and good morning, Hauntleys.

I have prepared a decadent breakfast
boo-fet for you all this morning.

[all] Oh!

[Remy] We have dragon egg omelets,

avocado ghost toasts,
ham and cheese mummy wraps,

croque monsters.

This all look so fancy.
Even for you, Chef Remy.

Oh, thank you, little one.

Ze trick is to, how they say,
"cook with love."

Now, please, dig in.
Bon Appetit.

Whew! Spook-tacular breakfast.

I haven't had a meal
that delicious in centuries.

It was really good.

But is everything okay?

Uh, but of course.
[chuckles nervously]

Why do you ask?

Your bones are all rattling.

You're sweating, which I didn't
even know skeletons could do.

And your arm keeps tapping me
on the shoulder.

[Oxana] Is there something
you wanted to tell us?

Well, I, uh...
Lu-lu-lu-bu-boo...

[chomps]

It's true. I have received word
from the Catacomb Cafe

that the head chef is retiring.

And they have asked me
to be his replacement.

[gasps] The Catacomb Cafe? Wow!

What's the Catacomb Cafe?

Only the number one monster restaurant
in all of Paris.

The cafe serves up the finest dishes.

I can achieve
all of my food dreams there.

That sounds spook-tacular.

But does this mean you're leaving?

[stammers]
Well... You see, it's, uh...

Yes.

I'll really miss you, Chef Remy.

But if this is your dream,
I'm terror-ificly happy for you.

Oh, thank you, little one.

Well, I best be off.

In France we say "Au Revoir"
to say goodbye.

But it also means we will see
each other again so...

[upbeat music playing]

the kitchen without me?

It is a lot harder than it looks,
you know.

Oh, I know.

I really, really know.

But don't worry. We can all work together
in the kitchen until we find a new chef.

Boris and I can bring in

lots of Transylvanian fruits
and vegetables from the garden.

And I can be our temp chef.

[chuckles]

What? I love eating. So clearly,
I know everything about cooking.

And I guess I can be
your sous-chef, Demi.

Huh? W-what's that?
Why the made-up words?

[giggles] It means "assistant."

Don't worry. I'll help Demi out.

Obviously, I'll be our hostess.

I've got a face for hospitality.

Well, then,
I must pass this on to you.

My beloved cookbook.

I have written down all of my tips
and recipes for Hauntley home cooking.

Now, I must say au revoir for real.

To all of you Hauntleys,
it has been a pleasure.

The pleasure was all ours.

You'll knock them dead
at the Catacomb Cafe.

we'll see Chef Remy again?

I'm sure we will, Vee.

[chuckles]

Looking quite spiffy and chef-errific
if I do say so myself.

[Gregoria] Oh. Eek. Ah.

[chuckles] Gregoria,
what are you doing over there?

Practicing my smile. If I'm going to be
the hostess with the mostest,

my smile has got to match.

And I'm pretty out of practice.

Here's a healthy heaping of harvest
from the backyard.

We brought it all,
scream-berries, vam-pumpkins,

-shrieking tomatoes.
-[tomato] Aah!

Your father and I are off
to Transylvania

to try and scare up
a replacement for Remy.

Hopefully, we'll be back before
the next Scare B&B guests arrive.

It will be fine.
Y-you said they were trolls, right?

[chuckles] They'll eat anything.

Plus,
we have Chef Remy's cookbook.

All we have to do
is follow his recipes.

Good luck with preparing
the food, bat-kins.

[doorbell screaming]

Wow! Your parents
sure found someone fast.

I don't think that's them.

Oh. Ooh. Ah. [coughs]

Hey, there. I'm Grogg.

And this is my wife Sherry.

We have a reservation,
but we're a little early.

Plus we are starving

and wanted to eat your world-famous
Scare B&B food right away.

Okay, yeah.

No problem at all.
[chuckles nervously]

We're totally ready for you.

Today for lunch
we have slime burgers,

and scream salad
with bluey dressing.

-Oh, we'll have two of each.
-Great.

