07x04 - Crowd Control

Post by bunniefuu »

[door knocking]
- [Sam] Yeah?

- Hey, guys. One minute.
- Thank you.

[all mumbling and slapping
each other's backs]

[Sam gargling]

- Okay, big spit.

- [Sam] These walk and
talks are a little tricky

because you want to show a lot of energy,

but you can't be going
faster than the cameras.

Well, what you put here is the title.

Ba-bah!

Oh, I just realized I left my-

- Microphone?
- Are you all you ready

for an incredible show?

- I've been here the whole time!

- [Crew] Stand by, folks. Stand by.

- [Crew] Give it up for Sam Reich!

[audience cheering]

- Hello, everybody.
[groovy music]

Get ready for a Game Changer!
[audience cheering]

Tonight's guests,

newly engaged and highly
engaging, it's Jeff Acuri!

- Hello! Pew, pew.
[audience cheering]

- [Sam] Nailed it! There no
downside to Gianmarco Soresi!

- Oh, that's not true.
[audience cheering]

- [Sam] And a late night
legend, Josh Johnson!

[audience cheering]

- Very good, very good,
very good, very good.

- And your host, me. I've
been here the whole time.

This is "Game Changer", the only game show

where the game changes every show.

I am your host, Sam Reich.

I am joined today by these
three professional stand-ups.

Now, you all understand
how the game works.

- Yeah, 100%.
- Did you get an email?

- What?
[audience laughing]

- That's right, our players have no idea

what game it is they're about to play.

The only way to learn is by playing,

the only way to win is by learning,

and the only way to begin is by beginning.

So without further ado, let's begin.

Players, you have until I
give you the red light...

[bell dings]

- [Jeff] Oh!
- [Gianmarco] Oh.

- ...to do some crowd work.
Jeff, we'll start with you.

Everybody, give it up for Jeff Acuri!

- Over here?
- Yeah!

[Jeff laughs and audience cheers]

You got this, man!
- Okay! Thank you so much!

- You got this! Keep it going!
[audience cheering]

- Nightmare.

So where are you guys from?
[Jeff and audience laughing]

This is interesting.

I mean, obviously I saw the
guy with the neck tattoos.

More than neck tattoos.
They're all over you.

What do you regret the most?

[Sam and audience laughs]

Not that you regret any of them,

but you regret some of them.

- My ex's name.
- [Jeff] Your ex's name?

- Yeah.
- Really?

Where is it? Where'd you put it?

- I covered it.

- [Jeff] You covered it? Really?

What's the new tattoo?

- Just a little k*ller kush.

- k*ller kush? Oh, heck yeah, dude.

[Sam and audience laughs]

I actually have the same one.

It's under my shirt. You can't see it.

What was your ex's name?
- Joanne.

- [Jeff] Joanne.
- Yeah.

- Do you miss her?
- No.

[everyone laughs]

- All right. What went wrong?

[laughter continues]

You're gonna put me on the spot,

I'm gonna put them on the spot.

- Do it!

- How big is your p*nis?
Let's get into it, dude.

I'm just kidding. It's big, I can tell.

- I think I'll give you
the red light there.

[bell dings]
Great job!

- Thank you so much!
[audience cheering]

- Hell on Earth, hell on Earth. Me?

- Gianmarco!
- All right, all right.

- Gianmarco Soresi!
- Hey!

Oh, stop it, stop it, stop it.
You're being paid to do that.

Surely this is not what you
do every day with your beard.

How did it start? Were
you doing a little one?

Like, when you were 14?

- I'm a competitive bearder.

- You're a competitive-
- Bearder.

- A bearder. Oh, yes.

You mean like competitively, you grow it?

Every morning, you're like...

[audience laughing]

What do they grade you on?

- For my category, it'd be style.

- What are the other categories?

[Sam and audience laughs]

- Basic natural categories.

- Do they need to have
a whole competition,

or can you just send in
a ruler and go, I won?

[audience laughs]

- I won the UK championship yesterday.

- The UK championship?
- Yeah.

- Can you imagine if you're on that plane

to that competition, you're like,

what the f*ck is going on?

Oh my god, it's in the...

Oh, that must be the winner
over there in first class.

How did you do?

- I won.

- You won?
- Yeah.

[audience cheering]

- Oh yeah, sure. That's a good move.

So do you do this every day?

What does it look like when it's down?

- It's just a goatee.
- No, that's not a goatee.

[Sam and audience laughing]

I feel like you would be a Santa Claus

at, like, an abandoned mall.
[everyone laughs]

[bell dings]
- I'll give you the red light.

[audience cheering]
- [Sam] Bravo!

Josh Johnson, everybody!
[audience cheering]

- Just, it would be best

if you gave me the light immediately.

