But the tide in
our last location,

it was so hot, it basically
k*lled our freshwater source.

So we had to get off the beach,

and getting another step closer

to getting off this island.

So north is gonna
be straight ahead.

And that's upstream.

I say we keep following

Any way out of here

He has not a good history

dwindling resources...

[Kerra] It's not enough
food for all of us.

Rachel's injured knee

prompted a plan to
move north by water.

the raft completed,

Rachel made a
difficult decision.

I think I really
need to tap out.

I just keep catching
these little baby crabs.

Tomorrow we will be leaving

on the raft.

I know we need to eat
and we'll need some energy.

So I went from
shrimping to snailing.

The midday sun
is definitely hot.

It's burning the rocks up.

Doing a job on the toesies.

This is the end of day 14,

which is the furthest

that I've made it in my
previous challenges.

I tapped on day 12 and I was
medically tapped on day 13.

So, uh, I'm now eager

for day 15 and what it entails.

And there's no
signs of stopping.

So, they started their fire.

I have to stare at his a*s.

[laughs] It's a good one.

[Kerra] We sail out tomorrow,

and it's gonna be

about our boat.

oars. We've got a plan.

get out of this cove.

This fever's gonna go down.

already this morning.

Both water. And
my head feels hot.

really hard in the sun, like, hot.

Justin needs to be

challenge. We're so close to finishing.

And I know that it would
just eat him up inside

Justin still feels really hot, so I'm
trying to get his core temperature down.

Otherwise, he's coming
out of this 21-day challenge.

for signs of anything
more serious.

[Justin] In my head, they
were going to med-tap me,

I was going to go home
all embarrassed and sad,

but not the case. The
water took care of it.

I believe I just
overexerted myself.

Kerra's so sweet,
splashing water on my face.

I felt like a baby,
but it worked.

We probably should go over
sort of what the plan for today is.

I can definitely
help on the raft.

rest before we take off.

float for him out of this mangrove

So far, this area's
looking really good.

The only trouble is it's a
struggle getting wood here

because of this sharp valley.

So right now I'm just
hucking it down this cliff.

That smells really bad.

So, what's happening is
the hind legs are thicker

so they didn't get enough heat,

like this part right here.

I kept it out of the equation
that animal got strangled,

so the blood is
still in the system,

which kept the thick parts
of the muscle really moist.

What needs to happen is I have to
start cutting this meat thinner slices

and that will speed
up the drying process.

What I need from you...

The thin guard, I
need you to open it up

-as flat as possible.
-[Andrew] Okay.

-[Bulent] Almost like a barbeque rack.
-[Andrew] I can do that.

[Bulent] And we have
to cook the insides.

So hopefully that
will get done soon,

and tomorrow
we're ready to leave.

cuddling with me on that raft.

We will be leaving to
try to find a new location.

raft we constructed.

So I'll take the

tin cans, the bed pan.

And I'll grab our fire starters.

[Na'im] We'll need to
get a fire started tonight,

so we have a magnifying
glass that we used to make fire

from our last location.

Plus this char cloth that
Rachel had made before.

So hopefully, everything
goes smoothly.

to get out of this spot.

I hope it's less rocky, man.

-I just can't stand these rocks.

[Justin] After a few days of
waiting for our partner, Bulent,

we are going to
leave here without him.

We are all hopeful
that he will just meet us

on the northern
tip of the island.

[narrator] From
their cove location

on the western
side of the island,

the castaways plan to paddle
north along the rugged coastline

in hopes of reaching the
northernmost tip of the island

where they must
build a signal fire

in order to be
rescued on day 21.

-[Justin] Man, the tide's crazy, dude.

Justin, we'll try and get you as
close to the blue buoy as you can.

I can definitely feel the
sun beating on my back,

but if I can keep my body temperature
low, then I'm gonna be okay.

so what we are trying to do

If you don't have any intention
or the skills to preserve the meat,

a beautiful animal.

find a nice clearing

where we can find a location

that'll suit us for the evening.

Our mood quickly shifts because
we realize how late in the day it is,

and all we have is a lens and
some random pieces of wood

And we need to get fire.

You can feel the agitation and
the anxiety level starting to increase

knowing that a night
without fire could be

a really cold,
uncomfortable night.

Luckily, we're able to use this
char cloth that Rachel had made.

was made from strips

of tightly packed cotton fibers

that were then exposed to heat,

resulting charcoal-like sheets
with a much lower ignition point

than regular wood kindling.

The sun is going down. I'm struggling
really hard to get this fire started.

We're all kind of in panic mode.

If we don't get fire, Justin
could be out of the challenge.

I-I don't like, uh,
being told that,

completing something,

in life in general, so it's
kind devastating to me.

Kerra definitely
genuinely cared for me,

as a human being as I was down.

uh, really fast
on this challenge.

I'm happy I was able to take
care of him when he needed it.

I'd like to think in some
ways, it kept him going

and stayed in this
challenge a little bit longer.

with amoebic dysentery,

a parasitic
infection of the colon

that occurs from
drinking untreated water.

After being treated
with antibiotics,

he made a full recovery.

People come and
go, people get sick.

You know, it is what it is, and
I'm gonna finish this challenge

because I know that he
would be so mad if I didn't.

At this point, you know,
me and Kerra both realize

that it's just us two.

Maybe the only two
people on the island.

I really do feel
like a castaway.

[Andrew] We have no
idea how far we have to go.

We don't even really know
technically where we are.

It's just like a pothole.

the team has pushed
two miles northwest.

But have reached a bend in
the river that will send them south,

away from their
day 21 rescue site

at the northern
tip of the island.

[Patrick] Guys, it looks like
there's a path coming up this way

to get out of the river.

[Heather] Okay.

[Andrew] And this
river is taking us south.

[Patrick] Let's
follow game trail up.

[Andrew] Good, let's go.

[Bulent] Slowly,
there's-there's no rush.

Not only it's slippery

but it's-- also
will cut your foot.

we've gotta go up

and we know gotta go north.

So, we're climbing up
these huge boulders

uh, that are rocky
and sharp and jagged.

doing this barefoot

and with low energy.

This is probably the
scariest hike of my life.

is to be in the north end of the island.

suspicions about our location,

so I brought my

if this is completely west,

-that is north.
-[Patrick] Yup.

-[Bulent] We are not at most north.

Means we gotta
travel a little bit further.

[Bulent] In freaking rescue day,

you have to be in
right spot and right time.

Therefore, it looks like
we have another move.

[Kerra] What happened?

[Bulent] We located most north,

we are definitely
in the wrong place.

We are not getting rescued here.

So, major concerns.
Our journey is not done,

and we have further to travel.

So it's, like, bad
news before bedtime.

I'm, like, mentally and
physically exhausted.

[Heather] My
body's just worn out.

I don't know if my legs and
my feet can take any more.

[Patrick] Especially
barefoot on rocks.

[Heather] With
injured feet already.

[Andrew] All of us have skin chunks
just hanging off our feet right now.

Every part of my body hurts.

All of us are like that.

It's not over till it's over.