I'll have the burger
badly burnt to charcoal color,

-no bun and no lettuce.
-Uh-huh.

Uh, yeah.

And I have a slime allergy,
so I'll substitute moss for slime.

And I want the scream-eek dressing
on the side.

Oh, and do you have creepy ketchup?
I'd like that on the side too.

Uh, just one moment, please.

These are the pickiest trolls
I've ever seen and...

What the what now?

Uh, we might be having
a little bit of trouble in here.

Chef Remy's recipes are all
in skeleton measurements.

"Two bones of sugar,"

"A skullful of salt," huh?

And what in the weird
wide world is salt? [gasps]

Oh... That-that's a pretty
easy one, actually. [chuckles]

Anyway, it turns out
that washing shrieking-potatoes

and cutting haunted asparagus is harder
than Chef Remy made it look.

Then, what do we serve
our hungry, hungry trolls?

Ooh, I know!

My famous Demi spookghetti
with scream-ba*ls.

It's easy as pickle pie to make
and I know the measurements too.

These two are pretty picky,

but as long as everything
is on the side,

it should be better than
the spooky-ful mess you're making now.

And there we are!

Ooh, and just a little bit
of monstro powder to top it off.

[demi grunting]

Ooh. Oops.

Demi, that was all
the monstro powder in the bottle.

You know how too much of it
makes food come to...

-[poof]
-...life.

[grunting]

Ah! Spookghetti Monster!

Uh, they say you should bring recipes
to life in the kitchen,

but I don't think
they meant it this way.

We have to catch it
and cook something else fast.

[grunts]

Have at you, pasta monster.

[yelps]

We need Chef Remy.

Demi, can you transport us
to the Catacomb Cafe?

One ghost poof coming up.

[gasps and grunts]

-Wait!
-Yes, Chef Remy?

[slurps]

Ah-ha-ha-ha. Stop right there, Louis.
Do not serve that soup.

But, Chef,
the costumers are hungry,

and you haven't let
any of these dished go out.

That is
because they are all missing something.

Some important ingredient,

but I have not been able
to put my finger bones on it.

What is missing?

Also, why can I not stop thinking

about the Hauntleys' tiny little kitchen
back home?

It felt so much more alive
than this one.

[Remy] Ooh!

Oh! Tasty.

Sacrebleu cheese!

-What are you doing here?
-We need your help.

And there's no time to explain.

-Will you come with us?
-Now?

But I am in the middle of dinner service.

Although, it is not going
as well as I thought.

Neither are things at home.

Demi accidentally created
a Spookghetti Monster.

Oh, the horror! Say no more.

Let us go.

Ha! My petite kitchen. Muah.

Here is the problem, chef.

-[growling]
-Uh, where's Gregoria?

Right here. He stepped on me
and I got trapped.

Ha-ha. I have dealt
with many Spookghetti Monsters.

A piece of cake.

When handling spookghetti,
you snag it like so,

and then, twist it.
Mm-hm. Like so.

-[both] Whoa.
-[growling]

And voila.

-You did it, Chef.
-Go, Remy.

Only problem is,

we've got a couple of very hungry trolls
sitting out in the dining room.

Can we ask for one more favor
before you leave, Chef?

h*-h*.
For you, little one, anything.

Mm. That was spook-licious.

Oh, has anyone ever told you
you have a very nice smile.

Another world-class meal
prepared by our world-class chef.

Oh, thank you.

Now, I really must be returning to the
Catacomb Cafe kitchen. Au re...

We found the replacement chef.

Everyone,
say hi to Chef Rani Bones.

Bonjour. Frightful to meet you.

Chef Remy?
What are you doing here?

[chuckles nervously] He's just
here tying up some loose ends.

And, uh, noodles.

And was just about to leave.

Ah-ah-ah. Not before I give
training to my replacement here.

Come, come, let us be.

Vee likes soup
when she's feeling under the weather

and scary-berry pie for dessert.

Ooh, and always make sure

you cut the crust off her scream-nut
butter and jelly sandwich, any questions?

