01x14 - Dr. Duplicator Strikes Again - Thunderman

Post by bunniefuu »

From out of the pages of DC Comics comes

the world's newest and greatest

superhero, Plastic Man. He

can spring, he can stretch,

he can fly, he can bounce,

he can change his shape,

and he can even dance.

Each week, Plastic Man will face the

world's greatest collection of villains.

There's action. There's

comedy.

There's danger.

There's penny. There's bad

luck cooler.

There's plenty for everybody on the

Plastic Man Comedy Adventure Show.

Eat your heart out, eight man.

To Plastic Man, with the thanks of

everybody on the island of Guanalope.

Plastic Man! Thank you. This, uh,

pineapple guava punch is delicious.

Laugh, go on. They'll

laugh out of the other side of their

mouths as soon as the moss men strike.

They're almost there already.

Boy, this punch is great. How about some

more, Governor Aruba?

Uh-oh! Oops! My brand-new topic will

soon! I'm sorry, Governor Aruba. I'm

such a jinx. I'll clean it off.

Look out!

Oh, I can't take him and his bad luck

anywhere.

They've gotten aboard, Miranda. Governor

Aruba's going to change his jacket.

Thanks to that jinx hula hula.

I knew he'd be a big help to us.

Did you hear that? The governor. Sounds

like he's in trouble. Plastic

man, help! I'm coming, Governor. Here

comes Rubberface right on schedule.

Excellent. He'll save Governor Aruba

exactly as we want him to. Help!

I can't swim! You won't have to, sir.

You go to safety, Governor. Thank

you, Plastic Man. Now to get those moss

creatures. Too late. They got away. Hmm

I wonder who they are. Here's our

prize.

Who are you?Why did you bring me here?On

the contrary, Gavin Aruba, you're not

here. You're still on your yacht thanking

Plastic Man for saving you.

That's not me. No, we threw a

duplicate of you into the water for

Plastic Man to rescue while we kept you.

And now, off to our secret hideout.

Boy, those creatures were ugly things.

Hmm, and I'd like to know what they were

up to. Plus,What's that?

Some kind of moss must have been left by

them. I'm sure the chief will want to

have it analyzed. Come on.

My secret lair, Governor. What do you

think?

It may not be comfy, but it definitely

is cozy.

Your new home, Governor Aruba. I

hope you enjoy the view.

What are those horrible, ugly looking

things?Those beautiful creatures are

my duplicating plans.

Aren't they neat?Show any one of these

plants a picture of anybody. Yourself,

hmmAnd poof out comes a

perfect double. Why?For what

purpose would you do such a horrible

thing?I'll be happy to show you. You'll

never get out of here to tell.

That's Marshall Garcia, my chief

executive assistant. Who soon will be

keeping

You can't go around duplicating people.

We duplicate you. And we're going to use

the duplicates to capture your country's

Secretary of Secrets, Mr.

Lopez. As you know, he's coming here with

a briefcase full of top secret documents

tomorrow. And once we have him, we'll get

those secret documents and sell them for

millions of dollars.

You can steal Secretary Lopez's secret

documents. Why not?Who's

going to stop me?

Well, I don't know how you did it, but

this time you were actually on the ball.

Did the lab analyze the moss?Yes, and

it's not normal moss, which means

we're dealing with Dr. Duplicator.

Suffering surfboards, Dr.

Duplicator. Do we have anything to go on?

Well, we've got one clue. That moss

only comes from Skeleton Cove.

Skeleton Cove?Now, why do the

villains always pick out such

out-of-the-way places?Plans?

Yes, Chief?Get going!

Hurry up, Miranda. Secretary Lopez's

plane will be landing in precisely three

hours. We've got to make a switch with

the real Garcia. The duplicate is ready

to go. It's the alarm.

A plane's approaching. Switch on the

monitor. Monitor on. It's

Plastic Man. Order the Mossman to

activate the gravity machine. We're going

to knock that plastic jet right out of

the sky. There's Skeleton Cove.

Gee, there's nothing down there but a

moss-covered old frigate. Moss?

That must be Duplicator's frigate. Now

we've got him. Leak the lava. What's

happening?

Oh, something's pulling us down. It's a

gravity beam. If we don't break out of

it, we'll crash. And I can see where it's

coming from. I'm

going down.

Fortunately, gravity beams work only on

metal and not on plastic.

All right, you moss-covered misfits. I'll

take that machine. I

can't hold on. I'll help you.

Oh, no. Oops.

If I don't turn off the gravity beam,

Penny and Hula Hula are goners. Sorry,

fellas. Playtime is over.

Class turned off the gravity beam.

Miracles of Maui were saved. And

you wonder why I adore him. Now

to get Duplicator. Uh-oh.

