present it was a beautiful spring

morning connie set out to meet up with

her friend Patch

i'm going to play in the woods Mom and

Dad bye-bye Connie make sure you don't

stay up too late

when Connie got to the woods she looked

out for Catch

catch where are you going i'm over here

over here i'm sorry Conor i didn't

notice you there i'm in a rush because

I'm late you're in a rush oh what's the

hurry well today is Patty's birthday and

I have to find him a present i want it

to be something special that you like

very much i'll help you look Patch if we

look together I'm sure we'll find one

hooray thank you Connie we'll find Patty

as Connie and Patch set out to look for

a present Paddyy was playing with the

ball that his mommy and daddy had given

him for his birthday

bernie I wonder where Patch is have you

seen him today i haven't seen him now

but I'm sure he'll be here soon he won't

want to miss your birthday party

so Paddyy played with his board and

waited for Patch to arrive

look Patch there's Paddyy and we still

haven't found him a present have you had

any ideas yet about what to give him i'm

not sure really but I think Paddyy would

like something he can play with oh then

you should give him a toy and you could

make him one yourself

oh good Belinda but what can we make the

toy out of you can make it from leaves

and bends and other things you can find

in the woods belinda's right we can make

the birthday present ourselves yes i bet

we'll have lots of fun too let's get

started straight away

hatch and Connie were soon busy

collecting all the things they needed to

make toys for

Paddyy the two friends were very pleased

with the first toy they made it was a

little rabbit

the second toy they made was a little

bird hello there pouch hello Connie i'm

coming to play

what are you two doing it looks like fun

it's Patty's birthday Wally and we're

making some toys to give him as presents

we've already made him a rabbit and now

we're making him a little bird it's very

good but don't you think it needs a pair

of wings

wally was very helpful he took two of

his feathers and fixed them to the bird

friend with Wally's help Patch and

Connie started to make the last toy m

that was delicious and you can use the

rind to make a toy now oh what a good

idea thank you Wally

patch had a look at the empty rind but

he wasn't sure what it was for i know we

could make it into a hat what do you

think E you could make it into a hat

Patch but it would make a great sailing

boat a sailing

boat that's even better let's go and

find some sails

the boat needed some

sails but what could they make them

from of course leaves make wonderful

sails

i think the toys we made are great this

patch Patty will be ever so happy

connie was right paddyy was delighted

with his special birthday toys

they're wonderful presents Patch

well you see I didn't make them all on

my own luckily Connie and Wally were

there to help me oh that's

amazing

oh I wish that I had a boat like that

one it would be fantastic i could use it

to sail across the river whenever I

needed to paddyy was a kind piglet he

really liked his boat but he knew that

ants can't swim so he thought it might

be of more use to Tom connie can you

help me blow some wind into the sails

the little boat floated up to where Tom

was standing on the bank patty told him

to hop on board

this boat's very well made who does it

belong to it's Patty's birthday present

well if you don't mind Patty I want to

give it to Tom i've got lots of toys and

Tom can use the boat to cross the river

without getting wet patty that's very

kind of you i'm going to try out my new

[Music]

boat everybody was very proud of Paddyy

and they all agreed that he'd been very

kind that night Connie thought how nice

it is to get presents but it's even

better to give them to someone who needs

them more sweet dreams Connie