I'm in a gray hoodie. You
have a grayish hoodie.

- It's green.

- Oh, that's green?
[everyone laughing]

You have a gray hoodie.
[audience laughing]

- It's blue.
- Is that blue?

- This is the day we find out
Josh Johnson's colorblind.

[Sam laughing]

- [Josh] I apologize, everyone.

You guys in the plaid,

are y'all in plaid
because you're triplets?

- Yeah.
- What do you guys do?

- We do real estate.
- Do y'all ever switch?

- He's gone to work for me multiple times.

- Yeah.
[audience laughs]

- My man.

[Sam and audience laughs]

Oh.

- Double parking!
- Double parking!

- [Josh] That's amazing.

If one of you committed a crime,

[Sam laughing]

which one of y'all would go to jail?

'Cause it's up to two of you to vote.

- We'd do a vote.
- [Josh] Yeah, yeah.

What's an activity that
you all three enjoy?

- Martial arts. We're
black belts in karate.

- Have y'all ever, like,

started a fight, and
it was just one of you,

and then all three of
y'all beat somebody up?

You know what I mean? Like-
[bell dings]

- I will cut you off there, Josh!

[audience cheering]

- [Sam] Wow!

Players, bravo.

But you'll notice that
I have yet to award you

with any points whatsoever.

- Yeah, I was wondering about that.

- That is because that
was merely a warmup round.

- I wasted the beard guy for
that sh*t? Are you serious?

Goddammit!

- I can't believe I didn't see him at all.

- You didn't see him?

- I can't even see, really.

[Sam and audience laughing]

- In that case, audience members,

if you would please unsheathe.

- Oh my god, what?
- [Josh] Ooh!

- [Gianmarco] Oh.
- [Josh] Okay.

- Okay, okay.
- [Josh] 'Cause for a second,

I was like, y'all nasty!

[audience laughs]

- Players, what you see in front of you

are audience members we've
sought out for this game

specifically because they're fascinating.

- Whoa!

- In what way are they fascinating?

Well, it's written right
there on their shirts.

- Or it's on their face as a beard.

[Sam and audience laugh]

- Give it up one more time for Jeff Acuri.

[audience cheering]
[Jeff laughing]

- Cool, hell yeah.

Let's see, some of these
are really interesting.

I'm going to ask you about your
love life right here, Miss.

What's your name, first of all?

- My name is Lisette.

- What's up with your love life?

[Sam and audience laugh]

- So, I married my college professor.

- Whoa, okay, where'd you meet?

[audience laughs]

[Jeff laughs]

You met in college,
right? What does he teach?

- Music.

- Okay, and then what class was it?

- It was conducting.

- Was there, like, a back
and forth with you two?

- No.
- No?

- No, I would say, like,
after the class had finished,

we continued kind of
just having conversations

and realized that we had a lot in common.

- At the time, how old were you?

- I was 20.
- And how old was he?

- 38.
- 38, okay. It's gross.

[audience laughing]

I'm sorry, is that him? Is it him?

It's not him, is it? Is
he right next to you?

Oh no. [groaning]
[audience laughing]

Yo!

It's not gross, though.

What was it about her?

[Jeff, Sam and audience laughs]

- I've never met anybody like her.

- Wow, okay. Cool.

- We've been married for nine years.

- That's really cool.

Do you still teach?
- Yes, I do.

- Okay, when you go off to class,

is she like, no more meetings after class?

[bell dings]

Okay, that's it. Thank you!
[audience cheering]

I love love! I think that's so wonderful.

- That is how the game is played, Jeff.

- Okay, cool.
- And for that,

out of a possible three points,

I will give you two points.

- Thanks. Why didn't I get three?

Ha ha ha!
[audience laughing]

- Gianmarco, everybody!
[audience cheering]

- All right, okay. Okay, hi.

Let me say something I would never

under any circumstance than this show.

Tell me about your faith.

- I knew you picked me. I saw you-

- It'd be funny if it was like,
I'm just a strict Catholic.

What is your faith?
- I'm a Satanic witch.

- What does that mean?
- I work with spirits,

including, you know, Lucifer.

- Oh, really? Oh, really?

- Digest, digest.

- No, I'm gonna vomit, I think.

[Sam and audience laughs]

I guess I'm just wondering
why Lucifer's spokesperson

is doing extra work for
"Game Changer" right now,

but I guess maybe he wanted you to suffer,

and that's part of the whole thing.

So tell me, were you raised religiously?

- I was raised Muslim.

- Okay, okay! Not gonna touch that one.

[audience laughs]

I mean, Lucifer is supposed to be evil.

Am I misunderstanding her?

- That's what makes the content spicy.

I don't think he's evil.

- You don't think he's evil?
- No.

- What's a holiday look like for you?

