I used to be in the
military for several years.
I was a master corporal,
I regularly took
part in missions,
particularly operations abroad.

super-traditional
survival techniques,
I still manage to get by.
I guess you could call me
MacGyver of the
female persuasion.

and mental strength,
but her lack of
survival-skill knowledge
could be her Achilles heel.
She begins with a PSR of 6.3.
Kevin loves traveling
around the world.
This means he is very
adaptable to many situations,
but his introverted character
and somewhat fragile mind
lead experts to start
him with a PSR of 6.0.
These scores will be reevaluated
at the end of the challenge.

who is not a seasoned adventurer,
being in a jungle
is kind of cool.

taking care of both him and me.
There are two of us, but
it doesn't feel that way.

weeks in the Colombian jungle,
Emmanuelle, who weighed
137 pounds at the start,
lost 14 pounds.
With her boundless energy
and her endless determination,
Emmanuelle called on
her military experience
to push herself without
ever giving up on her partner.
Her primitive survival rating
increases from 6.3 to 7.0.
By choosing to do a fast,
Kevin, who was already thin,
lost 20 pounds.
With little theoretical
knowledge,
Kevin wanted to overcome
the challenge using his mind,
but by making a risky
decision for his health
and leaving his partner
to fend for herself,
experts determined
that he lost ground
during the ordeal.
Without Emmanuelle,
Kevin might never
have made it to the end.
His PSR drops
from a 6.0 to a 5.7.
Emmanuelle and Kevin both
showed great mental fortitude
and proved together they
could survive Naked and Afraid.
