out your name

to a stranger on the phone.

- Hm. And what do we do if we need help

in an emergency?

- Uh, uh, ooh. I know.

I'm learning so much in safety school today.

We should always check before we let someone

in our house or spaceship.

Oh, I've been so busy getting prepared

for emergencies, I forgot about lunch.

Ever since my ship landed here on earth,

I've learned lots about your planet.

Today, I learned all about safety

and how to be safe in our own home.

When I saw Maxx and Nick having a fire drill,

I asked them to teach me more about being safe.

and my friends showed her how they're growing up

and learning to take care of themselves.