- Plant medicine.

- I do that ritual too.
I guess I don't have-

Are you trying to recruit?

Are you trying to, like,

build this thing into a
bigger, broader religion?

- Always accepting applications.

- What do I have to do?
I'm already circumcised.

[audience laughs]

[bell dings]
- [Sam] There, Gianmarco.

I am going to say, out
of possible three points,

two for you as well, Gianmarco.

- Okay.

- One more time, Josh Johnson, everyone!

[audience cheering]

You've got this, bud.

- I have to make a
disclaimer ahead of time.

I can read, so in case you're far away

and I read your shirt wrong,

it's not a reading things,
it's an eyes thing.

Ask about my phobia. What's your phobia?

- I'm scared of feet.

- You're scared of feet.
- Petrified.

- Can I see if you have feet?

Okay, so how do you handle your feet?

Because that's like, if
you're arachnophobic,

and there's a spider on you at all times.

[Sam and audience laughing]

- My feet are beautiful.

Everyone else's feet,
can't really mess with.

- That's confidence. I
like that, yeah, yeah.

That's what's up.

- When I was about four
years old, I was in karate.

I was sparring.

A kid kicked me and cut me
on my arm with his toenail.

- That is nasty, so you're not wrong.

Even my martial arts bros
in the back are nodding,

that that is pretty gross.

Okay, and so that's where it started.

- Yep.
- Where it at now?

- I can't sleep in the
same bed as my girlfriend,

and she refuses to not
sleep with socks on.

- In other words, you
gotta really lay down pipe

to make her acquiesce
to something like that,

you know what I mean?

- I'm the only one who
wears slippers with socks

in my house.
- [Josh] Okay.

- Everyone else just
walks around barefoot.

It grosses me out.

- I respect that you, like,
because feet is your thing,

you wear the slippers and the socks.

- Yes.
- You're being the change

you want to see, okay.
[bell dings]

- [Sam] One more time for Josh, everybody!

[audience cheering]

- I can't believe Josh said
"lay pipe" and "acquiesce"

in the same sentence.

[Sam and audience laughing]

I don't even know what that word means.

- You never read the dictionary horny?

[Jeff and audience laughing]

- Josh, I think you made
a real connection there

with a member of the audience.
- Yeah.

- And so for those
reasons, I'm going to say

a three out of a possible three points.

[audience cheering]

As we head onto our next round,

give it up one more time
for Jeff, everybody!

[cheering]

- Get 'em!
- Hey!

Yeah!

Hell yeah, man!

[Jeff laughing]

I'm taking my shoes off for this one.

[Jeff and audience laughing]

- [Jeff] Okay, cool.

I'm going to ask you about
your party trick, please.

- I have a magnet implanted in my hand.

- You have a magnet
implanted in your hand?

- Yeah.
- Okay, so what is that for?

- It's just for fun.

- Who did the surgery?

- My brother.
- Your brother did?

- It's not a surgery, it's
just like a big needle.

- It was just a giant needle.
- [Audience Member] Yeah.

- Which is scarier.
[audience laughing]

You had a giant needle.

How old were you when you had this done?

- This was two years ago, so 21.

- And now you're 23. You're much smarter.

[Sam and audience laughing]

Now what do you do with that magnet?

Which I see you're going
into your pocket right now

which scares me.
[Jeff laughs]

- Nothing much.
- [Jeff] Oh sh*t!

Look at that! That guy's like,
I'm no longer scared of feet.

[audience laughing]

- Can I pull it off?
- [Sam] Wow.

- You can see, like, the
bulge. Like, it bulging.

- [Gianmarco] Yeah. Oh, I can see.

I feel like this is what you have to do

to became a Satanist.

[audience laughs]

[Gianmarco squealing]

- [Jeff] Oh, okay.
- [Sam] Wow.

- [Jeff] Wow, that's really cool.

You can put it away.
Don't ever do that again.

[audience laughing]

What's the worst reaction
you ever had to that?

- Probably from doctors.

- Doctors? Ah, yeah, yeah.

[Sam and audience laughing]

Medical professionals are
like, "Why did you do that?"

And you're like, "You just don't
even f*cking get it, dude."

[audience laughs]

- My brother, he has, like,
a bunch of stuff in his body.

- Your brother has a bunch
of stuff in his body. Okay.

- Yeah, so he has his car keys,

so he can, like, unlock
his car with his hand.

- And he's just planning
on having that car forever?

[Sam and audience laughing]

Could you imagine selling
your car and being like,

"As soon as I sell this car,
I also have to get surgery."

[bell dings]

- [Sam] I like it it a lot, Jeff!

[audience appluading]

- Great. Okay!

- I think I'm going to keep
you at another two points.

This game is still competitive.
You're now in the lead.

- Wait!

