sailor bill myself he thanked me nonetheless and asked that if I saw me

before he did - please tell him sailor bill was looking for taylor bill i take

it as one of the two men who went overboard that's right Julian it's his medal we're looking for and there's something of

value that he left with Chung Lee the sail maker was naturally the medallion of course but how will we find this man

Charlie he probably died long ago well maybe so but sail making is a fine craft

passed on from father to child it just still might be eternally the sail maker in Chinatown looks like that's our next

move Julien looks like it Cynthia try to town here we come [Music]

boy are we in trouble talk about a needle in a haystack now what uh excuse me

we're looking for the family of a sailmaker named Charlie who lived here 65 years ago stairmaker 65 years ago

Ricardo Ortiz a professional fireman firefighting is very dangerous work and

it takes a lot of teamwork and precise judgment let's take a look at it

every morning at 8 o'clock we perform our physical fitness exercise it's

important that we keep our bodies in top physical shape and condition due to our dangerous occupational stress there in

firefighting operations the dinner-hour is a comradeship friendship while

reading we discussed various subjects among one another one of the important facts and firefighters is teamwork we

laugh together we live together and we have a lot of fun

and we see with a fire line we respond to a call it's going through my mind is

the safety and rescue of people that might be involved in this emergency or the fire and also the safety of your

subordinates members under your command don't get anyone hurt and don't get one any k*lled this is fire station 49 which

is located in Los Angeles City Harbor is unique from the standpoint that it is a station core during the fire boat and a

fire engine company when the fire boat receives a fire alarm Fela stop whatever

they're doing and it takes it on prospering less than 90 seconds to fire

up the engines put on their safety equipment untie the boat and get underway out the full house

one of the unique advantages of a fireboard is the fact that the fireball from coming alongside a ship that's in

pinch of salt haven't you we're gonna do a dash of salt just a little bit that's enough and I'm going to get the pie

crust okay now this is a store-bought pride class okay you want to pour it in

yeah do you want to put some whole pecans on top it's really quite handy

it's - candy okay I'm gonna put enough

that's the only thing you have to be careful is the heart of it should be at 350 now we want to whip up the cream

northeastern United States you wander

central trail that we're walking at one serves as a vast highway that connects

the Six Nations which are called by our people Iroquois Confederacy the

Confederacy is made up of the Seneca Cayuga Onondaga Oneida Mohawk and

Tuscarora nations crossing this trail are many crossroads that connect

throughout the entire region all this belongs to the airport yes and our

trails reached to the North Woods to the eastern ocean with the warm

southern lands and to the big river to the west

what year is this we don't count yes we count the changing of the seasons but I

am so old I have stopped counting seasons [Music]

I have walked this path for many years of my life but this tree is an old

friend you call tree friends this because it is a special tree it may look

tree it reminds me of the tree of peace a symbol of the Iroquois Confederacy

a long time ago [Music] the Iroquois were separated into many

tribal groups warring amongst themselves then two wise men Kate called the vana

Veda and Hiawatha he called a meeting formed them into a league in order to

keep peace and order and to remind them of this union he planted a tree with

four roots branching north south east and west

so that the Iroquois people like the tree became one large Brotherhood how

large is this Brotherhood at one time there were as many as 25,000 people come

as one family we spiritually dwell in a long post and still alive people yes

that we have a systemized form of government with 50 liters we called Roy

the women of the clan men and women have equal roles in our government and women

have you ever wondered why some people think newborn babies are funny-looking

and others think they're beautiful what about a painting or sculpture maybe

you saw something beautiful but all your friend could see was a piece of junk or

what about the first time you saw someone who looked very different from what you're used to what did you think

well if any of this sounds familiar and you'll run into a question that people

have been asking for a long time

what is beauty now most people would

agree that roses are beautiful but what if they were the only kind of flowers it

might be rather boring so it is with

humans without the incredible variety of people in the world without the differences in hair and eyes in dress

and decoration we wouldn't have so many fascinating ideas about what is

beautiful [Music]

beauty can be expressed in the choice of clothes in a special hairstyle in

jewelry and decorations and it could

also be expressed with a smile because all the most wonderful clothing hair and

decorations can only make someone beautiful if they feel it inside

when you look for that kind of beauty the inside kind there is no limit to

where you can find it perhaps that's the

real magic of beauty it's always new and fresh because it comes from our own

feelings and emotions mixed with what we hear and see and touch the real magic is

when we each find our own sense of beauty [Music]

[Music] today hi my name is Kurt Brooks and I'm

8 years old and I live in New York City since I was about four years old I

started to dance and drum with the Mareeba children's dance company after Rama's

finish warming up we practiced for the advanced ethnic class where the dancers

are from 6 to 16 in my practice sessions

we get a chance to play rhythms for many different countries this is the BA kua

it's one of my favorite instruments this is a spiritual dance from the island of

Jamaica and it's called Paco mania this

big frightening dance is done on the island of Trinidad the teaches the

lesson that the biggest man is not always been mad the ballet dance is from

the island of Trinidad and Martinique performances are super exciting because

there is no more stop let's try it again or second chances
