oh so after my vacation at the beach I came back rested and refreshed the sound

of the Waves crashing on the shore was so relaxing that's the only kind of

I want to go to the beach um son the nearest beach is a long way away that's

wait for you here guess what you got a brand new neon green Turbo Tire Jack with your name painted on it you just

had your front loader oiled oh wait that's us hi came to tell you I'm going to

throw the coolest most awesome beach party ever excellente we haven't had a

beach party here since well ever does it matter that the closest beach is like a

kajillion miles away we're going to make our own Beach that way not only do we

get the fun of playing on it we get the fun of building it and I know just where to do

it can't you just see the beach now is it behind the dirt track no soku it's

right here don't you love these sandunes oh I get it

amazing right here totally oh and a surfboard shop

over here yeah in castles and a volleyball

court I don't know Chuck talking about turning a dirt track into a beach is fun

but doing it for real is going to be a lot of work then it's a good thing work is something we love bumpers up friends

build this stuff's going to be great I can already see soku's palm trees and

diger surfboard s sailboats and fireworks and even

seaweed okay forget the

sure if you don't mind it just lying on the ground in a pile H that is a problem

but maybe if we use something different for the trunk we can make the palm tree stand up by itself like maybe this

we can at least put our heads together and try to think of a way to make this work instead of giving up so easily

it a sculpture huh it's just a stack of tires Dalia that's the way you're

looking at it but the way I see it it's

art what is art anyway that's hard to explain Chuck but art is about creating

something about yourself or the way you feel that can also make the person looking at it think about or feel

something hi Dalia so Chuck an artist uses objects colors words and other

things in any bunch of different ways almost anything can be art you just have to take the time to look at it and think

about it in a different way than you might normally that's right so Dalia are

you on your way somewhere for a big gardening project yes but I thought I'd stop here and drop something off for you

field remember art says something by whoever made it or to whoever's looking

at it I think the colors are very relaxing what does the painting say to you or make you

feel kind of like a I want to be outside I wonder what else is in that

field with that truck good and it doesn't have to be a painting you can

make a sculpture or a song or even a collage collage that's when you paste a

group together a bunch of things you like or that you feel say something about what you want to say but like we

said you can make just about anything into art mom have I been making art all

along without trying and I didn't even know it if whoever's looking at what you've

made looks at it like a piece of art then maybe

me wow you guys have really made some amazing art these are

fantastic Mom what are you talking about we totally blew it I think you might be

surprised come up here and take a look look

all I see are four big messes okay but stop trying to see what you wanted to

make first see how the metal beams make frames for your things like paintings

okay but what's in those frames isn't at all what we tried to make when we started maybe they're even better

because they say something about each of you what do you mean handy what do you love doing more than anything working

with your tools right yeah well that interesting shape you used your tools to

carve tells me how much you like your work and with the Angles and curves it looks like a star the Sun and the Moon

combined and that makes me think about how you're always ready to work day or night wow I wasn't trying to carve

anything just make something to paint on Boomer what were you trying to make a

collage but it's no good cuz it isn't about anything well why did you choose

these things to put together because they're all things I like a lot then that's what your collage is about

it tells us what you like did you hear that I made a collage about me what

about me that's easy Rowdy you painted a picture about yourself didn't you how

did you know it doesn't look anything like me if there's one thing you love it's getting all dirty and messy and

while that painting may not look like you it certainly got a lot of you in it

yeah and I've got a lot of it on me too what about me Mom I wanted to make a

sculpture of a racing truck you did more than that honey bumper I did those pipes

and gter look like a racetrack to me and the barrels are the finish line and you

can imagine that tire being a racing truck speeding around the track wow I

guess we were trying too hard we made some neat art that said what we wanted and even more but Mom we didn't make

anything you could put in the repair center I don't know about that I brought

a camera out here with me and I thought I might hang photos of your art really

but only if the artists will pose with their work power and pickup boy will we

is Treadwell's didn't you see the sign actually I didn't my name is Sam steering and I'm what they call visually