Uh, just one. What is that?

-[growls]
-New family pet.

Just feed him a little bit of
parmesan cheese every once in a while.

Got it.

Oh, and here is little Vee's lunch box.

I always pack a surprise treat for her.
[chuckles]

Like a crispy-creepette
or spiced scare-pears.

She absolutely loves my lunches.

Uh, is anything wrong, Chef?

All done with the lesson?

Not at all.

You cannot hire Rani,

because you still have
another candidate to consider.

-Who?
-Moi. Me.

I must confess
that my dreams have changed.

My new dream is to cook for all of you
and watch little Vee grow up.

Well, it turns out, life is more fun

when you have flying food
and Spookghetti Monsters

in your kitchen instead of
[chuckles] fancy cuisines.

[all] Aw.

Are you sure, Chef Remy?

I always say "to cook with love."

But now, I realize it's better

to cook for those you love.
[chuckles]

And I love you.

We love you too.

But what about Chef Rani?

Well, I might have just set her up
with a cushy, new job.

All right, everyone. I have some very big,
bony shoes to fill,

so let's all do our best
to make the Catacomb Cafe

even better than it was before.

[all cheering]

[Vampirina]
The School Scare Fare.

Oh! Ah!

Morning, Mama.

Oh, good morning, bat-kins.

Uh, how about some
Frosted Fang cereal?

Scrambled eeks?
Bagel and scream cheese?

-[scream]
-[chuckles] Thanks.

How do you have time
to make all this?

Oh, I've been up for hours.

I'm as nervous
as a monster in pink.

Today is a special day,
you know.

Oh, is it Show and Tell?

Because I know a cute little ghost
you can bring. [chuckles]

Oh, please.
No one can even see you.

At least, I'm visible.

Bring me, Vee.
I'm the original pet rock.

Nonsense.
I'm a much better choice.

Easy and breezy.

[chuckles]
It's not Show and Tell today.

It's the school fair.

And mama is the school fair chair.

Very nice. Although, I don't see
how turning into a chair helps.

No, Demi. Being the school far chair
means she's in charge of the whole thing.

It's a batty big deal.

That's right. Mr. Gore wanted
to do something new this year,

so he asked me to bring my own special
Transylvania flair.

-I just hope it goes well.
-It will be spook-tacular, Mama.

Here we are!

Whoa! It looks so...
spooky.

It's... perfect!

Oh, you really think so?

Yes, Mama.
Everyone's gonna love it.

Well, hello there!

Oxana, you sure brought
your own flair, didn't you?

[chuckles]

Yes, I did.

And there are more
spooky surprises coming.

Oh, I can hardly wait.

Well, I better finish setting up
the arts and crafts table.

I brought some arts
and crafts too.

Paint your own mini-coffins. Eh?

[chuckles]

So, Poppy, Bridget,

It's... different from last year.

-That's for sure.
-Yeah.

A lot more cobwebbing
than I remember.

Vee, are you sure
it's not too spooky?

[moaning]

to be school fair chair.

she's not going to turn into a chair?

-I dunno?

who wants a spine-tingling tour
before the fair opens?

[gasps] I do! Come on,
you'll see it's not too spooky.

This is goblin mini-golf.

Woo-hoo! [yelps]

That made me jump.

Good, it worked.

[yelps]

I always say,
"The jumpier, the better."

This game's my favorite.

The Wheel of Surprise.

That doesn't sound so bad.

Is there supposed to be a surprise?

-[yells] Boo!
-[both scream]

Surprise! [laughs]

Now, better go check on Mr. Gore
at the dunk tank.

I'm afraid to ask, but...

is it filled with water?

Ah! Water-schmater!

It's filled with slime!

Vee, remember
how you said it wasn't too spooky?

-Yes?
-It's too spooky.

Boy and girls,

welcome to the school fair!

I hope everything is
spook-sational.

[kids screaming]

I think the spook part
is covered.

Yes! [screams]

-Boo!
-Whoa!

