Sunny hey Sunny don't you know what time

it is

it's time for the girls and boys to get

their pencils crayons and markers and

get ready to do some super coloring and

drawing it's so good to see you all

again hello Henry and hello Jonah Gwen

and Celeste and welcome Jerome and Kate

welcome to you too can we see some of

the drawings today Py sure

we'll see some of the pictures the

children have sent in when we visit the

Hall of Fames a little later on that's

one of the things I like to do best do

you know what I like to do best Pap uh

tell silly jokes this is serious Papy i

like to listen to the radio with my

friends the cows you do Elmer uh what do

you listen to music

get it me and the cows listen to music

gotcha Pap i should have known but you

know we will be hearing some music a

little later on elmer can we do some

singing and dancing too sure i'd better

get practicing

Elmer we better let Elmer keep

practicing and while he's doing that why

don't we find out how we'll get inspired

today

h it could be the Papy Scope uh or the

Papy Pad Express or the Wishing Wheel or

the Much More Door h which one will it

Mailbird here a special delivery for

Turtleoo that's odd i just had a package

for Turtleoo but I can't seem to find it

now now where could that package be

sorry Turtleoo i guess I lost your

package

should we tell him where the package

landed boys and girls let's see if we

can help Mailbird figure out this one

for himself

ah that's a nice brown hat you're

wearing today Mailbird

well thanks Peppy i'm glad you let But

I'm not wearing a brown hat today

hey that's Turtleoo's package i knew I

would find it i haven't lost a package

yet uh for very long that is here you

are Turtleoo it's from Buddy Bear and it

says Juan Nepo juan Napo Mailbird you're

looking at that upside down here

it says open now oh I knew that it says

open now so Turtleoo you'd better warn

Nepo i mean you'd better open it now

it appears to me that Turtleoo isn't

listening very well today maybe a song

would get his attention do you have time

for a song Mailbird sure i'm way ahead

of schedule if I had a schedule

will you help me sing a song girls and

boys good oh sing a song i hear you

talking Papy you have a song about

listening up i sure do

you can't hear what they're saying when

you're talking too much if you talk out

of turn you're bound to lose touch so

focus your eyes open up your ears take

my advice and I'll make it clear you got

to listen

listen up you got to listen

listen up go stamp your feet or move

around in your seat do what is right let

the other one speak now talking out of

turn is no excuse pay close attention

and put it to use it's important to me

it's important to you you'll be able to

learn it's the right thing to do you've

got to listen

listen up you've got to focus

focus your eyes you got to open

open your ears hold on to these rules

and they'll last you for years hold on

to these rules and they'll last you for

years

thanks sing a song wasn't that fun

i just love the way you dance in your

own special way and people tell me Py

has his own way of dancing too that was

labella music to my ears the language of

the heart aren't you glad you put on

your listening ears Turtle yes otherwise

I would have missed it there are many

ways to know if someone is listening to

you and they might look you in the eye

or or nod or shake their head they might

answer questions or add their own ideas

to the conversation a a good listener is

What is a good listener a good listener

is someone who doesn't interrupt

mailbird oops sorry Py uh that's okay

Mailbird i'll really try to listen while

you draw a picture poppy good idea

Turtle listening to me talk about my

drawing will be good practice

i know that you're all very good

listeners i can tell because you listen

when we talk about drawing and you

remember how Py likes it when you add

your own ideas to your pictures so let's

get started

all right Papy's going to draw a clown

and I'm going to start by drawing a

circle

and I'm going to start right here

and notice Papy is going in a circular

motion just like this but he's not

drawing yet he's going round and round

until he feels comfortable and when I

feel I've got a pretty good circle I'm

going to get ready to do it i'm going to

lower my marker down i feel like I'm

almost ready here we go wow

good now I'm going to draw another

circle right in the middle of this

circle

two circles

now starting right here this will be the

mouth

for our clown and we're going to put two

little curved lines one two on the end

of this long curved line so we have one

long curved line and then two little

ones

all right let's put one dot right here

and another dot there and that shows two

eyes that's our clown's face

now let's put a clown's hat

and we'll put one line there

and another line there it looks like the

letter A doesn't it

h now on the top of the hat let's put

some fluffy

curved lines i call them fluffy because

when I put these small curved lines

together like that it makes it look

fluffy

all right and we'll put one ear here and

another ear right there on the other

side now let's do the same thing we'll

put some small curved lines together for

his hair he's got curly fluffy hair like

that

all righty now I'm going to draw his arm

so starting right here we'll put a

curved line

and

a curved line right there and we'll

bring this around just like we did on

his hair and the top of his hat and

we'll do the same thing here put a

curved line right there and a curve line

together a bunch of them together like

that let's connect it here and on the

other side do the same thing now we're

going to show his He's wearing mittens

so we'll put a curved line stop and

bring it around

a curve line stop and bring it around

now we're going to draw his arm and

we'll bring this line here and stop

that's one arm we'll bring this over and

stop that's the other arm now get ready

to draw another curved line and swoop it

around

bring it around and keep going

if you feel good about it keep going and

connect it wow those are his two legs

when I was a little turtle back in the

old country I used to love to listen to

my great uncle Tony tell stories about

when he was small

that's a nice memory Lou when we listen

carefully we can sure learn a lot from

others

now let's let's draw some more little

curved lines together like that

one two three and we're going to draw

his foot and a clown has very large feet

so that everybody will laugh when he

jumps around and does his somersaults

and look at that these are funny

oh and he's balancing he's balancing on

one leg

okay oh I know what we could do we could

put some buttons on our clown all right

let's put one big button which is

basically a circle just like that and

let's draw another one right next to it

all right and we're going to draw his

collar one curved line and another