Duplicator's boat vanished into that fog

bank. Well, maybe one of those creatures

will tell us something.

Got you, Moss Man. Now to get back up to

the plastic jet.

Monster of Molokai, a Moss Man.

Hi, guys. I brought back a little

moss-covered souvenir. What are we going

to do with it?We'll take him to the

governor's palace. What better place to

have a friendly little talk?

I doubt if he can tell us anything. We'll

see. Okay, Mossman, talk.

What's Doctor Duplicator up to?

Doctor Who?

Don't try to fool us. We know you know

where his ship went.

What did he say?

I think he's saying he's turning into

dust. Dust?Of course!

This isn't a living creature. Dr.

Duplicator's mated with a built-in

destruct mechanism. We'd better make him

tell us what we want to know quick. What

is Dr. Duplicator up to?Why did he try to

snatch the governor here?Who's next?Talk!

Garcy. Garcy?

Garcia! Marshall Garcia!

Oh, you're in dreadful danger, sir. But

why?Yes, why?What's Duplicator's

plan?

The old turn your moss man into dust so

he can't talk trick. Now we'll never know

what that crazy doctor is trying to pull.

Well, we know one thing, class. He's

after the governor's assistant here, Mr.

Garcia. Well, he's not gonna get you,

sir. From now on, you're under my

personal protection. Thanks, plastic man.

My high-rise security apartment would be

the safest place to stay. Good idea. Come

on, Mr. Garcia. We're taking you home.

You there, Dr. Duplicator?They're coming

out now.

Here we are, Mr. Garcia.

My apartment's on the 20th floor.

Wait!What's this on the sidewalk?

Moss. Chumping pineapples.

I'll bet they're waiting upstairs to

capture Mr. Garcia. You stay here and

guard him, Hula Hula, while I go up and

surprise them.

It sure beats waiting for the elevator.

Don't worry, Mr. Garcia. Players will

take care of everything. All

right, you fiends, you creatures of evil,

you...

No one here! Help! Help

Help me! A trick! They've got

Garcia and Penny and Hola! Quick, bring

Garcia to the car. I've got to get down

there before it's too late. Ohh

Help! Player! Help!

Oh, hail!

Players! Now the fake Garcia goes out.

Dr. Duplicator is trying to switch a fake

Marshall Garcia for the real Marshall

Garcia. I'll stop him.

You're not going anywhere.

He's got our car. That plastic fool has

interfered with my plans once too often.

He's seen Garcia's duplex. He might

figure out our plans. Quick, hide in the

jungle. What about

us?Follow me.

My double is heading out into the jungle.

Along with everyone else. And we're going

after them. You'd better get back to your

apartment. You'll be safe now.

Good luck, plastic man.

Why are we stopping?Because I just

decided how we are going to get that

stretch nose off our backs once and for

all. Wait for me,

Treyas! Faster, Penny! I'm sure they're

not far ahead!

I'm

coming! We heard, doctors!

It's a good thing my Mossman brought a

duplicating plant.

Excellent! We'll make a duplicate and use

it to lure the big rubber dodo into a

trap. Oh, no! No

It seems impossible, but I think they

gave us the slip. Where's Penny?

Penny?Players!

Over here! I found something! Come on!

Boy, we thought something happened to

you. Oh, I'm okay, but they went into

that old abandoned record factory. Let's

go!

I don't like the looks of this place. Me

neither. But if Duplicator and his dirty

duplicates are in there, we're going in.

Right. You stay out here. If any of

Duplicator's moss men show up, you know

what to do. Imitate the warning cry of

the Hawaiian whooping crane. Exactly.

Why can't villains hide in clean,

well-lighted places?Class, over

here. Quick! Coming, Penny.

Perfect. He's walking right into my trap.

Now. Quick, the

plastic hardener.

From now on, plastic man, you're going to

be music to my ears.

You did fine, Duplicate Danny. Now we can

switch Garcia with his duplicate and join

the duplicate governor at the airport.

We'll just make it if we start now.

Yes. Won't Secretary of Secrets Lopez be

surprised when he realizes he's been

fooled?Stay here and keep

guard. By the time Lopez realizes our

switch, we'll have all his secret

documents put up for sale to the highest

bidder.

Let's get Garcia's double and head for

the airport. Suffering surfers.

Dr. Duplicator. They must have used a

duplicate penny to trap Plaz.

I must, man. Looks like he's gardening

something. Oh,

no. They've turned Plaz into a 33 1/3

LP. If I can sneak past that

Mossman undetected, I can grab

Plaz.

Me and my bad luck. Roll, Plaz!

Roll!

Hurry, Plaz! He's catching up!

Hardner. Get

back to your old plastic self. Right,

Hula. Now to take care of that Mossman.

