welcome to one of the biggest races

in Monster Machine history!

To win, racers will have to go through the snow,

be on the sea,

and fly to a finish line in the sky.

It's the Snow, Sea, Sky Race.

- Oh, yeah, it's gonna be snow, sea, sky-a-rific.

[laughter]

- And now let's meet our racers.

First up, he's tough to beat because he likes to cheat.

It's Crusher!

- [laughs]

♪ 'Cause nobody's better than me, me, me ♪

[yells]

- And racing against Crusher,

he's the fastest Monster Machine the world's ever seen--

- You bet we can, AJ, because when we work together,

we can do anything.

You two can't beat me in a snow, sea, sky race.

- Oh, yeah?

[engines rev]

- Let's tell Blaze when there's a green light

so we get off to a fast start.

When the light turns green, say go!

Gotta get through all this snow.

I'm gonna drive this snowplow across the snow

so I can win this race.

- Gee, okay, Crusher.

But are you sure you know how to drive it?

- Eh, how hard could it be?

Now, let's see.

I just need to find the button that makes it go,

and I think it's this one.

- Nope, that's not the go button.

That's the french fry button.

- French fry button?

Okay, then, this must be the go button.

- Actually, that's the big hair button.

- Big hair button?

- Well, then this must be the go button.

- Yep, that's the go button, all right.

The go bananas button, that is.

- Go bananas button?

[musical car horn honking]

- Whoo-hoo!

- It's Blaze!

I can't let him get across the snow before me.

Well, this ought to stop him.

[laughs]

- Whoa!

- Blaze, look out!

- Gaskets!

There are giant snowballs rolling down

the snowy mountain.

- Oh, man!

We've gotta figure out some way to get past them.

- Hey, I've got an idea.

Let's build something to get us across the snow

and destroy the snowballs.

- Yeah, and we can figure out what to build by using design.

- Design is when you imagine a way to solve a problem,

and then you build it.

- Check it out.

I can design Blaze to have two new parts--

continuous tracks to help him drive

on top of the snow and a rotary snowplow

he can use to chop up the snowballs.

- Oh, yeah!

It's time to become a continuous track

rotary snowplow Monster Machine!

- All right!

Now let's test our design on the giant snowballs

heading this way.

[exciting rock music]

- We gotta figure out how many snowballs there are

so we can chop them.

How many snowballs are there?

Four, yeah!

Four chops coming up.

- Whoo-hoo!

Our design worked!

But look out, here comes even more snowballs.

- How many are there this time?

Three snowballs, right!

Let's get chopping.

both: One, two, three!

- Yeah! [laughs]

We just need to get past these last snowballs.

How many snowballs are there?

Five, yeah!

both: One, two, three, four, five!

[musical car horn honking] - Whoo-hoo!

- We made it through all the snow.

- Yeah, and there's the next part of the race, the sea.

- Nothing's gonna stop us 'cause we're...

- [laughs]

Well, what do you know, I'm the first racer

to make it to the sea.

Oh, how am I supposed to get across the sea

if there's no road?

- La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la.

Oh, hey, Crusher.

What do you think of my new boat?

- A boat?

[laughs] That's perfect.

Scoot over, Pickle.

I'm taking over this boat.

- Oh, okay.

Sure.

- Now, let's see.

I just need to find the button that makes this boat move,

and I bet it's this one.

- Actually, that's the spoon button.

- The spoon button?

Ow! Ow!

Well, then it's gotta be this button.

- You mean the waffle button?

- Waffle button?

Ugh.

Well, at least now I know that this must be the move button.

- Yep, that's definitely the move button.

- Phew.

- The move and groove button!

- Move and groove button?

[disco music playing]

- [vocalizing]

[laughter]

- [groaning]

[musical car horn honking]

- Wait a second, that sounds like...

[exciting rock music]

Blaze!

- Whoo-hoo-hoo!

- Oh, I can't let him get across the sea before me.

Not to worry, because I know just

the thing that'll stop him.