curved line another curved line wow we

sure drew a lot of curved lines didn't

we boys and girls

okay I think I'm going to draw one two

three squares right here in this area

one two three so I'm going to start

right here

a square

one square and right below that starting

over here another square and bring it up

and we'll just connect it right there

and right below it let's draw another

square

and connect it now we're going to show

the side of the square so we're going to

put a straight line curving down or

slanting down just like that that's a

slant and we'll connect it here and

bring it down and stop and we'll do the

same thing a slanted line and bring it

down that's the other side

and we'll bring this one over there and

connect it and we'll just start right

here and bring that down and another

slanted line just like that now we have

one two three blocks piled up on top of

each other good h I'm going to put

three letters on my blocks the letter A

B and C but you can put anything you

want on your blocks you can put polka

dots you can make all kinds of funny

designs and and and any kind of anything

that you want to draw i want you to use

your imagination you can put on your own

blocks okay so just use your imagination

you don't have to copy Papy you just

have fun

okay i'm going to print the letter A

here we go the letter A

now the letter B

straight down and a looping line

and bring it around like that the same

way and the letter B and the C starting

right here

kind of looks like a half circle and

bring it around and stop all right ABC

now let's indicate that it's

the blocks are on the ground we'll just

indicate some little curve lines to show

that the clown is standing on the ground

and he's

balancing on one leg now we're going to

show one curved line two curved lines

there and oh let's put another curved

line by his mitten and another one over

here and another one there and I think

we can put one right over here kind of

shows that he's moving around

and there

h looks pretty good what a nice drawing

are you wondering what will happen to

the clown do you think you know let's

see if you're right

oops that's what I call clawing around

you know accidents can happen if you

don't listen oh there's Buddy Bear hi

everybody turtle did you get my package

what package turtle I've been trying to

tell you about this package Buddy Bear

sent you but you wouldn't listen here's

ah Spimoni ice cream my favorite it

looks like your favorite Spamone ice

cream turned to your favorite Spamone

soup well how did that happen it says

ice cream on the box it happened because

I didn't listen to Melbour if I had

listened I would have opened the package

sooner before the Spondi melted well

don't fret Turtle

spam soup this Spam soup tastes pretty

good would you care to join us Poppy uh

no thank you fellas i have to get back

to the cabin so we can color our picture

i don't know how you feel but I really

wanted to talk to you about that

coloring segment i'm excited come on

and Lily i can't listen when you're

both talking at once and I really want

to hear what you have to say you first

Lily no you first Binky but I forgot

what I was going to say me too

and next time don't forget to take turns

speaking so you both get a chance to

listen what do you say we start to color

our drawing great idea Pap

it'll be fun to color a clown because

clowns are usually very colorful

remember I'll choose colors to use but

if you'd like to try something else go

ahead i'd like to see you use your own

ideas too

i'm going to begin by coloring the clown

yellow

here we go

it's a very colorful color yellow

it's so bright and so sunny

it sure is sunny yes it is okay and just

fill that in

like so

and

Take your time

i love clowns don't you

they always make me smile

allighty

okay now I'm going to color his buttons

and you could color them any color you

choose i'm going to choose this bright

color

for my buttons

but you can use red green blue or any

color you choose remember there's no

limitation to your imagination

and we'll fill the other one in here

good i think I'll color the collar

on my clown

using the same color

does anybody have any ideas uh what

color I could use for his hair

seeing that it's a clown did you say

green

that's a silly color perfect

and I'm going to color that green whoops

i like to use the side of my crayon

sometimes and I think I'm going to use

red

for his mittens

just like so

and the same to the other mitten

how about red feet okay we'll make we'll

make his shoes red

boy clowns have such big silly looking

feet don't they i guess that's why they

make me laugh

our clown is very happy but sometimes

they're sad clowns too

i bet your coloring looks very good

because you're doing your best

i can tell that you're all good

listeners because of all the wonderful

drawings you've sent me and some of

those drawings were hanging up in the

Hall of Fames

i'm going to color his hat red

like so

and let's see i think I'll color the

polka dots yellow here's another good

chance for you to use your imagination

and color those polka dots any color

you'd like i think I'm going to color

his nose the same color that I used for

his buttons there we go

now I'm going to color the blocks A B C

all right how about green yes for the

first block again you can use any color

you choose

i really like it when you use your own

ideas

there we go and color that in like so

and I'm going to use the same color down

here for this other one

and color that in

very good

alrighty

now let's use

or I'm going to use orange

for this middle block

i think that green and orange go very

nice together

what do you think whoops

and we'll just

that's looking very nice now I'll color

in the side

using one of Papy's favorite colors

bright sunshine yellow

and

continue over here

all righty what's missing h Oh I didn't

color the pale huh okay Papy's going to

color the pale right now a nice bright

blue color look at that

very

nice and notice I didn't fill it in all

the way i stopped it kind of makes it

look like a shine doesn't it

very good

there you have it

now I'd like to see your drawings girls

and boys can you hold them up really

high so I can see them yes just like

that some of you did choose different

colors that's great

what's the matter buddy can I come in

sure come on in buddy doesn't feel good

oh I should have listened to what buddy

to my stomach it looks as though you ate

a little too much bimon soup and now

your stomach hurts oh listen i was just

about to go to the Hall of Fames would

coming with me help you take your mind

off your stomach oh sure would Papy

i can tell that a lot of listening went

into these drawings look at all the

paprific work buddy and everyone looks

great yes and everyone is special that's

a reminder worth listening to i'll bet

the boys and girls listening are glad

you feel that way