He's getting away. We'll have to let him

go. Stopping Dr. Duplicator is more

important. We've got to get to the

airport before he captures Mr. Lopez, the

Secretary of Secrets. Secretary Lopez's

plane now arriving at gate two. Please

clear the area of all unauthorized

personnel. Here comes our duplicate

Governor Aruba now. You know

what to do.

Mr. Garcia, Plastic Man needs to see you.

It's urgent!

You'd better go, Garcia. Lead the way. Ohh

Now, I send Garcia's duplicate off to

join our duplicate governor as both great

Secretary Lopez.

Governor Aruba, Marshall Garcia, how

good of you two to meet me?The car's

waiting.

We've got to get to the airport before

it's too late.

Plastic Man, you are too late. We've just

got word that Duplicator's already got

Secretary Lopez. You'll have to find

Duplicator's frigate. But we don't know

where it is anymore. You just better find

it, 'cause if anything happens to the

world as a result of this, I'm holding

you responsible.

She cares.

Your turn to join the other, Secretary

Lopez.

You can't sell those secrets. It could

create a disaster. But it'll make me

rich. Prepare to

broadcast. Ready. Now to

interrupt programs all over the world.

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. This

is Dr. Duplicator speaking. I'm offering

Secretary Lopez's secret documents to

whomever pays me the most money.

Holy Honolulu, that's Duplicator.

We're in luck, Hula. Duplicator has made

the big mistake we've been waiting for.

He has?Yes. We're going to get a

fix on where he's broadcasting from with

this scanner. If you're interested, you

have 24 hours to get your bids in.

Got it. Hula, take her due West,

How did I do?Do they give awards for

best program interruptions?You

won't get away with this. Plastic Man

will stop you. Plastic Man,

that putty-faced fool is a Grammy loser.

According to the scanner, the beam came

from that grotto down there. You did it,

Plaz. You tracked down Dr. Duplicator to

his new hiding place.

It's Plastic Man! How could he have

escaped?I don't know, but he's found us.

I told you you couldn't get away from

Plastic Man. He's stretching out of the

plane. Then I'll have a welcoming

party waiting for him.

If it's games they want to play, it's

games they'll get.

My Mossman failed, but my wooden

boom won't.

Time for an exit.

Where did that plasti-jack go?That

pool should have gotten him! Hi, guys.

It's a good thing I found that nuthole,

or I would have been a plastic poop deck.

Players, hurry and get us out!

Plastic man! That's right. Now

why don't you and I try and cultivate a

relationship, and I'll supply the plant.

Way to go! Duplicator's trapped in a

plast plant. Where is he?Let

me at him. I'll handle him. Oh,

simmer down, hula. Just let us out of

this cage. And these two can be

firmly planted in prison.

The duplicating plants are destroyed, and

everything is back to normal. A pineapple

punch toast to Plastic Man and his

friends. To Plastic Man! How

about some more, Governor Aruba?Cooler!

No! Oh, no! My brand-new

tropical suit! I'm sorry, Governor Aruba.

I'll clean it off. Not again!

You ever get that feeling you've done

something before?

They'll never know what's hit them. Ooh,

what are you gonna do, Thunderman?

Something no supervillain has ever

dreamed of, Misty. I'm going to

steal the entire city of New York.

But that's impossible. Nothing's

impossible for Thunderman. By using my

supercharged weather belt,

I can change the weather to anything I

want. A tornado!

Correction. A thundernato! The

most powerful tornado ever created!

Watch!

Perfect! Oh, it's gone!

Not gone, Misty. I'm merely

taking it on a little trip. When my

thundernato brings New York back to our

native Zambia, I'll sell it to the

highest bidder. I'll be the richest man

in the world!

Boy, it sure feels good to be able to

relax for once. It sure does, Hola Hola.

Uh oh, the chief.

Rest period's over, Plastic Man.

Something's come up. Don't tell me.

Another supervillain is threatening the

world's safety. Another supervillain is

threatening the world's safety. I told

her not to tell me that. Thunder Man has

just stolen New York City, and he's

taking it back to Zarnia in a giant

tornado. It's up to you to stop him.

Now, get going.

We're out over the ocean, players. We

should be able to see Thunder Man any

second now. Look! There he is, Penny.

I think I'll go in for a closer look.

Surprise! Plastic Man! I think

it's time you gave up, Thunder Man. Think

again, Plastic Man. It's time you

went down.

And here's some fleet to help you.

Can't hold on!

That fool! You should know nothing can

stop Thunder Man! I've had enough of

this! Are

you all right, the plastic hero?Yes,

Penny. But we're going to need some help

on this case. And I know just where to

get it. The Mayor Zonia is an old friend

of mine.

