strength the sun had risen over the

countryside and everybody was outside

enjoying the beautiful

day but what was Connie doing carrying a

stone in her mouth huh there Connie was

helping her friend Sam the rabbit to

build a place to live

so what do you think about your new

it and don't come into my house ever

again but that little house is mine

Connie has just finished building it for

me nonsense you don't expect me to

believe that do you con isn't strong

enough to carry all these big heavy

Stones that's that's not true I did

carry all those stones and I bet I'm

stronger than you I challenge you to a

trial of strength we'll see who can

carry the most stones to the other side

of the river Okay I

accept everyone came from all over the

woods to see the trial of

strength who would carry more stones and

win the

contest right I've decided to carry the

Stones two at a

strong I can put all the stones in the

sack and carry them in one

go all right let the contest

begin I'm much stronger than Connie

Watch How I lift up my

sack Dodger you'll get very tired

carrying such a heavy sck you'll be worn

out before you reach the River Bank I

won't get worn out I'm going to

win Connie went as fast as she could

until she reached the river she hopped

in and swam across and she took the

first two stones out of her sack

oh they were ever so heavy well I

suppose I'd better hurry back and

collect two

me on the way back Connie met

Dodger

oh well now Connie you better better get

a move on you've still got lots of

stones to pick up meanwhile I've got all

my Stones right here on my back I'm sure

to win don't speak too soon Dodger you

still have to get to the river and then

you'll have to get

across you don't realize how strong I am

you watch how fast I can

go Connie was very impressed Dodger

seemed very strong but she thought that

if she hurried up she could still

win eventually Dodger came to the river

all he had to do was get across and he'd

have won the

contest and while Connie brought her

second load of stones Dodger was already

crossing the

river she's got four Stones she needs a

lot more she won't have time to fetch

them so I'll be the champion

Dodger kept swimming now he was sure he

was going to win but when he stepped out

of the water he got a big surprise this

sack's much too

heavy I can't carry this sack another

step it weighs at least a ton Connie and

Belinda looked on in amazement it seemed

that Dodger's strength had disappeared

Dodger was so tired he he flopped to the

ground and something that looked like a

stone fell out of his sack wait a minute

what's that that doesn't look much like

a stone to

[Music]

me he wasn't carrying Stones either

sponges it was a trick no wonder he

could carry a whole S without getting

tired I don't understand if they were

light before why are they so heavy now

it's very simple Dre when he crossed the

river the sponges soaked up lots of

water and now they're as heavy as if

they were Stones oh dear poor old doger

he thought he was so clever and then it

all went

wrong when he realized he'd been found

out Dodger felt very ashamed and he

admitted that Connie was Stronger

Connie had won the contest now nobody

could doubt that she was the one who had

built Sam's little house I'm truly sorry

for telling a fib Sam it's your house

really not mine and I'm sorry for trying

to cheat in the contest it's just I like

your new house so much it's so pretty oh

don't worry Dodger there's plenty of

room if you want we could both live here

together oh yes thank you Sam this is

great I'm going to live in the pretty

Little House in the whole world

everybody was very happy to see that

things had worked out for the best and

that night Connie thought how silly it

was to tell fibs and cheat if you treat

people nicely things go much better