impaired visually impaired yeah some people call it being blind but however

you say and in my case it means that I can't see how do you get around oh I've got good old sidecar here to help me

find my way if I'm going to drive into something sidecar lets me [Music]

place here he comes right now hi there oh tell him to watch out he could

slip dad watch out good thing you saw that oil slick Chuck

oil wow I didn't even notice the smell I've gotten really good at using the

senses I do have senses our senses are how we understand what's around us Chuck

by seeing hearing smelling touching and and even tasting so instead of seeing

you can hear or smell or touch to do things can you do everything that other

trucks and cars can do almost it's a little more challenging for me sometimes but I've got sidecar here to help and I

like challenges in fact old sidecar and I trekked across the radiator desert last year

whoa with all this sanding around the desert I can't even see a few feet in

front of me I hope I'm going the right way to get across it there's a

sign what huh

hey that doesn't help very much I don't know if I could do what you

do Sam if you can cross the desert without seeing you can do just about anything I never think of being visually

impaired as a problem if I put my mind to it I can do anything and so can you

[Music] sidecar it looks like a real town this is going to be the greatest model

racetrack ever the car will go through this tunnel

and Ro over that bridge we even have a little garage for the car to stop in when he needs an oil change I can't wait

till zoku gets here so we can lay out the tracks and watch the model car run through it hey guys I brought the rest of our

stuff and I even found some new things to add to our

track huh I thought I put them here maybe here uh-oh I think I lost them

well what's missing soku I had some broken shock absorbers that look just like trees and the box of tracks for the

road and an excellent model car that even made a cool beeping sound

we should do what my mom always says go back and retrace your tire tracks where

were you today the first place I went this morning was the parts yard then that's where we

start found the broken shock absorbers in that garbage bin and then I drove

over here I stopped to look for some cool stuff in a pile of Parts there's no

pile here so cool not anymore see I put down the broken shock absorbers and dug through the pile I guess I forgot to

clean up when I was done that means that the broken shock absorbers are somewhere beneath this mess let's

[Music]

look we just can't see the shock absorbers through all this clutter can't see them H but maybe we don't need to

see them to find them power and pick them I've got an idea my friend Sam steering is visually

impaired he can't see but he still does lots of things by using other senses

like smelling huh how are we going to smell shock absorbers Soo said that he found the

shock absorbers in the trash trash usually has a pretty strong

smell yeah those broken shocks did smell pretty awful hey maybe that can help us

yes we found our model trees and we did it without using our eyes souu where did

you go next hm okay from here I stopped by your mom's repair

shop I had the tracks with me when I ran into your mom I remember cuz she asked me to help remove some cushions from

that storage shed over there I bet you left the tracks inside the shed I bet you're

right uhoh the lights are out I can't see

anything let's see is this it no this

nope how about this no this isn't working souu maybe we can

use another sense to help us find it they do have a shape that we would recom eyes if we touch them that's a great

idea let's use our sense of touch come

on I feel something round but the tracks aren't so that's not it I'm touching

something that's pretty bumpy but I know that the tracks are smooth guys I feel

something kind of long and flat and there's a lot of them all together that

could be them the RAC tracks are long and flat

yes we found them now there's only one more thing missing the model car I think

I know where I left it the diner I was showing it to gter he liked

the beeping sound that the horn makes every few

seconds anybody see it NOP not me well we know we don't have

to see things to find them this time we can use our hearing if we listen for the

sound of the beeping car we should be able to find it I hear engine

sounds and talking squeaky breakes what are you kids looking

forg we're looking for our model car it makes a beeping sound every few seconds

but it's too loud to hear it in you folks may I have your attention please I

wonder if you could give us all a few moments of Silence these kids are listening for a toy car and they could