- By default, by default.
- It's two rounds!

- By default, given
where we are in the game.

- Yeah!

- Gianmarco.
- Sure.

- Let's see what happens with you.

- Okay, great. Yeah, okay.

- [Sam] Give it up for
Gianmarco, everybody.

- All right, all right!
[audience cheering]

Does it go off through TSA?

- No, no, it's small enough.

- Oh, it's small enough.

Oh, so with you and three more siblings,

you could make a g*n in the airport.

All right, let's go on the back! You!

So what's your job?

- I'm a paleontologist.

- A paleontologist, like Ross.

- Oh my god.

- Yeah! Yeah, how do you like it?

- You know how many times I've heard it?

- Oh, you know how many times
I've heard, "Tell me a joke!"

Yeah, buddy, we're in the same boat!

- Everyone's a victim here, I'll admit.

- Do you feel like "Friends"

captured your profession accurately?

- I've never seen a single
episode of "Friends".

- Okay, well, now you're just
trying to be a contrarian.

You need to go enjoy it.

I mean, at some point it'll be old enough

for you to study it as a sitcom.

Yeah.

You could rebuild a
skeleton of Matthew Perry.

[audience gasping]

Oh god, I know, I know, I know!

- Wow!
- I know, I know!

- Paleontologists don't dig people.

- I like that was your
problem with the joke

that I just made.
- It is!

- Everyone was like, oh,

you got paleontology wrong
with that one, buddy!

- [Sam] I think I'll cut
you off there, Gianmarco.

- [Josh] Jesus Christ.

- I hate to do this,
because it was very funny,

but I think I'm going to
make an example of you

and say one point.
- Oh god.

- For stepping in it.

- I am a professional step-inner.

- Very interesting point, Gianmarco,

which will prove to be relevant

when we get to the next round of our game.

- All right, all right!

- Give it up one more
time for Josh Johnson!

[audience cheering]

- I may have to ask you
what your shirt says.

[Sam and audience laughing]

Sir, yours says, "Ask
about my credentials."

What are your credentials?

- I'm a bonafide nudist.

- Oh!
- King.

[audience laughing]

- [Gianmarco] Dammit!
- Legend.

- [Sam] I love this!
- [Josh] Yes.

- That was a good reaction.
I hate you so much.

- Oh my god. Sir, you should be knighted.

All right, tell me about what
it's like being a nudist.

- It's probably the most freeing thing

that anyone, I think, can experience.

- Do you feel like you're in jail now?

[Sam and audience laugh]

- It's sort of like a
coming out, you know?

- And how long have you been a nudist?

- Since college.

- Where'd you get the
confidence to be a nudist?

- The first class that
I had was drawing class,

and we had nude models.

- And you were like,
"I'm bigger than him."

[Sam and audience laughing]

[bell dings]

- [Sam] You know what,
I'll cut it off there!

- You see him laughing.
[audience cheering]

- Josh, I think you're
doing a really great job

connecting with this crowd.

[audience cheering]

- Okay, all right.

- I am going to say another
three points for you,

bringing you to six.
- Oh, thanks, man.

- Now, one more time for
Jeff Acuri, everybody!

[audience cheering]

Hey-o!

- Hell yeah, dude! I love that.

I want to ask this woman
over here with the glasses,

right over here, I see it
says, "Ask me about my job."

What is your job?

- I teach improv to
incarcerated men and women

in our California State prison system.

- Wow, okay. Are they just all like...

[Gianmarco cackling]

[Jeff and audience laughing]

Okay.
- They're not behind bars.

- So let me ask you,
what's the biggest obstacle

for working with inmates?

- Probably just the initial few minutes

where they're very uncertain.

- You know, improv is very scary.

[Sam cackling]

For prisoners in a state
prison, that must be

the scariest thing that
they've had to surmount.

Okay, what's your
favorite part about that?

It's got to feel rewarding, I'm sure.

- Oh my gosh, the change that I can see

from when I started with them

to when we finish our
program is astounding.

- That's really nice.
- It's so rewarding, yeah.

- What's the funniest
thing a prisoner has done

in that context?

- I think the funniest
thing was when someone said,

"Oh, I'm gonna come out
and rob a 7-Eleven,"

and I was like, "Oh, no!"

- Yeah, you're like, let's
think outside the box.

[bell dings]

- [Sam] That sounds about right.

- Thank you!

That was good.

- That was great.
- Thanks.

- Jeff, I'm going to bring
you another two points up.

- Thank you.
- To a total of six points.

Gianmarco, you've established yourself

as the heel of the episode.

- Not just of the episode,
but thank you very much.

[everyone laughing]

- Last opportunity of round one.

- Yeah.
- I believe in you.

Give it up for Gianmarco!
[audience cheering]

- Thank you, thank you.

