01x21 - A visit to grandmother's

a visit to

grandmothers it was a very special day

hooray hooray

Connie was very happy because she was

going to visit her

grandma I think it would be nice if you

took your grandma a present

oh why don't we fill up a basket with

presents for you today to

Grandma so Connie's mommy and daddy made

up a basket with two presents a woolly

scarf and a nice Red Apple oh goody

Grandma will be ever so

pleased how exciting I can't wait to

give her the present

[Music]

so Connie set off to

Grandma's she carried the basket of

presents very carefully in her

[Music]

mouth as she was walking Connie looked

at all the little animals she passed on

her way

[Music]

down by the riverbank a dragonfly was

playing with a

[Music]

frog when Connie arrived the Frog hopped

into the

water on the other bank a mother sheep

and her little lamb were getting ready

to cross the river the lamb was Connie's

friend Maddie so she wanted to say hello

first

mother sheep jumped from one stepping

stone to another until she was across

the

river but the little lamb wasn't very

steady on her

feet and she fell into the

[Music]

water the water in the river was cold

and the little lamb started to

shiver Connie felt sorry for Maddie and

gave her the scarf from the basket here

you are put this scarf often and you'll

soon be warm again that's very kind of

you say thank you madine thanks very

much Connie you're a real

friend Connie was happy because she'd

been able to help her friends the

Sheep even though she didn't have a

scarf in her basket anymore Connie was

very cheerful I've still got one present

for Grandma and mie really needed that

scarf nearby a mouse was pushing a taste

y Peach back to his

nest the mouse was so busy pushing his

Peach along but he didn't notice when he

came to a hill and oh dear the peach

rolled

away oh no what am I going to eat for M

dinner

now don't worry I've got just a thing

for you Mr Mouse would you like a nice

juicy red

apple haha Connie felt very sorry for

the mouse so she gave him the

Apple oh Connie thank you so much that's

very kind of

you Connie was very happy that she'd

been able to help the mouse and she

continued on her way to her Grandma's

house but she heard something that made

her stop and listen oh I can hear

somebody

[Music]

crying it was a mother bird and her

little one sitting in a tree hello Birds

what's the

matter the wind has blown our Nest away

and now we have no home to call our own

Connie was sorry to see the birds

looking so unhappy and she decided to

help them there's no need to be upset I

think I've got just what you need right

here if you put this basket up in the

tree it'll make a splendid nest for both

of

[Music]

you thank you Connie how thoughtful of

you that basket is ever so strong I'm

sure the wind will never blow it away

the birds were very happy with their

smart new Nest oh Connie this is the

most wonderful Nest I've ever seen thank

you so

much so with no presents and no basket

Connie continued on her way finally she

came to a stop at the top of a

hill she could see a lovely little

house oh goody that's Grandma's house I

can't wait to see

[Music]

her YooHoo Grandma it's me

Connie how lovely it is to see

you oh Grandma I was supposed to be

bringing you some presents but on the

way I met some animals who needed them

so I gave them all away I hope you don't

mind Connie having you here is the best

present I can

imagine I've got a surprise for you I

made it specially and I think you'll

like it how exciting I can't wait to

find out what it

is it's a great big fruit

cake oh my favorite and it looks

scrumptious M can I try it Connie

thought how lucky she was her grandma

wasn't just the nicest grandma in the

world she was the world's best cake

maker

[Music]

too that night Connie was very happy as

she went off to sleep she thought about

the Sheep The Mouse and the two birds

it's a nice feeling to know you've

helped someone who needed a hand sweet

dreams Connie
