hi everybody welcome to another exciting

day in pappyland hello Lily are you

thirsty thank you hiya Pat hiya Mickey

how are you today

hiya grandpappy hello Sonny hey Sonny

don't you know what time it is

yes it's whoa after - time for today's

pappyland adventure to begin now how

should we get started

hmm let's see there's the happy Pat

Express the wishing wheel look Happy's

go a much more door great

come on boys and girls let's go right

through this door every time I counted

right man

[Music]

kids it's Big E like that I came all the

way from the cabin we love coming

through the brush lands right boys and

girls Oh glad you're back inflation's -

we can't wait to get started on our

pictures what about you binky will you

join us oh yes of course

you wouldn't you rather ask one of the

bigger brushes you know the ones that

are brushed up by their blue team why

don't I laughs why binky

just because you're a little it doesn't

mean you can't make a nice picture

I couldn't happen take a picture as good

as yours Pappy why sure you could all

you need is a little purple it's a what

a what yes

confidence is a feeling you get when you

know you can do something yeah yeah and

sometimes if you have confidence you can

find out you can do things you never

thought you could do that's because

you're willing to try a little paint

brush like me and a lot of companies

like you Pappy it's easy you can start

right now would you like to try to make

a picture with us sure I think I gave

you now that's what I call confidence

pretty good you're giving me an idea for

a drawing binky I have me feel even more

confident does everyone have a pencil or

a marker or even a paintbrush if you

want great let's get started all righty

I'm going to start right here let's draw

a small curved line like that and let's

bring some lines upward and back down

bring it up and around to a point back

down

up to a point back down and a small

little point can connected now let's

continue and we'll start with a straight

line right there in another one and

let's connect it with a curved line

alright let's do another curved line

below that mmm starting to look familiar

alright let's draw the bottom portion

starting right here let's bring a curved

line all right let's draw two little

eyes and that's one oval right there and

another oval next to it and let's put a

little small circle within those circles

another one right there

those rich eyes alrighty let's draw

small nose

alright let's put a happy smile on my

little friend here and a small little

line right below his mouth now it'll be

here to the right side I'm going to draw

a pink bucket and I'll start by drawing

the top part of the bucket which is a

long oval which looks like a flat circle

doesn't it alrighty now it's great line

and another one there and let's begin by

doing this side first and the other side

and the curved line to connect there we

go just like so right here bring it over

and connect them

good now I'm going to draw a small

circle right here and the handle to the

buckets gonna connect right to that

circle like that

and let's do that now here we go up to

the circle and stop there we go now

let's show that there's paint inside the

bucket so I'm going to draw a curved

line starting right here and bring it

around see that it's a curved line here

we go all righty let's show that there's

tape and there's also paint dripping so

let's indicate some curved lines right

on the edge of the bucket the shoulder

some pink its drip down

and continue this one right up here I'll

bet a lot of you have already guessed

through my little friend is that's our

joy of a paintbrush don't really know

him he looks very familiar

as a matter of fact he's closer to you

than you might think it's you binky wow

we got sweet I was out to paint a

picture of one of my friends remember

what we said about confidence oh yeah I

meant I will paint a picture of my flag

what's this boys and girls it's been

such a beautiful day here in the brush

lands thanks to you binky I can't do it

from now on

Oh at least if things a try that's the

best anyone can do now I need to get the

children back to the cabin do you have

to brush away so quickly I'm afraid so

or we still have to call our pictures

but we'll see you soon you could be

confident about that bye bye Pappy

another great adventure okay boys and

girls get your crayons here markers

ready because we're about to color okay

let's begin by coloring the top portion

of Mickey's hair and I'm going to use

yellow watch what Pappy does after he

colors in this area with yellow watch

what I do

there we go fill that right in and now

I'm going to take my red grand

[Music]

