Well, I got some bad news
to tell you.

You're not gonna be able
to just move straight
into the yellow house.

But right now, I really
don't have any other option.

I've been in Chris's house
for about a month,

and me and Chris
haven't lived together
in a very long time,

Brittany and Chris.

[Brittany speaking]

-[Chris] Is she
in the bathroom again?
-I don't know.

[Chris] Man, that girl's
in the bathroom

Every time I go
to the bathroom,
Brittany's in there.

It's just a work in progress.

It's not gonna be

At the moment,
Tammy, myself, my wife,

my daughter Emily and her baby

are all living under the roof
of this one house

with one bathroom.

But even though the house
gets crammed
from time to time,

it seems to be going okay.

[Chris] Tammy living
with Brittany and myself
is actually kind of chill.

That being said,
there's a whole lot of awkward
silence going on because,

you know, Tammy don't wanna
piss me off,

or she don't wanna piss
Brittany off.

And so she just
don't say nothing.

And I'm like...

Well this afternoon,
I'll probably do some
work in that other house

because I have
to get it done, so...

How long do you think
it'll be?

Two weeks
if I push on every day
like I have been three weeks.

If I take a day off
'cause I'm starting
to get tired,

[Tammy] Chris is saying
that it's gonna be two weeks

before I can move
into the house.

I kind of think
it'll be a lot longer.

I'm very thankful, but,

I could see me
living here for a while.

[Chris] I weighed
a couple of days ago,

and I weighed 284 and a half.

The big deal is that I've lost
since I've seen Dr. Smith,

and that means that
the hard work
I put in is working,

or I'm just literally
working my a*s off

in this yellow house
to get it done.

One or the other,
but I don't give a damn which

'cause the number's
getting lower.

I haven't weighed in a while.

[Chris] Well...

[Brittany] I got a scale.

[Brittany] Sure.

[Tammy] The last time
I was at Dr Smith's
three months ago,

I weighed in at 303.



[Chris] I'll be goddamned.

Congratulations. That's good.

Chris said he weighs 284.

I now weigh
a little less than Chris.

I mean, the last time
I weighed 281,

I was, like, fourth
or fifth grade.

You're supposed to be lighter

[Chris] Tammy's success
makes me ecstatic.

Did I ever think
I'd see the day
that she was smaller than me?

Well, no, probably not,
'cause I never thought

about her ever being
smaller than me.

She's always been Tammy, big.

You had Dr. Smith saying
you had 100 pounds to lose,

so you've lost a fifth
of what you're supposed to.

And I've lost about
a fifth too

'cause I've lost about
I was with Dr. Smith.

And he gave me
a 50-pound goal.

Dr. Smith wants me
pretty close to 250.

That's where he wants me.

But he also told me
if I did start losing weight,

then he would refer me
to a plastic surgeon
for skin removal.

Now that I've broken
through the plateau,

he did go ahead
and give me a referral.

Now, I have an appointment

so I can have
the skin removal.

I want you to come with me
so we can get
a second opinion.

I'd like for Tammy
to come with me

because I'm hoping
the plastic surgeon

sees how much her excess skin
is hindering
her everyday movements,

and that she will get
a different opinion
than what Dr. Smith had.

But I don't know about y'all.

But my eggs are getting cold.

I'm hungry. I'm ready to eat.

[Tammy] I like the idea
of going to see
a plastic surgeon.

I'm kinda hoping I'm approved
to get some of it removed.

she can give us some insight.

It feels great knowing
that Mom is actually
really proud of me.

It's weird to hear
to her say it, I guess.

So what's all going on
in the family?

[Chris] Well,
Tammy and Amanda,
they're at each other.

Y'all need to start
getting along better.

I mean, yes,
I'm not saying it's all her.

Yes, I start
the fight sometimes.

I'm guilty.

But I mean, every time I try
to talk to her about things,

she wants to get mad
and kicks me out.

I haven't talked to Amanda
in two months.

If Amanda was to walk in here
and try to talk to me,

they would fight about

I don't know even my dog

[Amy] I think grandma would
really love my cooking, but,

grandma is a very
opinionated person.

She's just like
all the rest of us.

That's where our opinionations
come from.

The fact she was

I wanna cook
for the whole family
just to...

...take us back
to where we were, like,

bring the family
together again.

This damn fight
between Tammy and Amanda
is hurting the family.

And me cooking
and having everybody
over for once,

would be squashed too.

one step closer

to getting everybody

The proper way to eat a steak
is medium rare,
but there's no judgment.

This is your food,
and you cook it how you want.

If you want it well done,
it'll cook quicker
if you butterfly it.

But that's not how
I would do it.

And I don't know
what I'm doing, but,

I'm gonna butterfly
this b*tch. [chuckles]

They say a good steak
only needs salt and pepper.

-But I like to get little bit
more fancy than that...

So one of my favorite
seasonings is black salt,
black pepper and rosemary.

There's a whole entire cart
over there
for you to use as well.

Since you're the one
that's learning how to cook,

you can go pick out
the seasonings,

but don't put no [bleep]
on my steak, though.

you can really go wrong

to get a second opinion

for skin removal surgery

And Tammy's tagging along
with me

mainly because I am hoping
that Dr. Turner

will make a medical exception
for Tammy

because Tammy's excess skin
is hindering
her everyday movements.

is going to open
a lot of doors for me.

And you feel like it moves
all the way around

I don't have very much
skin extra
on my arms and legs.

My abdomen
is the biggest problem,

and after that, my chest area.

So if I get my belly roll
cut off,

I'm gonna be all slendered up
in this area

and then I'm gonna have
some big, flabby man t*tties
on top.

And if the pain
is just not worth it,

I'm just gonna
live with my man t*tties.

[laughs]

[Dr. Turner]
You're mostly skin.

So I'd be comfortable
operating on you

if you lost say another
somewhere in there.

Try and do it not just
with calorie restriction.

the internal surgery.

a year out.

I think you hit your...
your lowest weight,
usually around 18 months.

not tomorrow.

Tammy is not currently
a candidate
for skin removal surgery

because she's only
about 13 or 14 months out
from her weight loss surgery.

At this point,
she should probably
continue to lose weight

over the next six months
to a year.

Get to her goal weight,
and then we can reapproach
the topic with her.

You can't go to any doctor
and have them fix you

examine you.

I just wish she would have
let him get hands on

because even though
we're not talking
and we're not on good terms.

to happen to her.

that she's more receptive

if they survived,

everybody else is gonna

But at the same token,
if we ain't breathing,
you can't fight.

So I guess, if we're all dead
from eating Amy's cooking,

you're not gonna have to worry
about no family fights.

[chuckles] That's what
I thought, too.

That first bite, you know,
takes you by surprise.

Damn, I was surprised
all right.

It's actually good.

It's a lot better
than I thought it was
gonna be anyway.

I was kind of shocked
that it did
kind of taste good.

It just wasn't fully cooked.