I'm going to bring it back to the nudist.

Tell me when to stop.

[audience laughing]

Oh my god! Okay, now
we see why, all right.

You! May I ask you about your job?

- Sure. I'm a magician.

- Okay, let's move on.
[audience laughing]

Your luck. Can you tell
me about your luck?

- So I genuinely believe that I am cursed.

- Is this the religious section over here?

What do you mean you're cursed?

Convince me. I'm very skeptical.

- So every year on my birthday,

something terrible happens to me.

- Okay, tell me.

- When I turned 16, this is the first time

it got really bad.

My little brother got bit by a spider,

so they had to take him to the hospital.

- And he became Spider-Man?

- So I walked home from
school. It took me an hour.

When I got there, the power was out,

so I spent my 16th birthday-

- Wait, can I just say
something really quick?

It sounds like your brother is cursed.

You're like, "You won't believe it!

My brother got eaten by a wolf!

And then I had to make my
own dinner that night!"

What about 17?

- 17, I had spent a
whole year coordinating

this charity concert
and I had to cancel it

because I got really sick the day before.

- Now take it home with 18.

- So on my 18th birthday,

I had two of my best friends in the world,

I planned this whole thing
with the both of them.

One of them calls me and is like,

"Hey, so actually, I
don't like hanging out

with the other friend at all."

- Can I just throw out there,

you plan the concert on the birthday.

You got sick 'cause you probably

weren't getting enough sleep
or didn't have vitamin C.

You pick bad friends who
don't even like each other.

And maybe your brother has to stop

playing in the f*cking attic!

He wouldn't be bit by
spiders every second!

[bell dings]
[audience cheering]

[audience laughing]

- You have created such a vibe
for yourself on this stage.

But you know what, Gianmarco?
I've done a complete 180.

Three points for you for that one.

[audience cheering]

- Yeah!

- I think if you go far enough
with it, it works somehow.

- Thank you, thank you.

- And that really brought it home for me.

[audience laughing]

As a five foot six man.

It's you and me against the world, Josh.

- Us?

- I've never felt lonelier than this-

- No, I didn't mean to, I just-

- Would you say you've
never felt more low?

- Let's take one point
away from Gianmarco.

- No! No, no, no!

No!
- [Sam] Bringing him to seven.

One more time for Josh Johnson, everybody.

[audience cheering]

[Sam laughs]

- It says, "Ask me about my love life."

What's going on with your love life?

- I'm a member of the
Seattle kink community.

- Seattle kink, okay. All right.

- I'm in something called ABDL,

if you know the abbreviation.

- I don't know the
abbreviation. Can you tell me?

- It stands for adult baby diaper lover.

- [Josh] Adult baby diaper lover.

[Sam and audience laughing]

- They are so upset when
Josh finds his gold.

- As brief as possible, can
you bring me up to speed

on what adult baby diaper lover-

- Honestly, it's all there in the name.

[audience laughing]

[Sam cackling]

- Yes, it is. All right.

And I'm not trying to get you to, like,

tell tales out of school or anything,

but do you recognize anybody right now?

- No one in the room. As
I said, I'm from Seattle.

So I wouldn't know.
- [Josh] Oh, okay.

What was your first experience,

when you were like, let me dive in?

- Honestly, after I
started going to therapy

and was able to feel a little
bit more confident of, like,

okay, this isn't going to k*ll me-

- I'm sorry, do you sh*t in the diaper?

I'm just really curious.

- This is a whole thing.
- Yeah. Sorry, I-

- No, listen.

- It's fine.
- Open up this dialogue. No.

- Okay.
- Okay.

- Really?
- That's right!

- You'd be surprised.

There's a big split in the community

between people who sh*t-

- Yeah, it's called the a*s crack!

- I'm so sorry. Let's add
back that point for Gianmarco.

[audience cheering]
- [Sam] Thank you.

- So you said there's a
division in the community.

- There is.
- [Josh] There are the people

who poop, the people who are
just like, "No, I'll wait."

- They're just all about piss, yeah.

[Gianmarco laughing]

- [Josh] Wait, wait, wait, wait.

So it's not in thirds.
It's not clean diaper-

- Oh, I don't think so, no.

- Something's happening every time.

- Oh yeah, absolutely.

- [Gianmarco] Oh my god!
- Yeah, that's part of it.

- Oh.

But you're now looking at me wild, like,

don't you know we all piss in the diaper?

I just thought that you
were wearing the diaper...

Okay, so, what is the etiquette-

- What is the etiquette,
Josh? What do you mean?!

- I'm just saying, like,
let's say you're at the adult-

- At an event, yeah, usually-

- At an event, and you don't know that

you're around a bunch of
pissers, and so you poop,

and everybody's like, "Ugh,
you're k*lling the vibe!"

