In just a little
over a month's time.

We didn't even know what it was.

Coronavirus? What the heck?

Narrator: In the final week
of the 2020 winter season...

Reporter: Many countries have
restricted travel from china

Or closed their borders.

Narrator:

Threatened to shut down
ports and trade.

Bill: There's a big panic.

They're talking about
affecting the entire planet.

Do we stop global travel?
Do we stop global commerce?

Narrator:
And with market closures,

Putting downward pressure
on demand...

Jake: The whole world's market
right not is being stifled.

Price could possibly tank
at any moment.

Narrator: ...The alaskan fleet
scrambles to fill their quotas

And deliver
before crab prices plummet.

Scott: No year is a good year
to have a price drop,

But, definitely, I do not
need it this year.

Casey: This has been a season
from hell.

We need to get this stuff

It's time to put a close

they can't reach.

The rising water could alter

As things change quickly

Force the majority
of the russian fleet to idle.

Sounds like the russian boats,
they're tied up.

are gonna now plummet.
