fast nothing seemed to stop his progress

until at last he came to a fork in the

path oh good that weighs a shortcut I

should go straight ahead but I've got a

clever plan to get there quicker how

naughty poor old snooze he was losing

badly enough anyway without Dodger

tricks but clever tricks have a habit of

going and that's just what happened to

Dodger oh no I've got myself completely

lost I better turn around and go back

Dodger the cat had to retrace his steps

and what a long way it was

too oh I can't go any

further Connie and snooze made their way

through the forest until they came to

river it's okay snooze I'll help you

cross look just walk across my

back smooze thanked Connie for helping

him when they caught up with Dodger he

was fast to

see hey Dodger this is no time to take a

nap you'd better wake up if you want to

win the race but I'm exhausted I tried

to take a shortcut but I got lost and

then I had to walk all the way back

again and now I'm so tired I couldn't

possibly take another step oh well in

that case don't worry just hop on my

back and I'll carry

you Connie thought it was the funniest

thing she'd ever seen and followed along

behind them meanwhile all the animals

were waiting under Henry's tree to see

who would win the

race hello there everyone Dodger ran out

of energy on the way and snooze helped

him to get the finish line but if they

both got here at the same time then who

was the winner of the race I say Dodger

because Connie helped me cross the river

and that wasn't really fair well I say

that snooze should be the winner because

I tried to take a short cut and that

definitely wasn't fair was

it snooze and Dodger had been very

honest so Henry the owl said they were

both winners

race had been it doesn't matter who wins

or loses the important thing is to play
