01x33 - The travelling tree

the traveling

tree it was a beautiful day Connie and

her mommy and daddy were up very early

to make the most of the wonderful

weather now take care Connie and make

sure you don't stay out too late it's

okay mommy I'll be back nice and early

don't worry

[Music]

Connie walked happily through the woods

she had no idea that she was about to

have an exciting

adventure oh somebody's for who is

[Music]

it huh

oh hello

coning all that

tickles but who's tickling you Mr tree I

can't see anybody there a bat in my

branches and there it was a bat sleeping

soundly I don't understand it's daytime

and he's fast asleep but that's what

bats do they sleep all day and they're

awake at night so bats do everything the

other way around he sleeps upside down

too just then the bat woke up and when

he saw saw everybody looking at him he

flew away to find somewhere more

peaceful to sleep all of a sudden the

tree became

sad if only I could fly like a bat or

swim like one of those

fish Connie felt very sorry for the tree

because she knew he couldn't move but

you're a tree and trees just can't fly

and they can't swim either oh I know

Connie but sometimes a dream of

traveling the world seeing new places of

meeting lots of new friends well maybe

with a bit of help you

[Music]

can Connie helped the tree to pull its

long roots out of the ground and the

tree popped into the

river

ha Connie thought it would be marvelous

to go traveling with the tree so she

jumped on board and the two of them went

sailing down the river

as they floated along they watched The

beautiful landscape go

[Music]

by what a lot of things there are to see

traveling is just as good as I thought

it would

be bnie and the tree carried on down

river nearby some ants were sailing in a

little wooden

Bowl Connie saw the ants in their little

boat she thought that the tree might

bump into

them the ants saw the tree coming

towards

[Music]

them but Connie bravely jumped into the

water and stopped the tree the ants came

paddling by in their bowl

Connie thought they had had a lucky

Escape they almost got very

[Music]

wet while the ant sailed on Connie and

the tree continued their exciting Voyage

down the

river all of a sudden the current St

started to pull them along faster and

faster Connie and the tree could hear

the sound of a waterfall somewhere close

[Music]

by but just when it seemed they would go

over the waterfall the tree saw a rock

to catch hold

of Connie was very happy because

everything that worked out well but she

noticed that the tree was sad I don't

like traveling anymore it's much too

exciting for a tree I need to put my

roots in the Earth again I'm hungry and

that's how I get my

[Applause]

food so while Sam the rabbit watched the

fish play in the river Connie made a

hole in the ground for the tree to put

its roots

in oh I feel much better already con

thank you for helping me to get planted

it's just a shame I'm on my own I wish

that I had a few friends don't be sad Mr

tree you won't be on your own round here

just look at how many friends you

have the tree was in luck he was

surrounded by other trees and they were

all very happy to see

him hello there tree welcome to the

family oh thank you con for helping me

find such a wonderful place to

stay not at all I'm happy to see you

looking so happy con the nicest in the

world and Connie stayed to play with the

tree all afternoon

that night Connie thought that travel is

a lot of fun but that everyone needs a

place to stay where they'll always have

a friend whenever they need one sweet