- Consent is king. They're
always like, "Hey, no poop."

Like, anything else is okay.

- It's actually the rule for most parties.

- Yeah.
[bell dings]

[audience cheering]

- Another three points for Josh Johnson.

[audience cheering]

And that brings us to our minigame!

This is a little minigame

that we like to call Show of Hands.

Players, you're clearly terrific

at connecting with crowd
members one on one,

but how about an audience en masse?

- In a moment, I'm going to ask you

to ask the crowd a question

in order to get a
particular show of hands.

Closest wins. First off, 90%.

In the lead, Josh, I'm
going to start with you.

- How many of y'all think

that people in LA don't know how to drive?

- [Sam] That's going to be
tough to beat. Gianmarco.

- If you were a member of
the, what was it called again?

- ABDL.

- Raise your hand if you would be like,

"Yeah, don't sh*t in the diaper."

[Sam laughs]

No, too many!

No, you too? No!

- Jeff.
- Okay.

Raise your hand if you drove here today.

- [Sam] Ooh.

- [Gianmarco] Wow.
- With exactly 90% of the vote

Josh gets the point.
- Oh, wow!

- Exactly 90%.

- I owe all of you a high
five. Raise your hand!

Yeah!

- Now this is going to take a while.

- Yeah! Yeah!

Yes, yes! Yeah!

- No repeats and no reversals
of questions we've just heard.

Gianmarco, I'm going to start with you.

- Okay.
- 10% of the audience.

- If you've ever done a real,

true blue Dungeons & Dragons game.

- Oh sh*t!
[audience laughing]

- [Sam] Wow!

Gianmarco, wildly underestimating

how many Dropout fans
there are in the crowd.

- I-
[Sam and audience laughing]

Josh.

- What if we close our eyes?

- So we can know what it's
like to see through yours?

[mixture of laughs and groans]

- That was very good. Don't be weird.

- Thank you.
- That was very funny.

- I don't know. Take a
point away from Gianmarco.

- No!
- No, no, no!

- I think we should.
- Okay, raise your hand

if you make over $250,000 a year.

- You forgot how many
Dropout fans there were here.

[Jeff claps and audience laughs]

- Jeff, 10%.

- Raise your hand if you have red hair.

- With exactly 10%, Jeff!
- Yes!

[audience cheers]

- Wow!

Otherwise, it would've been you.

- Damn, okay.

- And then, if neither of them...

[Sam and audience laughing]

- Give that point back to Gianmarco.

- Yes! Oh, man!
[audience cheering]

- Last one.

round, we'll start with you.

- Okay, raise your hand if you are wearing

a white shirt provided by Dropout.

Nope, I f*cked up.
[audience laughs]

I could've done the math easy.

- All right, fair enough.
Josh, we'll go next to you.

- [Josh] Okay.

Raise your hand if you
put the toilet paper,

when you put the new roll, on
the side that goes like this.

- Under and not over.

- Under.
- [Sam] Under.

You would've aced the 10%
one with this question.

- Damn.
- Gianmarco.

- Raise your hand if you have a piercing.

- Ooh.
- That's good.

- That's pretty good.

It's going to be a tossup between Jeff-

- I want to know where
the nudist's ones are.

- It's my left nipple.
- Yeah, it is! Hell yeah!

[audience laughing and clapping]

Is there a significance to it?

- Well, the other one,
someone can play with.

- You are a king, sir.

[Sam laughing]

- You're like a bop it, twist it.

- With 64% of the vote, Gianmarco,

that point goes to you.

[audience applauding]

Which brings us to round two.

For round two, I'm going
to give you the option

to do something even a
little bit more challenging.

- Oh!

- Could I have my red flags
reveal themselves please?

[tense music]

- [Gianmarco] I knew it! I knew it!

- What'd you know?

- There's more.
[Jeff and Josh laughing]

- [Sam] These audience members-
- Oh sh*t!

- Should you dare to interact with them-

- Yes, yes!

- Are worth double the points.

But be warned, it's a minefield out there,

and you could easily b*mb.

Let's reverse this order, and
Josh, we'll start with you.

Josh Johnson, everybody!
[audience cheering]

- Y'all were in a lot of accidents.

[audience laughing]

Yours, does it say,
"Ask about my accident?"

- It says addiction.

- Whoops!

[audience laughing]

- [Sam] Yes!
- Okay, my friend,

tell me about your addiction.

- I was addicted to
cocaine for five years.

- That is reasonable.

I've heard that cocaine is really good.

- It's real fun.

- And so you have now beat your addiction.

- I am clean and sober for six years.

- Congratulations!
[audience cheering]

I've never done anything,
and so to know what it's like

and then be like, "I'm
going to do other things,"

that's admirable.