use our help thanks Dad

did you hear that it came from that way sounds like it's coming

have known the model cars horn sound was different not like tooting more high

pitched sort of like yeah like that it's coming from inside mom's

that wind all around the dirt track I can hear the beeping model car going back and forth yeah we couldn't find

some of the racetrack Parts at first but we used our other senses to find them just like you you kids did a great job I

especially like the red color of the model car yeah wait what sense did you

use to figure out the color my sense of hearing your mom told me it was

red and you over

ideas in my day we were happy if we just had an old inner t to play

trailer he has his own toy company and he invents all the toys himself whoa you

invent toys how well I think up things that kids might like to do then I write

down my thoughts and go into my laboratory wow

I guarantee it'll bust your boredom or my name is in Games trailer all right

can't wait let's do it turn turn watch out go go go in my

day we didn't need video games we could make a game out of two spark plugs and a

fender go soku you're about to make it through level three oh no what happened I dad the game

broke down just as we were about to finish it can you call Games trailer and tell him maybe he can come and fix it

Chuck his delivery is miles away from here he won't be back this way for hours

sorry guys then we're back to being bored

uh-oh not again too bad it was so much fun swerving around obstacles and

speeding along the roads in my day that was called driving and we didn't need

video games to do it power and Pickups Elmer's right we can't play Road ruus on

TV so how about if we play it in real life instead come on that was a smart idea Elmer in my day

we called it genius how can we play a video game outside Chuck it's impossible hey

remember what my older brother rally the world's famous racing truck always says over around and through trucks go and

see and do so what are we going to do amigo I'll show you in the game level

one is called freeway frus you drive along the road and try to pick up as

many coins as you can well here's a road okay but we don't have any coin coins H

so what could we use instead of coins we need something round and

metal I know like this hop caps great idea

handy but in the video game you drive through the coins and they automatically get counted how can we do that part well

we know how to count right we'll just collect them into my dumped and count them ourselves

[Music] it might just work there are 20 coins in

the game we can find more hump caps in the parts yard let's get

them 18 19 20 we did it we collected all the

hub caps If This Were the video game we'd move on to the next level let's go to the dirt track that's the perfect

place for level too

level two the swamp Okay Digger you're playing this level the goal is to make

your way around the track and avoid the moving swamp monsters

Road Ruckus huh hand's right you can't jump in the game you can only drive but

out here we can do more than just drive power in pickup think how great the game

would be if we could jump climb and Dodge just like in real [Music]

even better than the real world Ruckus and we finished level two guys now it's on to level

three it looks just like level three in Road Rus the maze keep going handy

you're playing this level for us get to the end and we'll finally win the game uh guys I think we forgot one

important thing what do you mean we have an entrance to the Maze and a twisty

middle section what did we forget an exit I can't get out any other way than

going back to the entrance oops that's okay we'll blast a hole in the side see or I can dig a

tunnel underneath the wall or we don't add an exit huh the game would be cooler

if you collected spare parts along the way then use those parts to build something something that could help you

get out of the maze like like a catapult that's a machine that can throw things really far if we build a catapult you

can fling yourself out of the maze to win the game sounds like

fun let's do

finally completed Road Ruckus hold on a second fellas that game was not Road

just a small part of what police officers do son but I do remember one time when I caught sight of a really

guy you little guys are real cute now be careful out there little guys cute we're

not cute and we're not that little are we know what I think we need to do more

grownup stuff no more kids stuff nobody tells us what to do Chuck time to

come home coming mom wait we never got to find out if the getaway cars make it

to the county line we'll finish the game tomorrow first thing got to [Music]

go rally you're home surprise I got the whole week off and I figured why not

spend it with my best pal chuck oh wow a whole week this is going to be great you

bet I thought it would be fun to hang hang out with you and your buddies what kind of stuff have you little guys been up to lately little guys yeah still