you see that and I'm going to color on

top of the yellow and you know what

color a yellow and red make orange you

see that red and yellow make orange look

at that and I'm going to

a little spot I'm not gonna use my red

grand and call it the whole thing and

I'm leaving an area right in the center

there just to give it some shine you see

that now with my brown crayon I am going

in and indicate very boldly some Brown

lines just like that just show some

individual hairs and bristles in there

you see that and I'm bearing down very

hard I'm pressing down on my cran and

that makes it a lot darker you see that

see how dark that looks now on the edges

very good see that highlight alrighty

now I'm going to shade in right below

whose hair with this great cran in a

shaded area there you see that see where

I'm starting I'm not starting all the

way over to the edge

I started inward a little bit and again

that creates a nice little highlighter a

shine and we'll do the same on the other

side notice I didn't go all the way to

the edge you see that and ducking that

up there

now I'm going to go over that color with

a another bluish gray cran that just

helps to brighten up that gray color now

let's call her binky and I'm going to

use my purple crayon and indicate a

circle right here you see that and

another one right there

now I'm going to fill in the whole area

but Pappy will not color in those two

circles you see that now I know where my

highlights are going to be and I'll

leave those areas white

[Music]

and remember a highlight is this shiny

portion of an object it's where the

light hits that object and leaves a nice

bright spot

and continue

[Music]

with a very bright purple color

[Music]

yep that's pinky's color all right

purple very nice and just continue and

I'm going to press down hard on my

purple friend to indicate some cheeks on

on pinkies face there we go and I'm

going to darken in this area just to

help give it some shape like so very

nice

[Music]

I think think he's going to like this

who knows I might even give it to binky

when I'm done all right now I'm going to

show some color around the eyes now I'm

going to use my blue crayon to shade in

the paint can I'm going to leave a

highlight in the center by darkening up

both edges but leaving that center area

white just like so and now I'll go to

the other side notice I'm leaving that

center area white very nice and that

helps make the pale look like it's shiny

now let's darken up those edges with my

great-grand and i'm going to color right

over that blue crayon you see that gives

it that round shape alrighty let's do

the inside of the bucket and

you know again leave that highlight and

again take the gray cran

[Music]

mr. darken up those edges

[Music]

just like that

all righty now I'm going to use my red

crayon to show that there's pink inside

that paint bucket all righty

just start filling that right in and

again we're gonna leave a white space

and that helps to show that the paint is

shiny and wet and another little

highlight there

and another one there and at any one

right there and then continue filling it

in there now I'm going to indicate some

shadow right below binky and my gray

cran is a perfect choice for that

very nice and softly I'll do the edges

just like that

notice the buckets on the ground and but

pinkies floating above so we put the

shadow right below him and we're going

to put the shadow right next to the edge

of the bucket because it is on the

ground I'd like to see binky floating

it's a cartoon

very nice

there I'm done now let's see your

drawings Wow

excellent they all should be in the

hollow frames

speaking of the Hall of frames let's go

there now

excellent you can see why the Hall of

frames is one of my favorite places we

have pictures from all over and they

remind me that pappy has friends just

about everywhere and when you add your

own ideas to the drawings that makes

them extra special remember each of you

has your own artistic style

[Music]

you can create your own pictures all you

need is some crayons and paper and

you'll see when you start on your

pictures that the magic within you

starts growing and the colors and shapes

that surround you all begin to appear on

the paper

I can try so can you and it's easy and

so so much fun and your world is filled

with color and you've made it all on

your own who watch me try let me see

there's a house and a tree and a car

that's not all I can see you can draw

wherever you are

when you've created your pictures you

can show them all to your friends and

the pictures you like best of all they

can hang them up on the wall

and the colors and shapes that surround

you I'll begin to bright your word

I can drive so can you and it's easy and

so so much fun and your world is filled

with color and you made it all on her

own watch me drive let me see

there's a house and a tree and a car

that's not all I can see you can draw

wherever you are

and you can draw whoever you are

art tip here's a special art tip just

for you

circles can be tough to draw here's an

easy way to draw one first move York ran

around and around like this don't try it

on anything yet just keep making a

smooth circular motion when you think

you've got the motion just lower your

train onto the drawing paper and draw

your circle Wow a circle now don't worry

if it doesn't look like mine but just do

the best you can and keep practicing

it'll get easier and easier oh my it's

quarter to orange already time for me to

leave

when you learn them well misson it's

imagination to turn it into whatever you

it's a little different usually I ask

you to turn your Donal line into a

picture no one else would but this time

oh and then make as many different

things out of this as you can