What was your favorite part about cocaine?

- So, canonically-
- Did you say canonically?

- I did say canonically.
- Like, biblically?

Okay, canonically.
- So, canonically,

cocaine is very expensive.
- Yes.

- In five years of being a coke addict,

I never paid for anything.

- Go off!

Teach me your ways!

- I wore pretty low-cut
tops and dated terrible men.

- They do seem to have all the cocaine.

- They do!
[audience laughing]

- Canonically, what else happened?

- The funniest thing,

one time I sucked
somebody's toes for drugs.

Don't do that. Addiction's weird.

- This foot guy is
freaking out, by the way.

- I have to check in with you.

How are you doing hearing
something like that?

- There's not enough
cocaine in the world for me.

[bell dings]
- [Sam] That'll do it, Josh!

[audience applauding]

Very good, Josh.

Out of a possible six points,

let's say another four points for you.

- Thanks.

- [Sam] Bringing you all the way to 14.

- So how much cocaine does
that many points get you?

- Depends what you're
willing to do to my toes.

[Jeff and audience laughing]

- Let's give a point to him, you know?

- You can take that point away.

- I'll suck your toes!

[Sam and audience laughing]

- Gianmarco!
- Oh sh*t, okay.

[audience cheering]

Can I ask you about your childhood?

- Yeah. I was attacked by a serial k*ller.

- Oh my god. Did you survive?
[audience gasps and laughs]

Are we familiar? Is it, like, one of the-

- Yes, the National Forest Serial k*ller.

He is on death row in Florida.

- The National Forest Serial k*ller?

- Yes.
- So, a man or a bear?

[audience laughing]

Okay, how old were you? You said a kid.

- It was in the early 2000s.
I was a young preteen, teen.

- Yeah, yeah, yeah. Stabbing age!

[audience laughs]

She's alive! She's alive, okay?

It's okay!

Tell me about your encounter.
You're walking with your dog.

- Through the shortcut
where it's just, like,

bushes and trees.
- Uh-huh.

- And he hops out of a
bush with his little, like,

he had, like, a baton thing.

- Did you testify?

- No, they didn't need me
to. He'd m*rder*d someone.

[Gianmarco and audience laughs]

- Honestly, though,
that would've been fire

if you had busted into
court and been like, "And!"

- Okay, let's go red flag all the way.

How do you feel about capital punishment?

- Gianmarco!
- Sorry!

Now I'm gonna take off my
shirt! I have an ever redder...

- I'm actually opposed.

- Do you know when the date is?

- He doesn't have one yet

because there's still several
open cases in North Carolina.

- Oh.
- Yes.

- Okay, well, we kind of
had more of a resolution

than a comedic one, exactly.

I guess the big laugh
will come on the day,

but it hasn't been scheduled yet.

[bell dings]

[audience laughs and cheers]

- Great. Great.
- Great job.

- This kind of rules.

Gianmarco, I don't know what
more I could possibly look for.

I think a full six points for you.

[audience cheering]

But be careful, or I'll take one away.

Jeff Acuri, everybody!
[audience cheering]

- All right, hello.
Ask me about my family!

Let's do that one, that's fun.

- Yeah, it's the world
smallest doomsday cult.

Two families.

- Is it a cult?

- Yeah, considering that my dad believes

that his best friend is a prophet of god.

- Really?
- Yeah.

- How are you doing today?
[audience laughing]

So you left the cult.
- Yeah.

- Where, generally, are you guys?

- Like, Ohio and Tennessee.

- Ha! That's just funny to me.

It's like, we have two divisions,

and just like six people total.

[Sam and audience laughs]

Your dad believes his best friend-

- Yeah.
- Who is part of the cult?

- Kind of the leader.

- And he thinks the world's
going to end at some point.

- My dad's best friend
earnestly told me at one point

that he saw the archangel
Gabriel and Lucifer-

- I love the reference to
her. Just like, and Lucy-Luc!

So here's what I'm going to say.

I'm going to get zero points.

But I want you to know
that you did a good job,

and the zero points
that I get will reflect

not at all on you, it's just more me,

because I'm scared about this.

I didn't know how to handle it.

Maybe next round, things
can turn around for me.

Have a good day.
[bell dings]

[audience cheering and Sam laughing]

- I think some roles have
flipped here throughout the show.

- Yeah, f*ck you!

[Sam and audience laughing]

[laughing] I'm the bad guy.

- I'm going to say two points.

- I'll take it.

- Which brings us back to Josh.

- Okay.
- [Sam] Josh, everybody.

[audience applauding]

- Hey.

Yours says, "Ask me about my family."

- Oh yeah.
- Tell me about your family.

- My former, keyword
here, former stepmother-

- Former stepmother.