I'll make...

whirlpools!

[laughs]

- Uh-oh, Crusher made giant whirlpools

that are spinning all over the place.

- Well, if we wanna win the Snow, Sea, Sky Race,

then we'd better design something to get past them.

- Yeah.

Check it out.

I could design Blaze to look like this.

He can have a planing hull to go fast across the sea

and water jets to blast out and launch us over the whirlpools.

- All right!

Time to become...

a planing hull water jet Monster Machine.

- Yeah!

Now let's test our design and see it in action.

We've gotta be ready to jump over a whirlpool

whenever we see one.

- Help us look.

- Yeah, we've gotten across the snow and the sea.

So to win the race, we just have one last place to go--

the sky.

There it is--the finish line!

Oh, but it's way up in the sky.

How am I supposed to get up there?

- [grunting]

- Pickle, you got an airplane?

- I sure did.

- Does it fly?

- Silly Crusher, of course it flies.

You just have to push the right button.

- [laughs]

Then move aside, Pickle, this airplane's all mine.

Hmm, I bet this button makes it fly.

- Nope, that button makes it taco.

- Taco?

[coughs]

Yuck!

Well, then this must be the fly button.

- Actually, that's the roller skate button.

- Roller skate button?

Ah!

There's only one button left,

so this button must make it fly.

- Yep, that's the fly button, all right.

The butterfly button!

- Butterfly button?

Whoa!

[yelling]

[musical car horn honking]

Oh, no, it can't be.

Not...

Blaze!

- All right! - Whoo-hoo-hoo!

- I don't know how he keeps getting past all my cheats,

but there's no way he's getting past this--my...

Stinky Sky Skunk!

- Stinky, stinky, stinky.

- [laughs]

Blaze will never win the Snow, Sea, Sky Race now.

- Stinky, stinky.

Stink, stinky.

Stinky, stinky, stinky.

- Oh, no!

Crusher's Stinky Sky Skunk is trying to stop us

by filling the sky with giant, stinky clouds.

- Then it looks like we'll have to design something

that can get us past it.

- Yeah, I can design Blaze to be a jet plane

that looks like this.

He'll have a Doppler radar that can find holes in the clouds

and delta wings so we can fly through the holes really fast

like a supersonic jet.

- Whoo-hoo!

I'm a Doppler radar delta-winged Monster Machine!

[exciting rock music]

- Yeah!

- Stinky, stinky.

- Come on, Blaze, let's test our design

on these stinky clouds.

- Doppler radar, activate.

[electronic pulsing]

It worked.

Our radar found a hole in the clouds.

- Uh-oh, but it's closing fast.

- AJ's right.

We only have six seconds to get through before the hole closes.

- Whoo-hoo! - We made it!

- Stink, stinky, stinky.

- Oh, man, but that Sky Skunk

just made even more stinky clouds

- Doppler radar, activate.

[electronic pulsing]

Look, our radar found another hole in the clouds

right over there.

- But we've gotta hurry.

It's closing in five seconds.

- Count down with us.

- All right!

- We've almost made it past the Sky Skunk.

- Stinky, stinky.

- We just have to get past these last stinky clouds.

- Activating Doppler radar.

[electronic pulsing]

- Look, it found the hole in the clouds.

- But we'd better get through it fast.

That hole is closing in three seconds.

- Blaze, look!

It's the finish line.

But Crusher's almost there.

- I'm gonna win the Snow, Sea, Sky Race!

- It's time to give this design some blazing speed.

- To give me blazing speed, say let's blaze!

- [laughs]

[musical car horn honking]

[shrieks]

- I knew we could do it, AJ, because you and me,

we make a pretty great team.

- Congratulations, Blaze and AJ.

- Oh, but that's not all.

A sweet victory deserves a sweet reward.

- Whoa!

- The trophy is filled with ice cream!

- And the toppings are for all the places from the race.

Snowflake sprinkles for the snow.

- Gummy fish for the sea.

- And whipped cream clouds for the sky.