[screams]

enjoying themselves.

-Hello, Mr. Gore.

So, what do you think
of the fair?

Well, I'll be honest, it's
not quite what I expected.

[screams]

[laughs] And just wait,

-there is much more to come.
-Oh!

It's time for the cakewalk.

I love cakewalks.

You might not love this one.

Ah! The cake is walking!

Yes, the best cakes do.

Cool!

[gasps]

Gregoria, look at that ghost.

It's adorable!
It looks just like me!

Well, if you want it,

Somehow,
I got roped into holding these.

No one seems spooked at all.

and creepy cotton candy.

[wailing]

[screams] Ah! Ghosts!

Okay, a lot spooked.

Mr. Gore, is that you?

I was not expecting
the dunk tank to be full of slime.

[chuckling nervously] I should have worn
my lab goggles.

Ah! It's a slime monster!
Everybody run!

[kids screaming]

Why is everyone running
and screaming?

I think Poppy and Bridget
were right, Mama.

I think the fair
is way too spooky.

Oh dear!
I just wanted to make it different.

I guess I went too far.

It's okay. We can handle this.

It's just a few running cakes
and some spooky games, right?

Well, yes.

Oh, and the three-legged race.

Oh, no.

Something tells me it's not
the regular kind of three legged race.

-Run!
-Monster! Run!

Okay, this time, I'm gonna win.

I can feel it in my bones.

-You don't have bones.
-That's not the point.

Don't worry, ghostie,

[crying hysterically] No!

Okay, you've had your fun.

Now, can we go get some creepy cotton c...
and you're playing again,

so, I guess that's a no.
[sighs]

-[monster growling]
-Monster!

Vee, we have a problem.

Oh, no, what is it now?

-Slime?
-Skeletons?

Spiders!

[all gasping]

Frogs and Fangs,
this is a disaster!

But I have an idea.

Please don't say
it's another surprise.

No, we are going
to de-scare the fair.

go back to enjoying themselves

without getting spooked.

[all kids sighing]

[girl] Oh, well...

-Where's everyone going?
-Oh, no. Is it too late?

scare everybody away?

Edgar, why are you leaving?

Isn't the fair better now?

Not really, Vee.
It was spooky and awesome,

and it had new games.

Now, it's just a regular old fair.

I know we said the fair
was too spooky, Vee,

but, now that everything's gone,
I think it was more fun before!

Oxana, what happened
to all the spooky things?

We made it go away.

I thought nobody liked it.

And it wasn't what you expected.

Right, Mr. Gore?

It wasn't what I expected.

It was better than I expected.

Superbly spooky and completely unique.

We were right, the first time, Mama.

It was perfectly spooky,
and perfectly you.

That's something I'd never change.

Then we know what to do.

We need to re-scare the fair!

[chuckling]

[monster growling]

[kids screaming and laughing]

[laughing]

Ghosts and ghouls!

Everyone is having
a spook-tacular time.

I knew everyone
would love your style, Mama.

Great job, Mrs. Hauntley.

Your flair really made the fair.

Yeah, who needs boring old games
when we have these?

[grunting] Yah! Yah!
Oh, yah!

[laughing]

I'm so glad
everything worked out.

Me too. And I'm glad
you were the school fair chair.

Because you made this
the best fair ever.

And you're the best mama ever.

I smeared my bat-scara.

Well, Oxana, I have to say,
you did a super-duper job.

And, uh,
I wanna ask you something.

-Yay!

I can't wait for next year.

I sure hope so.

I feel like I've been standing here
for at least a year.

And that's coming from someone

who has actually stood
in one spot for a whole year.

-Demi?
-[yelps]

Whoa.

What?

[sputtering] I did it! I won!

I finally won!
And adorable little ghostie is mine!

[edna laughing]

Hello!

Uh, wait, how am I gonna
go up there and get my prize?

Uh, I-I'm a ghost.

Is somebody gonna
claim their prize?

I will, Mrs. Peepleson.

I know exactly who it's for.

-Aw!
-[laughing]