- Attempted to m*rder my
father by slowly poisoning him

over the course of several months.

[audience laughs]

- Okay, wait, and y'all
caught her though, right?

- His doctor, who's actually now his wife-

- Date up, date up! Okay!

- Yes, she is a big improvement.

- Doing the literal opposite, yes.

[Sam laughing]

- She had him go into the medicine cabinet

and collect all of the meds
and took them to a pharmacist,

and the pharmacist was like,
"What do you take this for?"

"I don't know." "What
do you take this for?"

"I don't know."
- Oh my gosh.

- And the pharmacist was like,

"You should've died a while ago."

- This story feels like the
logic a f*ck would use

to never get married, 'cause it's like,

you don't know what could happen, dog!

You know what I mean?
One day, everything good.

And then all of a sudden, you get sick.

And then she start poison.
That's why I can't commit.

[audience laughing]

[bell dings]
[audience cheering]

- Let's say, out of a possible six points,

another four points for you,

bringing you to 18 points, Josh.

- Getting it.

- For the last time, Gianmarco Soresi!

- Okay, okay.

Tell me about your health.

- I have a titanium plate and two screws

holding my skull together.

- Oh yeah?
- Yeah.

- Can I borrow your hand?

[everyone laughing]

Would it work?
- We could try.

- Let's try.

- This would be crazy.

- What if he just died?
- Oh, Jesus!

[everyone laughing]

- [Gianmarco] Thank you.

Could you imagine?

That'd be the greatest crowd
work clip of my entire life.

Okay, could I ask you about your accident?

- I broke my neck in an accident

and didn't know about
it until years later.

- So not that bad, I guess.

- I thought it wasn't that bad.

- What, were you looking in the mirror,

you're like, "Nah, looks fine to me."

What did you do?

- Well, I was in a snowmobile accident,

and woke up wrapped around a tree,

but walked away from it.

- So when did you find out?

- I got into a car accident.

- And suddenly you're like,
"Wow, it feels amazing now!"

- I got a bunch of X-rays done,

and my spine curves from
where I hit the tree.

- So they put your
skeleton under an X-ray,

and it comes back like
this, and it's like,

oh my god, that's a tree shape!

- The very top, I had broken my atlas,

which is the same place
Christopher Reeve broke his neck

when he fell off the horse.

- Yeah, do you go on dates
and tell people, like,

hey, you know, I'm stronger than Superman?

[audience laughs]

[bell dings]
[audience cheering]

- [Sam] Sorry! Wow!

I think let's...

I saw someone flash me the six.

I am going to say six
points for you, Gianmarco.

I don't feel great about it,
but that's maybe not the point.

- No.
- Give it up one more time

for Jeff Acuri!
[audience cheering]

- Thanks.

Okay! [laughs]

What happened with your accident?

- Which one?
- You decide.

- We were living in Uganda at the time.

- You were living in Uganda?
- Yeah, of course.

We found this little baby
snake, put it in a terrarium.

We're like, wow, this is obviously

a worm that we can raise as our own.

- That's cute.
- And this little baby snake

very quickly started growing up.

- You have, like, parents
that saw this as well?

- Yeah, yeah, yeah.

- And they just were like,
"That's a cool f*cking worm."

[audience laughs]

I would think that you're
like, "This f*cking worm, dude!

I just want to go fishing! g*dd*mn, dude!"

Tell me something else
about you that's going to-

- Like catching on fire?
- Yeah, that one.

[Sam and audience laughing]

What happened?

- So, I was throwing Doritos
chip packs into the fire.

- Why were you doing that?
- I think just arson.

- Still mad about how you
lost your favorite worm?

- Yes.
[audience laughing]

- Anyway, so what happened?
Who caught on fire?

- Caught the hem of my pants on fire,

did not notice for a full
second until I was like, huh.

- Now, I do have to stop you
and wonder if you're lying,

because your pants were on fire.

[audience continues laughing]

[bell dings]

- Yeah!
[audience cheering]

- Oh, I'm a sucker for a pun.

[Jeff laughing]

I am going to say six
points for you, Jeff.

[audience applauding]

- Finally!

- Which brings us to the end of our game.

The crowd work's been worked,
and the scores at the end,

Jeff with 15 points, Josh with 18 points,

and Gianmarco with 19 points!
[audience cheering]

Gianmarco, you are the winner of our show!

- I couldn't do it without you!

- And you win these two drink tickets.

- Oh my god!

- Those drink tickets are good for beer,

but not not for hard
liquor, just so you know.

- Good to know.

- That does it for us
here at "Game Changer".

I am your host, Sam Reich,
reminding you that a stranger

is just someone you haven't
turned into content yet.

Goodnight.
[audience cheering]

[inspirational music playing]

[inspirational music fades]