Thunder Man was one of our most brilliant

scientists till he turned to a life of

evil. Do you know what he's done with New

York, Sir?He's taken it to a remote

jungle in the South of Zanya. He's

already accepting bids for it. Then we've

got to move fast. There's only one

problem. What's that, Mister Mayor?

Thunder Man has promised to destroy our

entire city if you come near him. Then I

guess Thunder Man has won. No, Thunder

Man must be stopped. Our contacts will

give you all the help you need once

you're inside the city. That's very brave

of you, Mr. Mayor. We won't let you down.

According to the map, New York should be

right below us. There's only one problem.

Thunderman has hidden it under that thick

cloud. Penny, we'll have

to land in the jungle and go in from

there. Take her down.

Players, this jungle gives me the

creeps. How much further till we reach

New York?I don't know, Penny. I'll go up

for a look.

Oh, sorry, dear big fella. You scared me

for a second. I better take it up a

couple of notches. Uh-huhThere

it is.

It should be no trouble getting there,

g*ng. The trouble will start when we meet

Thunder Man again.

I won't take a dime on the thin vision,

and that's spinal.

Sure, I'll deliver, but it'll cost you

extra. Boy, I never thought selling New

York could be such a problem. Funny, man.

I have always wanted to go shopping at

Floomington Dales. Oh, can I?

Please?Sure, Misty. Live it

up. But make sure no one follows you

back here. I'll be careful.

HP, what are you trying to do?Skill it.

Ice cream. Ice scream. Get them while

they're hot. Shh. Hula, Hula.

Quiet down. Penny's right, Hula. We don't

want to draw attention to my disguise.

Give me a strawberry without the straw

and a razberry without any raz. You must

be Steve, our contact. What can you tell

us?Thunder Man's girlfriend, Misty, is

going shopping at Floomington Dales this

afternoon. Follow her and she'll lead you

to Thunder Man. Thanks. Did you hear

that, Plaz?I sure did, Hula. Let's go.

Wait right here, James. I won't be long.

That's her class. What does she say?I'm

not sure, Penny. I think I'll do a little

eavesdropping. Oh, what a

darling raincoat. Oh, I just have to get

it. That gives me an idea.

Oh, James, isn't it lovely?I hope

Thunder Man will be surprised.

Follow that car and step on it!

We're still with him. It looks like my

bad luck has finally changed.

You were saying...

How do you like my new raincoat? What do

you need a raincoat for?Well, let's face

it, Thunder Man. With you around, I never

know when it's going to rain. Did

anyone follow you here?Someone tried, but

we gave him the slip. Oh, it couldn't be

Plastic Man. He wouldn't dare try to

track me down. No, but I never refuse a

piggyback ride. Thanks for the lift,

Misty. You?You were my

raincoat?Very clever,

Plastic Man. But just because you found

me, don't think you're going to capture

me. Oh, no?Give me one good reason why I

shouldn't take you to jail right now.

Because I'm stronger, faster, and

smarter than you, and because I'm about

to end your meddling once and for all.

One would have been enough. Here's a

little breeze to cool you down, Plastic

Man.

You call that a breeze?

It's a good thing Plasm wore his homing

device so we could follow him here. I'll

say. I hope he's all right. Any sign of

him yet?No, but there's something

almost as good. When I get through fixing

that copter, Thunder Man will think he's

been on a roller coaster.

How do you like my magno heat intenser

plastic man?I can think of better ways to

get a tan. I designed those

plastic-proof ropes myself. There's no

way you can escape. In five minutes, the

sun's heat will turn you into a plastic

puddle.

Come on, Misty. Let's get to the copter

to fly to City Hall. I warned those

fools what will happen if plastic man

tried to stop me. I guess it's time I

used my head. Or better yet,

my hair! If I can just tilt this

glass... There! That

beam should be able to burn through this

rope.

Free at last! I just hope Thunder Man

hasn't gotten too far away yet. Hey,

what's going on here?Putting in that

remote control device sure did the trick.

Here, give him a loop-the-loop. Oh, I'm

getting...

Good work, Penny. Now bring him down.

Sure thing,

player. Fools, you should have taken me

when you had your chance. Now you'll

never catch me. You can play that

game.

Let's see how fast you are in a

thunderstorm. A

little lightning isn't going to slow me

down. Then how about a

blizzard?

Here comes Blast, the downhill

racer. I'm getting out of here.

I think it's time I put this villain on

ice.

Where you're going, you won't be needing

this.

Thanks to you, Plastic Man, our people

can live in peace again. I couldn't have

done it without your help, sir. What will

happen to Thunder Man now, Mr. Mayor?

After New York is returned safely to your

country, we'll try to rehabilitate him.

And if that doesn't work, we can always

get him a job on TV. As what, Hula? The

world's greatest weather forecaster. What

else?Ohh