playing police cars and getaway cars that kitty game no way I've grown up a

lot since you last saw me rally oh hey I didn't mean to insult you you do look

bigger I am and I serious grown up things with my friends now like racing

competitions like you have not just for fun yeah we race all day

long and then before the sun goes down we race again well that sounds perfect I

can't wait to race with all you guys come on champ let's get you to the shop

for a tuna Chuck why didn't you tell rally about all the fun games you and your

friends play dad rally won't be interested in those games they're to

Kitty there you are Sheriff Chuck it's time to capture these bad guys we can't

Boomer R's coming to hang out with us today he's here cool to play with us

yeah but there's no way he's going to want to play this Kitty stuff he only does grownup stuff like racing so we

can't let him see any kidish toys like this or this hey

guys rally we were just getting ready to race in fact would you start us off

sure okay guys on your marks get set [Music]

go and then R showed us how to use the bank of the track on the

turn and then we were all passing each other on the straightaways

V it sure was fun so what should we do tomorrow Chuck oh I have an idea for you

Chuck how about you show rally that video game you guys like to play mom we're not kids anymore we don't play

with games and toys you don't no way besides we have more serious racing to

do tomorrow I like playing that video

game gotcha you're it darn but you're not the only one with a gadget that can

stretch are you guys playing bumper tag uh uh bumper tag us we're way too big to

play bumper tag whatever that is sounds like a game for cute little trucks which

we're not yeah they were just warming up for racing right guys yeah uh-huh that's

it right well that's enough warming up let's roll

go racing again this is the fifth day in a row I'm getting kind of tired of it me

too Hey look it's our x-ray glasses and the fuzzy dice they must have landed

here when Chuck tossed them away way guys why' you stop we were just

remembering all the fun we had with these toys yeah playing wheel heroes or

tossing those dice around remember that one time hey guys what are you doing uh

nothing some little kid must have left his toys on the track can you believe

this there now we can get on with the very grown-up not at all kid-like racing

we've been [Music] doing wo what an awesome race thanks

guys you've been keeping me in such great shape yeah sure thing okay rally H

you guys seem pretty tired we should go home and get some rest see you tomorrow all right uh be right there rally guys

if you keep moping around like this Rally's going to think we're not serious about racing like grown-ups are I don't

I don't know Chuck maybe we're not totally grownup grown-ups yet yeah if

being grown up means we can't play anymore I'm not sure that I'm ready

yet I wish we could just play one last time but if rally sees us wait a second

power and Pickups I've got it everybody get here really early tomorrow I'll

sneak up before rally wakes up and then we can finish our last game of police cars and getaway cars cool you won't be

able to catch us before we cross the county line we'll see about that right Chuck yeah don't forget guys

early this morning Mom sh I uh don't want to wake up rally why not well the

truth is I got up early to play one last game of police cars and getaway cars but

I don't want rally to know I still like to play things like that but Chuck everybody loves to play sometimes your

father and I play board games after you go to bed and sometimes hey I like to

race around the repair shop to get out my

energy I don't know Mom I'm afraid that if rally knew we were playing kids stuff

he wouldn't want to hang out with us so would you please not tell him where I'm going I promise I won't tell him thanks

Yeehaw we got you getaway cars not quite Partners you may have blocked off the

county line but I reckon you still have to catch us come on we've got to hurry and catch

them before rally get

[Applause] here aha gotcha huh I think I spotted them

Sheriff Chuck they went that way rally you're you're playing police cars and

getaway cars of course listen Chuck I heard you talking to Mom this morning and she's right everybody likes to play

I mean racing is fun but I like to have fun doing other things too like playing games

isn't playing games kind of kid stuff kid stuff no way sometimes I play bumper

Blitz with the other guys in between races and sometimes when I'm on the road going from one race to another I pretend

I'm an Explorer on a trail in the jungle we play that kind of stuff too and you

should just because you get older doesn't mean you don't still have fun like when you were a kid so what do you

say Sheriff Chuck will you let me be your Deputy come on guys they're getting away let's go get him
