Well, you know, my Grand-goyle always said

takes a little while to kick in.

ready to practice.

learning about plays this week
that I've organized
a special class field trip.
We're going to our very own
local theater, "The Firefly"!

is gonna be a hit tomorrow!

at the zoo.

The Firefly Theatre is totally haunted!
There's stories of unexplained singing,
instruments that play themselves,
and even ghost sightings!

Uh-- [chuckles nervously]
Are you sure they're not just stories?
Just wait till tomorrow.
I'm gonna investigate
all of them for my web show.
It'll be a hit!
I thought my house was
the only haunted place in town.
Don't worry. My brother loves

In all my years as a volunteer
for the Historical Society,
The Firefly Theatre is my favorite.
This week on Weekly Weirdness,
we're touring
the spookiest theater in town!

Mr. Gore! Is the theater shutting down?
It's true. The Firefly will close its
doors once and for all this week.
We are the final tour.

-What happened?
Well, The Firefly
hasn't had a performer in years.
There's a silly rumor that the theater
is too spooky to visit, so-- [chuckles]
But, uh, it's not spooky at all.
It's just old!
-[creaking]
-[glass clanging]
I think it's boo-tiful.
I mean "beautiful."
[sighs] I agree, Vampirina.
Now, let's begin our tour.
The Firefly was built in 1852
and named after Pennsylvania's
state insect.
-Wow!
-Excuse me!
Paranormal expert, coming through.
Aha! To the orchestra!
My trusty ghost detector never fails.
Psst! Hey, Vee! Can I come out now?
I didn't plan to spend the whole field
trip in this backpack!

who's looking for a ghost.

[Edgar] Weird prop door.
Must be where the stories
of singing came from.
But a ghost could still be here!
That was close! But it worked!

a ghoulishly impressive voice!

But you haven't heard anything
until you've heard
these ghostly hands
play the piano forte.
[playing piano]
I'm guessing this is where
the stories about instruments
playing themselves come from.
How are we gonna explain this one?
-[Edgar] Aha!
-No idea.
But we better think fast,
because Edgar is coming!
[gasps] Gotta hide!
Did that piano just play itself?
-Uh--
-Was it a ghost?
No ghost here! This is just a, um...
Uh... [gasps]
A self-playing piano!
Yeah! When Vee moves the crank,
the piano will play itself. See?
-[clears throat]
-[piano playing]
Phew! [out-of-breath] See?
Nothing... spooky...
[sighs] I guess it is
just a self-playing piano.
Bummer. Still, I'm pretty sure
there's a ghost around here somewhere!

safely hidden from Sir Edgar.
Can I show you my favorite place
in the whole theater?
Ooh! Is it the prop shop?
